We placed an order over the phone and when we get there and was told they sold the sandwich and then it was they ran out at 2pm but we placed the order they at 8pm. Boudin please tell your staff if a person wants the dark bake bread, asks for it at the register, no one says anything to the contrary and your server brings the sandwich, I say I asked for dark back and they say I don't think we make sandwiches with the dark bake. Please!? You've made it for me. You've even made the first one I ever had with dark bake, which I loved!!!, and now every time I ask for it the staff don't do it. So Panera...It's a chain restaurant that serves up tasty sandwiches and soups and salads and pastries. They are good at what they do. It's close by to our work, so we are typically there once a week. I really like how they have seasonal salads (Though I wish some of them would stick around longer)...and while the long line can be a deterrent to some..their service is really fast. The parking in this particular Panera really sucks, you can never find parking and people are vicious about spots in the lot, but once you DO find a spot, get in there, get in line and order, you are out within about 5 minutes if you are getting ToGo. During the summer when it's nice outside, they have a ton of outdoor seating we totally take advantage of. One thing I really do like about Panera vs their competitor Le Bou is that they have all their nutritional information on their website for most of their stuff. I am highly suspicious of hidden calories and fats in things you feel should be healthy...so I like knowing what I am going to be eating before I am blindsided by some crazy nutritional numbers that are insane. I am currently in love with their seasonal salad that has dried cherries, gorgonzola and walnuts, add chicken and YUM. All salads should have dried cherries in them, it's awesome. Love that you can get an apple or fruit with your meal (fruit is a little extra) rather than a high-carb baguette. One fun note if you are a coffee lover, order your lunch items at Panera then run next door to Peets to get a yummy treat to go. A quaint & fresh bread place with a variety of delicious sandwiches and baked goods. It's about a block away from De Anza college. The selection on the menu is amazing and there's always something new to try. The french bouquet is so good with the whipped butter. A very relaxing place to eat by yourself to study or with a large group of friends. It's fast, easy, and delicious with complimentary wi-fi. This place is known for their signiture sandwiches and even their signiture chips! It gives you many options with any type of sandwich you are craving. I find the paninis to be the best. Soup, salad, chips, fruit, yogurt, bread, ect. The combinations are endless. My favorite is the broccili chedder because it has just the right amount of flavor. A signiture side of their french bouquet with their unlimited refills of your choice of soda or free ice tea! A good place to stop by at any time of the day at a very appropriate location. read more

I have to admit...I use the Panera Bread chain like it it my personal study room. During my last finals period, I decided to escape my school's tense and anxiety ridden library and apartment building. So I came home, but wasn't sure where to go everyday since I'm not a library person. I remembered that Panera Bread had free internet...so I started going there and I fell in LOVE! First of all...the damned place smells AMAZING. Out went my low carb diet. But the smells kept me happy and energized all day. It opens at like 6am or something, so I'd go at 8 or 9, and be there literally all day, till 5 or 6 pm. I'd get coffee in the morning and would abuse the free refills (another amazing perk!). I would also each lunch there...the 1/2 and 1/2 deal with a greek salad and chicken noodle soup...YUM! Pretty much everything on the menu is really good. To avoid being a weird creeper who was there literally 7 days a week 8-12 hours a day for 2 weeks straight...I went to different Panera Breads around the south bay. Yea..I'm weird. hahaha. So I hit up this on, Campbell, Coleman Ave, and the 2 in Fremont. Their service is always excellent, and I'm always nice and comfortable there without feeling like I need to leave. It was as relaxing of a finals period as I could get...and guess what, I got straight A's last semester!!! Come late April and early May...I'll be doing my grand Panera Bread tour again. I usually go to Panera on 137 AVE and 88th ST... I must say the manager that day David is the perfect fit for a place as busy as that one. Not only was the food ready in a quickly manner but he was also kind and listen to understand our request. I asked to speak to him cause I wanted to make a change in my kids order. I recomend this place and for you to see David if you have any questions. The cashier made a small error in my order and David noticed I had 2 kids and gave them a cookie each for the trouble but is no the cookie what made me write this review but how professional, courteous and kind he was. My daughter stopped at Panera's and bought me supper. I have never been so disgusted with food ever. The potato soup was ok flavor-wise but was still bland. The Asiago cheese focaccia bread tastes like two-day-old regular bread. No cheese flavor to it. The chicken salad sandwich took the prize. There couldn't have been more than a teaspoon of filling in that sandwich and maybe six small limp leaves of lettuce. It was supposed to be a whole sandwich. It was one slice of bread folded over and sliced in half. I wasn't impressed the first time I ate there a couple of years ago. Panera, you do a great job with packaging for delivery and thank you for following specific instructions, no matter how specific they may be. I love how I can customize my sandwich with the kind of bread of want. I love the tomato basil and French baguette! Their bread is so soft and fresh and I love the variety that they have. The half salad half sandwich is my favorite lunch option. You can choose up to 5 salad dressings for just one salad too-- so generous! I end up saving whatever I don't use when I make my own salads at home ;) They have some really tasty pastries as well, like their bearclaw, but I mainly stick to the other carbs like bread and bagels :) I would recommend coming in the morning or get an early lunch so it's guaranteed that the bread used for your sandwich was just made that morning! read more

