Panera used to be my 'go to.' Last night I ordered Turkey BLT. My order included extra tomatoes and bacon. My sandwich contained turkey, 3 thinly sliced tomatoes, 2 sliced bacon that appeared to be pre-pack cooked bacon, and a smattering of emerald greens. I didn't receive extra tomatoes or bacon. I did order an apple that had a large soft spot. This was a Door Dash order. I will not reorder and I live across the street. People use Door Dash a lot here and I rarely see Panera delivered here anymore here anymore. read more

The dressing also seemed less flavorful. When they took our order they didn't ask for a name or give us a pager. We had to try to figure out which order was ours. We (the three of us) ordered from the 2 item menu. 1/2 soup and 1/2 sandwich or bowl! The 3 cups of autumn squash soup was full price, I ordered the teriyaki chicken bowl (1/2 bowl cuz it is the 2 item menu) and was charged 6.39 for the soup and 12.99 for the bowl. The menu in this place is intentionally confusing. The full bowl is only a dollar more. $60 bucks for the 1/2 soup and 1/2 sandwich menu for 3 people. Fuck that. No going back there! Im so glad they have hot soup and hot sandwiches. Today, I went for the pick 2 menu and ordered regular Mac n cheese with the turkey chili. Mac n cheese is always soo cheesy and so good! Best I've had yet! I'm not too fond of the chili as I'm not a fan of the extra beans in it. The regular beans in my chili is just fine, but it didn't take the taste away from the chili itself. Customer service is almost always available and ready to answer questions. I do love that about Panera and they somehow manage to keep their tables clean and the napkins and spoons filled. Panera, generally speaking has the great appeal of serving real food nearly as quickly as fast food for a reasonable price. Truly, this stuff tastes like it came right out of a home kitchen. For menu items, the Wild Rice soup is a must try, and the chocolate breakfast pastry is not to be missed. Coming down to the Edina Southtown location, for speed it's not one of the best. More than once I have come for a pick up order only to find it not ready yet. Lines that at weekend lunch can twist to the outside door are not handled with great speed. The crowds here at peak times are thicker than any Panera I have seen. Worst is when they get behind on wiping tables and things look grubby. The staff is very polite, the restrooms are always clean, and at this location you can even park reasonably close to the door. Pick up the pace and wipe tables a little more often and you'd have a great location. read more

I happened to be in the area running some errands, which included my needing to pick up an order at Lane Bryant located in Yorktown Mall. I and my husband wanted to get something for lunch, and I suggested we order some food from Panera Bread. When i went inside, I noticed there was a self-service electronic kiosk where I could place my order, so that's what I did. I, then, went to the back of the store and waited for my food to be made, bagged, and tagged. There is a screen that lists customers' names, notifying them when their food is being preparing and when it's ready. When a customer's food is ready, their bag is placed either on the counter or inside a cubbyhole where to-go orders are placed so they can be picked up. My husband ordered a whole steak and white cheddar panini sandwich and a whole avocado Cobb with chicken salad. I decided to order a combination from the You Pick 2 menu, which consisted of a half roasted turkey with avocado BLT sandwich and a side of mac and cheese. Mahva J. told me how good is the mac and cheese at Panera, so i had to try it, and, as per usual, she was right! :) It was delicious, rich, creamy, cheesy, and flavorful! I dipped my baguette (per her instructions, also) in the cheese sauce, too. When I return to Panera, I will have to get a large-sized container of mac and cheese! LOL The sandwich was just OK, but it fit the bill. My husband enjoyed his food quite a lot, from what he told me. I liked that there is a working fireplace inside. I was shopping with my son and we had a hankering for something good. Since we were in Edina, I suggested Panera. My son never refuses to go there. He got the tomato soup and grilled cheese. I got my standard order of the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad. I guess these are standard orders for us both. My son stated that the tomato soup is always creamy and he can feel it coating his insides with love at every spoonful. He likes to dunk the sandwich into the soup, then finish the soup on its own. The grilled cheese is cheesy, but not too cheesy. The bread is nicely toasted without being too crisp. There's nothing worse than a dried-out, over-cooked grilled cheese sandwich. That would make my son weep, as it is his favorite sandwich. I'm sure that many people have had the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad. I love it because I get to have the sweet and savory combination that I love so much. The dried apples are crunchy without having lost their flavor and balance nicely with the dressing. I always get the dressing on the side because they give you way too much. I've never used both of the containers. The dressing brings out all of the flavors of the ingredients in the salad and I love the crunch of the lettuces. To me, loud salads are simply the best. Also, order your salad to go, even if you're eating it. It never fails that I can't finish it, and I don't want to have to ask for a container. read more

