if you're looking for a bowl of comforting korean food, paik's noodle is the place to go! the chili Jjajangmyeon is my favorite as it provides a little bit of heat that pairs well w a slightly sweet black bean sauce. it isn't overly rich which is why i could get it every time. the seafood jjamppong is also very yummy! whereas jjajangmyeon is sweet and salty, jjamppong is more sour and salty. it's very comforting on a cold day and they don't skimp out on the seafood either! food comes out fast and the team is friendly. the interior is decent sized. have tried to squeeze 10 in there before and although doable, you'll have to wait awhile! overall, great experience, reasonable prices and consistent delivery of some korean staples.

I like consistency in the places we go to eat and the food here achieves that mark! I highly recommend the deep fried lemon chicken with tangy dipping sauce is a choice to not overlook. Our go to on each visit is the stir fried seafood jajangmyeon that comes loaded - enough for two people - with noodles, pork, shrimp, squid and vegetables in spicy black bean sauce. If you want something spicy try the deep fried battered shrimp in a sweet and spicy chili sauce topped with peanuts. The service is no frills and you order at the counter and they'll bring your food out to you. The staff is great and feel free to order all the pickled daikon you can eat! The interior is clean and modern and the noise level can get a bit lively when filled with customers but at a tolerable level.

The food came out pretty quickly and staff were friendly. I enjoyed the jajangmyeon and jjampong and lemon chicken. The portions were huge too. Definitely can be shared with a group. I recommend checking this place out!

Upon my initial visit, I was uncertain whether to sit or place an order first. Thus, I stood by the entrance. Additionally, I was unaware that I had arrived five minutes prior to the business's opening time, despite the door being wide open. Several staff members passed by without acknowledging me, with one employee staring at me for a while. I wish they had greeted me promptly and informed me that the business would be opening soon, rather than leaving me feeling ignored. After a considerable amount of time had passed, the first thing the staff member said was, 'We are closed.' I was genuinely puzzled. It was not a good experience to start with, but ok. In contrast, the order taker was remarkably friendly. He greeted and communicated nicely. Other servers too. They raised my star rating higher. Culinary-wise, I had high expectations for bold flavors, given Paik Jong Won's founding and ownership. However, the Tangsuyuk was lacking in seasoning. The Jajangmyeon was acceptable but not outstanding. My friend's choice, Beef Jjamppong, while not my preference, was more appetizing than it appeared. The close by competitior has much more flavorful dishes, in my opinion. Wish for better experience from start to finish in the future.

Casual and quick Korean food that you always see in Kdramas. Good price for the portion! Jajangmyeon - 4/5 Savory and sweet! Compared to other jajangmyeon's I had which were bitter, this was a bit sweeter. Noodles were chewy and jajang was flavorful. Sweet and sour pork - 4/5 My favorite dish that I ordered. Pork was tender and I thoroughly enjoyed the light and thin batter, making it addictive. Two things that could have been improved was the sweet and sour sauce and the crunchiness of the pork. The sweet and sour sauce was missing a little something -- perhaps a bit more sourness? Shrimp fried rice - 3.5/5 Good basic shrimp fried rice that is not dry. I would've preferred no jajang sauce on the side and more fried rice so I wouldn't get this again.

Came here after work on a weekday and it was surprisingly busy. We put our name down and got called back after about 40 minutes. We came back almost immediately (within a minute of getting the text), but somehow our table had already been given away, so we had to wait another 15 minutes. The whole seating process felt pretty disorganized. Once you're called, you have to order at the counter before sitting down. We ordered a variety of dishes to share. Overall, the food was just okay. The jjajangmyeon and jjampong were decent, but the fried items were oddly soggy and didn't taste fresh. Service was where things really fell apart. It took over 30 minutes for food to start coming out, and I had to repeatedly follow up on missing dishes. It felt chaotic and uncoordinated. In the middle of our meal, one of the servers rushed over and asked for my receipt and card. I spoke to her in Korean (since she was Korean) to ask what was going on, but she didn't explain and just walked away. She later came back saying my charge didn't go through and asked if I paid with Amex. I told her I used a Visa and could already see the charge on my card, so she might be mixing me up with another table. She still asked for my receipt, which I gave her. After some time, she returned it and just dropped it off without any explanation or follow-up, which felt really bizarre. I really wanted to like this place since I miss having a good Korean-Chinese spot nearby, but after this experience, I don't think I'll be coming back.

