I came here many times and I never thought to give a review about any restaurants I go to. So here I go. This is Panda Express on Haun Road, it's located within the marketplace, specifically next to Wingstop and Chase. The place looks very clean, they were serious about the cleanliness I can give them the credits for that. The restroom, now I remembered half of the time it was a bit dirty and half of the time it's very clean. Now, with the foods, they do look good, although the taste has seem to lost it for a bit, in my opinion. The food selection are wide and variety and very common, there isn't one item that is stranger to us. The hour is vary by the week and weekend. Although the time do look a bit closer. For example, Sunday including weekday they open from 10 AM TO 10:00. Saturday, they open from 10 AM to 10:30. Now about the friendliness of the staffs, there is seemingly none from the staff, they don't greet you with warm and happy attitude, instead they go "hello, what would you want?" There are two times never to come to Panda: close to closing, and when there's a line all the way to the door. At those times the food is old, or they get easily flustered, which frequently leads to mistakes. Any other time you're golden. I'm a big fan of the sweet fire chicken breast. I often get it with half noodles and half fried rice. A little of their soy sauce sets the rice off nicely. PROTIP: Keep your receipt. Besides that the customer service was bad, my mom wanted a medium tea and they had run out at the drink bar... She asked to exchange for a small drink and refund the difference. We just ordered from uber eats and the portion sizes are ridiculous. We eat here often and have never gotten such small amounts of entrees. The worst food I've ever had. Some entrees were drastically short of meat. Egg roll was like a Gino's pizza roll. Nothing had flavor.

We ordered a family meal to go online and paid for it. I received a confirmation that the order was submitted and that it would be about 40 minutes before it was ready. We made another stop on the way to kill time and arrived exactly on time. My SO went in to pick up order and was told they didn't receive it. By this time he is like a bear awakening from hibernation because he is hungry and blames me because it didn't go through. So pissed he just goes back home. I know I had submitted the order correctly because I double checked every step, have had trouble with the website in the past switching me to another location. When we got home I looked it up on my credit card and had been charged for the order at the Hahn location. He is really pissed now. Calls to tell them about it. After waited 35 minutes on hold he gives the lady the information. No apology, no let's figure out what happened. Just said it should be removed in 3 to 4 days, click. And he was being nice. Don't think we will be returned. Used to eat here at least every week or two. Quality of food has gone down and this isn't the first time they have messed the order up, without fixing the problem. read more

I did make a stop for lunch on Wednesday 1/15/2020 at 1:45pm; the place looks average at best with server behind the counter who seems to be in a bad mood for some reason. I asked for half and half 2 items combination, the server took a full scoop of fried rice and start to shake it until hardly anything left there, then placed in my to go box. Following, she started to fluff the Chow Mein and took less than what you will give to a 5 years old kid and she placed it next to the sad looking fried rice. The final moved that just had me turning bombastic is my broccoli and beef, as one can predict she master the art of collecting only broccoli pieces without any meat (five pieces to be accurate) and added to my sad looking lunch box; then she added a smallest piece of greasy looking beef on top...I couldn't help myself from walking out of that place. How much more a person can pay and still get kids' meal. I will never get back to that place and for that matter to Panda Express. The more people tolerate and accept this nonsense the more we are treated like fools...Hell with Panda Express!!! read more

