Tucked in a Culver City convenience mall, Pampas Grill serves up primarily Brazilian food, making its Argentinian name somewhat of a mystery. They charge by weight, and if you're not careful you'll run up your tab with inexpensive (and heavy) stuff from the sides bar. Go easy and stick to the grilled meats, which are pretty good, even if there's no chimichurri in sight. The dining room is airy, there are tables outside, and there's even a nice, dimly lit bar area, as well. They have a full bar so there are plenty of drink options. Food quality overall is pretty good, and prices are reasonable. Only thing I didn't like is I went back for another glass of wine for me and some water for my g/f and got charged $1.95(wtf???) for the glass of water! I only noticed when I got back to my table, but be forewarned. I probably should've gone back to get a refund but just left it alone. This is a good choice for a mid-week dinner or even "date night", but nothing spectacular. The picanha and lamb are the better choices, and make sure you ask for medium-rare, or you may get overdone tips and ends. read more

In the era of this on and off Covid concern. We graced your highly favorable Culver City buffet for a celebratory Birthday lunch on April 18, 2024. As my friend & I were enjoying our delicious meal. We noticed a number of customers NOT using the highly visible & readily available gloves. I observed person after person come and go straight for the plates to serve themselves. One even picked up a plate and put the plate back. At that point, I requested to speak with the manager, only to be riddled with a pleather of excuses. To be quite honest, I did not feel I was being heard, listened to nor was my concerns being taken seriously. Omgggg !! The cheese bread was the best thing on the menu !! Everything was good. The fried platanos were sweet and delicious. Came during the week around 5pm and it was lonely inside. The food here was great! It was my first time here so they had to tell me how it worked. It's buffet style so you can get as much as you want and then they weigh your plate at the end. The weight determines the price of your meal. It's a nice place to go if you want a quick and quality meal! I had a variety of things but the stand outs were the garlic chicken and the rice and black beans. The plantains were also very good. I would definitely come back here! read more

I went to Bossa Nova last night on Pico, and it was awful. The food tasted wierd. My husband said the plantains tasted like they were in a bag for months in the freezer. We needed a corrective experience. So I went ahead and went to pampas grill and got some stuff for us. And my husband said, the plantains are amazing. The cheese bread was hard, so didn't get those. But everything else was great. I went to bossinova because, I just wanted to go somewhere, grab it and go. I didn't want to get in line, but there was no line at Pampa's tonight. Moving forward, it's worth the line. Yeah, that bossa nova was so disappointing. I used to go to the one in West Hollywood. I used to work on sunset near doheny road, and then I'd go to that Bossa Nova off SanMo across from the Abbey and it was amazing back then. I don't know what happened. So gross now. read more

Pay by weight Brazilian "steakhouse" inside the grove. I ended up paying $14 for my meal which is a good price I feel. The meat was super tasty when it was hot and fresh and they had a good selection of sides too. The workers were friendly. The only reason I came is because last time I was at the Grove I saw a huge line for this place so figured it must be good. I agree with the crowd! I'd be back if I'm ever near the Grove. read more

We eat here several times a month. Service is always impeccable, food is fresh, meats are amazing. Fogo De Chao may offer a more well rounded experience but Pampas meats are much better. It's time for an update as I've been a frequent customer of theirs. Heck, it appears I'm the Yelp Duke at Pampas now. All right so I still don't like the grill because of either spices or salt , or whatever it was that I complained in my original review below about. Total fan of their salad bar though. That's what I come here for. Get some Caesar, mashed potatoes, some of that chicken stroganoff with cheese biscuits. Love it. During Covid the restaurant also updated their patio so now it's extremely pleasant to sit out. Will come back again . read more

I was feeling some hefty protein because I was going out this night. My friends took me to Pampas Grill for the very first time and I couldn't believe I've never tried it! Not only was the food filling, but the meat choices, cuts, sides, drinks, and experience was great! As soon as you enter, you put in plastic gloves for safety reasons. Then you slide down the options picking your choice of salad, veggies, pastas, and sides. I'd definitely recommend the pico de gallo, onions, and cheesy bread. When you get in front of the grill, you just tell them the cuts you want and how many slices- don't forget the pineapple!! Lastly you pick your beverage (which they have wine!!!) and weigh the plate. For 3 girls, our dish came out to $90ish, but we also ordered 2 glasses of wine and a Coke Zero. We've been going to the Pampas Grill at the Original Farmer's Market for 20+ years and we wanted to try this location. Have to say I was extremely disappointed in the taste and quality of the meat. It was dry and tons of fat! I had 3 thin slices of meat and about 1/3 of it was inedible fat!!! The meat was dry, not juicy and flavorful like what I've tasted at the other location. There were more salad bar options, at this location, but the quality wasn't the same. Cute bar area and lots of seating both inside and on the covered patio. Easy free parking. Some bonuses, but I'll stick with the Farmer's Market location. However, the waitstaff were super helpful and one dropped what he was doing to clean a table off for us to sit. Get the picanha cut, and the tri-tip was delicious. The plantains/maduros were DIVINE. My boyfriend has been going here since 2018 and we're both glad that the quality has not gone down at all. Our meal totaled $46 for 3 people and which is such a good deal for the amount of food we got! read more

