    ChongQing Shredded Chicken Cold Noodles

Tried the fried chicken wings this time and although a bit pricey it was yummy! And the Chongqin cold noodle tasted like 酸辣粉 which is spicy and sour noodles, it wasn't what I was expecting but still very good. I think all dishes are good here honestly and you won't have to worry about getting something that's terrible here :)

Ramen was nice and spicy and tasted really good. Portion is also solid for the price.

This place is really yummy. I tried it for the first time on a Sunday around 5 pm so I was able to be seated right away. The food tasted so fresh, and I definitely underestimated their spice level. However, it still tasted great. I also want to recommend their spicy wontons, they're jam packed with pork and sooo savory.

Such a comforting meal on a chilly day! My husband and I came here on a weekend late afternoon during the U District fair for a bite to eat. Service was friendly and we were seated quickly. You order off the QR code on the table. We got the dumplings in chili oil and I got the braised beef noodle soup which tasted soooo good! The meat was so tender and the broth was warming and had great flavor. My husband also got a noodle dish but he said mine was better lol. Overall, would definitely come back for another bowl of noodles.

A total lifesaver after starving all day--who knew it would take the form as a hot bowl of beef noodle soup. So delicious, it's got the classic Sichuan numbing spice and the beef was soft and flavorful. Service was great and super fast and the place is small but cozy. Definitely come here with some friends on a cold day for a hearty bowl!

Saw this place walking down the Ave - popped in for a quick bite. The restaurant was very clean and largely quiet. The staff were friendly and service was quick. I ordered spicy wontons, fried dumplings, and fried rice - everything was tasty. The spicy wontons were definitely my favorite. Everything is done online (scanning the code from the table), I didn't see any printed menus as an option.

I walked in pretty early in the day, so service was on point. I was sat down and told how to order, they were playing very slow and tranquil music, I almost fell asleep. The food itself was a little disappointing, came out to around $17 with 15% tip, the broth was good but there wasn't really any vegetables which was disappointing.

food: 3/5 service: 2/5 ambiance: 2/5 maybe we went on an off day for the shop, but the last few times we tried to come here, we would get literally turned away and told to get out, even though this was way before closing and we'd be willing to wait. not the best way to gain customers--i can tolerate waiting and irate people, but to get turned away is absolutely insane. nonetheless, we came to visit anyway. this was only the main chef though, the servers are kind and i was only frustrated with the chef. ambiance wise it's pretty blank and clean, the water feels a bit odd due to the fact that they just have pitchers sitting out there all day and it's lukewarm, but not enough to make me mad. however, the food is probably the most unfortunate. they advertise a veggie noodle soup, and since my friend is vegetarian, i do consider that as a factor when i'm looking for something to eat and check menus before i visit. they don't disguise it here though, the vegetarian broth is straight up just their chili oil and water. that was insane to me--no veggie stock guys? then take it off the menu. i ordered their chili wontons, which were not bad, and same with their beef noodle soup. it was below par for what'd i'd expect, and the portions were not that crazy either. because there are more options on the ave, i would most definitely visit those rather than this place. don't get me wrong, the spice is great, but they're not vegetarian friendly, and the portion-to-price ratio isn't enough to get me to come back.

Small Chonqing Shredded Chicken Mixed Noodles ($14.99)

