Sizzling shrimp. Very small portions
Chad T.

First of all, I say if I could give a negative 5 star, I would. I stopped in at this Ramona California Panda Express. I ordered the new sizzling shrimp bowel with choman noodles . For the price I got no were near what I should of. And yes, I eat at Panda, and I got more than what I got on this order. It's not worth it this time. No, I will not recommend this Panda Express. I took a picture of the shrimp. With is spicy. Good luck if you Try this place . Honestly your wasting money

My first visit to the Ramona Panda Express was a disappointing one. I've been to other Panda Express before, Poway most recently. I decided to order a few simple items, Chicken Egg Rolls, Vegetable Spring Rolls and Cream Cheese Won Tons, all items I've had before at a number of Asian restaurants and items I've made at home. As soon as I opened the items I saw that the Won Tons were opened and there was no cream cheese inside and they were soggy and greasy. The Egg Rolls and Spring rolls were also greasy and luke warm/cold. I brought the items to the manager and explained the issues. I was told the kitchen staff is still working out some issues and apologized. I completely understand having issues with a new staff at a new restaurant, completely, but visual inspection should tell you if an item shouldn't be sent out. I hope they can fix the issues they have and get their kitchen staff on point.

The team at Panda Express Ramona are excellent. I had the best customer experience at this location. They work together and effectively communicate to one another to handle the waves of customers that come inside and through the drive through. The food is hot + fresh and the dining room is extremely clean. I want to recognize Carolina for how she addressed a potential customer service situation in a timely manner. There was a customer who was rude and impatient and Carolina handled it professional, courteous, and calm. What a true asset to the company. I am so happy they opened a Panda Express in Ramona. I wish them only continued success into the future. Carolina, thank you so much for making my family's dining experience so memorable. We will always look forward to coming in to see you!

Ordered 2 entree plate with chicken dish and steak entree (upcharge $1.25ish)
Pennie W.

I go through the drive through usually and they always do this. They won't give you a full amount of an entree. This steak entree that you see very little of had 4 bite size pieces of steak. This item is up charged $1.25 or so because it is premium. GIVE ME A FULL SERVING!

Take out Family Meal

Visited 2/7/2021 Take out only Damn COVID. Placed my order online fast and easy. I ordered The Family meal with Honey walnut shrimp, Black pepper Angus steak, Orange chicken, chicken eggrolls, Chow mein, and fried brown rice. I like the fact that online You can ask for it to be ready whatever time you want to pick it up. If you order online you can't go through the drive-through you have to go inside to pick it up. Here in Ramona it's a nice addition to fast food Chinese. It's nice to have something different to try now and then. It's not the best Chinese food I've ever had it's not even close but it is OK. The honey walnut shrimp were tender and I enjoyed them. The black pepper Angus steak entrée was spicy but pretty good tasting. The orange chicken was quite bland and definitely needed a bunch more orange sauce. Their fried rice was very good as a side. The chow mein was OK also not great but OK as a side. The chicken eggrolls were actually pretty good and I would definitely have them again. All in all they're starting to get it together here for a new business. I give this place a solid 3 1/2 stars. I will definitely try this place again. Enjoy.

Very dissatisfied with the serving they give you. Other Panda Express branches give more for the same price

Very disappointed with the amount of serving they give you. Other panda express branches serve more for the same price. I wish they would listen to the customers and do better. Does it really break their bank to give a little more?

The reviews were not lying. Do not bother wasting your time or money here! Ramona barely has any food places as it is never going back here again !!

About the the smallest portions of any panda express I have been to . And the Black Pepper Beef that you pay extra for is not good.

So I'm guilty of not making the trek into Ramona for the full experience, but I snagged one of…read moretheir blueberry pies for Christmas when I saw them sitting at Frazier Farms! They were sitting right next to the Julian pies and it kinda looked like a fight, like a battle of the mountain bakeries kind of fight. Needless to say, I grabbed both because everyone immediately glorifies the Julian pie so by including the Ramona pie, my objective was to introduce some low risk novelty for my Christmas get-together. I didn't have high hopes for Ramona's blueberry because I was suspicious of the huge bready looking crust roll in combination with the sticker on the front boasting "no seed oils". I'm not fluent in baking alchemy. I was raised on Costco pie (bleh). So, I thought this was going to be dry and overly sweet but much to my whole family's surprise, Ramona was the winner! My takeaway: Do not discriminate the chubby crust roll! Take it from me because I'm a savage that eats a pie right out of the fridge. The crust is like a shortbread cookie. It's almost on the Italian pastry spectrum. Very delicious. Very coffee friendly. The blueberry filling was also perfectly balanced. It wasn't too sweet and even with the crumble topping, I felt like I could eat it with yogurt in the morning and trick myself into calling it a wholesome breakfast. Now, I'm going to say this with a huge shield up... but it knocked the Julian apple pie way off the shelf for me.

Which I suppose was a good thing because everything was filthy. The small cups are now smaller than before. Which is fine, because there's still the extra large cups. This is the second time the flavors listed on their daily Instagram post were not available. Two of the three flavors I tried to get were extremely melted almost to milk. Last time I went the girl told me I'd have a $5 reward on my next visit. This time it wasn't offered or mentioned. And it was $20 for two small yogurts that melted within minutes. Not a great experience at all.

We did not tip when we paid because there was no toppings and the girl Was kinda rude. So we went back paid for a new yogurt with the toppings we wanted and the girl was even more rude aggresively shoved the spoons in the yogurt and had an irritated face. I could understand being rude if you were putting forth effort and working for your money and didn't receive a tip. But she literally just stood in one spot the entire time we were there and a simple question to her co worker would have let us know the toppings were almost done. This has become a go-to spot post-hike in the area and always is the treat I look forward to. On my most recent visit I had the BLT which had avocado, an egg, and chipotle mayo on brioche - hit the spot. Each sandwich comes on a different type of bread, which adds to the flavor profiles for each. Sometimes places just put it all on wheat or sourdough, but I like how the bread is paired to add to the sandwich. There's seating inside and out and always plenty of parking, though I can imagine on the weekend, it's more competitive. Although the spot has been around for a while, I just recently got introduced to it on enthusiastic recommendations from others, so I pass that enthusiastic recommendations onto you.

Maggie misses the fresh baked fruit bars and were soft and full of sweet fruit flavor.  Cashier told us they are only baked on Saturday now.  We touched the fruit bars and they were all hard from sitting around half the week.  It's sad as we loved stopping here after a trip to Julian for fresh baked treats and Doc Brown's Root Beer.  Looks like we will have to buy all our baked treats at one of the Julian bakeries like Apple Alley that bakes their pies every morning.  https://www.hungryones.com/2021/10/apple-alley-bakery/ Staff was nice and efficient.

The café was also excellent; the coffee beans were from Joshua Tree Coffee, and the chocolate chip cookie was amazing. Plenty of parking, lots of options, and a fun stop overall. A great addition to any Ramona day trip.