I stopped in between errands (Target and Joann's) for a smoothie and a sandwich. It's hard for me to find good vegetarian or dairy-free options in Minnesota, so I really appreciated there being several options I could order on the menu. My cashier also kindly listed off ingredients for me when I asked. My sandwich was phenomenal (modern caprese) and my peach and blueberry smoothie is a good, unexpected mix of flavors. (I'd take a picture, but it's gone, folks!) While enjoying my food, I saw my cashier helping a deaf couple order their food by performing ASL with them. I'm so glad Panera is supporting such educated young employees. Only negative is that the bus boys looked bored and didn't look at me when I thanked them, but I'll be back to this Panera in no time. I go to Panera Breads throughout the country to grab pastries and cookies for my customers prior to meeting with them. On my way to Best Buy's Corporate office, I stopped by this Panera to grab 14 cookies for the group. Denese waited on me and was extremely rude and acted like she was doing me a favor. That's fine, we all have bad days. The total came to $44.99? Again, I place an order similar to this a few times a month so this seemed off? I asked and she said unless you get all the same cookies, they don't offer any type of "6 for $" etc. I knew this was incorrect but had a meeting to get to. I called later in the day and spoke to the manager who said she was sorry for the customer service that I received, however, 14 cookies does cost $44.99. Fast forward to this week where I place the same order at a Panera Bread in Brentwood, TN. 14 cookies for $23.29. This specific one sometimes gives my daughter free baked goods which is super sweet of them and always keeps me coming back. Would not bring the food up to the apartment then responded to our comments with a "yawn" icon when told that the person who ordered has a disability. We had a bag of scones in our bag that we did not order as well as 2 cookies and a brownie that were not ordered. The bread that was a side for my soup was laying at the bottom of the bag without being wrapped and had three bags of chips on top of it. Maybe things are better if you actually go to the Panera but they had better think again about their delivery orders. From now on, tips will not go on the card. What makes it better is the fact that I don't have to make it! The best part of Panera is the asiago cheese bread! We always get a loaf of it to take home. Tried the Pick 2 menu, with Frontega Chicken Sandwich (half) and Broccoli cheddar soup. The soup was delicious definitely which is the reason in the first place I came here for lunch. The Sandwich/panini not the greatest. Also the size is way too small for this meal which was about $9. Wife tried the tomato basil soup along with the Roasted Turkey sandwich which was meh, not the greatest, she didn't like it either. I have tried their Alfredo pasta in the past which is bland too. Don't know what people like about Panera so much. However, I will give them a cheers for the service. This location is right across my apartment and so makes it convenient, but in the past I have always seen a lot of crowd here and so have avoided this place. I didn't have to wait too much even though there was a decent crowd in today. So yes, they do get the food out hot and timely. I do feel they should innovate their menu though. read more

My family and I went to Panera for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. First of all, they ran out of the dressing that went with one of their specialty salads. It went downhill from there. While we were eating our meals, a man stole my mom's wallet. None of the employees helped, or even seemed to care about what happened. We called the cops. They should really install some cameras by the door! I know someone else who got their wallet stolen at this location, so just be aware of your surroundings. read more

I frequent this location and have never had any major issues. I have noticed they are ALWAYS out of cream cheese. I have been in a handful of times in the last few weeks and they have had a very limited selection of cream cheese, which is a bummer. I adore their chai tea latte, as it has a bit more spice to it and isn't too sweet like many other companies. I was incredibly bummed that this morning I went to buy a bagel, a chai and a egg white, avocado and spinach breakfast sandwich. I was informed that they had only plain and reduced fat plain cream cheese. I skipped the bagel and only had the chai and the sandwich. From the time it took me to place my order and walk out the door was over 10 minutes, which was a long wait for Panera. The kitchen often runs slower and the pick up area is often congested.