We had the Jajangmyeon and the sweet and sour pork. The meat had no gristle and as not greasy at all. Really enjoyed the noodles and... to get scissors at the table was super exciting for me. The health rating here is "good". I didn't have any problems with cleanliness here. You walk to the front to order and pay, and it's delivered quickly to the table. Our items didn't come out at the same time, but we didn't have to wait long for the second dish. Our items were tasty, the noodles could have been hotter, they were warm. I requested a fork, the metal chopsticks were really slippery but I like seeing the metal chopsticks and cups, that makes me feel like they get sanitized properly in the washer. The portions were fair. Two of us ordered one noodle dish and the sweet and sour pork, enjoyed plenty, and went home with leftovers.

Bumped into Paik's Noodle and my impression is a solid 4 star rating. The service is awesome: super friendly staff, no waiting around forever to order, and whether I'm there in person or using the app, everything moves fast. Food usually hits the table in like 8-10 minutes. The black pepper beef is the real winner here. It's packed with tender beef slices and that wok hei is legit--you can taste and smell the high-heat magic, that smoky char flavor that makes it feel super fresh off the wok. The Jajangmyeon though? It's fine, but kinda meh for me. The gravy and noodles are decent, but it felt pretty light on the actual ingredients--mostly just noodles with not enough meat or veggies to make it feel satisfying. For the price I was hoping for a bit more stuff in there. The place itself is clean and modern, but yeah, it does smell pretty smoky inside from all the wok cooking going on. Doesn't bother me much (kinda adds to the vibe), but if smoke smells bug you, just a heads up. Overall, fast, tasty, great service, and that black pepper beef keeps me coming back. And the complimentary pickled radish.

Honestly wasn't expecting a lot since it's a big chain, but wow did they deliver on the flavors! I got the jjamppong which had a good amount of smokiness in the spicy seafood broth and the noodles were good as well. The tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) was crispy but light with good chew and the jjajangmyeon was tasty as well. Big portions for the noodles. The service is friendly and you order at the counter before being seated. Casual dining seating.

Its been long overdue to write a review for this spot. We are so glad there's a Paik's noodle in washington. We've come here a couple of time after we moved up here a couple month ago. The place is great and the staff are very friendly. The only thing different from out of state was that we had to place our orders prior grabbing a table; but its whatever doesnt change the fact the food is great. What we got: Sweet and sour pork/Tangsuyuk (5/5) Its our favorite; consistently delicious and just as good as i've had it out of state. We always order it everytime. Spicy Jjajangmyeon (5/5) Our favorite noodle dish to get; plenty of chilli on top. Get the regular if you dont like spicy; its still just as good. Chii Shrimps (4/5) First time we tried it. It was good. Suprisingly spicy; i though it would be somewhat sweet. I wonder if i can order it w/ the sauce on the side instead? Because that would be perfect if the shrimp stay crispy. Overall Its always good to go to Paik's Great food overall and the service was great. Ive tried almost everything on the menu (when i was still in california) and they all delicious.

I'd say this spot is a no frills shop, food met expectations without being extra. All things considered, price is especially fair for the area. Ample parking in a plaza which gets bonus points. Meat Jajangmyeon - simple noodles swimming in a pool of savory umami sauce. The black bean sauce is tasty blending all three flavors of savory, sweet, and salty. At the price point, the meat portion is balanced, though all fatty. The fattiness adds more salty, savory to the base jajangmyeon but would love more of a solid meat protein.

There was a 10 minute wait time on Sunday morning. The food is okay. You need to order at the counter before get seated. The stir fried is Jajangmyeon is my favorite. The flavour is very rich. I chose mild and it's a little spicy ". The sweet and sour pork is also good. You can either use the dipping source or pour it onto the pork. Also ordered the spicy seafood noodles. It's a little too spicy for us.