My sister and I were at the Grove and saw the line for this establishment and after finished shopping decided to visit the one in Culver City. The food is very good borderline phenomenal. Full of herbs and spices making flavorful, the black beans especially are amazing and the outer cuts of the meats are seasoned and cooked to perfection. We enjoyed our meal here, I highly recommend having a meal here. The staff was so nice and we spoke about the grilling process, life in Brazil, the feijoada and how packed both restaurants get. Again the food here is very delicious. They have a salad bar with roasted beets and other freshly made salads and ingredients that are replaced regularly so if your plant based you can come here as well and mingle with your pals. read more

This place has an amazing buffet. Whenever I get the sirloin cap well done, it is the best well done steak that I have ever had! The thing I like about all of the Brazilian restaurants on Venice, between Sepulveda and Overland, is that they make food that is equally digestible and delicious. The best example of that is Pampas. They have black beans, corn, and salad items, to compliment the best Brazilian BBQ meat that I have ever had. I also love their shaved pineapple with the cinnamon on it, not too much sugar, but just a little bit. They also have diet hibiscus sodas, which provide a nice unique sweet fruity carbonated alternative, to Hibiscus tea. As far as ambiance is concerned, it's usually packed. However, the service moves quick, because it's buffet style. They always have ESPN on, and once in a while they have live music on the weekends. Their artwork shows the cowboy and farm culture in Brazil too. read more

What a cool concept! It's a Brazilian restaurant without the all you can eat part. It's a buffet and you choose the meats you want then someone weighs it and you pay for how much food you get. I got a lot of salad so my plate wasn't as heavy as my husband's because he got rice! There are cups of water they give or you can purchase sodas and beers. I wish I would've gotten more meat after having some of their steaks. You choose how well you want it as well. It was a cool experience. read more

Pay by the pound Brazilian BBQ. Fresh meats, delicious hot food bar and salads. Casual atmosphere, not a fancy place which is perfect. The picanha and spicy chicken were highlights for me. Price is fair, for two our bill was about $50. Would definitely come back! +5/5 read more

This place never disappoints! I have been coming for years and you can always rely on the food being fresh and tasty. It my husband and I's go to when we want a good, fast dinner. I highly recommend the beef stew, spicy chicken and trip-tip, they are all so juicy and flavorful! Don't let the long line fool you - it goes pretty fast. They have one of the best picanhas in California, they know what they are doing there, their feijoada is great and their rice is good, they have collard greens also that is very good, the dessert is not great though, I've tried different ones and i didn't like them. Food looks so delicious, beware of your selections because not all dishes are cooked properly or made fresh daily. Of course, it is easy to tell after you have already paid or when you take it "to go" and it just doesn't taste right. A beef stew that gets reheated a few times gets saltier and saltier. Cassava root if not cooked properly it can really make you sick...unfortunately, if you wish to call them and complain the phone doesn't get answered so bottom line it is a lose, lose situation and you are out $29.00 and change for mediocre food. read more

Pampas Grill is a cafeteria style Brazillian BBQ spot in the Culver Center plaza. In comparison to many high-end Brazillian BBQ spots, what makes Pampas stand out is how much more affordable it is as you're charged for the weight of the food you get. Parking isn't too bad as it's in a plaza, and wait time can give an extra 10 minutes of waiting before paying for your order. It's a nice, casual area to eat, having glass walls to bring in the natural light from outside, and a tented outside eating area as well. As with all unlimited type food, I always aim to maximize the meat that I can eat and not get too distracted by the sides, but they're sides are great. Usually I aim for some Cesar Salad, Garlic Rice, Cord, and - my favorite - cheesebread. The main course for me is the Picanha, which I usually get 4 slices of medium-rare/medium. The meat flavor, with parts of the juicy fat on the edges, and the light salt is something I can't get anywhere else at this place, and is why I go to Pampas. Overall, 9.5/10. The ability to portion how much food you want on any given visit, the quality of food, and the cost of it all is why Pampas is one of my favorite spots in West LA. read more

I really like how flavorful and delicious the food is and how it can accommodate a wide range of dietary needs/restrictions. I opted to skip the meet and still had a really flavorful and satisfying meal filled with salads, veggies, delicious black beans, and rice. At the same time, this place would also be great if you were doing paleo or keto given the huge selections of meats and the veggie options as well. The service wasn't exactly friendly at the checkout or particularly helpful but I would definitely be back for the food. read more

