First time ever going to a Panera Bread location. I browsed the sandwich section of the menu to see what I would enjoy and I ended up ordering a steak and cheese half sandwich with an iced coffee. After a 10 minute wait one of the workers came by to drop off my food. It looked really delicious so I had to get a few pictures in before eating it. It was delicious and I liked that the sandwich came with potato chips. The parking lot is huge and there is plenty of space available. I came on a Friday morning so maybe later on during the day or during weekends it gets more full but during my visit it was pretty empty. I would definitely go back to this location. I would like to try more of their sandwiches because they all looked good and appealing. read more

Panera! What happened??! The second time I came to this location, it was a drive thru purchase. Late night bite was my craving. I ordered a half grilled cheese sandwich with a broccoli and cheese soup. I had the option to get chips or an apple. I chose an apple because chips at night was a no bueno. Once I got home, excited to eat some yummy food, I saw my apple. It looked ugly. Honestly, I didn't want to eat it. I felt bad throwing the fruit away but I couldn't eat it. Been to this Panera Bread a couple times. All were to go orders. It's easy quick and convenient. I usually get my orders in 10 minutes are less. Maybe because I just order a bagel or pastry item? I can't say the same for larger orders. Always check your order before you leave. Make sure you receive the item(s) as ordered. Heads up if you order certain drinks via online order, just walk up to the register and show them your email order receipt. They will hand you a cup and you can fill away! The Passion Papaya Green Tea is pretty refreshing. Don't let the papaya and Green Tea combination scare you. It's really good. This Panera is right across the street from Costco and in the same area as McDonald's. Plenty of parking to go around for all the times I've stopped by. Make sure to order with your Panera account to earn points/visits to earn rewards. It definitely pays off when you use an account because Panera is not your McDonald's price range. I came to Panera bread because I was craving chicken noodle soup. The chicken noodle soup came with a choice of chips, fruit or bread. I chose the bread option. I'm not completely sure the type of bread it was, however it was quite hard. I found it to be perfect for dipping into the soup. The chicken noodle soup satisfied my craving but it wasn't anything too special. I also got the chocolate chip cookie to treat myself, and it was great decision. This month they had a free bagel a day promo linked to your MyPanera account. I came here and 2 out of 4 times (10am) they DIDN'T HAVE BAGELS or ran out (Tuesday). That's like going to Starbucks and be told they are out of coffee or Dunkin' and be out of doughnuts. Still, glad i could get a free December bagel here and there with a little luck (until end of Dec 2018 only) On the days they do have bagels, I advice not to toast them. Last time the french toast one was over-toasted on the sides and it was too hard. I would only toast a plain bagel (or those with no sugars). The almond croissant is delicious, it is a bit too sweet but the almond butter inside adds body to an otherwise flaky pastry. Some of the workers are fairly new, they seem to be slower with the register so be patient. This Panera hasn't been in town for very long, maybe a year or so, and I was quite excited when it decided to come to Alhambra. Sure enough it's the classic Panera that it has always been, friendly staff and clean restaurant. I like Panera because you have healthier options for lunch, but I often find that the portions are small and the food is a bit pricey. On this visit, I ordered the pick two with the turkey avocado bacon sandwich, without tomato. I ended up splurging on my second choice and got the chicken and wild rice in lieu of a salad. My food was fine, but it came out incorrectly, there must have been confusion by the lady who took my order. My sandwich came with tomato, but not the avocado, little disappointed, but not a big deal. Right before heading to LAX, I decided to stop by Panera Bread for a half salad. I was pleasantly surprised to find a drive-thru at this location. I ordered the Green Goddess Cobb Salad, which came with half a baguette, and a can of raspberry lime Spindrift. The salad was actually better than I expect it to be with a hard-boiled egg, avocado, and slices of chicken breast that was well-seasoned. I've actually never had green goddess dressing before, so I was happy with the creamy, herby, and deliciously tangy flavor of the dressing. Veggies were fresh and crunchy too. For every Panera places I go, I am looking at 3 things cleanliness, customer service, and the customers themselves. Lately a lot of location I went, I wanted to point out that it was very bad, but this one shall pass at least on 2 things, customer service and the people who chose to live here 24/7 aka customers. Yes, Panera is trying to compete to become the next Starbucks, they want people to come in and stay, and well eat, buy more stuffs, etc. that's why they created the unlimited sip program. So if a Panera was