    5. Hot and Sour Soup
    Kerlin M.

I ordered sesame chicken, hot and sour soup, and fried wontons. - sesame chicken was okay, nothing out of this world. - hot and sour soup tasted like nothing, probably had been sitting their restaurant for a while - fried wontons weren't crunchy, extremely bland. Not worth $7 Don't come here lol it's not worth your money

    Bug/roach

What year is this? Ive been eating here for a while and its been one of my favorite take out chinese restaurants until today. See the pictures.... there was a roach in my food. Im disgusted beyond words.

This was disgusting. I just ordered sweet&sour chicken. And I know what chicken tastes like. This was not chicken. And if it was.. it had to be expired. I hope i dont get sick. I am truly disgusted right now.

Excellent food! Received a large order from my daughters coworker that used to live in flushing , now lives in California, and this was his go to place. He ordered 2 orders general tso chicken that came with chicken fried rice, wonton soup, egg rolls which were delicious, chicken lo mein, beef mei fun and it was all so good. I have a hard time finding goo quality plus quantity in flushing/bayside area. Look no further. This is the my new spot!

Hunan beef and moo shu house special, super good and fresh for a takeout Chinese place.

They really need to post better pictures of their food! Very good for a takeout Chinese restaurant. Not too salty, meat and seafood is fresh and tender, vegetables are not overcooked, still crisp. Flavors are solid, not too greasy. Been in business for over 10 years for a reason. This is the Hunan beef and Moo Shu house special, came with chicken, shrimp and pork.

This spot has been my hood Chinese joint since maybe 2005. Not sure what people are expecting from a hood Chinese joint - the food is pretty good and of course it's going to be greasy if you order fried food. This place makes much better food than the other Chinese takeout spot on 162nd. I've not experienced any mishaps with hygiene or rude delivery guys - I typically order my food and pick it up myself. I usually order beef and broccoli with white or brown rice, and sesame chicken with pork fried rice. The food has always been fresh, full of vegetables (with actual flavor and bite), and ready on time. These come with an egg roll. They don't include sauces but you can grab them yourself at the counter. Their COVID-19 setup is pretty solid - a thick plastic sheet separates the counter from the customer, and they also sell boxes of face masks. You're not allowed in without a face mask, and only 3 customers are allowed in at a time. Not sure if they enforce this, but it's nice to see signs up and a bottle of hand sanitizer and disinfectant spray. Running a restaurant - especially a takeout restaurant - is especially difficult. I have immense respect for immigrants who do so. I understand the struggle and the hustle! People don't realize how essential these businesses (including bodegas) are for small neighborhoods until they're gone.

Thanks for putting twist tie in my chicken lo mein! Gross..... Plus the delivery guy wanted to leave our food on the streets because he was too lazy to come upstairs... Yet he wanted more tip WTF???!!!!

As you can see the roach!! Sick

I've been going to panda king for more then 5 years. We never had any complaints, it's an average local neighborhood Chinese spot. My 7 years old daughter wanted sesame chicken so we ordered that & there was a bloody cockroach in there!!! Yuck!! Such a shame

Terrible food. need change the chef.bad tase.this is my time order and last time order too. Never come back.poor food.

I asked for "pork" fried rice. That was all the pork in the fried rice. Prices up and quality down.
    Sung K.

This is the second worst chinese take out place ive ever been to. I've their loyal customer for the past 7+ years. The prices has gone up twice within a year or so while the food quality has gone down significantly not to mention being stinge with sauce and meat quantity... Ive also posted a picture of their so-called "pork" fried rice that had 2 small pieces of pork in it

In my order, they forgot to remove the plastic before breading and frying it

The food is cheap and good, under 10$ like 90% of the time. Service? Fine the guy isn't rude but isn't nice he's just tryna get your order.

Luckily, there was only a short wait for our party of two at around 12pm...but I suspect the wait can be much longer later in the afternoon or during peak dinner times. Once your number is called, you go up some stairs to the eating/tabled area. There are tables and chairs for 2, 4 and more guests throughout the large space. The pace of the restaurant is very fast...as soon as you are seated, you are given tea and your waiter comes over right away to take any order you are ready to give. Its helpful to ask for a menu while you are waiting for a table so you know what to order when asked. We had some soup dumplings as well as a (large) soup. Everything was very good and out in about 15 minutes...very fast. The soup dumplings were great...but as expected are filled with piping hot broth so be careful when eating. They have some other appetizers and dishes available. There are also some drink options including cold teas, soft drinks and beer. Overall a great experience...despite visiting on a busy Saturday, we were in and out in about 40-45 minutes. Street parking can be tough in the area but there are a few garages around...one of the more reasonable options is the garage at the Skyview shops which currently charge about $6 for up to three (3) hours and is a short 5 minute walk away.