Stars are for the employees that are very nice and for the food that is good for fast food! Every time we have come to this panda, we are given tons of rice or noodles and less than normal portions for the entrees. At first we didn't care that much, but have started seeing a new trend. They put rice underneath the entree too make it appear as if you've gotten a good amount, but once you dig in, you start seeing what they did... That's crazy!! I know they are next door to Chipotle who are known to give skimpy portions and charge as if they are going overboard! Perhaps Panda is following suit... Overall, good food and great quality But sometimes it is bad, I remember trying to stab a piece of Orange Chicken with a plastic fork and the fork literally broke and sent pieces of it flying everywhere, one hittin my forehead. Horrible service from the workers dishing out food. Everytime we decide to give you another try, there is a super long line with workers on the phone or not paying attention. Also they are deliberately slow...seems like they don't really want a lot of return business. Came here at 10:30 in the morning, says they open at 10. They only had chow mein, orange chicken, rice, walnut shrimp, egg rolls, and broccoli and beef. Lots of empty meats. Overheard the remaining two staff members saying the only cook was in the restroom, and they seemed confused on what to do. The cashier walked up to the only other employee that was eating in the dining room and asked him if he knew how to make the meats, to which he responded no, he couldn't. The cashier then walked by the bathroom and shouted the designated cooks name to get the gentleman out of the restroom to make the food. To be clear, I don't have a problem with someone using the restroom. I do have a problem with the store being open for thirty minutes already and half the items aren't even available for purchase without requiring a lengthy wait time. I have worked in the food industry for over five years and heads would absolutely roll if my restaurant wasn't up and running at the time we said we were open with all items available. (Unless, of course, we did not have the ingredients in stock for whatever reason, which was not the case here.) While the food is good, I'm simply underwhelmed by the level of professionalism displayed. To be even more clear, I do not blame the staff, as this is clearly more representative of lack luster management, training, and scheduling. Every establishment I've worked at has always had at the very least three cooks on hand who were properly cross trained for all foods at opening, so to only schedule a singular designated meat cook at opening time for an establishment that is primarily meat based is rather ridiculous. She hooked us up and filled our tray more than we usually get at other Panda locations. The restaurant was clean. Had a Horrible experience last night. I ordered the steak and shrimp with teriyaki chicken. Received massive amount of rice / chow mein, chicken was placed on top covering the beef and shrimp. The young asian girl serving the food at this location is and has been consistently rude, arrogant, Pushy, unwilling to answer questions about product & makes customers feel like they are wasting her time. I never get my own food from the counter, my daughters or wife do it while I secure a table. It gives me a Unique prospective to sit back and watch the interaction between customer and staff. I Believe the most important person in a retail business Is the 1st person that comes in contact with the customer to make a great 1st impression. That said, Poor attitude has been commonplace at this location for some time we have seen it over multiple visits. I believe this employee needs to be kicked to the curb, different training implemented with older more mature management oversight. This is what happens when you let young people run a business. Panda is not cheap as far as fast food goes, couple extra dollars you can have a nice meal elsewhere. That said, money is tight these days and PANDA is going to have to fight to pry it from me again. Im giving it five stars because everything was fresh and delicious and that's all I really want in food. Each dish had its own flavors, nothing that over powered the fresh tasting ingredients. I got the orange chicken which was delish, along with mushroom chicken with brown rice and mixed veggies. All of it was so good on its own, no sauce required to give it flavor. Very fresh tasting and satisfying. The chicken pieces in both dishes was moist and tender and tasted like they just cut it up in back, which they probably did. I really liked how well they cook the veggies in everything. Crisp and fresh! I hate mushy vegetables and I often avoid them at chinese food places but not here! I scarfed them down they were so good. Cabbage, green beans, zuccini, broccoli, mushrooms, simple ingredients but cooked to perfection! It makes a huge difference! The line out the door tells you its good, so the big turnover means nice fresh ingredients, nothing tastes like it has been sitting around. I appreciate that they have healthier brown rice too, which I got. The spring rolls and cream cheese wontons were delightful, not greasy at all. I appreciate how well they packed the "to go" meal. On January 23, 2020 at 6:30pm we visited the Menifee Panda Express to support our school's fundraiser. Panda is my son's absolute favorite restaurant. He orders the same thing every time. 50/50 fried rice and chow mein, 2 orders of orange chicken, spring roll and wontons. Within 15-20 minutes of him eating his dinner, he said he felt itchy all over and his tounge felt weird. I lifted up his shirt, and he was completely broken out in hives. I'm extremely familiar with these types of hives because my son has an extreme allergy or sensitivity to WALNUTS!! Mind you, we ate at Panda 2 weeks ago, where he ordered all the exact same foods and had no adverse reactions. My thought is that last night some how the Honey Walnut Shrimp was cooked in the same oil or same pan as any of the items my son ate like orange chicken. His pediatrician was confident it was a contamination with walnuts. Today, my son was unable to attend school because he's still suffering with hives. His pediatrician gave him steroids to be on for the next four days as well as benadryl every six hours. I'm thinking it's no longer safe for us to be customers of Panda Express since I can't trust this won't happen again and my son's health and well being are for more important to me than the $35 I spent on food that made him sick. I'm sure you can all understand and sympathize with my son's situation and use this instance as a teaching moment in your restaurants to not cross contaminate nuts into other food. Furthermore, I understand Panda hires younger girls, however let me just add that I think its extremely inappropriate when your girls are trash talking to each other the client they served right before me, right in front of me. The food is inexpensive in this area or should I say, California alone. I've been in California for almost six months now and it's hard to grab a bite under ten dollars these days. I tried the teriyaki chicken (I think) and as with any chicken, its fine. I'm asian so finding authentic asian food is hard. I gave it a five star because the price is affordable.
