Ambiance 5/5 Service 5/5 Food 3/5 Nothing was impressive with the food. However the steamed sea bass was 5/5. All other fish was just average. Price for value is 3/5. I love the new parking structure vs before the remodel The inside is wide tall ceiling and clean and beautiful. The food did not impress me today. Maybe I just have high expectations. Portions are also not like tradition Chinese restaurant. I just wanted to see if they r good after the renovations.

The ladies at the reception area were incredibly kind. Shoutout to Pilar, who took my call and extended my reservation past the 15 minute grace period because traffic was extremely congested due to road closures. She was so reassuring that it took the stress out of getting there. The parking structure adjacent to the restaurant is meant for the restaurant customers, and Panda Inn validates parking. The interior looks so elegant. It looks like a place fit for formal celebrations. High ceilings, lots of space between tables, a bar - it all screamed high-end. Which it was. Our Thai server was delightful. She offered her recommendations, most of which we took. The sweet and sour pork is usually the dish by which we gauge a Chinese restaurant's authenticity and competence, and theirs was sublime. Crispy but covered in that rich, tangy sauce. The beef fried rice was as expected and so were the lobster wontons (very small portion). We ordered the lobster with crispy noodles and found it overly salty so we had to send it back to the kitchen. Thankfully, they took it off our bill. The hot and sour soup was satisfying. We were stuffed! Would we go back? Hell yeah. I don't know how we can eat at Panda Express after having had such a great meal here.

I came for dinner on a weekday and we were seated right away. Service was great! I ordered a king salmon carpaccio, sweet and sour pork, hot and sour soup, upside down crispy noodles, and bok choy & mushrooms. The king salmon carpaccio was fresh and delicious. My favorite dishes of the night were the upside down crispy noodles and the sweet and sour pork. The upside crispy noodles were delicious but doesn't stay crispy for long because of the sauce that it sits in so if you like it crispy you might want to eat it fast. I love sweet and sour pork and it definitely hit the spot. The hot and sour soup was my sister's favorite. It wasn't too sour. The bok choy and mushroom were more on the bland side.

There are few opportunities to experience the origins of a global phenomenon in the unique way that Panda Inn does. I mean, you could always visit the McDonald's museum in San Bernardino or the Inn-N-Out museum in Baldwin Park. But most of these fast food places share pretty much the same menu experience wherever you go. Which is pretty much the goal of the industry. But this is what makes the big difference with Panda Inn. Yes, it is obviously much more expensive to dine here, but you really do get a completely different menu from Panda Express. Even the items that spawned from here are completely elevated. The service is top notch and the renovations make this a beautiful space. Is it the best Chinese restaurant I've eaten at? No. Not even close. But it is one of the experiences that I will remember for a very long time with much fondness and might soon return to share it with others.

Came here with a large group for a bday celebration. We were able to get a room which was some nice privacy to have. The service was so great. I wish I got the name of our server but I just recall he had braces. His service was on point! Food wise I would say it was a hit or miss with mostly okay. Brisket 10/10: this dish was prob the favorite of the night. It was so tender and melted off the bone. The flavor was also great and it came with Brussel sprouts. Wontons 6/10: the skin wasn't too thick which was nice but the filling was wayy too salty. The sauce was flavorful tho! Walnut shrimp 7/10: pretty good and not too battery. Shrimp was fresh. stir fried beef cubes 6/10: usually this is one of my fave dishes at restaurants but it just tasted a bit weird here. It had a stale ish taste? Like the beef was frozen prior. The sauce was also too salty. Hot and sour soup 9/10: delicious! Perfect amt of sour and hot. Orange chicken 6/10: too much batter and barely any chicken. Ngl the orange chicken at Panda Express is a bit better lol. Lobster stir fried noodles 5/10. The noodles came crispy which was great but the lobster was definitely frozen prior. It was not fresh. Overall I'm not sure if I'd return for the food but the ambiance and service was great!!

