I've been to the South Bay location a few times, with the drive and the wait time, I was excited to get one in the east bay. There's plenty of parking at this location. We were seated quickly for a weekend dinner. It is quite small, but it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. Food taste a little different here, but maybe over time it'll be as good as the Santa Clara location.

First time trying this shot, I was interested in comparing it to Myeongdong jiajiangmyeon in the pacific pearl plaza. Ordered a sweet and sour pork, jiajiangmyeon, and spicy noodle soup (can't remember the name). The sweet and sour pork was just alright, nothing too special and a good amount of batter compared to pork inside. Jiajiangmyeon was great, noodles were al dente and sauce paired perfectly. My only gripe is that the sweet and sour pork is a bit pricey for what it was

I've been coming here for a while now and it's always been spot on. I only get the regular jjampong. I have tried the chili one and the meat one but I think the regular seafood one is the best. They are very generous with the seafood and it could be spicier (for me everything can be spicier) but it is fairly spicy and the broth is very rich. I always come for lunch usually by myself during a weekday and it is never crowded and the service is excellent. There is only one lady there who is always there during weekday lunches and she will check on how I'm doing about twice during the meal, which is the Goldilocks amount of how much I want to be checked in on. My daughter loves the jjajangmyeon here. I'm not a huge fan of jjajangmyeon but I have tried the spicy seafood mixed one and it is delicious. We have also tried some other dishes and honestly, you can't miss with whatever you order here. So flavorful and textures are perfect and they are generous with their portions. I did read another reviewer mention that the portion size did become smaller with the new ownership and I also noticed that. However the portion size now is still way more than you should eat in one sitting (though I still do and regret it every time). Highly recommend this place.

What an amazing place for noodle soup! If you like tasty noodle soup that's full of goodness, I think you should check this out. We came here on a cold night and the food certainly hit the spot! Husband ordered a beef jjampong while I had the regular seafood jjampong. Both were excellent, full of flavor and filled with lots of soft veggies and seafood/beef, thus not very carby, just the way we like it. It was a feast for the senses and the stomach! I think this is the best Korean food I've ever tasted. And the women who work there are so kind and gentle, I love them!!

I haven't been back in awhile. I noticed the menu has changed to the double sided menu instead of the thick book of menu. We tried the Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings( we asked less spicy and they were able to do it) , meat jajangmyeon and beef jjamppong. The chicken wing was so so. A bit too much sauce for me. And I felt the meat that went with jajangmyeon was a bit dry. I would probably get the regular jajangmyeon next time without the meat like we used to. The beef jjamppong wa prob the best of all we tried this time. Service, not much. We didn't get water refill until we asked. Inside area was clean. Plenty of parking.

We came to try the place after watching culinary class wars and it was good. Super fast service and tasty stuff.

Came here with some friends and shared a few dishes: jajangmyeon, fried dumplings, and kkanpunggi. Overall, everything was decent, but the kkanpunggi definitely stood out as the highlight. I'd absolutely order that again! Prices are reasonable and I'm glad we got to try a variety of dishes!

The food was so good, I've been thinking about getting the stir fried jajangmyeon ever since having it here. Tastes so much better than the regular in my opinion. The cream shrimp was very good too, reminiscent of honey walnut prawns especially with the cream sauce. The shrimp were pretty big too. The service was excellent and my gf and I had a great meal here. Definitely coming back

I'd been to the one in Santa Clara when it first opened about decade ago and wasn't terribly impressed. After watching Culinary Class Wars, my husband wanted to try it so we decided to give the new location closer to us a chance. Rating Breakdown: 1.5/2 Stars for Taste -- Our favorite dish was the fried pork (tangsuyuk). The breading was crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside, almost tasted more like a guobaorou. The dipping sauce has just the right amount of tang and I appreciate that it's served on the side. The jajangmyeon is solid, it comes with a good amount of meat (and peas, I could hear my sister complaining in my head). Not the best I've had but not the worst either. The jjampong came with a generous serving of seafood but lacked the classic wok hei flavor. I would skip this next time. 1/1 Stars for Value -- $11 for a giant bowl of jajangmyeon is a pretty great deal. They give you so much sauce you could easily pay a few dollars for extra noodles and make this a double portion. If you get a noodle dish and an entree to share, you'll probably spend about $20-25 per person. 1/1 Stars for Customer Service -- We came with our twin stroller and the server was kind enough to find us a table with ample room to accommodate it. Our food came out quick and I appreciate that they give you scissors and extra bowls for the noodles without asking. We beat the rush and there was a small line when we finished. The servers were efficient but never made us feel rushed. Bonus star because if I'd come back to the the stir fried jajang and jajang rice next time!