Walked by this place before going to the gym and naturally had to go after, duh. My bf has also heard good things about this spot from his patients and they were all true! Pampa's is setup 'cafeteria' style and you get to serve your own food from their display. The line at Friday 6pm was somewhat long, but it definitely got longer at 7PM (was outside the door!) so come early. You get to grab sides first - although I'll say its best to get a reasonable amount of sides to save room for the meat, Pampa's sides are definitely worth getting/trying. The mashed potatoes, chicken stew, tomatoes with balsamic sauce, & broccoli in cream are my favorites. For the meats - you tell the staff what type you want and how many slices. I got the tri tip, top sirloin, garlic beef, and chicken with bacon. I LOVED all of them. They all had a nice charr to them, you can really taste the smoke from the grill, and they were all perfectly tasty. I would recommend getting an 'inner' slice of the meat, I got some ends and it wasn't as good as the inner slices I got. Our two plates ended up being just below $70, which is a reasonable price for all the food that you get. I love that you can customize how much food you want and the self-serve style is appealing! There is a nice selection of food and drinks for different tastes. The food is nice, just a tad over-salted. The biggest issue for coming to this place is the wait. This past Sunday at around 4pm, it took more than an hour to get through the line, sit down and start eating. It's really a test of patience, and I wondered many times while in line if it was worth it waiting this long. read more

I will say the AYCE option is worth it to try the variety of flavors of pizza they have but you can get full fast. I definitely recommend coming with a bigger party to make it more worth it. You can order 4 flavors at a time served on two pizzas. We didn't realize till we were almost done with our meal that you can ask for smaller sizes of pizza so take advantage! The staff was super friendly and even tried to cut each flavor into 5 slices so that our group could all get a slice. The first round took some time to get to the table, but they have a good system of asking you what you want for your next round so we never had to wait long for pizza. The restaurant is located in the "Brazilian Mall" building with seating in the main courtyard area. Yes the tables and environment are a little rundown, but the experience was fun and worth the try. Bathrooms were clean. Small parking lot available in the back is a plus!

For our appetizer, we ordered the Burrata & Fig (I forgot to take a picture!). It was the perfect size for two people to share and was beautifully presented on a wooden board with fresh bread, arugula, creamy burrata, and a delicious fig spread. Every bite was fantastic. For our entrées, I ordered the pepperoni pizza and added extra pepperoni and extra cheese since I'm a huge fan of both. My husband had the Al Pesto with chicken. Both dishes were exceptional and packed with flavor. You can tell they use quality ingredients, and everything tasted fresh. The portions were very generous, we couldn't finish our meals and happily took the leftovers home. Of course, we couldn't leave without trying dessert! I ordered the Chocolate Grande Cake, and my husband got the Chocolate Carrot Cake. Even though we were stuffed, we took them to go, and I'm so glad we did. They were incredibly rich, moist, and delicious. We were definitely in chocolate heaven! Our bill came to about $120 before tip, which included the appetizer, two entrées, and two desserts. Considering the generous portions, excellent service, and overall quality of the food, I thought it was well worth it. That changed my mind, and I ordered the Grilled Chicken on Fire (Cajun) instead. This is a big plus for the Muslim community in the area. It's not always easy to find restaurants with certified halal options, so I really appreciate that Bossa Nova offers them. Everything was delicious. The Cajun seasoned chicken was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The sweet potato fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The plantains were fried perfectly, with just the right amount of sweetness, and the roasted vegetables complemented everything nicely. I also ordered a Guaraná Zero, which added a nice touch to the meal and is something you don't find at many places. I really enjoyed the atmosphere too. They had the FIFA World Cup playing on the TVs, so it was fun to watch the matches while having dinner with friends. Overall, this was a fantastic experience. Great food, excellent service, halal options, and a fun atmosphere. I will definitely be back.

