Menu selection is pretty underwhelming. Service was great but where they fell short was the actual food. When we asked for plain queso, they were confused... came out with consistency of water. Beef Fajitas were rubbery but big portion. The green chicken enchiladas were just ok. Not a fan of the "family style" rice and beans, not enough for 3 people. Came in with a group of 7, was quoted an hour to an hour and a half when we came in, which we expected. Ended up waiting 2.5 hours. Finally get seated and our server was incredibly rude to us. Did not introduce himself to us, did not ask our drink orders and took well over 15 minutes to come to our table. Food was fine, no problems there. When it came time to pay we gave our server $160 in cash and a card for the remainder. He only applied $120 cash to the bill then when we asked him about it he told us we only gave him 120. He pulled the cash back out and there was in fact $160 that we gave him. I asked him to fix the amount to be charged to the card and he asked how was he supposed to fix it incredibly rudely. I had high hopes...the space was grimy and unappealing. We were seated on time for our reservation and the staff we met happened to be very friendly. Once seated our table was dirty and so were the utensils. We asked for plastic utensils and one of the packets had mold inside. The food was not impressive for the price. My friends said the drinks were just as unimpressive. We picked this restaurant because it is on Tik Tok and looked like a nice dinner spot. For the money we could've had a more impressive dinner at on the border. We went on a Tuesday night, not a weekend. Review for 3/16/2022 First of all, the location is in a fantastic area along the Marine Creek in the stockyards. The outdoor patio seating looks really nice and I'd imagine it's even more beautiful at night. The décor and restaurant itself is spectacularly designed--I love the hanging colorful waves of strings from the ceiling. The space is very open. This is probably the only place I've been to where I've enjoyed getting the "chair" seat in a half-booth-half-chair table. They were leather chairs... aesthetically pleasing and extremely comfortable. We had a reservation at 5pm and were told to wait a few more minutes as we arrived a bit early. Not a problem for us, so we sat on the outside near the entrance door. During the wait my mom went in to check on the table, still not ready, though by that time it was after 5pm. So finally after about 10 more minutes (and watching the hostess seat other tables) I walk inside and was greeted by her and what seemed to be a manager asking me how I was/how they could help. I mentioned that we've been waiting for our reservation but really needed to use the restroom. They all looked very confused and the manager pointed out the restroom for me. (I'm thinking she forgot? Not sure what happened but she seemed flustered or extremely bored the entirety of her shift.) Needless to say we were sat immediately in that moment and fortunately this was the only mishap during our visit. Our server Erica? (I'm sorry I'm so bad at remembering names, so I hope this is correct!) was training another server. She had such a personality and was very informative and helpful. Service was a (tad) bit slow but 1. she was training and from what I could hear, doing a good job of it and 2. everything seemed to fill up pretty quickly once we were sat I started off with her recommendation, the Watermelon Ranch Water which was refreshing and delicious. My mom really wanted to try the bacon wrapped jalapenos (not really my thing) but I tried one and it was pretty tasty--their house-made ranch was very good. We got the house queso and despite them lighting a candle underneath, it did still get cold and hard pretty fast. But that was to be expected so we ate it quickly regardless. The chips and salsa were probably my absolute favorite part haha The chips were perfectly thin and crispy and not oily or over salted whatsoever. The salsa tasted fresh and had so much flavor. For my entrée I ordered the beef enchiladas. Presentation was stunning and though filling, it didn't feel gross/bloating filling. Flavors were on point and I was extremely happy with my decision. Dessert consisted of the Mexican cookies with chocolate ganache (essentially an ice cream sandwich without everything melting all over your fingers). OMG insanely delicious!! Interesting concept and at first I was hesitant because I'm not a huge sweets person so the ganache didn't seem appealing at first. They looked so cute and tasted even better. I've read so many bad reviews specifically towards the food and I can't say my experience was anything like that. We came on a Wednesday at 5 so I think that helped. They have now been open for a few weeks so hopefully that is a testament towards progress and getting adjusted on their feet. People don't ever understand that a brand new restaurant comes with immediate challenges as the staff both individually and as a whole are still learning to become a well-oiled machine TOGETHER even if they've had previous experience. I've been in the restaurant industry for about 5 years now so maybe I'm just more understanding than the average person when it comes to that. Doesn't excuse things that should *definitely* be fixed, but also doesn't imply absolute perfection. I highly recommend and will absolutely return! read more

I've seen mixed reviews, but absolutely loved this place! The ambiance was appealing, and the food/drinks were amazing. We sat outdoors right by the river and Second Rodeo Brewing Co. Stopped by Paloma for dinner after a locals recommendation for their margaritas and queso. We all loved the white queso with fun additions! The kids got a chicken quesadilla and cheese, beef and chili con carne enchiladas. Spouse and I had the rib taco and goat taco. All delicious!! And would definitely recommend!! Was in a bit of a hurry to make the Bowl Game so did not try desserts. If you are at the Stockade stop by. This was such a let down. We arrived early with no reservation and were told we could sit on the patio. Once we were able to get seats, our drink order was taken and we order some appetizers. 45 minutes later still no food, drink, or even waters. They were definitely overbooked but there were several employees just walking around. We ended up walking out and leaving because after an hour we still had no drinks or appetizers.
