Page's was great food and excellent service. It was a ton of food. The appetizer of okra basket can feed at least 4. It was a little mushy and not truly fried and crunchy. The chicken fried steak was really good flavor and tender as can be.

Best shrimp and grits I have ever had. They formed the grits in triangle shape and bake them or something? It's so unique.

    My true addiction! Fried okra.

After a long moving day from Florida to here, we needed some comfort. We knew where to go. I had sent my movers here the night before and they loved it as well. Everyone from the hostesses, wait staff and management could not be nicer! I found my new favorite dish. The fried shrimp and crab rice bowl which comes with two hush puppies and of course I got a side of okra. That crab rice had a sneaky touch of heat on the back end and it was perfect! The yum yum sauce was also good and I slathered it on top. We also the crab bacon chowder and a fried shrimp platter which has two sides and hush puppies. Everything was steaming hot and they were really busy because it was the bridge race day , but the kitchen held up well to the crowd.. We stared at the dessert case since that is where we were seated all through lunch . So tempting , but I managed to fight it. Glad to be here permanently!!!

Even on a rainy Sunday this place still pulled in a crowd. I ordered the Salmon Benedict. The salmon was done perfectly at medium like I asked. The eggs were also nicely poached. They did overdue the hollandaise sauce though which caused the eggs and sauce to be next to the salmon instead of on it. Presentation was not the best but it tasted good. I asked for the home fries crispy and they came out perfect. There is alot of outside seating available that was enclosed due to the rain but must be beautiful to sit out at when it's nice except there is a lot of traffic going by. Oh, and there is lots of free parking!!! It's a solid restaurant. I would go back next time I'm in town.

Will definitely be coming back to Page's Okra Grill. I will say we were pretty hungry so that might be affecting my review. We were sat in the patio area by the bar and it was very nice. I loved the music they played. Our server got to us quickly and was super attentive throughout the meal. I got a Paloma to drink and it was pretty good! Nothing really to write home about. As for food, Jack got the chicken and waffles (but of course I stole a few bites) and boy was it delicious! The chicken was perfectly crispy and the waffles even had a little bit of a savory flavor. I got the fried shrimp which came with 2 sides (amazing) so I opted for the mac and cheese and coleslaw. I didn't know it would come with a biscuit so that was a nice surprise! The shrimp were nice and crispy and I had a variety of sauces to choose from. The Mac and cheese was sooo good and I like to think of myself as a Mac connoisseur. Coleslaw was good. And I can't forget about the fried okra!! Highly recommend ordering it. They are delicious and come with a yummy dipping sauce. And you get a lot of bang for your buck!

Girlfriend and I went to Page's today for lunch. We were both excited to try this place after reading the reviews and reading the menu. Well, I'll just say it was FINE. Nothing special. We opened with the redneck rolls - which are spring rolls filled with pulled pork and pimento cheese. Sounds awesome, right? Well, no...the meat filling seemed to be pureed and it ended up coming through very "one note". Couldn't really discern any smoke flavor in the meat, despite the fact that they apparently cook it in the smoker out back. From there, I got one of the seafood platters, which included fried shrimp, a crab cake, fried flounder along with fried okra and a sweet potato casserole. Again, it was FINE. I think it was $28 for that dish and, honestly, I've had much better fried seafood at several other places in the Charleston area (e.g., Bowman's on James Island, Acme at IOP). Girlfriend got shrimp and grits and it ended up being some kind of shrimp cake that was doused in a sauce. She said it was ok...not great (I didn't try it because it didn't look that appetizing). Other than that, I got a Bloody Mary and it was quite good. Definitely above average. As to the service, the bartender (we sat outside at the bar) was AWESOME. Super nice guy who was great about striking up conversation and checking on us frequently. FIVE STARS when it came to service. In conclusion, this place is just ok. My suspicion is that it gets such great ratings primarily because of the number of tourists who come here and don't realize that there are so many better options available. In any case, we will not be coming back.

Appetizer size of their world, famous shrimp, and grits.