I would have to agree with the rest of the Yelpers on this one and rate this place 3.5 stars. The food here is pretty good. All of the sides are buffet style. The choices are grand. They have salad, rice, beans, pasta, stews, fish, and many more options. Once you get to the end where you have to pay, that is where you can select what type of meat you want. I went with the top sirloin today. The meat was tender and flavorful, but was a tad bit salty to my taste. I had rice and beans on the side, with a salad and some of the stew. Getting a meal of this caliber with about the same wait as a fast food place is pretty awesome. The service here is awesome, since most of it is self serve ;) The ambiance is pretty casual, and this place has plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. No hassle parking. Bem-Vindo is the first thing you see as you push through the doors into Churrasca heaven. No worrying about portion size, no annoying waiters; just you, a plate, and a scale. Coming in after hard training in the dojo, all i can think about is loading up on rice, beans and chicken strogonoff and plaintains. i threw some yucca powder on the plate to welcome the meat. Loved it! I have been wanting to try Pampas for ages and for some reason I always ended up somewhere else, I am regretting not trying Pampas sooner. Their salad bar was great, the salads were nice and cold, there was a huge variety of vegetables, pastas and stroganoff. The breads were "good" but needed to be hotter especially the Pão de queijo, if there was one area of improvement it would be making the bread hotter. When it came to the meats, they were awesome, the Sirloin Tips were cooked perfectly, the flavor was excellent, I also had the lamb, that too was excellent. The staff could have been a little more attentive with water refills, it would be great if they had separate bowls for salads so you didn't have to put everything on one plate. My Girlfriend and I happened by here the other night and decided to go in. Buffet style. cool not a huge selection but it all looked fresh. Huge Plate! The weigh everything here for the price. So i got the Garlic Rice put some black beans on top, mashed potatoes, cheese bread. Cream Broccoli and the top Sirloin. WOW. Lots of great Flavor going on! The Top sirloin was Perfect. I LOVE THIS SPOT. I go here every Sunday! Brunch specials here are great. I get the brisket egg sandwich and it is phenomenal!!!!!!! My kids love their chicken tenders and fries! They also have amazing homemade lemonade!!! You have to try that! Their loaded tator tots are outta this world!!!! They definitely can be shared by 3-4 people if you are ordering meals. Bone-in wings are delicious as well. The staff here is always extremely friendly and polite, food comes out really quick as well. If you like a quick meal with no complications then try this restaurant. The restaurant is is a buffet without the old and decrepit food. They have people that attend to each dish almost every five minutes. Furthermore, they also have thousands of employees so you don't really have customers mistreating the dishes (they watch them with a hawks eye). My favorite is the spicy chicken and the garlic beef. I get full, as much as when I go to a rodizio, churrasqueria, the only difference is that I pay less here. so what if I don't get extra rounds. here I pick what I want, as much of delicious meals and side dishes. Each time I have finished my meal at pampas grill, I feel so full and happy. My friend brought me here because she knows I love Brazilian food. Maybe she doesn't like me as much as I thought. Pampas Grill may be cheap pay-by-the-pound food, but why would you want to eat it. The meats were extremely dry, light on flavor, or undercooked. Comparing this to Fogo de Chao is like comparing Souplantation to Ruth Chris Steakhouse. Pampas Grill is over-rated. I love the spicy chicken and the garlic chicken that they serve at this place. I go about twice a week between three and six during the day because they have this special where they take 15% off your meal if you buy something during these hours. I like to try a restaurant two or three times before rating it. The buffet selection is great but not too ethnic in my opinion...and I tried two different types of meat, the tri cut and the sirloin cap, one was under cooked while the other was completely dry. Within an hour of eating, both of us were vomiting and doubled over with stomach cramps. We had to visit urgent care for food poisoning. I called to report it to the manager, and the response was "Everyone's taste is different." No apology, no refund, just a defensive speech about how fresh and clean their kitchen supposedly is. Two people getting sick from the same dish isn't a "taste" issue, it's a food safety issue. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you want to pay $40 for poor-quality food and get food poisoned, without even an apology or gesture from the restaurant.

I understand this isn't a fine dining establishment but common courtesy would call for filled water throughout the meal. I enjoyed the spring rolls as an appetizer, the sweet chili sauce is always a staple and served savory. The Teriyaki Beef bowl was insanely portioned, very generous but I absolutely took leftovers. The meat however did not seem to have much flavor alone? I opted to adding an unnecessary amount of soy sauce to complete the dish. I cannot add details to speak on the other food photos but I can say they were plated nicely.

Had lunch at Versailles for the first time in a long time. I can honestly say I don't know if I have ever gotten anything different. The #6 garlic chicken substitute fries for the plantains. We started with bread. Not as good as I remember but it's there when you're waiting and if you have extra garlic sauce when you're done you've got something to dip and that's always a treat. The chicken for lunch is filling. The garlic flavor still good and strong. And I can say there's nothing like the plantains at this place. Just the best perfect sweet treat during the meal. I don't know when I'll be back but it won't be another ten years.

We went for the Snake River Farms (SRF) American Wagyu Kobe Rib-eye and were blown away by how rich and melt-in-your-mouth... still dreaming about those decadent bites. Wagyu is meant to be enjoyed in small bites, given how rich it is. The 8oz cut-up Wagyu was perfect for share for 2! The quality of the meat was excellent, (I ordered Angus Beef Rib-eye, and pork belly) and as a Korean, I was especially impressed by the kimchi and side dishes. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and homemade. The biggest surprise was the ssamjang. It reminded me of the kind my mom used to make back in Korea. It was so good that I even took some leftover home with me. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. By the end of the meal, I found myself wishing this place were closer If I'm ever back in Marina del Rey, I'll definitely be coming back.