I used to go the one next door Young Dong but this one has different menu even though both are Korean food. I like their stir fried Jajangmyeon, spicy but good. The noodle was chewy and portion was huge enough for two.

So my beautiful wife and I wanted to try this spot, ever since we heard about it on social media. Let's say we were not disappointed! The fast paced restaurant, offers a variety of wonderful dishes, to eat on your own, or share with your table. We ordered 2 bowls of the Jajangmyeon, vegetable fried rice and an order of their sweet and sour pork. I will say the Jajangmyeon was delicious and it really hit the spot! The sweet and sour pork, offered a crunchy but subtle texture when I took my first bite. Definitely tasted better than your typical run of the mill, Chinese counter part. The vegetable fried rice at first I thought was too bland, and needed more flavor, but in the end it was delicious and really surprised me. There are two locations in the Bay Area, Santa Clara and Dublin. I can't wait to visit the South Bay location, to see if it's equally good. Service: 10/10 Food: :10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 (typical Asian restaurant noise) Overall: 20/10

The review is based off of takeout. Although I did takeout, the server was so sweet and offered us waters and chair to sit outside as we waited. The ambience was calm and casual eating. We loved all of the korean chinese food we ordered: Stirfried jjajangmeyon (5/5)-got it less spicy and it was perfect! Jjampong (5/5)-perfect flavoring def my fave Deep fried pork, or tangsuyuk (4/5)-the flavor was amazing, they do have an interesting breading ratio to meat but when you first get it omg the portion size and the crunchy texture is to die for. Would highly recommend!

A couple workout buddies + kids and I went here for dinner on a Friday night, put our name down on the wait list, and waited for around 20 mins. During the wait time, we went nearby to the bakery and got some stuff there. Absolutely love the single pots here so you can enjoy your own flavor soup/broth to drink and to cook the items you choose. We were seated and everything looked so clean. Ordering was done via QR code and the items accumulate on the order page where if multiple people scan the table QR code, whatever each person adds gets added so don't check out until everything in that around is definitely in. The soups and items came by sooooo quickly. I was impressed! They have a make your own sauce combo and we did that between ordering and getting our stuff. I got a singles combo with tom yum soup base. It was a good amount of food. I chose one of the Wagyu, and the side items I chose were tendon, fish, and if I also chose something else, I forgot. It came with a lot of veggies such as greens and mushroom. Guess I mixed and "created" my sauces right cause they went well with the stuff. Cooking the meat was so quick, so pretty much not much wait time to enjoy some food. Others chose some different cuts of beef, some lamb (?), quail eggs, and more. A bit pricey, but the stuff was super fresh and things were really quick so it was worth it to me.

We stumbled upon this small shop in a seemingly sketchy, empty parking lot and honestly wondered if we made a mistake at first. But once we walked in, the place was almost full at 5 PM--mostly with Korean-speaking customers, which is always the ultimate green flag. We were so blown away! This was easily one of the best Korean meals we've had in the Bay Area. It's authentic, salt-of-the-earth home cooking. The Soups: The Seolleongtang and Galbi Gomtang were totally legit. The broths had amazing depth and were incredibly flavorful. Seafood Pancake: One of the absolute best I've ever eaten. Super crispy and crunchy on the outside, and soft and tender with tons of flavorful seafood on the inside. The Banchan: They serve 10 different tasty dishes for banchan! Total score. Portions are large and the pricing is very decent. It's a bit out of the way if you're coming straight from SJ, but we are absolutely keeping this place in mind whenever we're heading up north toward the East Bay! Highly recommend.

We have a lot of Young Dong restaurants in So Cal and they are pretty well known as a go to spot for some good tofu soup.
