Tend to get more rice/noodles (whichever is your preference) than any the main dishes. Prices are reasonable, staff is helpful and service is quick. I never felt compelled to review anything other than tonight. I don't know what your policy is with incorrect food orders but there should be something in place for customers who receive wrong orders. When I called that the fried rice was missing, I was basically told to just redeem it next time. Like come on. If I wanted to drive up there and get it myself I would've, but I ordered because I wanted to stay in. This is for the Falls Church location. This place is messy and the quality of foods was way below compare to the other locations. The tables were dirty and they should re-evaluate their staff. The staff did not communicate to each other and messed up my order. Poor management. The manager was very rude to me and did not resolve my concern at all. He even spoke to me in a unprofessional way and scolded customers. I strongly suggest the upper management team to take care of the customer service side immediately. read more

If I could give this place a rating it would be zero. I ordered take out due to getting off work late and bought for convenience. First off it took them 30 min to make my food. Then it gets to my house and it's leaking and some of it is cold. The lo main is dripping with grease and has no flavor. The Kung Pao chicken tastes nothing like Kung Pao chicken. First, this is fast food, ok? I can only assume that the bad reviews are coming from people who compare Panda Express to other Chinese restaurants. But Panda Express is not a Chinese restaurant. It's Chinese fast food. And as far as fast food goes, I love it. I always get the chow mein, orange chicken, and spring rolls. Awesome meal. I think there are two tricks to eating here: 1) Try enough things on the menu until you find what you really like. Easy enough. 2) Get it hot and fresh. This one is a bit more tricky. What I mean is, if I get there during peak hours when they're rapidly replenishing the orange chicken with hot new batches, it's gonna taste better than it would if I got there at 3:00 and the orange chicken had been sitting around for a while. it's definitely great "Chinese" food. If you want fast service, go inside, don't ever go through the drive thru. I spent 30 minutes in the drive thru twice before, because their always short staffed. I feel horrible for the lady that always gets left doing all of the drive thru because she is busting her butt to provide excellent customer service. If you order a bowl, understand the entree you get will be cut extremely low. They over do the side but give you barely enough entree. I always get chow mein with beef & broccoli, I get a lot of chow mein, 8 pieces of broccoli and 2 pieces of beef. I have gone to this location twice in one month and both times I've been terribly disappointed. The first time I was barely given any noodles and sauce on my chicken after I asked for some. Today I received burnt rice and no sauce on my teriyaki chicken and my chicken has NO flavor. It's as if it's been barely grilled almost like just white boiled plain chicken. It is very disappointing considering that I have gone to other locations and their food is on point. Sad thing is that if I want panda on my lunch break I'm stuck to this location. Typical fast food chinese. I don't usually get Panda Express unless I am short on time. They are quick and I'm in and out of there in minutes. This place is pretty clean so it's nicer than the mall ones I've been to. I usually get the orange chicken and then some other entree. I think the orange chicken is decent. Not the greatest but decent, especially for fast food. But then I recently tried the grilled teriyaki chicken. I think I found a replacement for my orange chicken. Or maybe these 2 are the ones I will get next time. This place has a drive thru as well. First time seeing a drive thru chinese take out place. Nice touch. Found it useful. I can't believe I've driven by this place for years and did not go in!! The idea of fast food has really changed. This is now one of my favorite places to eat or take out. I love the way they let you taste the different foods and place them on a tooth pick. They are very courteous and friendly along with consistent . Don't forget to ask for your sauces. I also love the way that they secure the drink tops in a pull out container. If you love fortune cookies, you can buy I think it's 6 together tied up in a cute little. I had the chicken/mushrooms and the honey shrimp, this is a combo they sell. The chicken is white chunks and not rubbery. The portions are generous Many things to choose from. Already made and presented on display right in front of you as you walk down the line, always cooking more. They also have a drive through, I've never used. I like to see my food first. The only thing I do not like is they use Styrofoam for takeout, so bring your own container if you do not want it sitting for 400 years in the landfill. Also no WIFI, but maybe that's good, so you can taste the goodness in the food an savor the moment. Don't forget to take your receipt and take the survey online and get a code to put on back for the next time. For the receipt and code you get an additional entree for free!! I love that too. I am also very picky when it comes to Chinese food. My favorite being Peking Gourmet in Falls Church. How can anyone compare... But this place is far less expensive and never that crowded. Went through the drive through line which was incredibly slow. When I placed my order they asked if I needed any sauces. Asked for soy sauce. When I finally got my food, I drove my to my destination. Once I arrived and opened the bag there was no soy sauce or fork. I usually check the bag before I drive off but I was in a hurry. We really enjoy Panda Express, the orange chicken is awesome, and my kids loves the chicken with green beans (mostly the green beans!). What stood out at this location was the manager. We unknowingly went through the drive-thru a few minutes before they opened on a Sunday. We were greeted by what I can only assume was an automated greeting of a woman's voice, because we had no response after saying hello a few times. We then drove up to the window and the manager stuck his head out letting us know they weren't yet open, but would be glad to take our order. The food still came out quickly even. Last night I had a very unpleasant experience at my local Panda Express. I went through the drive-thru placed my order, glanced at it and everything seemed fine, then went home. When I got home I realized they forgot one order of shrimp. I ordered and paid for 5 but they gave me 4. My fiancé and I went back to the establishment with our receipt. I then told Vivi about the missing order of shrimp and she looked at me baffled and exclaimed "I gave you 5! 4 in the container and one on the side! I counted all 15 shrimp Myself!" I then kindly told her that I also counted and there were 9 in the container and 3 on the side which makes 12. She then replied "No, there were 15 I swear I counted!" At this point I'm shocked that she's telling me I'm wrong and she's right and she's looking at me I guess waiting for me to tell her I'm wrong. I explained that I went home and we had to come back out and that on a bill that was $25 I had no desire to get over on them for $1.95 or 3 shrimp. She told me to hold on but was still saying that she counted and she knows she gave us all the shrimp as she closed the window. She then came back with 2 egg rolls and told me that the kitchen was closed so she couldn't make anymore shrimp but will I take the egg rolls. I took the egg rolls and on our way home for the second time we wondered if it's normal for them to close the kitchen at 9:00 on a Friday night when the restaurant itself doesn't close until 10. I decided to call and ask but I called 3 times and got no answer. I'm sure that closing your kitchen an hour before the restaurant, not answering the phones, and accusing your customers of being wrong isn't Panda Express policy. I've been visiting this restaurant for years and while this isn't the first time they've messed up my order it is the first time I've been treated that way. The first and the last. read more