Would you like to be transported back in time to ancient china?…read more How about just testing your spice tolerance to see if you can hang with the best? Well, if you want all of that, PLUS hot pot, look no further - this is the place to be! There is a reason this is one of the highest recommend spots to visit when you're in Flushing. First off, entrance? SO UNASSUMING. It's like, the tiniest door, with no real obvious signage. Once you go through, you basically feel like you're in one of the ancient alleys of China - decor is 1000% great. We had a larger party of 7, and they were luckily able to accommodate us since we lined up a few minutes before opening on a Friday. We actually got IMO the best seats in the house - towards the back, elevated up on some steps, a mini pavilion essentially. But enough about the decor.. how was the food? Well.. GREAT! And honestly, for NYC prices, not too expensive (but a bit pricy for flushing I guess). The quality was top notch (highly recommend trying the mala quail eggs) and the spice of the broth was GREAT! We went with medium since our server (amazing btw, thank you Sean / Shawn / Shaun??) said that he can't even go near hot, it burns his eyes. Medium was just perfect - felt great eating it with some sweats, regretted it the day after, which means I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Meats were good quality, veggies were yummy. I wish the shrimp paste had more in terms of quantity, we barely had seven bites for each of us, but it was really good. Also, pro tip, probably don't order Napa Cabbage, a lot of their other dishes will sit on top of a whole leaf, so you'll probably get enough from that unless you want to consume half a head. Sauce bar is $2 a person - which might be shocking for some to know they charge it, but it's pretty much the norm at a higher end hot pot place in big cities. At least they don't charge $6-$8 like some places and only throw in a few apps/desserts to try to justify it. Overall, really loved this place, and would definitely go back.

It's very spicy with the signature Sichuan peppercorn, so if you're not into numb spicy, considered yourselves warned. We specifically loved the pig trotters. I've never had them like that before anywhere, so it's definitely a chefs special. They were made crispy on the outside but soft and flavorful on the inside. Highly recommend. All the other dishes were also fantastic. Portions are also great, we ended up taking lots home. They gave us free dessert jellies which is also a classic Sichuan dessert; they also had a deal where you get free drinks if you order a certain amount of food, so we got two free drinks. I would have given a five star if not for the super long wait. Granted we did go for Christmas Day dinner. We saw them having to turn away lots of customers. They are super popular. Main issue is there isn't a number system, so getting a table felt a bit random; we considered ourselves lucky. Our servers were very friendly and nice. They told us it would be a bit of a wait, but this was the longest I've ever waited for food: 45 min before the first dish was served. We ordered 5 dishes with rice (forgot to take pictures of two of them). I wasn't told one of the dishes I ordered wasn't available until 30 min after I placed my order. But when the food did come, they all can't together so we didn't have to keep waiting. The servers were also attentive after despite how busy and clearly overwhelmed they were, which was really nice. In conclusion, great food with good portions for spice lovers. Very nice servers and try not to go on Christmas Day since it can get really busy.

The environment is clean, and staff was welcoming when I dined here on a Friday evening with other Yelp Elites. The restaurant filled up with people very quickly. I cannot remember having better Northeastern Chinese food anywhere. The food came with an amazing presentation, taste, freshness and quality. I am a huge fan of the Cumin Flounder, which is crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It is the best flounder that I have ever tasted in my life! The Beef Tenderloin in Brown Sauce is to die for. I loved the Minted Salted Egg Yolk and Sliced Pumpkin so much that I will come back here to order it for Thanksgiving dinner. If you can handle the spice, go for the Fried Squid Head with Spicy Peppery Sauce. It was the table favorite because most of us prefer the head or tentacles of calamari to the rings. The Molten Sugar-Crusted Yams and Dates were phenomenal. It came with a bowl of water on the side to remove stickiness from the serving spoon between helpings. We also feasted on the Sautéed Shredded Beef with Spicy Pepper, Cumin Lamb, Sliced Potatoes with Truffles and Salt and Pepper Shrimp. The pickled salad certainly tickled my fancy. TIP: Eat everything with chopsticks for portion control. Thank you Andie for putting this all together, and the birthday cake that Mike bought for you was a decadent surprise because it was so chocolatey and moist.
