I love panda and the food is always great. The service though, I have no idea what the management is doing, but there was no one being helped, and there was so many items that were not available, or still being prepared. I'm not going to a fast food place to wait 30 mins to get my food, otherwise I would go to a sit down restaurant. The online ordering obviously was slowing them down too. It's a fast food chain so the food will taste like it. I was happy to hear this location had the beyond orange chicken, and I had a BOGO coupon code, so a perfect opportunity to try it. I got two of the small entrees with the beyond chicken and lo mein ($9.32 each because of the beyond up charge). Food was ready on time, warm, and there were no issues with pick up. The beyond chicken was actually phenomenal and addicting, but the lo mein was much too oily for me and I could barely finish it. The portion size was much smaller than I expected though, and it ended up being just one meal. There is not a lot of volume of food, but the grease can make it seem more filling. Because why? Because panda isn't actually that bad as long as the food is turned over regularly for example it's fresh! Fresh! Like a just made it. When they just made it it's delicious if it's gotten saw you sitting in the chafing dish for the last three hours then no it's going to suck I can help assure you of that. Better express is located in the new Lake Nona plaza that is home of Lowes, Sam's, Walmart, TJ Maxx, Petsmart, and just about anything else that is in this exploding area. Oh by the way... Whichever person at panda decided to place a restaurant here is probably going to get a huge bonus for their most insane sales of a panda ever. The place has been busy every time a bit biased, but upon entering I have been dumbfounded it out unbelievably fast this delicious food comes out. Hence fast food...fresh. Yeah yeah yeah... So I lost 100 pounds and I feel like to eat crappy Chinese food. Suggestion just don't eat it all and you will put on 100 pounds well, most likely well but if you do enjoy some of that Beijing beef! Listen, sometimes you just want a quick meal. My kids are obsessed with Chinese food and I usually make it at home. I don't love MrK's Chinese at all (the local go-to place in Lake Nona). My kids usually devour Panda and tonight- it was a complete fail. The teriyaki chicken was inedible. It smelled so awful we threw it away. Like, stinking up my kitchen . It was bizarre. My daughter spit out the orange chicken and even the noodles were hard tonight. The Diet Coke was flat. Honestly, it was so bad I don't even want to give it a one star review. Yikes. The honey walnut shrimp is delicious. Just the right amount of sweet honey sauce along with fresh crunchy walnuts. I also had the Beijing beef which could have been fantastic but fell well short of my expectations. If a dish is labeled as spicy on the menu, I expect there to be some heat and there wasn't any at all. The sauce is very tasty and would have earned another star if it had hit the spicy note. My fried rice and egg roll were average. The rice was cooked well and when mixed with the beef making a nice flavor combination. The egg roll appeared as if it spent to long under a warmer. The addition of ginger to the filling made it more tasty and of course I dipped it in plum sauce. Overall not great but worthy of another visit. read more

Enough to say that only half of their entrées were available, none of the tables were clean, they were out of soda, and one of the servers behind the counter kept coughing into her mask and saying "I can't breathe". I don't see why people come to Panda Express and expect authetic Chinese cuisine, only to be disappointed by their experience and complain about the joint. Panda Express is just an upgarded takeout restaurant. If you are expecting authentic Chinese food, then you are at the wrong place. But if you are looking for a quick bite that's better than McDonald's, then this is the place for you. I always like to spend a little extra for their prime Angus steak. It pairs really well with the fried rice. Their portion matches well with the price they are charging and I can't really complain about the service either. Alright so I'm a pretty patient IMO. When people are making your food sort of need to be both patient and flexible. That said this location seems to consistently be mismanaged in the evening. We've tried in the daytime and while not the best, it's no comparison to how chaotic it is at night. Went in at little bit before 8:30pm (they close at 10pm). So I ask for the family feast. Egg rolls - Out; Beijing beef - out; string bean chicken - out; brócoli and beef - out; Angus, noodles, OUT. After an awkward silence...I ask...could you prepare some noodles and Beijing beef. "It'll be 'bout 10 to 15 minutes. Is that okay." I say sure. NP. Seems they were having all kinds on issues including socializing in the dining room with a freind. There may be pictures on TIK TOK or some other site. It got a little busy so much that another employee cried out "hey you're on tha clock here!!" Seems she needed help with the orders. Even so the guy at the booth came up and interrupted the employees trying to attend the customers and continue to argue about not posting the the pics he was taking. Mind you IDC about the pics but I'm waiting for food and you all are playing around while ppl have places to be. Then come to find out no one can find the large family meal containers so it seems like the sky was falling. Honestly...problem solve. Estimate the size and place in the white carry out plate. Problem solved! Nope let's try and do this using calculus and trig to figure the equivalent medium and thumb size containers. After everything was "packed up" someone then said found the containers. Then they spent 5 minutes fighting about why 3 other ppl who looking in the same spot didn't find them!! Waited almost a total of 40 plus minutes. No sauces, plates, fortune cookies. Had to ask. I wasn't rude or anything but extremely annoyed because this is what we can expect from this place. My wife called because the order seemed off. No kidding I just didn't wanna deal anymore. So this location just opened not too long ago but this isnt my first time coming. We came before but they weren't open yet. Maybe they were training. Anyway i finally made it here after me being out late one night in passing by here. It wasn't anyone in line and maybe only about four people inside but You know how things go though, as soon as I got in line 4 other people came behind me lol. Anyway the staff greeted me and told me it would be a second but I was waited on immediately. The customer service was very good and it went very smooth. I Haven't tried the food yet so I will be back...... ok So we tried the food and it was good. Better than I thought I got the teriyaki chicken and the kung poa chicken. Panda Express is a Mall Food Court style limited offerings due to space constraints. You eat that is there, or go away, no special requests, this is not Burger King, eat it our way or get the F* out, this is their mentality. Overall, the full restaurant has same offerings in the Mall as they do in a free standing restaurant that is purpose build, new construction, so why didn't they make the display bigger and offer more items? They think, they have 14 feet of counter space in the mall, so why make it longer as that will overwhelm the staff. Its a mass produced Americanized versions of take out Chinese food. The prices are high, and the are adding new items to the menu, but those are premium items which are of course extra cost, of course. The only difference is searching for a table is easier than compared to the mall. The staff have no idea of quick service. There will be 2 people standing at the Lomein / Rice section asking which do you want. The second person will not take an order until the other has finished. Why do they have two people there if only one order can be taken at a time. I was at a different location, and they had two people and both took orders at the same time. For mass produced food by inexperienced minimum wadge human robots, its not bad. But its nice to get mall food court food without the hassle of parking at the mall and spending 10 minutes finding a table. If you want Chinese food go to a real Chinese restaurant. read more

Now the food is obviously what you pay for, it's not bad whatsoever since it's a quick service food place; unfortunately my issues resides with the staff and customer service. I walked in to order my plate as usual when I noticed another customer was being served. I speak both English and Spanish so what I observed from their interaction was the customer politely asking the staff if anyone spoke Spanish. The lady serving the food quickly responded no, she did not. The customer then attempted to visually signal what he wanted in his meal, but the lady who was serving the customer was apathetic, unsympathetic, and non-amicable. It was as she was trying to get his meal done as quickly as possible to get the customer to leave the premise. Now I don't know the full story or why the customer was treated in that manner, but I know enough that we have many people in Florida who don't know more than one language, but that is no excuse to not act like a decent human being towards them. I do hope the lady who served him improves on her social skills because that display I witnessed was unnecessary and uncalled for. read more
