BTW - We had called in advance to make sure they would have grilled teriyaki chicken since a few weeks before they were out and we passed on eating at Panda completely due to the time before that they were also out of grilled teriyaki chicken and we accepted a substitute entree. Let's start with the service, which was excellent. The person serving us was friendly, even offer samples of anything we wanted to try. The portions were good . No, the three stars were for the food. The shrimp was delicious! The Angus beef was delicious! Unfortunately, the brown rice was undercooked, the chow mein noodles were also under done (way too chewy), and the teriyaki chicken was burnt on one side, making it hard to chew through. Had it had skin on I could have taken it off, but it was the meat itself. So both sides and one entree I am rating three stars. But I am just hoping they were having an off night, so I may give them another chance. read more

FIRST, the price ($30.00) plus tax for a panda feast does not include specialty entrees, then instead of $.50 more the server says they are $1.50 more. The overall quantity of food received for the price is poor and then restricted to basic items only. SECOND, the entrees I ordered were orange chicken (regular, I even pointed to it), mushroom chicken and black pepper chicken with 2 sides of chow mein. I received SPICY orange chicken which spoiled my children's meals. They are three, five and six years old respectively and do not tolerate spicy foods. The only thing we served my children was chow mein and orange chicken as they do not prefer the other entrees. They refused to finish their dinners and we were forced to fix them something else. The orange chicken even had SPICY red chilli flakes and sauce on them and after trying them, they ARE spicy for an adult. I mentioned that the initial price of the Panda Feast was high to begin with but then to tack on additional charges for "certain specialty" entrees was ridiculous. She stated, "I know, but that's corporate for you." I then mentioned that if I purchased $30 of food anywhere else [I mentioned a couple other local establishments] I would have an enormous amount of food in comparison to what I received. They never remember to give us the sauces we order through the drive through with our meals! I always have to go in and get them. And I hate going in because the floors are so greasy I skip and slide walking in. The grease is now tracking out of the restaurant onto the sidewalk in a black sticky mess. Windows are disgusting as well with hand prints and smears all over them. It's gross. I'll have to drive out of town to enjoy panda again. read more

When panda first opened it was awesome, the food was great, then it started going downhill...portions got smaller, it looked less fresh and customer service was poor. Then they brought in a new manager Andre and you could definitely tell a great differnce in that. His managing skills were great. The portions were generous again, and fresh again and customer service was noticeably improving, but now i don't know if he is still managing at that panda express anymore, because last time we ate there it was the downward spiral all over again...new people and stale looking food and super small portions... bring back andre or bring someone in that can raise the standards of this panda once again. read more

The foods not bad. The only issues is don't and I say don't use the drive thru!!! They don't don't put any food in the plates they give u. Every time we use the drive thru an we get home an open the boxes. There's practically no meat. Literally nothing but rice. It's like they have this idea if you don't see it you won't know. What a sad representation for the Panda Express brand! While staying in a nearby hotel, my wife and I decided to order dinner from this location on 2/17/18. I wish I could turn back time to choose another establishment! In our hometown, Panda is one of our favorites as the service is consistently five stars. However, this location earns one star because I'm forced to choose a rating. Upon placing my order around 9 PM (1 hour before closing), I was informed there was no more teriyaki chicken for the evening. So, I chose an alternate item and completed my order. When I arrived at the window I was not greeted, but simply told my total for the order. I asked the employee if they had run completely out of chicken, and was informed they ran out earlier in the evening. My suspicion was they did not desire to cook fresh chicken to fill the order, even though Panda signage in their restaurants state to request an item if it's not on the hot bar. I was handed my food, and told to have a good evening. Before leaving the parking lot, I checked my order and was missing sauce for my cream cheese Rangoons. I went inside to ask for the sauce, and my suspicions were confirmed. The grill where the chicken for teriyaki chicken would be cooked, was sparkling clean!! My impression was the employees had a desire to chat with their friends and head out for the evening versus servicing customers. I also overheard the employee who took my order ask her friend if she was going to order food because they were cleaning up. I wish the experience stopped here. Upon returning to my hotel, my wife began to eat her broccoli beef to find only three pieces of beef. The fried rice had a consistency of porridge and gum! The last straw and even more reason for me to post this review was the survey system on the Panda Express website. As I completed the survey, I was only asked a few questions about returning and referring someone to this location. Of course my answer was "not very likely". The survey concluded, and there was no option for me to voice my concerns or even share my contact information. Maybe the Panda Express brand no longer cares to have consistency throughout their stores. I suppose the art of customer service is slowly dying! read more