Oh, Panera Bread. I really want to like you... but something always seems just a little off. I should qualify this by saying that I've only ever been here for a quick dinner (because it's close to my house), so I can't speak to the coffee and pastries, which do look tasty. I came for the wifi, which cuts out every half hour, reminding you you've overstayed your welcome. But what could I expect from one of my least favorite bakery/cafe chains? The pastries are dense, fattening but not flaky, and taste stale. The coffee is weak, which can seem like a bad thing--but you can probably drink 3 cups for every Starbucks tall drip. This Panera Bread is awesome and I love the manager, who aleays seems to be here. He is a white male with salt and pepper hair and jazzy glasses. He is very friendly and dedicated to making sure that your service is spectacular. I have been here before when I ordered ahead, but today, I decided to actually dine in. There is plenty of space, and it was easy for me to find a table. The drink area is very clean and well organized. My food came out really quickly. I ordered a you pick 2 meal and got two bbq chicken flatbread sandwiches. They were so hot and fresh, I was in heaven!!! Had a 'Signature' Beef and White Cheddar panini the other day. Astonishingly awful. Seriously. I could dig more tasty things out of our family room couch. Reminded me of why the last time we ate here was about five years ago. A $9 sandwich. I was told the beef was 'steak' but it was just an unseasoned grey slice of deli beef. Literally a folded over single slice of beef. The white cheddar was cold despite the 'panini'. The 'carmelized' onions were far from it, comprising unseasoned briefly sautéed red onion slices that were more grey than brown. And the horseradish sauce? If only there was some flavor to mask the absolute lack of quality and seasoning. I still have no idea what people see in this place. I have yet to have anything here that was worth the price. Sandwiches should be called 'Bread sandwiches with a meat and cheese garnish'. Perhaps the soups are good but there's isn't anything interesting here to justify a return just for soup, or salads, etc. which look rather underwhelming considering the price. Boudin just opened down the street and the difference is night and day. Ike's across the street makes $9 sandwiches that you can't wait to have again. You pick two was a great affordable option, now it comes up closer nien dollars.i am not paying 4$ for a little bowl of soup! To be honest, I used to go to panera very often, maybe 2 a week. But now it's closer to once every 2 months. The quality went down and so did the overall expirence because of just everything. Half the time they don't have the correct bread for there sandwich, and they give me there crappy leftover from most likely the morning, instead of giving me an option. I'm a regular here. The food is by no means amazing, but the bread and pastries are delicious. Also, I like the atmosphere, the free wifi, and the fact that they let me use a table and do my homework here for well over an hour between getting off work and heading to my evening classes at De Anza College. The music is great and even when they're busy, it's not crazy loud. I see a lot of people here conducting business meetings and collaborating on projects. read more

Having been here twice, I must say I am impressed with Panera Bread. It's like a warm deli/cafe/lunch place/free wifi all together. The seatings very spacious and awesome, the menu is great, and the service itself is fantastic. First visit: first time here so I was timid and scared shitless. The lady helping me looked deep into my eyes like a vicious man bear pig ready to kill me. I ordered the mozerella and cheese panini. Had no meat, I was sad. Was quite filling though and if you're a vegetarian you may or may not enjoy it. Personally I thought it had too much butter in it which made me feel sick. Second visit: Frontega chicken. Om nom nom, ate that shit up like the feast after Ramadan. Delicious, perfect, way to go. My only complaint is what the hell are those pagers for when the food comes out maybe less than a minute after your order. I swear they're faster than mcdonalds here, and quite frankly the foods much better as well. Nice place for a lunch or perhaps dinner, also a very nice place to set up your laptop and/or meet with classmates/coworkers to discuss whatever. read more