I stopped into Panda Noodle Bar on a Tuesday at around 1pm to get a quick takeout lunch to eat on the UW Quad when the cherry blossoms were in bloom! Upon entry, the restaurant is small, dark and narrow, but deeper length-wise than it looks, with plenty of seating downstairs and in a loft-like space upstairs. There weren't many people there when I went, but I'm sure it gets crowded on weekends! We ordered directly at the front counter, and service was quick - we simply marked what we wanted on the menu, and then were given buzzers for when our food was ready. Our servers didn't speak much English, but that wasn't really an issue at all, and they were kind and helpful in explaining the different dishes to us. I ended up ordering a Small Chonqing Shredded Chicken Mixed Noodles ($14.99) at a Medium Spicy level. I initially thought the price was quite steep for a noodle dish, but it's a lot of noodles. The dish came with a generous amount of wheat noodles with assorted vegetables (shredded cucumbers, carrots, and peas), peanuts, a small amount of chicken, and a very liberal amount of chili oil. I ended up dumping out a lot of the extra oil, and the noodles were still extremely flavorful - it was just the right amount of spice, with a rich garlicky flavor as well. The crunch of the cucumber and the peanuts also added a nice contrast. Overall, I enjoyed my meal from Panda Noodle Bar, although I wish that there was a bit more protein (there was barely any shredded chicken) and maybe less noodles? I think that it's a great spot for college students (if a bit pricey for what it is), service is fast and friendly, and has a great location - definitely a place I'd stop into to get your noodle fix!

Delicious food and great service! I've been wanting to check out this place for a while and finally got to stop in. It's a mom & pop restaurant but the quality is still top tier and food is all reasonably priced. Ordering is done online so it's convenient and easy because most dishes have pictures available. We ordered the garlic spareribs, spicy wontons and braised intestine noodle soup with braised pork added. Everything came out relatively quick and was so good! I usually can't handle the numbing of the mala that is found in many Szechuan cuisine, but this place has a good balance. The dumplings were also nice and chewy, and we got to see them make it while we were eating! Spare ribs were also delicious but I needed some white rice, since I can't eat too much salt. All in all, I highly recommend and can't wait to come back! It's right on the Ave so it's perfect when you're needing some comfort food before/after studying!

    Tomato egg soup noodles

It was a chilly evening and I had a hankering for something warm for dinner and was debating between hotpot or Korean tofu stew and then this spot popped up on my Yelp search. I did a quick Yelp scan of reviews and photos and decided to give it a try. Located on University Way NE next to rows of other restaurants is Panda Noodle Bar. You may have to do a double look since it is sorta hidden among the more brightly lit shops nearby. It felt much like a mom and pop kind of shop. The owner was the one who seemed to be preparing the food, there was another waiter and I think the owner's wife also helped to serve the food and acted as the cashier as well. They have the QR code type menu on the table, which to my chagrin I'm still getting use to, but I remember reviewing the menu before I arrived so I knew I was going to get the Braised Beef Stew Noodle Soup, my friend got the Tomato & Egg Noodle Soup and we shared a Fried Baked Scallion Pancake and a pot of tea to boot. Everything could be ordered from your phone. Fried Baked Scallion Pancake - This appeared to be homemade and it was not super oily. I would have preferred it to be browned a bit more, but it was still flakey and satisfying. Braised Beef Stew Noodle Soup - I asked for medium spice and as others have mentioned it had a good broth flavor, it came out pipping hot, a tad too much chili oil but it wasn't over powering, the beef pieces were tender and the noodles were actually quite good. Tomato & Egg Noodle Soup - Tomato and egg is a dish famous in China, but we've never seen it in a soup version. Nevertheless, it was a nice savory broth with tomato and a pan fried egg and the noodles were good. The decor is a bit lack lustering, but I came for a bowl of good noodles and that is what I got, so decor is not a critique, just merely an observation. The owner's wife brought our food and tea and never stopped by to check on us again until we went up to the front to pay for the bill, which once again, isn't a critique but an observation, and honestly, I rather they focus on the food than say customer service. And by no means were they rude, but it was more like, here's your food and if you need anything flag one of us down. I would suggest coming here if you want a nice bowl of what taste like homestyle noodles with good flavor, reasonable pricing but don't expect outstanding customer service. I noticed a lot of local Asian students were the clientele and I think this is probably a nice change from the cafeteria food.

Braised pork and braised beef soup large
    Celina S.

