Emma the manager was on the serving line tonight and man did she not want to be there. It was one of those things where you're laying in bed at night and your wife turns to you and out of the blue says " you know, I did not like that lady at the Panda Express" and you go "yeah, right??????" One of those things where you both felt it at the time but don't say anything until later and when someone does you're so happy someone else noticed. well the first thing i want to say is, i greatly appreciate all the smiles and the strong "welcome to panda" i received when entering. The entire team was amazing the way the worked together was phenomenal, the employee that sticks out the most would be the young women Sierra M. i saw how she smiled and greeted everyone with such warmness, she tended to me and every customer as if we were her own flesh and blood, i don't think i have ever been to a fast food establishment where the employees oddly made me feel like we where family. They have a 5-item combo for $25... You can pick 3 large "main dishes" (of course get one orange chicken, maybe a beef with broccoli and whatever is on their posters that month) and two "side dishes" (like chow mein, rice, or !! mixed veggies). I was so excited when PE came to LC! We lived a few blocks away from LCW so when this place opened up we were excited to have another choice for our Friday night order out dinner. Sometimes the lines were a bit long but that couldn't be helped as I got off work at 6 and didn't get there til prine dinner time. The week they opened they were especially busy and having a big family of course our order was big and they had just run out of some of the things we wanted and I was ok with that being a pretty laid back person. Anyway the manager or owner whoever he was came out and gave us a free stuffed bear for our wait which made the toddler happy. Now we've moved and the Northgate Mall PE gets our business and we have learned the wait there are even worse! read more

I don't go to Panda Express because I'm looking for authentic Chinese food. I go there because it's faster than the great food I get from Snappy Dragon. Having said that, the food here is only good when it's fresh. I went in today just before 4p and half of their entrees were gone or dried out. I find myself growing increasingly disappointed with this particular PE for their lack of fresh food. Will I keep going? Most likely, but only because I keep hoping there will be yumminess waiting for me when I walk in. read more

I've tried another location of Panda Express, and it was horrible. I saw this location, and decided to give Panda Express another try. I realize this is fast food, but this was the worst. To me, it tasted like nothing. It was very bland with no flavor at all. If I'm going to be ingesting all that sodium and grease, I at least want some flavor. There was a sign that said no MSG, but in my opinion, it needed it desperatly! This place is right up there with the Chinese food at the Safeway deli; the worst Chinese fast food in the world. Next time I am in Lake City, and I want to splurge on fast food, I will just get a burger at Dick's. read more

Really good ave fresh food. If something is sitting to looking they will make it fresh. I dont mins the wait when its fresh how ever around 8:30- 9 I noticed they will hesitate to make fresh food because its close to service and I noticed last week people walking out because there want enough items to choose from because they looked dried out. Over all between the opening to early evening no complaints what so ever. My kids are in love with the kids meal and I am to prices are awesome read more

I viewed the employees place food from another customer's plate back into a dish to serve other customers. I have food allergies and to watch this was horrifying. I asked the employee was this typical practice and I was not acknowledged at all. I asked for a manager and she still ignored me. I asked another server who provided me the managers name. Both my son and I had orange chicken with white rice there on 30 August at 9pm. We both got food poisoning (a first for me). My daughter ate with us but had a different meal and was fine. The food poisoning lasted until Monday. I always thought it wrong that they dump the remaining food that has been sitting in the open on display on top of the freshly cooked food. We regularly eat at this location 3 times a week for the past year and a half but never again. Eating out should not be like playing russian roulette. Why can't you give 0 stars? read more

The food tastes like rubber and had no flavour, and way too greasy. They didn't even ask me if I wanted anything else like sides or even a drink. They wouldn't even bother to put napkins or chopsticks in the bag without me asking them. I've frequented this location many times. It's close to home, on my way home from work, and parking is super convenient. But tonight was the last night I will ever step foot in there ever again. The manager has always been a little abrasive, rude even at times. But tonight his attitude and actions were inconceivable. I wandered in about 7 pm, exhausted from work and school and all I wanted was orange chicken. First thing I notice is the smell of urine, and immediately noticed the homeless lady sitting at a table. I thought to myself, wow that is nice of the manager to let her come in from the cold. As I waited patiently for my food she started to get rowdy, and it became obvious she wasn't completely there. But then she started yelling at this poor boy, maybe around 8 years old saying he's a worm and little bi**h*ss worm and other things I won't even bother to type out. I turned around shocked and then she decided to turn her insults to me. N***** this. N***** b***h this. And all this time, the manager ignored her, didn't ask her to be quiet, didn't ask her to leave. I'm not one to talk down on others, I donate and volunteer frequently to many organizations helping those who are less fortunate. But the fact that he allowed her to speak to minors like that, is inexcusable, disgusting and not what an 8 year old should ever hear. If this is how Panda Express treats their customers, I don't think they deserve our business. read more