If you didn't know, Panda Inn is the high end version of Panda Express. They recently renovated this location, so my group was excited to check out. First off, I have to say that I was SO impressed with the ambiance--it was way nicer than I expected. It's a super beautiful space. The vibes make it a great spot for a date night or a fancy celebration (which I saw multiple parties doing, from a retirement party to what looked like to be a more informal wedding party). It was packed here, so I highly recommend making a reservation if you can. We had one and still ended up waiting about 15-20 minutes to be seated. Service was extremely attentive and friendly. Food wise, I would say that it was okay. Everything was enjoyable but I'd say that I was expecting more, and that was with me coming in with expectations of it being Americanized Asian food. Our party of 4 ordered the orange chicken, beef chow fun, honey walnut shrimp, spicy eggplant tofu, and a sushi roll. My favorite item was probably the beef chow fun. Overall, this was a cool spot to check out. I don't know if I'd necessarily come back, but I wouldn't be opposed to it either.

I've always loved Chinese food, and for years, Panda Express was one of my go-to spots. But as I've tried more authentic and elevated Chinese restaurants over time, my standards have definitely changed. A couple of weeks ago, I came across a video on social media saying that Panda Inn is the restaurant Panda Express was inspired by, but on a much higher level. Naturally, I had to see for myself. My family and I went all in and ordered a little bit of everything because we wanted to try as much as we possibly could. We had the Beef Fried Rice, Chicken Lo Mein, Pork Pot Stickers, Orange Chicken, Sweet & Sour Pork, and Homestyle Braised Pork Belly. Everything was delicious, but the Beef Fried Rice and Sweet & Sour Pork were the standouts for me. The fried rice was full of flavor, and the Sweet & Sour Pork had the perfect texture: crispy on the outside, yet soft and tender on the inside. The restaurant itself is just as impressive as the food. It's beautiful inside and out, with a spacious layout that can accommodate both small and large groups. Since most of the dishes are meant to be shared, they have rotating center tables that make it easy for everyone to try different items without constantly passing plates around. There's also a nice bar area, along with a sushi bar section. Overall, Panda Inn absolutely lived up to the hype. After this experience, I honestly don't know if I can go back to Panda Express the same way. This spot is definitely being added to my list of favorites.

This place absolutely lived up to the hype. The food was exquisite. This is hands down my new favorite Chinese-American food. You could tell the food was made fresh because everything had that perfect "crunch" to the breading. This was a weekly cheat meal so we went straight for flavor. The honey walnut shrimp was literally made to perfection. Crispy batter with a crunch. Giant juicy shrimp. Caramelized honey shards on certain shrimp. Walnuts fresh and super sweet. They REALLY sauce it up, so the shrimp at the bottom are in a pool of mayo-like honey sauce. My girl liked those ones haha I stuck to the top ones. The Panda beef was outrageous. Audible crunch with every bite. Salty and umami flavors exploded from the fried shell and were immediately combined with the sweet orange glaze. Definitely some MSG magic going on. I'm craving it just writing about it. Pork belly and fermented veggies rice had incredible depth to it. Not "earthy," but substantial notes of herb and REAL Chinese seasoning. This dishes flavor profile actually transcended the "Chinese-American" template and kicked it up into "authentic regional Chinese cuisine" territory Cucumber salad was great but huge cucumber slices. Not a bad thing, just never experienced that. Big mouth to the rescue. Truffle seaweed and oyster mushroom salad was super good. Very good and, yet again, REAL ingredients. The seaweed was thick and from the ocean. Not that neon green sugary stuff you can buy from literally any grocery store. Green tea lychee drink was perfectly mellow. Idk how, but they balanced it out to the point where I didn't guzzle it down like soda. It was literally "sipping quality." Massive and beautiful restaurant. Feels like you are walking into a palace. Great free parking next door. Super high ceilings with modern ambiance. I guess having billionaire Panda Express behind you comes in handy! The service was top tier. Waiter took our drink order and waitress took our food. Checked on throughout. Be ready to spend over $100 for 2 people if you really want to experience this place. It's worth it!

