So I've always heard of Panda Express being so awesome. My boyfriend went to pick us up dinner around 830. We ordered teriyaki chicken with noodles and broccoli beef. After he ordered, a large group came in behind him. When he got home, we dug into the bag to be hugely disappointed. Literally it was 1 box with all 3 items..... I guess he ordered it wrong? Idk. I had my little 5 pieces of beef and broccoli. The flavor was good. The noodles a little bland and my bf liked the teriyaki chicken. He said he should of known better when the total was under $15. Most of the time, they don't have what I would like to order, and they promise unrealistic cook times if you decide to wait. Then they ask you if you would like something else after you already have waited... Today, I went through the drive through, and I was the second car. This was my second time here. Both times the food was fresh and hot. Service wasn't slow like other reviews said. Of course I came on Saturday both times so maybe that helps. Every dish tasted like a deep fried sponge from last week. the rice was cold and dry and the "famous orange chicken" tasted like old corn syrup with no "orange" flavor at all. I've been here more than I'd like because my wife likes this place for some reason. Every single time we go here this place either doesn't have the food you actually want or they screw up your order. EVERY SINGLE TIME. Seriously, never drive away before you check your order. It WILL be wrong. When you call about it the just write your name in a book and move on. It's solid Chinese takeout. Along with Chin Chin, is my go-to for good Chinese takeout. I don't like that it's a chain, but I can't deny that it's convenient, fast, reasonably priced, and tasty. This was my first experience at panda express and it was not the best. First off all I ordered online a kids meal and put in 1:15 as the pick up time. I walked in at 1:18 and told the nice lady at the register that I was here for my pickup order. She then, told me to just wait one second. The order was suppose to be already prepared in the first place and I stood there for 10 minutes before I finally complained and they finally started preparing my food. This location needs a good manager. I visit today at 5pm, expecting a long dinner line but only saw two tables. I had to wait 20 minutes to get two entrees and vegetables. I was surprised since I eat it all the time in LA, to find it was greasy and over spiced. Somebody is not following the recipe! It never fails when I go here that I have to wait at least 20-25 minutes in the drive thru line for my food. Trust me I have given this place many, MANY chances and I don't know if it's the staff or how they run the establishment but even when it's not that busy everyone is running around like a mad person and acting so chaotic and even this evening I thought I would give them one more shot because I really do love the food but the wait is just not worth it and also the staff aren't that friendly as well. I pulled up to the drive thru line at 6:50 and did not leave the drive thru UNTIL 7:15. 25 minutes in a drive thru line is absolutely ridiculous when it wasn't even busy whatsoever. I guess I'll have to go somewhere else to get my Chinese food because I am so tired of having to plan my schedule around waiting on them to be time efficient and PLUS this evening my food was not even the right thing of what I ordered. After waiting almost 30 minutes in the line I didn't even get what I originally wanted and was NOT going back to try to get them to fix it because who knows how long that would've taken. Came on Friday night and was what you would expect on Grand Opening. Was quite busy. Really don't understand how people complain on openings about things as that is not the norm. Since really watching diet and Chinese is the worst, it was nice to see the calories and also have the details in MyNetDiary for this restaurant. My wife split the meal and had only vegetables and pepper chicken and was very satisfying. It's close to the house and when we want to have Chinese will will return. Newly opened so we thought we'd give it a try. Big mistake. Made us wish we'd been patient and waited in line at our usual place since we waited in line here anyway. Felt rushed to make a selection when we finally got to top of line since it's Chinese fast food. They really should take down signs that say "if you don't see your entree, ask and we'll make it." I fell for this promise, asked for chicken and broccoli, and was told "we don't make that." Steamed veggies--mostly broccoli--were crisp but no flavor whatsoever. 2 stars for "Meh. I've experienced better." Visit on 11/2/2017 around 8pm. Why? Let me start with the Positive: -Friendly staff. Was greeted as soon as I opened the door. -The staff that served us was knowledgeable about the food letting us know about allergen problems. -Food was fresh -Veggies were crisp and green.~Awesome and so on with the Negative: -Most of the tables were dirty. We had to wipe down the table. -Men bathroom ran out of toilet paper. -The napkins in the dispenser were out -Food portion was much smaller compare to the first time I visited there 3 weeks ago. -Barely any chicken in the Kung Pao Chicken. About 2 small cut pieces and the rest were mainly peanuts and peppers. ( had better, and bigger pieces of chicken 3 weeks ago. -Very very oily. -Charged for a small cup of water. In conclusion, I have been to many Panda Express around the nation in CA, MI, OH, FL, TX, OK, NC, TN and a few other states. While this location may be better than some that I had experienced. I also found that they lack key principle that I found better at Panda elsewhere.I feel that this second visit failed me at worst and I would believe that it must have of been a different crew of cooks. The food portion was a lot smaller, and some of the entree me and my party got were over saturated with oil. I will give it another try some other time. If it remains the same. I'm surprised at the number of bad reviews of this place. I thought it was pretty great. We went thru the drive-thru and then parked and ate in the car. Quick, accurate service. I ordered a bowl of Broccoli Beef and it was more than I could eat. The broccoli was perfectly cooked, crispy and fresh. There could have been more beef, but what can you expect at a fast food chain? My hubby got Orange Sesame chicken and he was pleased, too. Even the fortune cookies were fresh! Reasonably priced, only $18 for two meals with drinks. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the tea. That's why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. Odd flavored like it had fruit juice in it and I prefer real tea with nothing added but sugar. The only problem was that they're on Woodruff Road, which was pretty busy at 2:30 on a Friday. No going left out of the parking lot. We'll go there again if we're in the neighborhood. We are lucky to have a Panda Express in the area now. This one is very clean. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the prices are really good. Growing up Panda Express was in every mall. It's consistent and fairly cheap but just remember it's mall food. Its still served just like your'e in line in the food court. Everything sits in trays already cooked and you point at what you want. Most of the sauces are super sugary and the cuts of meat are mediocre. The sides lack a bit in flavor as well. It's a step up from a lot of the take out places but not by much. read more
