The quality has certainly dropped since it opened its door more than 10 years ago. We are long time patrons, and we used to dine at Pan Acean regularly about 2-3 times a month. However, the quality has gone from great to poor over time, likely due to multiple changes in ownership. We ate there one year ago and vowed not to visit again due to poor food quality but made a mistake of going again recently (Feb'22) due to nearby convenience. The food ingredients are full of cheaper substitutes, the flavors are way off, and all the dishes are drowned in salt so you can't taste anything other than salt. read more

I've been here a total of at least five times. I normally get the chicken pad thai. It's normally salty but it was overly salty this time and was also sweet. They are closer than Too Thai Street Eats in Carrollton so I wanted to give them another try. I got a chicken fried rice and it was okay. We will continue to go to Too Thai Street Eats. I ate here for the first time today while meeting with a previous boss/friend. The restaurant is extremely clean and the interior is very nice. It's on the corner of MacArthur and Belt Line in Coppell. It was not busy at all at Noon on a Saturday but during my visit I noticed several patrons stopping in to pick up to go orders. I got the vegetable shredded tofu Moo Shu. It same with some crepes and a side of hoisin sauce. My entree was big enough to share (all entrees are huge ), and the food was fresh and delicious! I brought leftovers home. My friend got the coconut curry noodle bowl (spicy). This venue is one of her favs so she lives to eat here and got her favorite. The noodle bowl was enormous! Pan Acean already had two strikes against it: Not only is it located in Valley Ranch, the land of notoriously bad restaurants, but it also sits inside the restaurant black hole that is the northwest corner of MacArthur and Beltline, a location that seems to suck the life out of any establishment that sets up there. Needless to say, I went with very low expectations. I was pleasantly surprised. COCONUT CURRY NOODLE SOUP: 4 stars. I love big noodle bowls! And this one did not disappoint. It was big, and there were a lot of noddles. Also, the broth was delicious. My only real criticism is that the pineapple used was obviously canned, but it's not really pineapple season anyway, so I'll let it slide. GENERAL TSO'S CHICKEN: 4 stars. Solid. Tender chicken. No gristle or gross parts. Delicious sauce. FRIED VEGETABLE DUMPLINGS: 3 stars. Good but not great. BONUS POINTS: Pan Acean is really somewhere between 3 and 4 stars, but I'm going to bump them up for a few reasons. They offer the option of brown rice instead of white. Awesome! Also, I usually don't care about atmo, but this place is pretty cool. Very relaxing. Ordered the cashew chicken (#40) with a side of fried rice...can we just say that I could have done a better job at home in the kitchen with the fried rice, or shall I call it white rice with egg and a couple dabs of soy sauce. Can you say huge portions and huge flavor? This is what you will gat at the PA! To top it all off, the service is excellent as well. Thanks to Juan and Juvencio, and their old school approach to service. The udon noodles with beef was absolutely incredible. My wife had the Pad Thai noodles and from what I sampled from her dish. It was also delicious and packed with flavor.. The kids had a variety of noodle dishes and as a testimony to their dishes, not a word spoken out of any of them for 20 minutes straight - just a whole lot if slurping. This place has got to be one of my all time greats! Did I also mention, the prices are also great, with most dishes coming in under $10. My wife and I really like their Pad Thai and I thought that their mongolian beef and lettuce wraps were equal to or better than PF Changs (at a lower price and lower wait). The place has some ups and downs. First off, the atmosphere is pretty nice; I really like the interior with the big sail-looking thing on the ceiling and a separate area for a bar. The service was pretty good, nothing awesome, but nothing bad. Now the important stuff: food. The menu excited me, as it had a large selection of various dishes from all around the Asia, including the Chinese-Korean noodle dishes Jam bong and Jajangmyun, which are hard to find if you are not at one of those rare Chinese restaurants that rooted from Chinese restaurants in Korea. The thing is though, the food is not as good as it sounds. I ordered Pad Thai the last time i went, and the flavor reminded me of something like number 32 from some cheap Chinese takeout place: not spicy at all, but much sweeter than it should be. Surprisingly though, the above mentioned Korean-Chinese noodle dishes were pretty 'authentic', like the ones that I tasted when I was in Korea. would go again if the price was a little cheaper, but I will not go back and pay as much as they ask me to pay for their mediocre food. read more

Hmmm, pretty tough deciding whether to rate this place two or three stars. I decided to grab a to-go order on a whim. Service was very friendly and my order was given to me just 12 minutes after ordering it. Also, I LOVE the way they package everything. Very efficient and protective against possible spills. As for the food, that was where the conflict occurred. My hot and sour soup was slightly above-average (about 5.5 out of 10), but there were problems with my Chicken Coconut Curry Noodle Soup. For starters, the noodles were obviously made ahead of time and sitting in a package in the fridge until ordered, as they were congealed and still COLD. (They also smelled like rotten seafood for some reason.) The broth had a really good flavor, but the chicken in there tasted very low quality (like it was old) and the tomatoes were cut way too big (fourths). That was the weird part, because the chicken in my wife's Mongolian Stir-Fry was flavorful and tasted fresh, despite looking the same. I really liked her dish, which was the reason I ultimately decided to give them three stars. Maybe it's a good place for dine-in, as I like the decor and my wife enjoyed her dine-in experience a while ago. But for now, three stars is more than generous for my mediocre takeout order. read more