We used to go to Panera regularly for the Cobb Salad. Since the pandemic we haven't been eating out. We decided to do the curbside pickup and were excited to have the salad again. We were so disappointed. The "full" sized salad was extremely small. Good thing we didn't order 1/2 salads. There was hardly any chicken or bacon in them. I have sort of a conflicted relationship with Panera. On one hand, it's near my office. On the other, it's pretty much impossible to get lunch there without being served some quantity of bread (yeah, I KNOW the place is called Panera Bread, just hush!). Even if you order the soup & half salad combo, EVEN when I tell them I want the apple option instead, I *always* have this hunk of bread staring me down. When I want a bagel, I come here. Why? I'm addicted to the 'everything bagel'. I don't like them from anywhere else. All other places (Noah's, Posh, Manhattan, Einstien's, etc) have rye seeds on their 'everything bagel' and it gives it a strong, sour (?) taste. PB doesn't have the rye seed on them. I also like the 1/2-1/2 deal (choose 2 from 1/2 soup, 1/2 salad, and 1/2 sandwich). The OJ is good too. One thing I dislike is their panini sandwiches. They aren't fresh since they are premade. Today, there were two workers at the counter picking up food to deliver to tables. The woman dropped some utensil on the floor, picked it up, and put it back on the plate for the (un)lucky customer. This is shocking on so many levels. One, the floor is disgusting. Two, you could literally get a new one without moving since you were already at the counter. Three, your male coworker who was standing there sadly did not do or say anything, making me think this is commonplace. This location has slowly gone downhill and this is the final straw. I guess we will be making our own sandwiches from now on. Panera is an interesting place. I went here on a Wednesday night and it was packed with presumably De Anza students. I don't blame them since they boast free Wi-Fi. The place is oddly laid out. It feels like one half has the seating chart of a fast food place with the other half is like a stripped-down Chili's. The service is quick and the sandwiches are pretty tasty, but it is pretty pricey. $8 for a sandwich and an apple? I understand that this is comparable price-wise to something like Le Boulanger, but the LB sandwiches feel more substantial, while the Panera ones seem more "gourmet". Nevertheless, it's a decent place to go. The fact that it was pretty packed on a Wednesday night was a good sign. I'd come here again since it's only a mile from my work, but I wouldn't seek it out. read more

The sandwich and salad are fine, but the vinagrette had the subtlety of a hammer. If I didn't have a sandwich to soak it up I couldn't have finished much of it. Went to the Panera Bread on Shaw and Marty in Fresno, CA. The person in the Driveway taking our order was extremely rude. We asked if they had any souffles left for the day and she went completely silent. We asked her again because we didn't know she heard us and she said in a very rude tone hold on I'm checking. And then when we were done ordering she was extremely rude and said drive forward for your order total. We were never givin' a total, but, charged. The top two reasons why I would go to any cafe are the food and the internet. Let's review, shall we? 1. The food. I really did not like the food, but I've only tried their half sandwich + half soup deals. So maybe their coffee/pastries might be okay? But my general feeling about the food I've tried is that they just try a bit too hard. - The Fuji Apple salad is a really weird mix of ingredients, and I would not order it again. The apple chips plus the apple dressing are overwhelmingly sweet, and the gorgonzola cheese is just jarring. - I usually really like chicken salad sandwiches, but the one at Panera is nothing special. And I thought chicken salad wasn't that hard to mess up! It was just a lot of nothing. Bland, but filling, I guess. 2. The internet. Sure it's free, but you have to re-sign in every 30 minutes. It's just annoying, especially if you're VPN-ing with a corporate network to get some work done. It's really hard to be productive with the internet kicking you off so often. Panera does have good attributes like cleanliness and lots of tables, but internet trumps all when it comes to a cafe. It's just not an ideal place to go with a laptop in tow. read more

Panera is one of my favorite and most friendly places to grab a good meal or snack, park my butt, and flip open the laptop for some free wireless access. There are lots of tables for people. Panera has great sandwiches and salads that are very different than other ho hum places (http://www.panerabread.com/menu.aspx) and really good breads and bagels, pastries, cookies, muffins. If you like chocolate cookies, try the chocolate duet - man, I'm addicted to those. (Just don't look at the calorie and fat content on the website!) Friendly, bright, and comfortable environment to have lunch or a snack and chat with an old friend. Only gripe is that the parking lot is tiny and hard to find a space during busy times. read more

This is my go-to spot for lunch when I am indecisive. I always get the half sandwich and soup/salad combo. I'm a huge fan of their Tomato & Mozzarella panini. I'm also a huge fan of bacon, so I usually add bacon to this sandwich. It's almost like a BLT, but more fattening because I justify that basil is like lettuce; being that they're both vegetables. This Panera doesn't care about customers. I wanted to get dinner there for some quick takeout, however they have their catering truck parked in the 15 minute parking. It was there at 4pm, I calls and spoke to a "manager" who said she would have someone move it. Dropped by at 5:40 and the truck is still parked in the 15 min parking. I went by again just now (7:45pm) for coffee and the truck is still there. It's often hard to park there as there a few spaces and these people obviously don't care if customers come or not for to-go takeout. If you guys don't care about customers then I guess Boudins will get my $$. read more

Touch screen ordering machine doesnt have a chip card reader, so I created my entire order before realizing that I would have to go wait in line for the counter, small bummer. While I waited for my food to take out I was able to hear the girls in the kitchen talking, and I overheard that they were working on my order. I then heard them chatting about non work related things as the oven beeped on in the background. Someone called, whats that beeping?! And I heard them whisper and then say, "we're going to have to remake it". Then they said loudly, "Sorry sir for your order kinda disassembled in the over, we're going to have to remake it!". I got my sandwich and it was pretty good, and made right, but I'm pretty sure they burned the first sandwich. I also heard them ask each other, "who wants a chicken caesar? I messed one up." I just think maybe the girls working that night need a refresher in staying focused on the task at hand and putting their job before talking about their personal lives. read more