The service was very good. Very prompt. Very friendly. It was a little too greasy for us, but maybe that's just us. It was our least favorite restaurant in all of Charleston. This is sort of the Denny's of seafood restaurants. Nothing to write home about. We were seated outside, but it was on a busy road so all you heard was the cars zooming past. And the music was a little too loud.

They are good for a reason. If you haven't taken the opportunity I recommend dining at Page's Okra Grill. I arrived for breakfast and I was not disappointed. The service was fast and friendly, the food played well but was also tasty. The portions were huge so bring your appetite. The restaurant itself has a lot of seating and I chuckled a bit because it reminded me of Jam Eateries here in Maryland which I enjoy quite a bit. That similarity appeared which having parties with small children as you are relocated from the main dining area. You may view this good or bad but it does allow for a bit of privacy for your group and comfort to the guests in the crowded main area. I did manage to record a video to give a bit more insight on the food. Overall 4.9 out of 5

The food is outstanding. Service is great. Did I mention how good the food is? Came back two days in a row after we were told how good the breakfast is. I got perfectly seasoned and prepared pork chops the first time and shrimp and grits and begneits the next morning. Wow. He got the Coleman and everybody was happy. Every element was perfect. This convinced me I haven't ever had a decent southern breakfast until now. No question I'll be back if I ever come to Charleston. Plenty of disabled spots in front. The parking lot can be tricky because gps takes you around back. You'll see the attendant stand out front. Lots of room to maneuver around and the bars have steps to rest your feet for some of the folks with shorter legs. This is a must visit if you're in town. Hands down the BEST pork chops and shrimp n grits I've ever had. He said they had the best fried fish hes ever had... and the lemon custard with the begneits were out of this world. You can't go wrong here.

Our family was in Charleston for 5 days and we went here twice! Once for dinner and second for breakfast. Dinner was great! Me and my sister split the Fried Chicken dinner and it was plenty of food and delicious. My mom got the fried okra and the beignets! Those were delicious! Breakfast was great too! I got the Steak and Hash Bowl and it wasn't quite what I expected, but my mistake on what I ordered. My mom and sister's breakfast was delicious! Both visits our service was great. Our servers were excellent and one of them was from Ohio so that was great to have something in common. If I was from the area, this place would be a great breakfast spot to be with friends.

The only problem you will have here is what you are gonna order tomorrow that you didn't order today. The varied food choices are mind boggling. We finally settled on the fried green tomatoes, the chicken and waffles, and the blueberry stuffed biscuit with lemon glaze. The pimento and pickled okra and tomato relish with the tomatoes was excellent. The waffle was a meal by itself and the chicken breasts were perfectly cooked. Moist and crunchy at the same time. The blue berry biscuit was stuffed with fruit and was delicious. Staff was friendly and "team" served the entire dining room so no one was ever not under the eye of a thoughtful staff member. You can get whatever you want or need on the menu as it is very deep and versatile for whatever you happen to be in the mood for. Location is clean and orderly and the wait was minimal to be seated. I wanted to come back the next day to try the "hot mess" breakfast dish. Next time I guess.....

Pages Okra grill is a southern staple. I have come for breakfast, lunch and dinner- I've even picked up take out orders! Their lively, down to earth atmosphere has locals and visitors coming back frequently. Oh, let's not forget their iconic brunch and huge Bloody Marys. During peak season this place can get PACKED. Best to get there early. But don't forget to take a photo on the iconic chair. The service is always top-notch - they take care of you and remind you what southern charm is about. They serve tons of southern classics from the beloved shrimp and grits, to fried chicken and waffles. The food is consistent and reasonably priced. If you're craving home style cooking, look no further!

I had visited this place a couple weekends ago when I was in Charleston. It's actually located in Mount Pleasant. The food, atmosphere and service were really good. I typically don't order fried food, but I figured since I was in Charleston I would try it. The fried shrimp was very good and it wasn't greasy at all. The fried okra and lima beans were delicious too. Also, the biscuits were very good. I just wish they served them complimentary and not just with a meal. I also tried the strawberry basil mule and it was tasty and not too strong. I can't wait to visit again.