We ordered a large braised pork soup and large beef noodle soup. The pork was good, it has a chasu vibe more than a fatty pork vibe. The noodles in both bowls were super chewy/QQ. But the beef was not tender and for $20 for a bowl after tax, the amount of ingredients was underwhelming. I was full after but there were no veggies as pictured; mostly broth and noodles and "some" meat. TLDR: noodles have great texture, broth is good, but the meat is underwhelming and expected more veggies in the soup. price is a little high for what this is.

    Sichuan Mixed Sauce Noodles Soup
    Brittany D.

I came here for lunch and got the spare ribs, beef stew with noodle soup, and mixed sauce noodles. It wasn't busy at all, and we got our food pretty quickly which was nice. The spare ribs were really good! They were crispy but still tender and very warm. The onions were also tasty. I got the beef stew with noodle soup at a mild spice level. My spice tolerance is not the best, but wow the spice really hit. If you like traditional Sichuan spice, this will be great. I personally wasn't the biggest fan of the spice flavor, but I enjoyed the meat and noodles. If you are a big meat eater, I would recommend getting extra meat since it was pretty tender but there wasn't a ton. The mixed sauce noodles were really good, and it had the same noodles as the beef stew. It had a lot more meat, and I enjoyed the spice flavor more than the beef stew. Overall, my experience was good!

Since my last review the restaurant has closed and reopened, and expanded their menu, to now include more dumplings and varieties of noodles. They also now have a very handy duo of ordering kiosks, which you order at prior to sitting down. I found their kiosks easy to use, which isn't always a given. This being my first visit back in a while, I had to get the spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles. However I had to try some dumplings, so we shared the lamb dumplings, while my dinner buddy had the spicy cumin lamb rice noodle soup (the same kind of noodles you'd get at a ten second yunnan noodle type of place). They also now have a complimentary side dish bar that has seaweed salad, peanuts, and kimci, as well as some condiment type things like scallions and minced garlic. I helped myself to some seaweed salad to nibble on while waiting for our food, and it was good although food comes out quickly enough that you don't necessarily have to rely on it unless you're really chomping at the bit. The spicy cumin lamb biang biang noodles are just as good as I remember. The biang biang noodles here are perfectly chewy, and the rest of the dish has a lovely flavor aside from just spice. They're generous with lamb and cabbage which add a lot of textural variety to the plate. The lamb dumplings were the sleeper hit of the meal, filled with juicy, tender hunks of lamb surrounded by toothsome clearly hand-rolled wrappers. Absolutely do not skip the lamb dumplings. My dinner buddy really enjoyed her rice noodle soup with spicy cumin lamb, which I think would be a great option on a cold day. Everything is pretty much self serve here, so don't expect full service -- although they did stop by to refill our water once. The food here is so good, though, and prices are so reasonable, that I truly do not care that the experience is pretty bare bones otherwise.

Writing this sucks and also I feel like I'm giving a completely honest and fair review of last night (Friday, June 19, 2026) from 7 to 8:30pm ish. Two hairs - one in my kaisen champon, one in my partner's niku udon. A dead bug in the niku udon. A staff member walking the floor actively bleeding from his nose with a napkin stuffed into it. Any one of these on its own would have been a rough night. All three in the same meal is something else ‍ The kitchen is small and open so you can see and hear everything, which meant we also got a front row seat to the chef yelling at his staff multiple times throughout the evening. The team was clearly working hard and seemed genuinely understaffed, but the kitchen felt like it was coming apart at the seams. We were in line to order for about five minutes, during that time we heard the employee at the register say to the man in front of us that there is no more summer special cold udon flight. Bummer, but totally understand. The menus are acrylic boards at the ordering counter, there were two for the two specials and they were left up when we went to order. The employee told me that unfortunately they have run out of the other special (not the flight). She turned around to do something else for a bit, came back, so I ordered the flight and she said they don't have that either. LOL okay!! No worries! I asked if any of the udon can be made cold? She asked the head chef. He yells back that he has no time for this. Like a good one minute lecture, yelling at the staff. So sorry I made him yell at this poor girl I ordered kaisen champon and my partner ordered the niku udon. We waited for a good 30 mins for our food. Fine we like each other enough to spend time with each other and can clearly see it is chaos in the kitchen. We get our food. We didn't get utensils with our food, and were told "I'll grab utensils for you, sorry about that" So we just sat there waiting for utensils. Food is good but there are hairs and a bug ‍ During our time waiting the water wasn't ever filled (it's self serve) so after our food came I asked for water three times, kept getting "I'll refill it". The chawanmushi showed up 20+ minutes after our food, basically as we were finishing. And they don't have to-go containers, which fine, but worth knowing. I've given this place real chances. Last night felt like a hygiene issue, an understaffed kitchen, and a service breakdown all stacked on top of each other. Usually we go during lunch so maybe that's my recommendation moving forward - I'm giving this place a rest from the rotation for now.