This place 10000% hits the spot. I'm so happy I finally got to give this place a try. I've been here three times since and everytime I'm left feeling completely satisfied with my order. The space is beautiful. There are also things on the menu that you can only get at this specific location. Some of my favorites included the chargrilled beef short ribs, braised pork belly, and the lo-mein. You also can't go wrong with the walnut shrimp and the panda beef here. You'll wrap up your evening with their complementary white chocolate dipped fortune cookies which is such a great way to wrap up the evening. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!

The revamped Panda Inn is a must try and is quickly turning in to a regular stop for us. Whether you're looking for a sit down gourmet meal or a fun time chatting with the staff at the bar, Panda Inn doesn't disappoint. For our most recent meal we sat at the bar and had an amazing dining and social experience. The bar tenders Trish & Taj were attentive and friendly and really added to the evening. We ended up doing mostly appetizers and sushi. Taj made great recommendations and even spoke to the Sushi chef's and prepared me multiple Omakase rounds for me. Towards the end of the meal one of the sushi chef's even came out and chatted with us. All sushi 5/5 Wagyu chowfun 5/5 Hamachi Tacos 4/5. A little too busy for me but my wife was obsessed. Lychi Martini 5/5 Wagyu Tataki 5/5 Service & Staff 5/5 We can't wait to go back

We had reservations through open table even though they no showed me. It was fixed after contacting open table. We were seated promptly in their beautiful dining area. The service was excellent and efficient. The food was definitely the star of the show. Everyone agreed everything we ordered was phenomenal. We each ordered a different entree and we were all able to share them and still take home leftovers! The beef short ribs were fall off the bone amazing. The A5 Wagyu Carpaccio was incredible we should have each ordered our own. You must try it! I loved the 3 cup chicken entree. It was delicious. I can't wait to go back!

Amazing! How did I not know of this place sooner? The place is very pretty and looks grand. Service is very detailed and feels like a higher end restaurant. The food is authentic and very tasty. When they aren't too busy most meat dishes can be subbed with tofu and made vegetarian. The mapo tofu and honey walnut tofu was soooo good. I also have so much nostalgia for a container the rice came in and chocolate dipped fortune cookies. They don't automatically give chopsticks but they are available. The lychee green tea is also divine! I'd definitely be back. They have nice outdoor sitting and are good for large parties.

Came for lunch on a Friday. They have a parking structure in the back and the restaurant will validate up to 3H or parking! The place is huge is beautiful. They have nice comfortable seating and lots of lighting. We were seated right away as well! The only grievance is that they don't bother giving you the lunch menu for lunch. You apparently have to ask for it. It kinda irked me but I guess I know for next time. The food we ordered was decent. We got a dungeoness crab salad, upside down noodles, and the panda special for protein. Flavors and presentation were wonderful. I was a little disappointed w my cocktail. The water lily tasted like artificial candy medicine. My partner got the Whisky Jasmine and Honey and was content w it. It was very spirit forward but the jasmine comes through which was nice. Maybe we'll try again some day...

Are small dogs allowed in outdoor area?

I've seen dogs outside, so it must okay.

Panda Inn was a weekly tradition from my childhood. I'd love to go back, but I don't see the hot braised shrimp! Did you rename it?

It's in the same address as the restaurant you pull in and drive to the back it is a parking structure

When is the Brunch coming back?

That's the question all the old regulars ask. And still no answer as of last week

Do you have gluten free offerings?

No, nothing at all. I went on 2/24 and waitress said, they don't have any options. Not even Gluten free soy sauce. We had to leave and not eat there, which was disappointing.

Do you have any gluten free dishes?

No nothing. We had to leave.

