Placed a curbside order, and when I got there to pick up my order, realized that the curbside pick up area is not marked at all and is located in a no parking zone/fire lane. So, I parked in the legal spots in front of the restaurant, in clear view of the front doors. Waited about 15 minutes for my order to be brought out. No one came. No one called me. Nothing. So I went through the ridiculously long process of trying to get someone on the phone to check on my order. When I finally got "Mimi" on the phone, she very condescendingly and rudely explained that "it is called curbside service for a reason" and let me know that they would not go searching for my car. Panera should be ashamed to have such an unprofessional employee working for them.. I definitely won't be going back, and will tell everyone I know to avoid it like the plague. read more

The last few times I have been here, I have felt like the managers and staff have been absolutely rude to me. Panera is a place that the waitstaff or managers would come and clear your table for you. When I have a chance I would do so on my own. However, I have been met with mean faces and just flat out ignoring me. I say that is because I was there during lunch time working on homework, not bothering anyone. The managers and waitstaff would go around asking everybody around me if they would like to clear the table and for three hours my plate just stayed there. They would walk around asking everyone, how they are doing and was the food good and would turn there heads when it came to me. I don't recommend coming here, because they would treat you so rude. Listen....I've been to Panera THREE TIMES on this road trip. I'm stunned at how well they are maintained. The employees are so friendly and helpful. There is an extensive menu that is full of wonderful options for different dietary needs. I love the food here as it is wonderful fare at a perfectly affordable price point. Kudos to management here and to the employees that make this experience so awesome. I will probably always look for one of these whenever I'm moving about the I live in, its neighboring cities, or cities all over the country. It is my hope that they don't change. Like ever. I almost always have the Frontega sandwich with added bacon and arugula. I always opt for the chips (one of 3 side order choices) and I'm good to go with a water. I've since had the Strawberry Poppyseed salad which is bright, fresh, crisp, and refreshing. I'm not sure if it will be available for very much longer what with Fall being here, but I sure would love to have just one more before they take it off the menu. Outstanding customer service!!! The manager John was very attentive. 5 stars for him and his staff!! I came in about a week ago and took food to go and after eating 95% of my salad I discovered a very long hair. I immediately called and John answered and took care of it right away and apologized. I was shopping at Coronado today and decided to give it another shot since they gave me a credit for food to replace the other. I assume their food is sub par like Chipoltes is. I walked into the door after first going throught the exit because the entrance had a Kolhs sign above it and is was not clearly marked. I was hobbling because of bad hips and knees. I had no idea what to expect. It really is more of a fast food order at yhe counter, and not a sit down as advertised. Sit down means someone takes my order at the table. I asked the young man who saw me hobble to the counter as I asked if he had a paper munu i could mull over because I can't stand in front of a menu boar the figure out what i want. He said no. They don't have a printed menu for customers to sit and look at. McDonnalds does, if you ask. I told him i can't stand long enough and he looked at me like I was stupid. 17year old ruining a companies business. I guess if that is their business plan then well OKay. I went somewhere else instead of experiencing Panera for the first time. Their loss. Consistently good location. Not anything super fantastic but their customer service in the dining room is very good, especially during lunch. They are ready to get you what you need, butter or napkins for example. This is a good place to get work done. read more

Usually I love Panera Bread, I've been going there since this mall location opened up and am sorry to say I will not be returning to this location anymore. My last time there, my husband and I waited about 15 minutes for our food to arrive so we went up to the table bar where the food is brought out. Ours was just sitting there and looked like it had been there for a while. The worst part (and the reason I will not dine at this location anymore) about this was that the General Manager was right there, just checking the orders and not delivering them. The bar was full of orders! What the heck Panera? Very dissatisfied and disappointed. Apparently I am not the only one who notices the management problem, I have even heard associates gossiping about managers before. I wish Panera would just bring orders our on time, a free pastry is not gonna make my food come out on time. read more

I came here looking for a Panera Cafe, but what I got was some weird chimera combining a Panera with something called "Paradise" that actually diminished the value of my experience. Specifically, I came here to get a salad for dinner and do some work. That was all great, just like all other Paneras. But I also planned to get some kind of pastries to take back to the hotel for breakfast, but this place doesn't have the usual collection of Panera breads and such. It was almost all cookies with a few other dessert-type pastries (e.g. cinnamon rolls). So that was quite disappointing, but overall it still a nice environment to get some decent food at a good price. read more

I was madly in love with their turkey artichoke sandwich. It was like spinach artichoke dip spread and delicious! I thought they got my order wrong because this sandwich was nothing like that sandwich. At all. When they sent back the same sandwich, I was extremely disappointed. My tomato soup was delicious and the croutons are fab. I ordered my daughter a grilled cheese and let's just say I'm pretty sure prison serves better sandwiches. It was so hard on the edges I couldn't even chew it, let alone my toddler. I gave her the middle and it was cold. She wound up nibbling on the sandwich I thought they messed up on. Also, if you had been to other Paradise Bakery's or Panera's in other states, this one is definitely different. read more