I love Asian food. Love it. This restaurant has a huge for variety for those wanting bibimbap and pho with a side of egg rolls. My family and I come here about 4 times a month, and we are NEVER disappointed. We get our staples, bibimbap, bulgogi, egg fu young, orange chicken and pad Thai with a side of egg rolls. As you can see, we get a large spread. The price is reasonable for the amount of food. It ranges for $9-12+ per dish and cheaper for apps. We always leave full. The food is delicious and full of flavor. They have plenty of vegetarian or vegan dishes (which I LOVE as a vegan). Food is GOOD. The atmosphere is nice enough for church attire, but casual to come in a shorts and a tee. The room is dark and intimate, which is perfect for a date night or close chatter. They have a full bar with tvs to watch any sports event. You can see the kitchen visibly, where you can see the cooks hard at work. The staff is always inviting. But Pan Acean came through for your girl! I ordered the fried rice (which comes with a a choice of either brown or jasmine, love the healthier options!) fresh veggies, bean sprouts, egg, and your choice of meat. The chicken is very good and very fresh. I usually judge a place like this and determine whether or not I'm going to come back on whether I like their chicken or not. And it definitely passed the test! Not only is this place great for takeout, they have a very inviting atmosphere inside that is perfect for a low key date night or bringing friends who are in town. We ordered the steamed veg dumplings, jalepeno veg. stirfry and the mapu-tofu with ramen noodles. The dumplings came in a cute little tin tiffin - looked good, tasted fine but the dipping sauce with it was just plain soy sauce that kept running all over the plate and didn't add anything to it. It was very saucy, I thought the sauce was a little heavy.. but the chicken was cooked well. My friend had the Korean Seafood Soup.. I tasted it and liked it better than what I ordered. Service was pretty slow... it took long to get food and they brought it out at different times. I had mine about 5 minutes longer than my friend. I didnt like that. In the past 2 months we had dine in your restaurant twice, and my husband and I have noticed a drastically decrease in the food quality. Panacean used to be one of our favorite restaurants in the area, not any more. The food is not only flavorless, but the meat quality is awful. The chicken used to be white meat, now you are mixing dark and white meat, with tendons and fat, it is really disgusting. This past Sunday I ordered the Sweet and sour chicken, the chunks of chicken were terrible, they have more batter than chicken and the quality of the chicken was really bad. What has happened to this restaurant? Did you change chef? Do you have new owners? Why is the quality so low? We don't have a lot of restaurants here in the Coppell area, I wish we could have the same quality of food as we used to have before. We eat at Pan Acean a few times a month, usually delivery. They are super fast and very friendly. The menu is huge and everything I have had has been pretty good. Favorites are Szechuan chicken, wonton soup, pork dumplings, pot stickers, beef and broccoli and hot and sour soup. If you go to the restaurant the staff is very friendly and the place is a laid-back, family-friendly place. The servings are huge so you can definitely share a few entrees. Worth a try. read more

Don't order food from Pan Acean in Coppell at the corner of Beltline and MacArthur!! Terrible delivery service and bad customer service!!! We used to order often but the delivery person NEVER rings the doorbell so the food sits outside getting cold until we check the camera. So we started tipping really small amounts and would call and politely ask them to tell their delivery person to always ring the doorbell. The last 2 times in the last week they didn't ring the doorbell so we called and had them remove the tip. Today the food even came cold and the soup was barely warm. The owner called us back and was rude and said they would never deliver to us ever again since we keep complaining about their delivery driver!! What kind of customer service is that from a restaurant!!??? Even after my back surgery a few months ago they delivered our food to the wrong house and I had to walk out there to flag the driver down. We're done with them!! We will only go to Wu's or Royal Chopstick from now on and we suggest you do the same and save yourselves some frustration! read more

If I could give zero stars I would! Tonight I ordered delivery, just like I do almost every week from this restaurant. Unfortunately I forgot to leave the no contact tip with the person over the phone when I ordered. They also forgot to ask if I would like to leave a tip. So because of this our food was delivered in good condition but I received a follow up call from "the manager" / delivery guy angry because I forgot got the tip. I said "I'm sorry, what?" Because I couldn't hear him very well. He yelled at me over the phone and said "do you have a hearing problem?!" Then hung up on me. So I went to the restaurant to take a $20 tip, I wouldn't want to be that person. Now mind you I am disabled and I do have a hearing problem. I asked to speak to "the mgr" and got the run around. I then tried to speak to the delivery driver who said he was keeping notes on the deliveries to my house and even recited my address to me. He then continued to make fun of my hearing disability by pretending to use sign language. I kept asking to speak to a manager and the responses from him were the manager is gone or we are all managers here. By the way I recorded our conversation and would post it but the witty manager/delivery guy who hates on people with disabilities, recites my address on the video. I have been coming to this establishment and ordering from them since they opened. I have always liked their food and I have only had minor issues with them before, but I would need to see "the notes" that they keep on deliveries to give you an accurate account. read more
