Stopped by here with my dad to pick up dinner just because I felt like some Panda despite being in Asian food central. Severely disappointed even though I know it's fast food. 1) I got my typical order of string bean chicken breast with orange chicken and mixed half fried rice and half chow mein. Bonus points here for having both white rice and brown rice fried rice. 2) When my non-meat eating dad ordered, he asked for the honey walnut shrimp as his first item for a 2-item combo. The Chinese woman gave him one scoop into his box and then stared at his order as my dad tried to figure out what else to get. Slowly but surely, she kept removing a shrimp from his plate. One after another. I'm pretty sure it would've gone down to 1 shrimp only if my dad hadn't asked for his second item in time. With the second item, she gave him half a scoop. I used to go to this one a lot, but never got a chance to write about it until now. It's an okay Panda Express from the chain, clean, single building restaurant with drive through and clean bathrooms. No free samples, at least I was never offered any, the food is cooked often (if something sits and gets cold they will make a new batch for you and are honest about that). Orange chicken is the best, fried rice is also good, the fried noodles (chou mien or something like that) were not to my liking. Friend shrimp is good, but it's + $1.00 more on top of the usual entree fee. I'm not a big Asian food fan but I do love Panda Express! Sometimes I get over-charged and a few times they didn't accept coupons, so I had to -1 star for that. Worst was the broccoli chicken, you need a nutcracker to crew the broccoli. I work in a restaurant myself. And the truth is, you can't ever satisfy a guest 100% and that's okay but you know what? It's like that where ever you go! Listen, we're human, we're not perfect! And at times you can't hold the restaurant at fault because of what your likes and dislikes are. If I can give this Panda Express a zero I would! Let me just say that I used to work for Panda Express for years and I have never treated customers the way they treated me. I order through the drive thru and at the window I told them that I forgot to add something and the girl told me I couldn't add anything... like what!!!!!! So I went in and tried to order it. I've only been to this location twice. The first time I ended up getting sick, whether it be the flu or food poisoning from them or possibly somewhere else but it's the last thing I ate before vomiting so you might understand the fear of trying their restaurant again. Tonight I tried it again though and I got the big plate with honey walnut shrimp, broccoli beef, and orange chicken. I'm not sure if it's normal that the honey walnut shrimp comes in its own container but it seemed kind of small. My broccoli beef was good, but it did have a big stump from the broccoli head in it. So I want a simple lunch and still end up at Panda Express. Look what I ordered and pretty darn disappointed. Don't get me wrong. Panda Express fast food is not cheap and it's not bad. Went here tonight to grab dinner for the family. I had the misfortune of dealing with the most unprofessional and disrespectful store manager EVER. Or at least he claimed to be the store manager, Pedro Villansenor. He was in such a rush that he didn't even listen to my order and kept rushing me. I asked him kindly to slow down and calm down. Instead he decides to ignore my request and argues with me. Then he threatens me that they have video cameras recording me. It's always about the Gourmet Quality of Food that separates Panda Express from other Asian Food establishments. However, that doesn't mean that Panda Express still isn't a Fast Food joint like McDonalds or Burger King. This location provides Drive Thru and good indoor serving. Indoor Seating is plentiful, and there is outdoor seating which is a plus for this location. It's near a shopping area and a park which is awesome if after eating you want to take a walk to help burn off the calories from lunch or dinner. The service is great, and the staff is very friendly. Parking can also be very limited because of the other establishments in the area so expect that aspect to be a hassle. read more