The server was very polite (asked me how I was), smiled, and overall had really good customer service. Her name was Senyan (I hope) and she always has a smile when I go into Panda Express. The person in front of me was very rude and her demeanor never changed and she just continued to serve him. Personally, I would have responded with the same amount of rudeness but she didn't; she was still very sweet. I really do enjoy going there because of the customer service. read more

I love the food here. It's quick, cheap, and filling. The staff is usually accommodating, except for last night. My brother was ordering food and the person "helping" him was snappy and rushing him to order. When it came time to pay, she had trouble swiping his card and said it won't work and motions to hand him back his card. I stepped in and asked can she just type in the numbers. I love me some Panda Express. This location is good in that it has iced tea, which the Northgate location does not. However, the location on Lake City Way is a bit scuzzy and there isn't nearly as much turnover of the food here as the Northgate location. This is counterbalanced by the combo being 50 cents cheaper here - $5.75 vs. $6.25 at Northgate. read more

I am using Yelp because Panda's website feedback form does not work and their customer service number is not staffed. I bought a take out plate with two entrees today. The entree of honey walnut prawns consisted of seven small shrimp. Period. No walnuts. No sauce. This was even a premium entree for which I had to pay an additional $1.25! The entrée of honey sesame chicken consisted of a scoop of food that did not even fill the compartment. This place has gone downhill. read more

On April 6, 2013, I was at Store #1650 from approximately 7:32 pm when I ordered my food until about 8:20 pm. After I ate the sweet fire chicken breast that was on top of the fried rice in a panda bowl, I discovered that the fried rice was dry, hard and crunchy. When I asked the server (a black lady last part of her first name ends with ONA, I couldn't read the first part of her name tag), she told me she wasn't the one that had served it to me. I told her I knew that and that there was a fresh tray of rice out on display, so I thought she could replace the rice. She proceeded to dump my rice out in the trash can and then (horror!) refilled the used bowl with fresh rice. She kept using the serving spoon on the fresh rice and repeatedly smacked the dirty bowl with the serving spoon each and every time she placed fresh rice in the used bowl. When she was done, I told her that I was afraid that she had cross-contaminated the rice and the spoon by doing this and she told me that nothing was contaminated because she threw away my used fork. The customer in line behind me (I don't know his name or who he was) then apologized repeatedly to ---ona for my actions and when he was done paying for his items and had his bag in his hand, he came over to the table I was sitting at with my mother and started harassing me and using profanity in a threatening manner. None of the other Panda employees or customers tried to intervene in any way. After he finally left the restaurant, -----ona told him to have a nice day. She did not tell any other customers to have a nice day while we were in there. I felt so threatened by his actions, that when I got home, I filed a police report with the Seattle Police Department. I feel ---ona was encouraging his poor behavior and everyone I have told this story to has since told me that they would've reacted in the same way I did. read more

Panda Express is the McDonalds of Chinese food: bland and cheap food served on paper or plastic by part time high school students working at minimum wage, cooked according to strict Corporate standards, here using lots of cheap carbohydrates served with a minimum of protein and token, over cooked vegetables hidden by greasy flour-ladened gravy, unflavored compared to quality Asian cooking traditions at prices high compared to real Chinese restaurants. It's only redeeming value is that you get food fast, sit on a hard chair at a plastic painted table for the few minutes you have for lunch. The sad fact is that this is the trend for most restaurants. If you want a good Asian meal, go across the street to the Thai or newly opened Vietnamese restaurants where you will be served much better food by friendly adults interested in providing you with a satisfactory meal and your continued business. Panda Express is only interested in providing you with an excuse for a meal to be eaten as quickly as possible. read more
