Ever since getting into the Sip Club, which is totally worth it, we've been frequenting this location. I absolutely love the breads, bagels, and friendly service. Sandwich portions seem small in general across the brand but the taste is good and if something is ever off they always make it right. The breads, especially early in the day, are so incredibly good. I highly recommend the tomato bread. Current favorite sandwiches are the deli turkey and the barbecue chicken. The soups are really tasty. The tomato bisque and the chicken and wild rice is really warming and creamy. And just tried the chipotle chicken flatbread (extra cheese) today which was perfectly toasted. Service is good across the board and the staff is friendly but the Anthony (in front) in particular helps us out a lot and is great to talk to. Also met another Anthony in the kitchen today actually and he's awesome too. As for the Sip Club, the charged sips taste the best with their fantastic mango yuzu and strawberry mint but I can't drink too much of it at once and most people probably shouldn't either. The caffeine and sugar levels are just way too high. It's kind of common sense but some people have been giving Panera a bad name by drinking them irresponsibly so they are now stashed in the back of most if not all locations. read more

Panera. I'm at a different Panera every day either for coffee, lunch-to-go, or for one of my healthy meals. Panera serves a relatively good product, overall. What this Panera is seriously lacking at this Alhambra location are workers that care about their customers. Staff here simply do not care enough to offer decent service. Staff behave as if they were being forced to work at Panera with no wage. Transients enter the store and meander throughout the store, undeterred, interrupting customers while they are eating, begging for money while the Panera staff safely observe from behind the register counter. Harassed by transients at Panera, and the Panera staff will not intervene in any way? This is unheard of. Hire a security guard, Panera. The worse culinary experience any one of us can experience is to be grossly misled and tricked into supporting a business that does not care about their customers or the quality of their product. Panera, your lack of preparation at Alhambra store does not constitute a good business practice. Another note Panera, you need to bring back the salmon lox bagels. Apparently, today is National Macaroni and Cheese Day, so I used a two dollar discount from Panera Bread for use today only through their application. This is a rather new Panera, and now has a drive-thru that can also be used to pick-up online orders. I really appreciate the ability to pickup orders through a drive-thru, as I really don't need to dress up and can just wear the clothing I normally wear. I've never really been a Panera fan until my grandson was born and really liked the food at Panera, and really enjoys playing with the fresh baguettes, which are about two feet long. So disappointed with the Chicken avocado melt sandwich and the small Chinese chicken salad I ordered. The sandwich prices have been going up over the last 2 years. My sandwich cost $15.04. It shrunk. The sandwich has always been bigger...I would get full. Not this time, it was smaller, I was still hungry. The Chinese chicken salad wasn't tasty. There's plenty of seating inside and some outside as well. Sometimes there are cashiers but you're better off ordering using the iPads next to the cashiers. When I order on the iPad, I customize my salad to add & subtract ingredients. The food comes out pretty quick and I receive a text when my order is ready. I like that there is restroom here. So ive been wanting my French onion bread soup bowl & my bf got the turkey sandwich. We did get there a tad late it was 8:50pm so we do apologize we really wanted Panera on a nice cold night. I love coming to this Panera. The ambiance is very calming, well for me. The food is always great tasting and it tastes fresh. I usually get the deli turkey with avocado (costs extra), the tuna salad sandwich or the deli ham. I either stray between the chicken noodle soup or the chicken wild rice soup. Both are good. The employees are friendly and hard working. There are times they do need support. The only quip I have is that at times the coffee selection is limited. The husb and I usually come later in the day, so that could be the reason why. Parking can also be an issue since there are many businesses in the vicinity. But it is nice to have a Panera nearby. We're also part of the Sip Club, very good deal for us. Actually, there's times we don't have dinner here, but we stop to get our cafecito, shhh, don't tell. If you like a relaxing place to sip coffee and have a nice meal with friendly staff, then Panera in Alhambra is your go to! read more

Pre-Covid review What's up: Wanted to grab some of their yummy bagels. This place was close by my work so it was an ideal place to pick it up from. Parking: I came in for an early morning pickup around 7 am and parking was plentiful in their lot. Environment: After you walk into the building, you'll see the order counter straight ahead. The drinks section is slightly to the left of that area. If you go further towards the left, you'll see the seating area as well as the restrooms. The Rapid Order pickup location is to the left of the order counter, closer towards the restrooms. There is also a waiting area with a monitor display and seats where you can see the status of your order. The place was well lit and clean. What was ordered: - 2 Tuesday Baker's Dozen (available only on Tuesdays) - 3 tubs of cream cheese spread - Chocolate Croissant (so yummy) I used their Panera Mobile App to place the order and it was so easy. I picked the time and date for when I wanted to pick up and it was ready when I got there. Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. The app made it really easy to order and pick up. It was fast and I didn't have to wait. The only thing was that the bagels were a bit cold but that's nothing a microwave couldn't solve. Check your orders if you do rapid pick up! We picked up an order for 2 people and half of our order was missing. Good thing we checked the bag before we dropped off. Um I'm not sure why this location has such a low rating, because as you can see by my pictures, I've been here five times in the last month and a half and I have not yet had a bad or even mediocre experience. Sure, the place is usually busy and I have more than once ended up at a circular table meant for four in the middle of the dining room, looking like an idiot trying to reach the nearest outlet, but that's not Panera's fault. Before this recent marathoning of Panera I'll admit that I hadn't been very frequently (because let's face it, Panera is way overpriced), so maybe I don't know what to expect of the average Panera. One thing is for sure, I have thoroughly enjoyed every item I've ordered here. Oh, and every employee I've interacted with has been super friendly (especially the manager). So I guess two things are for sure. I have been opting for the customizable "pick two" lunches, which allows people with OCD to make their way through three sections of the menu with relative ease. My strategy is now to always choose "sandwich and" because the sandwich section is much longer than the soup and salad sections. What I also love about Panera (for those who haven't been) is that they offer six or so house-made teas and lemonades. None of them are too sugary, and they're all substantially less sweet than soda, so a great alternative for those of you who hate water, like me, because it's boring. The only thing I would say needs improvement would be the cleanliness of the restaurant. The tables, drink area, and floor are usually pretty dirty. read more

As for other technology, they also have a screen that tells you that your order is being processed / when it's ready.
