It was a little less than that. Line moves fairly well and it was in the shade. Getting a table was no problem. Food started coming out fairly soon after and came out in waves. For 2 we ordered: Small guac and chips - very fresh and good. Not spicy and not too much lime juice. Just good, solid, fresh, basic guacamole Erizo (uni) with the scallops - delish. Uno and scallops so fresh. Scallops are in a ceviche-style sauce under those beautiful sea urchins. Tostada de atún - also very good. Everything chopped perfectly. Not too much heat - some red onion in there. Ceviche of yellowtail - a big portion! Enough for more than two people for sure. Comes with side of tostada-type crispy tortillas Fish taco - I really enjoyed it. Light fry, crema, tomato, lime Kanpachi collar (grilled)- comes on a big plate with tomatoes, avocado, beans and rice in a little bowl on side, fresh blue corn tortillas - my partner said this was his favorite thing. Sparkling lemonade in a jar - great!! Fresh and light and not too sweet. Overall, worth the hype. I was worried it had been so built up in my mind it wouldn't be worth the line and everything but it was great and would come back (and will!!) It's in a food court-type setting so you aren't getting a quiet, service oriented experience. But if you know that going in, you'll be fine. Don't stress about not finding a table.

From the exceptional food and drinks to the warm hospitality and beautiful location, every visit is a wonderful experience. the service is always welcoming and attentive. I've recommended DAMA to so many friends over the years, and it has become a favorite for them as well. It's rare to find a restaurant that maintains such a high standard year after year, but DAMA does exactly that. I truly love this place and can't recommend it enough. I have several favorite dishes and celebrated many birthdays here. Thank you for six incredible years--I look forward to many more.

Cute building with lovely patio seating: from the trailing hanging pothos plants, Spanish tiles, to relaxing latin-house music the vibes were welcoming. I'm not much of a drinker though, when asked if I wanted to make my pina colada a "float" I thought incorrectly about ice cream. It was graciously explained that you take an additional shot of rum and float it on top of the drink or mix in to make it extra boozy. The pina colada is top notch they hollow out a real pineapple to make the drink and it's the size of your face! The watermelon cocktail was delicious and there is also a mezcal option. Tasted like if a watermelon aqua Fresca was combined with a margarita, there is a hint of salt that brings out the fruit sweetness. We special ordered a bunch of different proteins and vegetables at half portions to make a feast: Aguachile- Light refreshing starter, kanpachi perfectly marinated and great for the summer heat. Crispy potato- Phenomenally done fingerling potatoes. Whipped beans- Carnitas on top made this dish. Fried chicken tacos- Found the chicken slightly on the dry side, if there was a creamy/thicker sauce would be even better... nothing wrong with flavor, good mild heat. I did enjoy the fresh shredded cabbage and carrots, reminded me of bahn mi. Empanadas- Loved the acidity of the sauce that cut through the fattiness of the ground meat. Light shell. Crispy Squash flower- Delicate crunch, like an angelic version of a jalapeno popper. Lamb chops- Definition of "treat-yourself" luxurious meat lollipops. Celery salad- Simple dish but the lemon flavor and tartness really helped break up the richness of other dishes. Churros- Light crunch and small, petite dessert. The thin caramel sauce is addicting. Fine dining, for those special occasions or if you just want to splurge for a morale boost highly recommend this restaurant. Valet parking or park across the street or around the corner in a lot for $5-10.

Ambiance was amazing as everyone is talking about. They have done really good with the decor. Menu was great and they have good amount of options from fix menu about grill meat or à la cart. Sauce with the pollo was delicious. I would recommend this plate. For drinks we tried couple of their cocktails and they were good but I couldn't see anything more special to be for $22/$23. Over all it is a great place to check it out. I am giving one star less is due to the some menu price which I was not able to justify. (Parking fee additional and no validation)

~ ALL LOOKS, NO SERVICE, BIG REGRET ~…read more Reviews looked good on yelp so my group opted to have an early dinner here, but wow... this was one of the most disappointing and uncomfortable dining experiences I've had in a long time. We came in around 5:30pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was literally empty. That should've been our first clue. We were seated and then completely ignored for about 25 minutes... no water, no menus, no check-in. We finally had to flag someone down just to acknowledge we existed. Things went downhill fast. When my pregnant friend asked if they had iced tea or coke, the server actually told her she shouldn't be having caffeine and suggested something else instead. That comment was wildly inappropriate, not her place, and absolutely unacceptable. Full stop! Ordering food took forever, and when it finally arrived, it was painfully underwhelming. Dishes were missing items listed on the menu, portions were small, and the prices were laughable for what you get... think expensive guacamole that barely feeds one person, croquettes that tasted frozen, and fries that felt like an afterthought. Add in an extra kitchen fee on the bill and it just felt insulting. Service overall was scattered and disengaged, the space didn't feel very clean, and for a party of 8 being the only guests there, it somehow felt like we were an inconvenience. No warmth, no hospitality, no accountability. This place tries hard to look like an upscale Latin fusion spot, but it's all surface-level. Between the disrespectful comment, slow service, overpriced and mediocre food, and awkward vibes, this was an easy never again. Please save your time, money, and energy.

I ordered the quarter chicken with rice and salad, and I was really impressed with the portion sizes. Everything was flavorful, comforting, and gave me the kind of authentic Latin food vibes that I love. The sauce was definitely the highlight for me--it was so good that I found myself adding it to every bite. The prices are also fantastic. For the quality and quantity of food you get, this place is truly a gem. That said, there were a couple of downsides. The restaurant itself is very small, with limited seating available. The customer service also wasn't the best during my visit. Since the dining area was completely full when we arrived, we decided to place our order to go. While we were waiting for our food, a table opened up, so we asked if we could sit down and eat there instead. We were told that because we had ordered our food to go, we were not allowed to sit in the restaurant. I found that a bit disappointing, especially since we had already paid for the same food as everyone else dining in. Overall, the food was excellent and definitely the reason I would come back. If I'm in the area and craving their chicken, I'd absolutely return--just with different expectations regarding the seating situation and service.

Quiet, not too loud round that time of day. As always, every time I go to a Salvi restaurant is for the pupusas. I ordered 3 of them, with different fillings on rice flour. To cut to the chase, they were a solid 2.5 out of 5. Cheese tasted like regular jack. Chicharron was okay. Their tomato salsa was hella thin, almost like just red water, no taste all either. Pupusas also felt kinda undercooked. The rice flour kept sticking on my gums and teeth and believe me, it ain't supposed to be that way. Looked cooked outside but inside the flour was super soft almost, well, like raw.
