I'm usually not a big fan of Panera Bread, but this location is pretty awesome. I ordered from the kiosk, and when ordering multiple meals, the kiosk can get confusing. I got the Mediterranean bowl with chicken, and it was awesome. Unfortunately the kiosk didn't give a receipt, so I didn't realize I ordered two. The manager saw the error, and refunded me the money with no questions asked. This little act impressed me because it was my error, not theirs, and even though it was a very busy time, they still had time to treat me like a valued customer. read more

The management at this location is the absolute worst. out of the last 3 times I've been here, I've waited 45 minutes+ for my orders. If you're stranded and need food around mealtimes, don't even bother. They are horrendously understaffed. I'll never go to this location ever again, considering just never going back to Panera Bread period. Want to place a mobile order? Prepare yourself to wait 1-1.5hrs+. Oh, and pray they get your order right, because it often is incorrect and cold. Completely unacceptable for a company with the amount of resources that Panera has. Ordered drive through and the employees are incompetent. I waited 10 mins for my order and had to walk inside to get it and they hadn't even put the order in. The manager gave me half the refund. When I got home realized they did not give me my soda and the sandwich was disgusting. Second time something like this happens here. I think they need to get people that know what they are doing in there. It's a shame that there are so many people that don't have skills to make a simple order. I visited this location for the first time today and it will definitely be my last and I'll explain why. The lady at the front register was a delight so this doesn't pertain to her however the kitchen staff was an embarrassment. While I was standing in the front trying to place my order I had to keep asking the woman to repeat herself because the kitchen staff was extremely loud and obnoxious to the point the manager had to yell at them "yo yo lower your volume". My friend and I finally made it to where we picked up our food and the conversation topics were not suitable for work when customers are standing waiting for their orders. The icing on the cake was after I received my food my friend was patiently waiting for hers but because the crew was so engaged in their conversation didn't even bother to tell her that the order was ready. I have been back to this location many times and things have been better. When there are still issues with my order, I call the location and they take care of it. I don't remember her name, but the manger that I have spoken to a few times is very nice and takes control of the issues. read more

Ordered from kiosk but after waiting 20 minutes and asking about our order we we were told kiosk was down and they never received our order even though we were charged. Last time here they didn't put bacon on my sandwich but didn't tell me they were out. Also, tables tend to be dirty. Not the best run Panera. read more

Panera is the same wherever you go, so there is nothing too special about this one. The rapid pick up is always on time, and I've never had any issues with the food. Over all, good service, pretty clean, and pretty good food. read more

They forgot to provide any dressing for my Caesar salad, also forgot to provide the pumpkin cookie I ordered. Unlike most Paneras, this one has been pretty disappointing thus far. I wish people luck, especially the other students that come here. read more

Overall, I like The food at Panera and that you can order via the App. However, the service here is awful!! Ninety-five percent of the time they screw up the order. I have complained and the next order was perfect. However most of the subsequent orders have had mistakes. This was the WORST Panera I've ever been to. First, they were out of roasted turkey which is in almost all of their sandwiches. When I asked if I could substitute roasted chicken, I was told there would be a charge of $1.80. Then, we waited 35 minutes for our food. And when I went up to the counter and saw my food waiting and ready, they wouldn't let me take it. It took an additional 5 minutes for them to deliver it to our table. This place is great very clean and pretty quick service. It's also very convenient especially for TCNJ students. The only issue is if you are a student you're meal plan points are not accepted at panera. Other than that it's quality service and food! read more

While visiting a friend at TCNJ last night, I realized that I had to register for my classes for next semester at 10 pm. As there was nowhere else in the area with WiFi, my friend and I took refuge in this Panera location, at around 9:50, a mere 10 minutes before the location closed. Class registration could, and should, easily take 2-3 minutes to complete, however, the portal I was using decided that I could wait at least 25. Although we overstayed our welcome at Panera by a solid 20 minutes, the staff did not mind us being there at all. They even kept the fireplace on, setting the mood for a very romantic evening for us both, regardless of the fact that we did not even purchase food there. Overall, I felt very welcomed in this location. Nobody was rude, annoyed, or even politely asking for us to leave after the restaurant was officially closed. Next time I come here I will definitely buy food! read more

I've had problems with this Panera before, it seems like there's no communication among the staff and overall management seems to be very poor. Would not recommend, go to the Panera in Lawrenceville or just go to wawa instead. read more

They always seem to get the salad wrong. Last time I went they forgot to include the nuts in the salad. I went back today and ordered the same salad and explained that last time no nuts weren't added and to make sure it's there this time. This time I got extra nuts and no crumbled cheese. Quite annoying bc when an ingredient is missing the salad doesnt taste the same. I've never had this experience at any other Paneras. This one is closest to my house so I hope they get with the program but for now I am very annoyed that I have to be telling them how to make their own salad. --- update , it has gotten better so I've upgraded to 4 stars :) read more

Several of the people working here seem to have no idea what they are doing. Darius totally salvages this location! He was friendly and helpful to all of the customers, which was a sharp contrast to the rest of the employees. The food was done well -- despite being a chain, the locations tend to vary a lot in food quality. This place was one of the better Paneras I've been in, foodwise. read more

