Take out pepperoni calzone was the best I've had in a long, long time. Delicious crust glistening with oil to prevent dryness, undercarriage slightly blackened....absolutely terrific. Pepperoni and cheeses perfectly proportioned. Garlic knots unexpectedly included with our Caesar salad. A great value. Will definitely come back!

Just moved back to the area and after trying Pizza Pub and seeing their MASSIVE dinner plates, we decided to head to Palmieri's after seeing they had great reviews and expecting the same results I wish I had known they had changed ownership because boy was it known when I paid $4 for "momma's meatballs" to be added into my penne dish, to get home and open it up to see...4 total meatballs that definitely look to be pre frozen and way too small to be charging a dollar per meatball. I would've just gotten the pasta instead of being overcharged for a meatball that was falsely advertised as "homemade" The lasagna is decent size, have definitely seen bigger given at other restaurants The fried Mozzarella sticks that we paid 7+ for were 5 clearly pre frozen sticks, would not order again. I asked for a Caesar salad as my dinner "side" salad and was told they couldn't meet my preferences, wasn't even allowed to pay extra for it despite having a Caesar salad on the menu for the same price as a house salad. I said that's okay and asked for blue cheese for one salad, and Caesar dressing for the other, opened the salads, two balsamic dressings. No need to even eat the salad dry now. So in recap, this place must really only focus on the pizza (I hope). The penne was good but sauce was light, the lasagna was good but could've been bigger, the meatballs are a total rip off and selling the same mozzarella sticks as Burger King is embarrassing. I gave them a 3 when it easily could've and should've been a two. Don't come here unless you want pizza(I think). Pretty disappointed for a place with such wild high reviews. Guess they were all for the old owner.

After a friends kids lacrosse game we decided to go out for pizza. The first place we went had not updated their hours on Yelp. So we found the next closest place which brought us here. Pretty little terrace outside but as we had just come from the game we opted for indoors. We decided on 2 pizzas 2 apps for 4 people. The garlic knots were crusty outside and nice and soft inside. The mozz were mozz sticks nothing special. The 2 pizzas were the margarita pizza and the pizza Bianca. Loved the Bianca absolutely excellent. The margarita was confusing I've never heard of a margarita pizza with parm cheese on it. Little saucy for my taste but otherwise very tasty. If I'm back in the area I would return.

Very disappointed. We have ordered delivery from them and dined in and were very happy. Went for pick up the other night. The cashier and cook were not wearing face masks. When I asked if our order was prepared with a facemask on and the response was no. If they are disregarding safety protocols in a pandemic, I am concerned what other safe food protocols they disregard altogether. Very sad. Like to support small and local. Will not return and will be telling all of our friends. Too much a risk for public health. read more

Ordering on-line was great. Delivery arrived exactly at the time stated. Driver was nice. Crust was good. Toppings left a lot to be desired. Buffalo chicken was .... ok. Margarita pizza was dry and lacked any toppings/flavor (a little garlic, basil, and mozzarella). With the leftovers we added olive oil, tomato slices, fresh mozzarella, and spices and baked a little longer. Then it was good. I would like to order from here again but not sure read more

I came here for a friends 18th birthday a few days ago. We explained to the owner how we had come down to the shore for her birthday and just would like a small cheese pizza. The pizza came quickly and was AMAZING. The sauce is unbeatable. To top it off, the owner gave us 3 free cannolis for the birthday girl. He was very kind and if I lived closer this would be my new go-to pizza place. read more

One of our worst restaurant experiences in memory today. Came in on a Sunday afternoon at 2 PM. Seated ourselves and eventually received menus. They were not busy. After 15 minutes I went up to the counter and asked if we ordered up there, and the waitress said she would come to our table. Five minutes later she did and we ordered. After another 20 minutes she brought our drinks and my wife's soup, but no salads. After waiting another 20 minutes and no sign of food or salads, I decided to go to the counter and asked to pay for the soup and drinks and told the manager (?) to forget about the food, we had been there more than an hour. He charged me for the drinks and soup, and offered no explanation or apology. They are either understaffed or inept, maybe both. Will never return. read more

Quickly became a regular here. The food is great. And unlike other pizza places in town the ownership is extremely friendly. The Chicken Parm Pizza is a must have. Great idea by ownership to give samples to everyone who walks in! The sesame seed grinder rolls are great! read more

The pizza here is generic NY style meaning the sauce has no flavor, the crust has no character and is underdone and they don't put Romano on the top. It gets the job done (I guess?) but why would you even consider this place when Grand Apizza is 2 minutes away and a highly superior New Haven style joint. A big fat meh to this place. read more

Ordered delivery. Took forever. Received wrong order. Driver was reluctant to give change. I could have drove to the grocery store, bought a frozen pizza, drove home, cooked it, and ate it in the same time...and it would have been cheaper and better-tasting. I used to be a chef, and heads would have rolled if my guys had ever done anything like this. read more