We had to try the Apple Pie shots since everyone seems to talk about them. This is way more complex than some apple flavor liquor. The ingredients take some prep work, and the result is something that literally tastes like apple pie. If they bottled this, I would definitely buy it. They have two specialty drinks, the Freshy and the Orange Crush, both of which are made with fresh squeezed juice squeezed right when you order. I had the Freshy which is orange or grapefruit juice with your favorite liquor. I chose grapefruit with vodka and even though I am not a huge fan of grapefruit the freshness and tartness of the drink made it quite enjoyable. My wife had the Orange Crush with Deep Eddy's O.J vodka, Triple Sec, Sprite and some of that fresh squeezed orange juice. It was nice and sweet which was good since we were ordering a lot of savory options. The Potato Skins arrived first and they were truly impressive. Good sized skins with the perfect amount of potato, not too thick or too dry and definitely homemade. They had mixed cheese, bacon and green onions served with sour cream also loaded with green onions. As far as all the potato skins I have had these were a standout. Next came the onion rings with an absolute massive serving for just eight dollars. You could tell they were homemade and served with a chili garlic sauce. The best part was the batter coating which was crispy yet didn't fall off when bent or bitten. They reheated nicely in the air fryer. Next, we tried the Toasted Raviolis which were filled with Italian sausage and served with a house made marinara. They were nice and crispy, but the true star was the marinara sauce which was thick and chunky with parmesan mixed all throughout. I wish they had more dishes that used this sauce as it was excellent. On the advice of some regulars, I tried the chicken fingers which were all breast meat, dill brined and hand battered. It was good advice since the chicken was juicy and tender with a flavorful coating. Sometimes it pays to ask. My wife ordered the thing they are known for their Philly Cheesesteak. She decided on double meat, and they were super generous to the point she looked at me and said, "I don't know how I am going to finish this!". This cheesesteak gets nominate for a lot of best of lists and I could see why. I liked that the cheese was mixed in with the meat and not just poured on top. She enjoyed it but said next time she will order it as is. This is a great place to hang out and relax and maybe catch a band or some bluegrass and enjoy a great meal!

Our sides: Collards (this is the low country) and fried Brussel sprouts, again well prepared. Price: $38.25 and among the higher-priced items on the seafood-heavy menu but worth it. Others in our party, including two non seafood eaters, chose the pecan fried chicken (two breast with one each going home because of the size) with another going with the Carolina Duo of the chicken and short ribs. Then we stood there a good 10 minutes while the bartender, who let us know he's studying to be a dentist up in Spartanburg, was busy chatting away with another customer like we weren't even there. When he finally got around to us, it felt like we were more of an inconvenience than paying customers. But the real kicker came after we finally got our drinks. The manager came up, and I kid you not, told us we had to leave the restaurant and go out to the parking lot to finish them. No explanation, just attitude, and not a polite one either. To be honest, the manager seemed like she might have had a little too much Easter spirit, if you catch my drift. The whole interaction was downright combative and made us feel completely unwelcome. What really got me, though, was the poor hostesses and waitstaff. They apologized to us over and over and quietly let us know this kind of situation is something they deal with on a daily basis. We even heard her speaking sharply to another customer, which made it clear this wasn't just a one time issue. Honestly, the whole experience felt like a bad trip to the dentist and cost about the same as a root canal. All in all, it was a mess from start to finish, rude, confusing, and about as un Southern hospitality as you can get. I would think twice before going back, y'all.

It was delicious but since beans are of high FODMAP, I only had a little. The fish was topped with tomato jam made with crushed tomatoes, onions and sugar. It was served chilled. Paired well with the fish and succutash. The soup was creamy, silky, and full of flavor from cauliflower. The pistachio added some crunchiness to it. The taste of "green apple" was not obvious; in fact I was expecting there to be some apple slices, which could add extra texture and sourness to this rich soup. I also asked for a side of sourdough. A bit too salty for me. The service was kinda slow, except that food came out in reasonable amoutn of time **after I placed the order**, that is, I waited quite a while to order my food. The same for doing the check. I guess it was because there were not many staff at lunchtime, and most of them were senior thus could move as fast as young ppl.