crowded you know it will be a good spot, sometimes they couldn't meet the demand, for example a lot of dirty tables, empty but not yet been cleaned, so I expected to have a spot to sit down then it will be done by my own doing, I wiped them down before I could sit, and I do want to charge my phone, so if the wall outlets are working, kudos to them, they want to keep their customers especially people who on 5 of their laptops at the same time and occupy the entire sockets. Limited outlets were fine, but non of them were working will be worse, surprisingly they all worked. Now I can sit and enjoy my drink while my phone being charged up. Pretty standard Panera. I really like that they have multiple kiosks with the beverage cups all laid out for the frequent sip club members. The kiosks tho are like going thru an obstacle course. I just want my free drink and I have to say NO to multiple screens of 'would you like to add...' Super annoying. This was the first time I have ever eaten at a Pandora Bread Restaurant. I have tried their catered sandwiches and those were alright. I came here during lunch and I ordered from the mobile order kiosk. I ordered a chicken panini and the tomato soup as part of their choose 2. You get half a sandwich and a soup. There also different sizes of the soup which is a bowl or a cup. I chose the bowl and it was the right amount, the cup is on the tad side. The tomato soup was really good, it wasn't sour and it was rich and creamy. I probably shouldn't have gotten the chips and stuck with bread so I can dip it. The sandwich itself wasn't bad either. It came out warm and the bread was nicely toasted. The vegetables tasted fresh and it was really flavorful. Aside from the soup, the drinks were all pretty mediocre. They were all either really sweet or it tasted like a diet fruit juice where it lacked sugar. Parking to this place is hectic, the restaurant itself is pretty small for a Panera but there is a drive through. read more

Also they build a McDonald's next to Panera Bread now these a battle for my appetite decision. These Panera bread is close to my wife job better traveling. a long distance to Pico Rivera where's it's bigger and compare these new Panera in Alhambra it's more modern design that caught my eye. My wife and I were looking at the menu display and see what's to get,we they make everything scratch made including they breads,Bengals and their delicious pastry. My wife order the cheese sandwich and the tomato bisque and I order the French onion soup in a bread bowl. We waited for our meal to arrive at our table and staff member brought out meal I notice my bread bowl is missing comes on bowl she was telling me they ran out of bread bowl instead they give a loaf of sourdough bread that was nice I love sourdough when is nice chewy and tasty that sourness. New restaurant in a small strip mall shared by McDonald's. Has ample parking within the lot including a small double decker small parking structure nearby. Lots of soups, sandwiches and pastries to choose from. Got the 1/2 chx pan french baguette with corn chowder soup and ice tea. Really trying hard to stick to my diet. I honestly am not even one to leave reviews and give benefit of the doubt because I used to work in food service. But this specific location you NEED to make sure you get your receipt and check to see you were not over charged or just to ensure you got what you asked for correctly. Not going to go into specifics , but having worked at a Panera bread before I know this location definitely needs to work on their precision and customer service. Image: Asked to substitute the bananas instead of strawberries and got charged for both "add ons" . (For those who don't know if you sub an item of equal value they shouldn't charge for the new, but manually but SUB BANANAS) Asked for spinach and didn't receive any and because I didn't want them to remake the whole sandwich I just received cold spinach on the side. A simple "free pastry for your inconvenience" isn't worth half my order being wrong and me having to go all the way around the drive thru to fix it or even get out of my car. Rainy day and really felt like enjoying a nice bowl of soap with some coworkers on lunch. I have been to Panera Bread before but not the Alhambra location. I work the next city over so it was like a ten min drive now to bad. There was a good parking lot with plenty of room. Also there was plenty of other places to eat around this certain area. So back to Panera we walk in a very quit restaurant seems pretty clean and we were greeted by the cashier. Very great customer service I think. It was my coworkers first time eating here and it seemed the staff were very helpful in helping her find what was the best soup for her likings. That being said she ordered cream of chicken wild rice soup. When our order came to the table they brought her a bowl of just regular chicken soup. She was pretty bummed about that. My order was fine along with my other coworkers. I ordered the broccoli cheddar soup in a bowl which was nice and creamy, warm, and tasty. This place looks very cool to work for all the staff seemed very happy. The bread was fresh Cookies looked very tasty. They had a A variety of teas and other agua frescas for refreshments.