We walked into a casual, compact space with a mix of counter and table seating that fits the quick ramen shop style. The interior is efficient and well organized, though it can get extremely busy, and the wait times are often one of the biggest parts of the experience, especially during peak hours. Once seated, the space feels functional and comfortable, designed around getting a bowl of ramen in front of you without unnecessary distractions. The ramen is built around rich tonkotsu broth with a lot of customization options. We appreciated the ability to adjust things like noodle firmness, richness, and spice level, which made each bowl feel more personalized. The regular tonkotsu ramen stood out for its deep umami flavor without feeling overly heavy, and the noodles had a great texture that held up well against the broth. The vegan options also stand out, including miso-based bowls with flavorful broths that give non-pork options more depth than many ramen shops offer. The toppings are generous, and the soft-boiled egg was cooked to that perfect jammy consistency. Beyond ramen, the menu has a few sides that complement the meal well, including gyoza that came out crisp and well filled. We also grabbed mochi ice cream for something sweet afterward, a light finish after the rich broth. The seasonal ramen options are worth checking out since they add variety beyond the standard bowls, giving regular visitors a reason to come back and try something new. Service is generally quick and friendly, especially considering how busy the restaurant gets. The ordering system is straightforward, and the staff handles the constant flow of customers efficiently. The team kept the pace moving without making the experience feel rushed, and they were attentive to refilling water and checking in on the table. The biggest downside is the popularity, since the lines can sometimes feel long for a relatively quick meal, but the wait tends to move faster than expected given the efficient turnover. Ramen Danbo is a reliable spot for a satisfying bowl of ramen in Seattle. The customizable bowls, strong broth, and consistent noodle quality make it a place worth visiting, although planning around busy hours can make the experience much better. The balance of customization and quality means you can dial in your bowl exactly how you like it, and the focused approach to the menu keeps the attention where it belongs.

Tables are mostly four tops, quite spacious at that, and surrounded by sturdy wooden chairs. I came for dinner on a Friday evening and there were a few other tables at any given time. Service was quick and our water never ran empty. We had the wontons in hot oil, topped with peanuts, I had the beef chow fun, and my dinner buddy had the pork with hot sauce noodles. The wontons are very very good, stuffed with flavorful pork and swimming in a sauce that sits in that perfect spot at the intersection of hot and sour. The peanuts and scallions add a delightful crunch. Their beef chow fun satisfies every bit of childhood nostalgia I have for this dish, with lots of wok hei, bouncy noodles, and the most tender of beef. I think my favorite beef chow fun in the city still lives at A+ Hong Kong Kitchen, but this is a close second. The portion here is also huge. I did get a chance to sample the delicate pork pieces and the flavorful rice. The slightly crispy rice at the bottom of the pot were so delicious. I had the Singapore style fried noodles. Really tasty. The noodles had so many flavors from the vegetables to the meats (shrimp, chicken meat & egg, and pork) and the sauce. I enjoyed the meal, and look forward to discovering more dishes to try on our adventures trying to find parking. JuFeng, thank you for the delicious meal!