Service was really good, everyone was really nice but the process was a littleeee confusing. Because it's so busy they ask you to first order and pay for the food right before you sit but that process wasn't very clear. One more thing they could do is have all the utensils and stuff at the table on the side (kind of like pho restaurants) then that way the servers can focus on other things since it's so busy. The food was pretty good. We got the jengban jjajjangmyun, jjajjangmyun, chili shrimp, and tangsooyook. The jengban jjajjangmyun was surprisingly really good! The jjajjangmyun was pretty good as well but the jengban was better. The tangsuyuk could have been better if it was a little more crispy and the chili shrimp was okay. Idk why but I wasn't a fan on how it was fried, kinda wanted it to be a little.. fluffier? Overall it was pretty good and I would come again for the jengban and the tangsuyuk (but ask for it to be a little more crispier) read more

Service 0/5 The system here is VERY UNORGANIZED. They are unable to execute FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. We waited in line for over an hour and they refused service because we did not sign up on the online system. There was no sign or anyone telling us to get on a waitlist. Many people in line behind us have also been refused service after waiting over an hour and left. At least have someone providing instructions... read more

Went at 440pm. Three of us ordered jjajang, jjampong, and tangsuyuk. Had to prepay. Got seated in ten minutes. After an hour, done with noodles and tiny side of yellow radish, but no sign of tangsuyuk despite asking several times. Asked for a refund, and about 10 minutes later, got the dish refunded. No refund given for tax or tip. This is why they have you prepay. When we left, about 20 people were standing at the entrance, and half the tables were empty. Weird ambiance with all those people waiting impatiently, empty tables, and servers running around. Still has some bugs to work out. We likely won't return anytime soon, especially with this payment system. I recommend leaving cash tip here. Noodles were good. Not worth the hassle though. read more

0/5 I have heard amazing things about this restaurant and was super excited to try out a new Korean food spot in the Seattle area. However, my experience was appalling. The website indicates the restaurant closes at 9 pm so I went with friends at 6 pm and waited for around 30 minutes in line. As we inched closer to the entrance, I was getting more and more excited to eat inside. However, when my friends and I were at the front of the line and inside the restaurant, we were refused service and forced to leave. The hostess said that they were too busy to take 2 more people, mind you, we were the last 2 people waiting. I was taken aback but I understand if the staff were stressed due to the restaurant's newfound popularity. The next day, I called back to voice my complaints about the rude service I experienced but was dumbfounded when I received even worse service over the phone. Never in my life have I ever experienced such a rude encounter over the phone. I have worked in the restaurant industry for 5+ years and know to be accommodating and understanding to customers no matter the situation. No empathy or understanding was given. I was so excited to support a new Asian business, but I do not recommend this place to anyone in the area. read more

Delicious! Walked in for a to go order for lunch and the food was ready in 5 minutes, still warm when I drove home. I tried the tangsuyuk, jajjangmyun, and jjampong. The noodles were nice and bouncy and the jjampong had a nice spice to it. I appreciated that the noodles and sauces were all kept separate in the order so nothing was mushy when we got home. There were a few people dining in and plenty of space still available inside. read more

Food, service, ambiance/atmosphere all suck here. It's a wonder that they even manage to pull in customers still. The flavor is not the flavor of the chain and it seems they have created their own recipe, which is worse and frankly not good. I've never been more disappointed in this chain ever and I've tried this chain in LA, Irvine, San Diego, San Francisco, Austin, and all over Korea. There is ZERO smokey flavor that's the staple of this chain. They are stingy with their main ingredients. Also the deep fried dishes come out soggy instead of crispy (like how?!?). Just avoid this place and save your money. read more

Paik's is a solid spot for casual Korean Chinese food with great prices. I've dined here many times and usually order the stir-fried jajangmyeon (I ask for no spice) and tangsuyuk. The stir-fried jajangmyeon comes with a generous amount of seafood and is easily big enough to serve two people. The tangsuyuk is always nice and chewy and crispy. It has a great texture and isn't too oily. I've also tried the jjamppong but couldn't handle the heat, although now I think they have options to adjust the spice level so I'll have to give it another try. Every time I've come the food has come out quickly even when they're really busy. Paik's is a well-known chain in Korea and I'm so glad to have a location closer to home! read more

My Jjamppong does not have squid but my friend got a few. The worst experience is that I found a black short hair in my soup in half way. I have no appetite. I got the hair out on the napkin and go to the ordering counter. I just nicely told the young lady that there's an hair in my soup and gave her the napkin. After a few minutes, the other woman, maybe the manager, told me that it maybe my own hair. I have long brown colored hair. She said it could be my bang. I was very upset how they handled this situation. I will not recommend it. read more