A great pizza place in Connecticut. The gentleman working was friendly and personable. We got a margarita style pizza and a mushroom. Sauce was tasty. Both pies were cooked perfectly and nice and thin like I like it. Give it a try if you are in town. read more

Hands down the best pizza on the shoreline. It is absolutely NY style (suck a rock Tom M.) The crust is thin and the sauce is tasty. They have chicken rolls, and if you don't know what that is, it's because you have never been to a pizza joint in NY; and their grinders are served on sesame seed rolls. Amazing. read more

SALTY. We got the Greek salad and spinach soup, and were dying from the salt. Cheese slice was salty too. Service was ok, they forgot to bring us a veggie slice, but charged us anyway. Not impressed. read more

Called to see if they would deliver, and the man who answered was very rude and insisted that he couldn't deliver to us, because we were too far. We live less than 5 minutes away. I've yet to try their pizza, and after that conversation, I'm not sure I want to. read more

So, I went to Palmieris today, hadn't been in a while, wasn't happy with the quality of our food and they had screwed up a few orders, but I wanted a fresh made salad for lunch and they were nearby so I thought I'd give them another chance. Ordered a Cobb salad, got a big container of romaine with 1/2 a sliced tomato, green olives, black olives, roasted red peppers, jalapeños and a dry grilled chicken breast, very disappointed. If you don't know what ingredients go in a menu item, then maybe it shouldn't be on the menu. Not to mention that I was the only order and it took over 25 minutes to get my salad, but then, the cook was a little busy with his phone call. read more

Our first, but definitely not our last visit to Palmieri's in Clinton, CT. Greeting & service were perfect for a Saturday afternoon and the pizza was the best in CT! Atmosphere is casual dining in a renovated train station. It's small, but Palmieri's is big on flavor offering pizza; salads, grinders, and other Italian dishes. The couple next to us ordered salads. They were topped with plenty of chicken and nice size too. Delicious lunch and cozy atmosphere. Oh, don't forget to get your cannoli, you won't be sorry. read more

As good as it gets when you want non-greasy, great-tasting pizza with great customer service. Buffalo chicken is definitely a must-try. Their grinders are really good as well. Cannoli's look good, but I have yet to try one (it's on the order list for the next visit) I like New Haven style pizza, but often want something a little different, and this place is it! read more

Finally, somewhere to get great pizza on the shoreline! I moved to Clinton from East Haven a year ago and have had a terrible time finding good pizza close by. While there are a couple decent places, I hadn't found that one restaurant to call "my pizza place". Not until this past Wednesday. As soon as I opened the box, I knew I had found my spot. I ordered a large mozz well done and it was cooked perfectly. Crust was slightly blackened and super crispy, just how I like it. Sauce was slightly sweet and fresh tasting, perfect! Just the right amount of cheese. As simple as a "plain mozz" pizza sounds, it's amazing how many restaurants screw it up. I can't count how many times I've ordered a plain pie well done and ended up with a greasy, soggy, "Ragu" tasting piece of garbage. Thank you to Palmieri's for making me such a great pizza. My family and I order out for pizza every Wednesday and we can't wait for the next! I am a big fan of meatball and ricotta and look forward to seeing how they fare with my order this coming Wednesday! read more

This place is horrible!!! Ordered a large pizza and asked for it well done. Received a lopsided, small pizza that was burned on the bottom and raw in the middle. The staff was also really unprofessional and talking about things that I really could have done without hearing. I would attribute it to age but they were all old enough to know what was a work appropriate conversation and what isn't. They are also over-priced for the quality and quantity. There are many better pizza places in the area. read more

Over the past few years, the service has steadily declined. The food was still good enough that I overlooked it and kept returning. Eventually, the consistently clueless service pushed us to switch to takeout instead. Tonight, sadly, I realized the Chow I once knew is simply gone. The pizza was a perfect example of cost cutting at the customer's expense. It cost more, had noticeably fewer quality ingredients, and was almost completely lacking the flavor that made it special in the first place. I'll choose to look at this as a positive. Connecticut's shoreline has no shortage of excellent restaurants, and this gives me a reason to explore more of them. The successful restaurants today understand that repeat customers come from the combination of attentive service, great food, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. Unfortunately, Chow lost their way and seems to have forgotten that.

That's not how customers should be treated for asking a reasonable question based on how the menu is written. If pasta dishes are excluded from the side option, then the menu should clearly state that instead of insulting customers for interpreting it exactly how it's written.

There were at least 10 different and creative pies that kept coming out nonstop, leaving our guests amazed & fully satisfied. I can't tell you which was the favorite, they were all so good. The finishing touch was a delicious tiramisu Max made. We had more than enough food to send some home and still have enough for our family. I highly recommend Frank Andrews Mobile Kitchen. Inconsistent I don't want to say that but it is true Then if you complain they owe you a pizza??? Umm fix the issue and stop offering food when a dinner wasn't had and last thing we want us more in the future?? Hope they continue to do well and focus on quality and not tons of locations! read more