Does this location use artificial colors and ingredients like the fast food chain or is the food more natural and fresh? Are non traditional low quality seed oils used?

    Pretty stealthy badmouth job!

    Is Sunday brunch back?

We were there on a Sunday. No brunch. I doubt they will do that again, unless, sales start to dip!

    When will you reopen?

Hello! We are still in the construction process. We will keep everyone updated on IG or on our Panda Inn app. Thank you!

    Are you open Christmas Eve?

Are you guys open Christmas Day?

Is brunch still available at Panda Inn on weekends?

Hi Fatima, our Sunday brunch buffet is not currently being offered.

I'd like to know from the company which dishes are confirmed vegan?

None of our dishes are confirmed vegan at the moment.

Are they part of the Panda Express chain?

Hi Laura, Panda Inn and Panda Express are both owned by the parent company Panda Restaurant Group. Panda Inn locations are sit down Chinese food restaurants, while Panda Express is fast food service.

Is it recommended to make a reservation for party of 4 for Sunday brunch? Thanks.

Yes, unless you want to wait awhile.

    Do they have lunch specials?

Yes they do, along with happy hour drink and food specials. And their Sunday brunch is fantastic with bottomless Mai Tai’s and Mimosa’s.

Unfortunately, it's nothing like Joy. Parking wasn't too easy on a weekday afternoon. We had to park across the street on a residential street. But, hey, parking at Joy is a pain too. Maybe that's a good sign. We walked in. No line (unlike Joy). But the layout and ordering system is very much like Joy. They even have the cooler with drinks to the right when you walk in the door. Some of the menu items sounded similar to Joy, so we were pretty excited to give them a try. I went for the vegan tofu over rice and a side cucumber/tofu salad. My wife ordered the pork belly over rice and the chicken wings. We both also got a black cold-brew coffee. The total: $68.51. Oof. I think Joy is cheaper. Food came out quickly, just like Joy. The cucumber salad had baked tofu in it (rather than tofu skin), and the cucumbers were just chopped up into tiny pieces, rather than smashed, which is the way I prefer it. While there was supposed to be chili-crisp oil on it, it was actually pretty bland. Meh. Next for me came the (vegan) tofu over rice. It included some pickled vegetables, which kind overpowered the dish. It was a strange choice. I've had pickled vegetables with Chinese food before (my wife is from Hong Kong), but these kind of overpowered the dish. It also included some carrots, which I think were also pickled, giving the dish a sort of Vietnamese vibe, but not in a good way. It was pretty much all I could taste. Adding a little chili oil helped balance the flavors a bit, but not much. As a pescatarian, I couldn't try my wife's dish. But it was basically the same as mine, and she was just as underwhelmed. She said the chicken wings were the best part of her meal, but they certainly weren't amazing. In conclusion, the chicken wings were OK and the cold-brew coffee was delicious. I think this place is mostly catering to average white hipsters who come for the vibe, rather than people looking for authentic Taiwanese street food. I really wanted to like this place, because it does have a cool vibe, and everyone working there seems nice. But unlike Joy, this meal just made me sad.

The service was also great. The staff was friendly and kept my glass of water full.

Bowls of steamed rice cost $2.50, and we each got one. Portions are generously large and worth the cost; we took leftovers home. The tea offered to us tasted good. The slippery shrimp had a nice crisp with a pleasant blend of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors. There's a slight spice from the red chili that felt mild on my tongue. This was our first time trying out the dish, and we liked it the most. The orange chicken tasted solid, and it had a slightly crispy texture. For some reason, the rice had an aftertaste I wasn't familiar with, but it was still fresh. There was a fortune cookie at the end of our meal. I'd come back for the slippery shrimp and order something other than the orange chicken. The restaurant opened at 11:30 am, and we were one of the first customers to dine in. The ambience was quiet and relaxed, but they got busier as many more people arrived. Service was good as the staff packed our leftovers in containers for us. Our server asked us where we were from as he was used to seeing regulars during the time we visited. Before we exited, we took some time to see framed photos of celebrities who visited Yang Chow before, including Conan O'Brien and Magic Johnson.

