I'm extremely disappointed with this location. The entire place has an unpleasant odor -- a mix of cigarette smoke and something sour, like dirty feet. When I went to use the women's restroom, it was in awful condition with feces smeared on the toilet seat and wall. We have not been to Panera is so long because of the quality and attention to details. Today was no different. We ordered breakfast online. A new item that surely staff would be trained to make and at least have a recipe to follow yet the order was picked up through the drive thru and brought home. When we open our sandwiches, a main ingredient was missing. The eggs. We didn't even request something different and they could not get the basic recipe correct!! On both sandwiches!! When I left the same dirty dishes were on the coffee dispenser area. Napkins on floors it doesn't look like anybody's clean that place in a month. Ordered half a dozen of a specific bagel a week in advance. On the day of pick we got an email stating the order was ready. When we waited about 20 min in the drive thru line the person told us sorry we are out of that bagel. When the manager came to issue a refund asked if they had that bagel today and he said yes. Then I asked why they didn't have any for our order and he said I don't know that is the catering managers fault. He didn't seem to know or care. Overall very very poor experience. While making our way from ATL to the mountains, we paused and enjoyed some shopping along with lunch at Panera Bread. We visited on a Thursday afternoon. We were immediately greeted and assisted by a friendly mid-aged gentleman who took our order. My friend and I decided to share a full size strawberry poppyseed salad and a turkey and avocado BLT sandwich. We paired both entrées with baguettes. She ordered a mango smoothie and I enjoyed a hot Madagascar vanilla latte made with almond milk. Our food was prepared to order and everything was correct and fresh. I was thrown for a loop when my hit latte was served in a plastic cup, but it tasted delicious and wasn't an inconvenience. The restaurant was calm and the vibe worked for us. Entry way smells really bad, like wet dog and piss. All of the tables and seats weren't wiped down, felt unpleasant to sit down. Ordered a Caesar salad and some baked goods. Ordered from the kiosk instead of an employee taking our order, two employees on one register but line was moving way too slow. The girls sat there gossiping to each other. Sweet tea and lemonade dispensers were out the whole hour dining in. Took 40 minutes, FORTY minutes to get one salad. AN extra 15 to get the cold croissant and danish. I tried the croque monsieur croissant toast and added tomato and mixed greens. I don't eat at Panera bread often just because I try to stay away from the carbs, but when I do, I usually will do their cookies and their mac n cheese. When I see there was a new sandwich on the menu, I wanted to try it and it did not disappoint. The tomato and mixed greens added an extra health kick to the sandwich but tied in perfectly with the caramelized onion and Gruyère spread. The food at Panera bread is usually good, some of the sandwiches are a bit dry for my liking, but this sandwich was the opposite! The service at this location is always quick and the employees are very friendly. The ambiance is warm and inviting with a modernized atmosphere. read more

This is Panera Bread so you know what you are going to get: good healthy food. My order was the Pick 2 with tomato soup and Greek salad, a good choice and filling lunch. No complaints with the food. I ordered through the app and picked it up in the restaurant. Ate on the back patio outside (as it is covid time and outdoors is safer, during covid the staff is wearing masks). My order had potato chips instead of my bread, returned inside and they promptly gave me my bread (see pic of my corrected order). I have eaten at this location a half dozen times and every other visit has some small problem. The staff always fixes it, so can't complain about that. There must be some problems here as during my visit there were several PB big wigs wandering around checking on things; even the store manager came outside to make sure my order was correct. A nice touch. This location is across from the Mall of Georgia and gets super busy. Also PB is better than the food court options in the mall. Lots of free parking. I found it amusing that there is a bog poster about food being clean when you walk into this place and the restaurant was filthy and out of most items. OK I'm proud to be among you all as a fellow negative reviewer, now I know it's not just me ! Has anyone else had the cops threatened to be called on them ?!?! lol So I get to work and decide that I want the delicious asiago cheese bagel with egg, sausage and white cheddar . This was before I started using the app to place an advanced order. I have the luxury of being able to leave work for a short period of time to go get breakfast or coffee whatever, although I'm pushing it with Panera Bread because I have to drive seven or eight minutes down past the mall of Georgia to get to it . After making the trip I have to wait in line for (((10 minutes))) for a simple bagel sandwich . Upon receiving my order I drive the seven or eight minutes back to work , with taste buds and mouth salivating fully prepared to mow down this delicious bagel only to discover that an item had been left off the bagel . Which one? Take a guess... That's right the most important, delicious , ingredient the sausage. After a few expletives (since I'm still in the office alone ) I resigned myself to go ahead and make the best of a bad situation, at least I have food right . "hell no" I think to myself , "I can't allow myself to be treated this way and ripped off." so I get back in the car to make the seven minute drive back down to Panera bread to find Justice . The whole drive down I'm thinking to myself "remain calm,be polite, be professional." I will admit that I can have a forceful personality, especially in the face of a perceived injustice , to myself or others . So I proceeded to walk into the restaurant with the incorrect item and begin to communicate with the delicate, lilting, soft spoken, Asian, female behind the counter. I firmly but politely stated my case. "I drove seven minutes to get down here the first time, waited in line 10 minutes, drove seven minutes to get back to work, received the wrong order, drove seven minutes to get back down here to have it corrected and now I'm gonna have to drive seven minutes back to work " "So that's 14 minutes to choose your restaurants and then 24 minutes for your mistakes ." "I would like this sandwich made correctly and I would like to receive some type of coupon for a free sandwich in the future for my trouble. " (as stated in their advertised written policy around the store.) The sweet ,young ,Asian, girl working the register begins to wilt further into her already meek and frail personality . She takes the sandwich and my story and floats off into the back . All of the sudden a large woman , with beat red cheeks, frizzled hair , wearing an ill fitted beaten up uniform bolsters out to the counter . Immediately has a reaction to me having the audacity to be irritated and vocalizing such. (Keep in mind, I did not use profanity at her or anyone, made no threats at her or anyone else nor did I begin to damage the store.) My assertive personality was simply too much for her to bear . Instead of deflating the situation , apologizing to the customer and remaking the sandwich and providing the advertised coupon , she instead proceeds to throw me out of the store and threatens to call law enforcement on me . At this point it's just too much for a darn breakfast sandwich, I give up, she did in fact refund my money before throwing me out so at least there's that . So along with everyone else's review I guess I have to rate this Panera Bread as the worst Panera bread and restaurant I have been to in quite some time that I can remember. It was their first time so they took quite a while to order. They offered to let me skip but I wasn't in a rush. I ordered the Baja Grain Bowl with a cup of broccoli and cheese soup. Delish!! I'm in love with this grain bowl!! It was soo good!! The perfect amount of every ingredient and they all paired well. I am so sad about this review. I literally come to this place almost everyday, but the past couple of weeks have been absolutely bad. It's been inconvenient because my order has been wrong a few times. Today I went through the drive through and they told me to wait at the curbside while people behind me got their food. And when I got my food. There was nothing inside my sandwich. So sad and they didn't give me the right sides. I am ok if it was the first time, but unfortunately it's happened way too many times....and today I didn't even get to eat lunch. If you are on your lunch break definitely not the place to go.