When I moved to the East Coast, first in New York and then in Washington DC area, the quality of the food wasn't so good and I stopped eating there as much. However, this Panda Express was excellent!! The food was hot and very tasty. It wasn't over cooked or difficult to chew. I sighed in pleasure, this was the Panda Express food I love! We went to this location at 10pm right after a soccer game. There were 4 of us and we got in line behind another family. They were low on rice and we asked what the wait would be, the girl answered 5 minutes. We told her we would wait and returned my son's plate that she had started. She then watched us sit down. 7 minutes later we ask if it was ready and she tells us they were closing so no more rice. I asked her why she told us there was a 5 minute wait if they were not going to make anymore, mind you this is 30 minutes before closing time. She stated she was sorry, I asked her if she thought my family and I were just loitering around enjoying the ambiance waiting for them to close and she just giggled. Typical Panda Express either a hit or miss. Sometimes the trays have food, sometimes there's almost no options and food seems like it's been sitting for a while. Last time I went staff was arguing between the male chef and the male server. Food is basic. This location is modern and generally clean. Slow service during lunch hours. Food is consistently cold, dried out and "recycled". I have eaten here at least a dozen times over the past year. Every time the low mien is cold/oily. The food is very dried out and hard. The only exception being if you are in at lunch time. I guess the higher number of customers through makes dishing out older food harder. read more

I think this place is great americanized chinese fast food. But thats what it is, fast food. They have a drive-up which is nice. Eating here often is probably a good way to give yourself a heart attack but I have never had a bad experience. I love their lo-mein and fried rice.