The food was amazing, service was great and the lady who was at the cash register was super nice and went above and beyond! She took the time to explain the drinks and even walked over to the fridge to show me the most popular one, a yoghurt flavored Soju that was also sooo good by the way. Came to this restaurant on a whim after seeing this place on an influencer's Instagram, always looking for a great place for Jajangmyeon and were actually surprised at the price, which is cheaper than most places that serve this specific dish. It was great, had the wok hay flavor that I'm always looking for when it comes to getting a good bowl of black bean noodles. We also ordered the Tangsuyuk, decently priced as well, I feel like the pieces of Pork could have been crispier, and they were getting stuck together, but the sauce was good. The last thing we ordered was the Bokeummyeon which was packed with seafood and really had great flavor. I know that they just recently opened, so I'm giving them more of the benefit of the doubt and also, want to try other foods they have. Service was good, it is a pay a the counter first and find a seat, almost fast food type, which I am pretty used to with the different Korean Food Hall Eating spots in the greater Seattle Area (Lynnwood - H-Mart Food Hall, Lakewood - Paldo Food Hall) pretty much follows that when it comes to getting your food. The servers were nice and very helpful when we had other requests (more napkins, bowls, etc.). I was telling my partner how all the K-Pop playing really reminded me of a couple Korean bar places we go to in the Federal Way Area. For Bellevue, we're glad to see this place come in, inexpensive Korean-Chinese food, that hits the spot. Also, conveniently located close to Total Wine and Uwajimaya, so one-stop shop! read more

The service was pretty good considering how busy it was. First time trying jajiang noodles and it was a bit too sweet but flavorful. We enjoyed the seafood stir fried noodles and the spicy noodle soup very much. So much so, we visited the restaurant 3x this month. The pot stickers were delicious too. read more

I was super excited because I've been craving for Jjampong soup. I ordered Jjampong soup & rice and Tangsuyuk. The flavors were there, but the veggies in the jjapong soup was overcooked and were mushy. I was glad Tangsuyuk was non-wheat batter but disappointed that it seemed all precooked and just refried before serving so meat was dry. The store needs to have a clearer signs for order/pay up front at the register. So many people were waiting by the front entrance to figure out what's going on. read more