Went to drive thru. Orange chicken is currently unavailable, so as the sweet fire chicken breast and powerade. I asked for a Angus steak and its usually dollar more. I got 4 pieces of meat with super drenched in sauce like it was a soup overflowed all over my to go plate. Unhappy with the service. Absolutly the worst experience! The staff was too busy on there cell phones first. Then we get help and they did not want to make any chow mein yet. It's good. The only issue I have with panda is when I order my sons kids meal and order the teriyaki chicken, he never or sometimes gets his teriyaki sauce. I would ask if it's in his kids meal at the time of paying and they always say "oh it should be in there" I take their word and go about my business. Only to get home and I have a disappointed toddler. If your not 100% when a costumer asks just give them another little cup. Anyways, good place to eat! read more

I do not typically leave reviews, but this Panda Express location really needs some corporate attention. We have been to many Panda Express locations in our travels and this location is by far the worst! I have been through the drive thru a few times this past month each visit thinking it must of been an off day for service, (benefit of the doubt I guess) Each visit I ordered the same two entree plates for dinner for myself and hungry husband. The portions were very small, I would say snack sized. Then you order and are asked to wait because they're out of an item. Told it would be 10 minute wait and was over 20 minutes. Only to AGAIN be given snack sized meal portions, after waiting all of that time! When on my third visit I verbally told the girl taking my order to please provide regular sized portions as we've previously been shorted on portions, she was very rude and once again even after asking we AGAIN had small portions for dinner. DANIEL the manager couldn't help us out after returning home to feed our two year old son our order was not complete he is very hungry only likes the chicken teriyaki after talking to Daniel he insisted on getting the receipt order number instead of making things right he insisted he couldn't do anything more I told him could you check the cameras or make this right somehow and he was very quick to say no no no I am very sorry for this business that I will never come again and will travel out of my way to go to the Santa Maria one where they actually take care of you I feel sorry for Daniel the manager he should not be there anymore someone there that can actually help would be very nice thank you read more

In Florida, I loved Panda Express and ate there a lot because food was pretty good. The Lompoc location however is alright, but quality isn't what I'm familiar with. Vegetables was especially bad. I may stop by again just to try one more time. read more

Sadly this is the best cheap Chinese takeout in lompoc. It's pretty good food for what it is though. I got served food that was only room temperature once, but they remade the food fresh for me when I brought it back to the counter without complaint. I go there once every few weeks, but there are much better places in santa maria. read more

A very typical panda express, ok food and service. Not very clean though there was rice on the floor near a couple of tables.

This was the worst experience ever. I came to Panda Express at 8:30 pm, they had the entrance blocked and took forever to take my order. When I got my order, I was disgusted by their customer service, I ordered half of rice and half of chow main noodles and one egg roll, they had put at least 2 noodles in there and had put TWO egg rolls instead of one, also the rice was hard and cold, the employees should learn how to cook and count. Lots of food for what you get. Its' fast food, so considering this, I gave it four stars. I did have to wait for more chow mien, but I'd prefer that then dry noodles any day. The food is very consistent and the new Manager, Andre, is very kind and polite and always wants to make sure the customer is well taken care of. It seems like He always treats the employees with respect as well. When you go there you see him working everywhere, from cooking, to cleaning, to serving food. He's always setting the example for his group. One thing that I found particularly great about this manager is that he came up to our table and asked us how what's the food or if we needed something else. He definitely made us feel like we were in high class restaurant and that's something you do see everyday. The service is great and food is very good. I 100% recommend this place! read more

I've been eating at the Lompoc Panda since they opened; became a big fan of their food when I used to live in Fresno. I just left this store (Lompoc) with a 2 entree order of mushroom chicken and Bejing beef, all over noodles. It was disappointing. The prices have gone up, and I would be happy to pay the increase (within reason), but the portions were totally inadequate. No value for my buck. The mushroom chicken was mostly zucchini, with about 6 little pieces of meat, and the beef dish was barely enough to snack on. Really disappointing. read more

Been running around all day moving boxes and taking care of my friend's plants while out of town and I realize it's 930pm and I'm starving. Thank you panda for having a drive thru cuz my raggy looking disheveled mess wasn't about to step foot anywhere to get something to eat. I was told five minute wait for what I wanted to order. No worries, at least I know it will be "fresh off the wok", HOWEVER, as I sat at the drive thru window, I felt bad for the three cars behind me that had to wait for my food to get done. I was surprised that the young man working the window didn't pull a MCD's and ask me to park and wait. Maybe they don't have the corporate enforced ridiculously impossible "speed of service" window times like fast food places do. I think they need practice with the food scooper at this place, I consistently get skimpy portions. I watched the airhead behind the counter completely disregard how much she scooped into my to-go box - she saw there was only one lonesome piece of beef in there, but was obviously too busy with the line-of-nobody stretching out the door to care.