Absolutely no quality control in this Panera. Multiple times I have received the wrong order or have waited over an hour to get my food. My food is always cold too. The staff has been understanding, but the same issues should not happen again and again. I've come back multiple times thinking it will be different but it never is. The problem with this location is that it's unfortunately staffed by the local college students and they have zero sense of professionalism or any idea on how to hold down a job. When I went to college, which was less than ten years ago, I worked my behind off to be able to afford to go out & do fun things with my friends. I did it with a smile and although it wasn't the most glamorous I certainly wasn't fooling around & giggling & ignoring customers when speaking with them. The food was well.... 2 end pieces of stale over cooked bread & no bread for grilled cheese, which they told me ahead of time, and then I said just use what you have so they tore a piece in half. Meager portion sizes, slow service and high cost all in one location. I got a barbecue chicken flatbread..... but there was so little chicken it was pathetic. My daughter got an Italian hero that had 3 slices of meat and 1of cheese....total. We paid 28 dollars for 3 meals and even my wife's bread bowl was more like a bread cup.... we left hungry and stopped at a Burger King to re-eat lunch after not being nearly sated by Panera. I love Panera food and I wish I could use this location, because it's just a mile from where I live. But I've been there around 20 times, always for Rapid Pickup, and there was only ONE time when they didn't make some sort of mistake with my order. I'm so tired of their incompetence. You must check every single thing before you leave. Once I thought they at last had everything right, started to walk away, and the bottom dropped out of my bag and all the order fell to the floor. Turned out they had spilled soup inside the bag and just left it to sit that way, so it soaked through the bag, which fell apart after I picked it up. Today I ordered the lentil soup and it was 99% broth, with just a few measly lentils at the bottom. I mean really--how hard is it to ladle soup right? I also paid extra to get the fresh fruit cup side and they gave me the baguette instead. Employees just don't care and don't read the orders. Complaints go nowhere, so it's ultimately a matter of poor management. From now on I'll just drive all the way to the next-closest location--Princeton--for my Panera orders. read more

I work at a local business in the area and we always order from here because it's close and sometimes fast if there's not too much with our order, there's almost ALWAYS something wrong with it. But there is 1 girl that works the drive thru (usually morning) that actually seems to know how to treat customers and has common sense unlike everyone else we see that usually give an attitude or have poor customer service tactics. When your order is wrong and you say something, they tend to get annoyed with you like it's your fault when it's right on the receipt! We enjoy the food for the most part but the majority of the employees are rude and don't care about customers at all. Seems like they pick the most rude people to work the window. The food is typical Panera. If you want to get takeout do rapid pickup as they are not set up to handle crowds at peak times very well. Do you want to eat in? You will find (1) dirty tables, (2) poor layout (take your sweetener from the front if you want to sweeten your iced tea which is in the back, (3) a poorly laid out parking lot. The workers who take your order tend to be uniformly untrained which is different from other Paneras. Not sure what is going on here but the level of service and training for people who take your order seems to be below the norm. It also appears that some of the managers who opened the place aren't around so in my recent visits things were even worse. read more

This place is very inconsistent. DON'T EVER order the lemonade because it tastes likes there is soap in it. I have been a fan of Panera and am a frequent customer. I have never had a bad incident concerning the food and quality of preparation until this one opened near my job. The lemonade flavored soap is something that happens quite frequently. The first time it happened I thought it was a fluke but after a few weeks I ordered another and it was so bad that there was soap foam in on the lid of the cup. Concerning the menu, these people here seem to be clueless about what comes with meals and have forgotten items many times. Now before I pull of I check to make sure my order is complete and 4 out of 5 times they have forgotten something that I ordered. Also there have been occasions where I was given stale bread and sour dressing. For the cost I expect a little better in service and quality of food. I am not complaining on Panera as a brand because I love the food and majority of restaurants that I have been to have been outstanding. I am complaining about this location in Ewing NJ. We went through the drive-thru on Sunday night and they forgot to include our baguettes that we requested as our sides (to go with two orders of soup). First off, this place does not even deserve 1 star. Now, where do I start? First off, the food is way overpriced for the amount of food you are getting. The whole "clean food" angle is just a way to charge ridiculous prices for the small amount of food you get. Secondly, hearing the employees dropping the f-bomb loud enough that children can hear it is unacceptable. Lastly, the employees (including managers) need to stop standing around on their cellphones and do some work. Work does not mean just making food when customers order it. Work also includes making sure things are stocked and cleaned at all times. There have been many times when I have walked into the restaurant and notice how dirty the floors are and how dirty the tables are. My overall experiences at different Panera's and especially this one have been horrible. If this is how all Panera's are run, I would not be surprised if Panera went out of business. read more

I am not usually one to write reviews but I just had the WORST experience at the campus town Panera drive through. First, the person taking my order seemed to have no idea how to even ask someone how to take an order, leaving me to fill in the blanks of what he forgot to ask me. Second, I pulled up to the window and paid like normal which was fine, and waited for my chicken frontega panini to be finished. it took about five minutes before the window opened again, which is fine I dont mind the wait as long as the food is good. Then the girl handed me my food and actually asked me "Did you pay yet?" Like girl you were the one who charged me. Ive done fast food before and its not that hard to track whether or not someone has paid when they actually have. that is what the computer system is for. So i answer yes of course I paid and left. the worst part is about to happen when I finally get home to open up my panini, and was super excited to eat it until I see they have not given me the chips I asked for. Second, the worst part of all they didnt even put any of the cheese on the panini so it was just a warm sandwich of chicken, onions and tomatoes essentially. It was all over the box when I opened it up too. SUPER UNSATISFIED CUSTOMER! Super upset that someone actually neglected to put the CHEESE on the panini! and I didnt even get the chips I asked for. All in all, WORST Panera experience ever and NOT worth paying over 10 fucking dollars for in the end. read more