Amazing Korean-Chinese restaurant in Bellevue. They opened pretty recently so i would recommend going around 20 minutes before opening time to avoid waiting in line at a full restaurant. Ordered the jajang bap (rice) it ended up being the right move. Got a chance to taste both the jajang sauce and the jjampong soup and the sauce was the winner. Definitely on the sweeter side, but not as overwhelmingly saccharine as Modoo. No discernable wok-hei/fire flavor, but sauce played nicely with the shrimp omelette over the side of rice it came with. Jjampong soup was a bit bland, but was glad it wasn't too salty. Pro tip, skip the tangsuyuk and order the chili shrimp and a side of mandoo. I understood the reasoning, but she had also asked prior for my order. Her explanation left me confused so i sheepishly said I understood the policy. She already seemed upset by the time i had gotten there. Sometimes we have off days i get that. This place is clearly hit or miss, I've got friends who absolutely swear by it. Their menu is extensive and has all the Korean food classics including seafood pancake, soondubu (stone pot tofu soup), galbi jjim (beef stew), Toppokki, bibimbap, and cold noodles (spicy and non-spicy versions). Their entrees are around $20 each, but some larger hot pot dishes (meant for 2-3 people) can be up to $70. I ordered the BULGOGI BIBIMBAP (~$24). Unfortunately they don't serve stone pot Bibimbap here, but the portions are large and beautifully presented. My dish came with plenty of fresh vegetables- pickled carrots and cucumbers, sesame bean sprouts, daikon kimchi, lettuce, and marinated black mushrooms (which I've never had in Bibimbap before but was soooo good) on top a bed of fluffy white rice! The egg was cooked perfectly over easy and the meat was marinated well too- I do wish the dish came with more meat though. They give you your typical sweet and spicy gochujang red sauce on the side as well as white vinegar and mustard sauce for added flavor. Service was fantastic and you get complimentary hot tea and ban chan (which are refillable). The ban chan included cucumber kimchi, daikon kimchi, sesame bean sprouts, kimchi, fish cake, and sesame choy. All employees were very friendly and made you feel at home. The inside is clean, but the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is that they have an Okay health rating and not a Good or Excellent health rating. Paik's Noodle is a recent discovery for us, offering Chinese-Korean dishes in Bellevue downtown. It's located in the same mall area as Uwajimaya Bellevue, with plenty of free parking spaces, though it can be crowded due to the downtown location and the popularity of Uwajimaya. Additionally, the individual parking spots are a bit narrow, making parking slightly challenging. The restaurant's decor is simple, and there's usually a line, so expect a bit of a wait. The setup is similar to a mall dining hall where you order at the counter, pay, and then wait at your table for your food to be brought out. The menu features signature Korean dishes often seen in K-dramas, including Jjamppong, Jajangmyeon, and sweet and sour pork. So far, these are the best versions of these dishes I've tried. The portions are generous and the prices reasonable. Both the Jjamppong and Jajangmyeon are filling, so bringing others to share and try different dishes is a good idea. The noodle texture is excellent. The Jjamppong soup isn't overly spicy, making it enjoyable even for those who don't usually like spicy food. However, note that they don't allow adjustments to the spiciness. The Jajangmyeon is outstanding, with the paste perfectly flavored. The downside is the typical lack of meat in the dish, which might be due to the price of around $10. The sweet and sour pork stands out, deep-fried in a special batter that makes it white instead of the usual yellow and not overly crispy, which is a good thing. The pork is a bit thin, but the combination with the sweet and sour sauce is fantastic. One thing to keep in mind is that if you order takeout, the noodle texture might not hold up well. Reheating everything in a pot or pan before eating helps. Overall, Paik's Noodle has become one of our favorite spots for affordable comfort food. I visited this restaurant with a friend on a Wednesday around 7 PM for dinner. There was plenty of parking nearby, which made getting there hassle-free. The restaurant has a simple, efficient setup -- as soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the menu and directed to order at the front. After placing your order, you're given a number and can choose any table to sit at. The staff brings your food to you once it's ready. We ordered the Jajangmyeon, Jjamppong, and sweet and sour pork. The food came out quickly, within 5 to 10 minutes. A helpful tip: if you need to mix the noodles, don't hesitate to ask for tongs or scissors -- the staff is more than happy to assist! My friend, who had never tried these dishes before, really enjoyed the meal -- and so did I. The flavors were bold, the portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh. I was ecstatic when I heard that Paiks Noodle was opening in Bellevue. The Jajangmyeon was absolutely delicious. The noodles were perfectly chewy, and the black bean sauce with onions was flavorful. The Jjamppong didn't disappoint either; it tasted very similar to the one I tried in Korea. The portions were generous, and there was a good amount of seafood included. The Sweet & Sour Pork was amazing. The batter was crispy and flavorful, and the sauce was delightful. However, I wished they provided larger portions. I deducted one star due to the layout of the restaurant. It's confusing that you have to pay before being seated. When the tables are full, it's unclear who arrived first if everyone has already paid. The signage for the waiting and payment process needs improvement. read more

Paik's Noodles in Bellevue continues to be a solid spot for lunch or takeout. I ordered the stir-fried jjamppong and pork tangsuyuk, and both dishes were delicious. The stir-fried jjamppong had great flavor and just the right level of heat - definitely my favorite over the soup version. The pork tangsuyuk was crispy, not too greasy, and the sweet and sour sauce was served on the side. Service was friendly and efficient, and the portions were huge - definitely great value for the price. Parking was easy, which is always a bonus in this area. Overall, a great spot for hearty Korean-Chinese comfort food. I'll be back to try the stir-fried jjajangmyeon. read more

I had an unfortunate experience at this restaurant. I found a fly in my soup, but the owner insisted it wasn't a fly. She quickly squished and discarded it, and her attitude felt dismissive, as if we were being unreasonable. Additionally, the noodles were very soggy, almost like udon that had been left out for too long. When I expressed my concerns, the owner responded by saying that everyone else was enjoying their food and questioned why I felt differently. read more

Solid jajangmyeon place. I've only gone here either really late or really early (4-5pm) and I've had a good experience. It sounds like the when it gets really busy, the service can be lacking -- but I've always had very nice & attentive service here! The workers are very nice. I'm giving this place 5 stars because in comparison to other jajangmyeon places in the Eastside, that's where it lands in my book. I'd definitely recommend! read more
