This place is so unprofessional...cold pizza was delivered without an apology!! When I called to informed management, I was told that I should have expected the pizza to be cold since it was cold outside! The manager was very rude to me and told me he did not care if I reported him (yet, he refused to give his name). He also refused to give me a refund and bragged he did not have a corporate office for me to report to. I have been ordering from here for years!! I'm not sure if management has changed, but it has completely changed (in terms of professionalism and service)! This was a Great place to eat. You can tell that it is now under new management. The owner came to the table to see if we were enjoying our meal. He told us that over the next few weeks big changes were coming to the interior. New tables, new chairs, new booths, new plate ware, new floor and from what I heard this is going to be the place to eat in Prosper Texas. My calzone was perfect as I was able to tell them the items I wanted in it. It was a big calzone and Sooooo good. The person I ate lunch with ordered a pizza and Wow it looked and tasted fantastic. We recently used Palio's in Prosper to cater an event. The food tasted (and smelled) great! The Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo was the menu item that received extra rave reviews for taste! The new owner, Mr. Bock, was incredibly helpful and responsive in getting the items we needed and providing it all at a fair price. If you haven't been by in a while, be sure to stop in. The food was just ok. We tried the Mozzarella Sticks ( seemed like something they just pulled out of a box and fried up, nothing special about these ), the Cesar Salad ( this is where they get most of their stars, they make the salads fresh as you order them and the flavors are really good and they actually put more green leaf then the white stem part so I'm really happy about that ) and the Meat & Cheese Deluxe Pizza ( the winner of this pizza was the sauce, they also give you a side of the sauce for the mozzarella sticks, so tasty. The toppings were ok, I do enjoy they cut the pizza in squares, gives you more options of which slice you can choose from. The staff is helpful and friendly and they have a nice variety of pizza's to choose from. Nothing stood out as a wow moment so I feel 3 stars is good enough for an average pizza place. We normally have great service, but I guess the adults/manager/owner are out. I only saw teenagers when I drove from Artesia development to pickup our two large pizzas. I should've checked the pizzas before I left, but I didn't. Well, my large gluten free Hawaiian pizza was more than over cooked it was just burnt. I wasn't going to turn around and drive 30+ minutes round trip to get another one. I tried eating some of it and had to throw it away. You know that the person who made this had to see that it was burnt when they put it in the box! I plan on stopping on my way home tomorrow from work to ask for a refund! read more

Upon reading these reviews I decided to finally add mine. My family has come here a few times trying to stay close to home, pizza is descent. The gluten Free option is great. We went last night and ordered a gluten Free pizza. I asked the young girl to ask the kitchen stuff not to cross contaminate because of celiac disease. Needless to say, she didn't. She walked off laughing. All this place cares about is their cell phones. They stay on them from the time you order til the time you leave. They were so busy on them I guess they didn't realize it would be nice to tell the customers, "Bye and have a good evening". This is probably why all of the other businesses around them are busier. The prisoners are running the prison! Are there any adults to hold these employees accountable? As I type, the phone is ringing off the hook while the two girls at the register chat each others head off. Perhaps that's why I was put in endless hold when first attempting to call in my order. The food is ok, but the service is a complete joke!! We get takeout from here quite often. At least once every two weeks sometimes twice in one week. In any event, there always seems to be some issue. Tonight I ordered a medium pizza and two salads. I was told it would take 20 to 30 minutes to prepare my order meanwhile five kids working behind the counter stood around staring at their cell phone's. When finally after 20 minutes, one walked over to the top of the oven, pull down a pizza box, and said here's your order. Apparently my pizza had been done for about seven minutes. We have so few restaurant options in our area, it's very disappointing when those options are subpar. Palios has pretty good food but the service is so hit and miss. read more

Eh, mixed feelings about this place. Although I think it is this particular location that I have issues with because I like Palio's pizza in general - thin crust, offers a wheat crust option and typically tastes good. However, during our last two visits to this particular location the pizza didn't come home hot, in fact not even warm. Boo. During our most recent pick-up we ordered a classic pizza and mozzarella sticks - both stone cold when we picked them up. We were told 25 minutes on the line and arrived within 15/20 minutes. Thankfully we have a pizza stone at home so reheating these types of items is usually fine, but um, we shouldn't have to reheat our freshly picked up order. The McKinney location is a few miles further for us, and our pizza has never been cold when we arrive home. I guess it will be best for us to drive further to ensure we are getting hot take home pizza. 4 stars for the pizza assuming its warm and 2 stars for the Prosper location on the account of the food being cold. read more

We just moved in Celina, literally no furniture, plates, utensils, etc... found out that Papa Johns do not deliver. Since the choice for pizza delivery is Pizza Hut or this place, I figured I'll try them. When I placed the order, I told them we need 6 plates and forks. We ordered Xtra large pizza and Alfredo Pene pasta. We didn't wait long for the food to arrive. When my husband gave me the food, I asked where are the plates, napkins and fork. Call the person delivered and he said he will come back for them but I need to call the restaurant to let them know. Call the restaurant spoke to a girl told her about the situation she asked who I spoke to I told her I don't know shouldn't be on the receipt then she said we don't have any plates and then I asked you don't give forks to people who order pasta she says we do but we are already closed for delivery. Now tell me how the heck are we going to eat the pasta? I guess we will have to eat without fingers. I can't believe a restaurant / cafe do not have any paper plates unbelievable. I was excited to try Palio's as we're still learning about Prosper and I'd been waiting to do a "pizza night" for a while. A nice-looking spot with good decor, there were no other customers (we ate an early dinner), but not one of the full complement of summer-job teens offered to bring a high chair, so I awkwardly tugged one over to the table with one arm while holding my 7-month-old son in my other. A table sat unbussed as we waited for our food. I got the impression that once you ordered at the counter, you were on your own. The prices are good, but in this case you get what you pay for. My buffalo chicken pizza was plunked on my table with a "Here ya go..." by a teen who didn't hang around to see if we needed anything. My wife's mediterranean salad was good and inexpensive. My pizza was the saltiest, most vinegary thing I think I've ever powered through. I could tell there was a good crispy, thin crust somewhere down there, but under the weight of all the ranch and toppings thrown on there, it quickly turned to salty mush. Maybe their other pizzas have better recipes, but I won't be back to find out. As the entire staff lounged at the tables in the dining area, we picked up our things to go. Not a single "Thank you" or "goodnight" as the door closed behind us. If you are a student on summer break looking to get paid for hanging out, Palio's is the gig for you. read more

More often than not, they always mess up, even after emphasizing the triangle cut preference. They always apologize and offer a new immediately, but I don't like to wait again, so I eat it. They do delivery, but they never get the cut right, so I stopped ordering delivery. read more