Had dinner at this location tonight to support a fund raiser. Had a large tuna sandwich, turkey chili, and a soft drink. Must say it was really lousy, chili was bland and luke warm and flavorless. Sandwich could not have had more then 3 oz of tuna, basically a lettuce, tomato, and onion sandwich. Had the same experience at the holly location last week with a Cuban. I don't understand why the sandwich's have gotten so skimpy especially at 9 bucks or so. Panera used to be really good, and busy. I notice both locations are a lot slower now probably because of the quality drop. Especially in December at the mall and the place was dead. I think I'm done with this chain. This was going to b a 3 star review, but taking care of a special request after the order was made gets them 4 stars. Panera was one of my favorite places to eat when I was back east and now I'm happy to see them here in ABQ. Looks like they have changed their order taking system from what I remember, as now they automatically add a cookie with everything you order instead of asking what you would like, e.g. chips, whole fruit or a piece of bread. Also they didn't have the Panera label chips but instead had Ms. Vickys. I think i liked the Panera label chips better. The soup was good and hot, cream of chicken & wild rice. The chipotle chicken sandwich on focaccia was done well albeit a little on the cold side. The wifi service was a little spotty. All in all not a bad experience. Ill come back again next time I'm in town. read more

I visited Panera for lunch. I was want a good sanfwhich. What I got was unsatisfying. I oredered a Turkey Breast sandwhich well my friend I accompained to Panera ordered a broccoli cheadder soup and a side salada. When are food arrived at are table we were in shock. There was no chocolate chip cookie!! Like what happened to our cookie. Where did it go. Im not returning if I don't get a chocolate chip cookie on my plate. I kind of expect it at Panera. Also I asked for a healthier side and received a bag of chips. Service was good. Food was decent quite average. But the cookie really ruined the lunch. I think Panera is slacking and fallen recently. I would diffently recommend somewhere else. They used to be one of the best lunch spots anywhere. But there just slacking. I won't be returning. They really need to pick up there food quality again and give cookies with each plate. read more

Out running the saturday errands and had to stop for lunch. I ordered the Italian combo sandwich and a mandarin orange muffin. I was in food heaven. The bread was warm and chewy- (which no longer contains yoga matt remnants-lol)- anyhoo- this was the best sandwich I have had in a very long time. Fresh meat, veggies and cheese. I also had a tall cold glass of Acai tea which rounded out the deal. I havent tried the other Paneras in Alb, so I really cant compare it, but this place was meticulous and the staff was awesome. The menu has so many selections it took me a while to decide- but now that I know where they are, and what culinary delites they offer- I will have many more opportunities to taste them all! read more

I almost gave this place 4 stars merely based on the fact that they have yummy iced tea that is brewed fresh regularly. The food is basic but the service is friendly and the ambiance is relaxed so it's alright in my book. Good but not amazing. I'm a fan of coming here if I am looking for a spot with free wifi and need a drink and a quick bowl of soup or a salad while shopping. Went to Panera Bread yesterday with friends and it was my first visit. The staff was really helpful offering suggestions and helping me pick my lunch meal. We sat down to eat and I was amazed at how quickly our food came out and how great it tasted. I got the pick 2 Fuji Apple salad and broccoli and cheese soup. Really impressed and highly satisfied. We spent the afternoon catching up and the staff continued to be helpful and check in on us occasionally to see if we needed anything else. read more

I am extremely happy with Panera Bread. I've been to four of their ABQ locations and they are all very good. Coronado is my usual "go-to, however." All of their soup selections are extremely good, as are their sandwiches and salads. Their Breakfast Sandwich is really super. And, the bakery (my downfall) has dozens of tempting items (a bakery item for only 99 cents with your meal). Sorry, I digress. The coffees are all very good (serve yourself), and there are rewards from time to time (the more you go the more rewards you get). After ordering, your meal is delivered promptly to your table (you get a tracker). I've never waited more than ten minutes. You can also order ahead of your arrival. The surroundings are neat, and kept very clean (includes restrooms). The manager regularly passes through the entire dining area, always inspecting, and even he / she cleans up if something is amiss. I am impressed. Lastly, the pricing is very reasonable and everything I've ordered is really delicious. P.S. - I can't help it - the Cinnamon Crunch Scones are great! read more

Went here for lunch with a friend. My favorite option on the menu is always choose two, that way you can get two delicious menu items to try! My absolute favorite thing from this place is the macaroni and cheese. It is to die for! I have also tried souls, salad, and various sandwiches which have all been delicious as well. My only complaint is that they stopped giving cookies with their meals you now get to choose between chips bread or an apple which is definitely not as good. read more

Coronado Mall Location has major customer service issues! The girl at the front desk was grumpy and sleepy. No smile, no hello, no thank you, not what I expect for Panera bread. My to go order was never called out so it sat on the counter for 10 minuets without knowing. Energy was low from the rest of the staff and you could feel the negativity in the air.