Perfect family dim sum experience for us…read more We took out my parents and in-laws for dim sum: my parents' very first time ever. We did wait about an hour, but honestly I didn't mind at all because it gave us a chance to relax, talk, and catch up as a family. Once we were seated, my parents were immediately impressed with the decor: elegant and cultural without feeling overly modern or cold. And can we talk about the tea kettles? They looked like literal pieces of art being poured at the table. Ordering was super easy with the QR code system, so my husband handled the whole spread: shumai dumplings, chicken feet, sesame balls, and more. Everything came out hot, fresh, and beautifully plated. The ENTIRE table agreed on one thing: the chili oil condiment deserves to be sold in bottles to take home. It was that good. Smoky, just the right amount of spicy, and addictive. Now for the real test: my in-laws. They've been to *many* dim sum places and are not easily impressed. They declared this place to have the best chicken feet that they've ever had: meat easily sucked off the bone, melt-in-your-mouth tender, and perfectly seasoned. High praise coming from dim sum veterans. Most importantly, my parents' first dim sum experience couldn't have been better. They loved everything from the ambiance to the food to the overall experience. My husband and I want to come back to explore more of the menu because there's clearly so much more to try

This location is pretty spacious and even has a second floor for dining. Though we were seated inside, a lot of people were coming in and out for take out. They have a QR code to scan the menu and send your order to the kitchen. Unfortunately, they forgot our order of shumai. We had already finished eating before it even came. The waitress was kind but apparently had to bring the receipt back because the staff was claiming we already received it.

The service is consistently great... attentive, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. Fair warning for anyone new to Sichuan cuisine, the dominant flavor is "spicy". That said, the dishes are not just about heat... they're layered, aromatic, and incredibly well-balanced. Every dish I've tried has been outstanding, both in flavor and presentation. If you're a fan of bold, authentic flavors and reliable service, this spot is definitely worth visiting. Tip - If you're new to the cuisine, I strongly recommend getting everything MILD spicy. I've been told by some of my colleagues that MILD spicy is still pretty spicy, so be warned. With that said, strongly recommend the dishes below. Lamb with Cumin 11/10 - My favorite dish here by far. Aromatic, flavorful, and the spices are just on point. Dan Dan Noodles 9/10 - Solid and consistently good. The sauce is properly seasoned and truly compliments the perfectly cooked noodles. Shredded Cabbage with Pork 9/10 - Not to be confused with twice cooked pork. This dish is so simple and bland looking, but it's packed with flavor... so good! Garlic Pork Belly 8/10 - This is a cold dish. The meat was perfectly cooked and properly coated in chili oil. Solid and consistently good. Kung Pao Chicken 8/10 - In my opinion, it's an elevated Kung Pao Chicken. Solid and consistently good.

I like coming here because it is not usually very crowded, and it is possible that it's because the pricing of the food is usually on the higher end. That being said, the food is reasonably good. The seaweed tofu salad has a nice kick to it. The black pepper beef was cooked well and the seasoning was not overwhelming. The crab fried rice tasted good, but the flavor of the crab was not as prominent. The dumpling was solid, but certainly overpriced for five pieces. The Dan Mein with chicken was a solid dish, but probably could get similar dish at the Chinese restaurant in San Gabriel Valley. Parking is easy, on the street or in the parking lot behind the restaurant. You can also park in the parking lot behind the Jamba Juice, which is located south of the Cordova Street. The servers were excellent, very attentive, extremely friendly, and definitely helpful. Would definitely come back, but knowing that it is on the expensive side. For seven dishes, pretty standard ones, it was approximately $150 after including tax and tip. The ambience was definitely immaculate, very clean restaurant, and the food was pretty solid.
