This Panera brings great value to travelers using Nashville Airport. It's a mere three minute drive to the terminal and the only non-fast food, or greasy chain in the area where folks can grab something quick to bring with them on the plane rather than paying for poor-quality and overpriced items available in the terminal. While it might seem far fetched to some to come here with good service and better value it's a 10-minute side trip that's attractive to others. As with all Panera's it's clean, prices are fair and there's free wifi, too. It's a great place to come kill a bit of time before a flight if you have it. Also, consider there's no risk of traffic between this location and the airport. No time on the interstate is required. Consider this next time you're coming to the airport and need a quick bite or a sandwich to bring along for the air time. read more

So disappointed in this Panera, being the Panera lover I'am this has been the worst place I have ever received service. I ordered a chicken chipotle avocado melt and it seemed like they put no effort into making it. I received a chunk of avocado in my sandwich which should usually be sliced and the chipotle sauce was just on the corner of the sandwich. Just a darn waste! This Panera Bread location is awesome. It is my 2nd time here and this place does not disappoint. The first time was right at closing and they were just as courteous and accommodating as you would expect early in the day. Our 2nd time here tonight we accidentally put the order in for wrong location. They graciously accepted our order and quickly filled even though they did not need to. I've noticed their weekday shift is always accurate, the food is delicious & delivery is on time. However, now that I work at night and go in the evenings I've noticed a huge difference. I've stopped ordering because I had an order estimated to be here (--~5 min away) in 30 minutes...I kid you not it was over an hour before it was here. My email notifications had said it was on its way, then delivered, then it just went back to being on its way for 45 minutes. No explanation or apology from the driver. When I can get away to go pick up food I've noticed the sandwiches aren't built as well as when I ordered during lunch...they'll be half fallen apart, ingredients missing, barely any dressing. My coworkers have had missing items or wrong ingredients on their orders. Last night I got the wrong soup and half of my whole chicken salad sandwich didn't have any chicken salad on it. I think this is the universe's way of telling me I need to stop spending money getting lunch out! read more

What's up with quality here? Really bad. I got a small mac n cheese and it was cold! Salad box was half full - seriously like 1/2 cup of salad and 2 tiny wedges of tomato (Greek). So I just left this location and the food deserved 5/10 stars. The customer service was the most wild thing my boyfriend and I have ever experienced. He got a bowl of French onion soup and the spoon that he was given was crusted with dried food and questionable other things, no big deal, he went and asked for another one and was told by the guy in the kitchen that it was ACTUALLY clean but just stained and that most of their silverware looked like that. Then after he was given a plastic spoon to eat his soup, the cashier plugged in the vacuum and started vacuuming the area that we and the only other guest in the restaurant were sitting at. She then asked the single man who was working on his laptop if he could get up so she could vacuum under his chair!!! My boyfriend and I lost it, considering we have both worked in the food industry and customer service for years. Someone retrain and teach these pitiful people about customer service! read more

The Donelson Panera Bread by Thomas Nelson Publishers is a good breakfast stop for me on the way to catch a morning flight at BNA. It is one of the newer Paneras in Nashville and has a better layout and bountiful plugs for smartphone charging before departure. The counter staff was even sharper at checkout than some other Paneras I have enjoyed and the line moved quickly. Yeah, I normally love me a Panera Bread, but I'm kinda done with this location until I hear that it has turned around. It's not just one thing; it was everything. My god, the place is only about a year old and it's already disgusting. It seriously smells like wet dog near the beverages. I thought it was a smelly customer, but nooo, it's all the way into the ladies room. My sweet tea tasted old, or like the brewer or container hasn't been cleaned. I took the first bite of my steak sandwich and was all "where's the beef?" I opened it up and saw two small lumps of steak that didn't even cover the bread. I have been to this location 3 times since it's opened and have yet to be able to order any food. First of all, the drive-thru is created in such a way that once you pull in, you cannot leave the line. You will have to back out if no one is behind you. Why is that important? Well, because two out of my three visits I've stopped at this Panera to order a PLAIN BAGEL at approximately 8:15 am (breakfast time); either they did not have any bagels at all (Bread Company...yeah right) or did not have plain ones. The first time this happened, I was able to back out of the drive-thru without having to wait in line behind the other cars. Well, today, I had to wait over 15 minutes in line behind other cars without even having placed an order because I was stuck. (eg. 2 visits, no food). On another visit to this location (during lunch time), I was in line for 10 minutes and was still 3 cars back before I would have reached the order speaker. Fortunately, the car behind me backed out so I was able to back out as well. No one has 20-30 minutes to wait in line for a simple soup or sandwich on their lunch break! My husband and I love Panera, and we were super excited when this one opened up! A drive thru? YES! However the love has worn off because they never have anything! They are always out of either the soup we want or the baguettes, or the bread for one of our sandwiches. It's even worse because if you change your mind and decide not to order (because they have nothing) you can't get out of the drive thru! You are blocked in! Very disorganized. My boss called in an order for 5 people at 10:30AM, to be picked up at noon. I went with her to assist carrying the order back to the office. A list of things that went wrong after that: 1 When we arrived at noon, the order was not ready. We were told, however, that it was almost ready and just needed to be bagged. She paid and we waited near the entrance. 2 15 minutes later, with others waiting for lunch at the office, no word on our order. 3 She tried to go back to the register to check on the order, while I went to check to see if our order was in the carry out window. Nothing. Furthermore, the boss was stuck another 5-10 minutes behind a customer demanding a refund. 4 When she finally got to the counter, we found out our order was ready, but no one had bothered to tell the counter that it was ready to go. 5 The order was brought out, looking like food for 5 people was smashed into a bag made for 2 orders. 6 The clerk offered 5 cinnamon rolls for our inconvenience. Fine. However, the rolls ended up being crammed into the bottom of a larger bag with our original order crammed on top. 7 the clerk then darted to the back to get us utensils, which for some bizarre reason took another 5 minutes. He also put in utensils for 25 people into the already full bag. 8 When we finally arrived back at the office, we were treated to one wrong order, room temperature soup and a panini that looked like it had been stepped on. Yes, it was crowded at lunch there, but that's no excuse for horrendous service and terrible communication, especially for an order that had been called in an hour and a half early. This location is not that old contrary to previous post., built in the last five years. On to the review. The parking lot is a nightmare at lunchtime, many times you cannot find a parking space. The customer service here is terrible. Every time I go here something is wrong with my order. The staff overall is friendly but they have an attitude. And for some reason Panera has decided they are better than other restaurants and they do not have to answer the phone, it goes to a call center. You would think when the don't have to deal with phone calls they would have time to get your order right. Not every problem can be solved by a remote call center representative. It just seems like no one at this location knows the first thing about GOOD customer service nor do they care. And for some reason they have a grandiose attitude about themselves when they cannot get a single order right! read more

The girl who greeted me--much to her chagrin--seemed impatient and slightly put out that i did not immediately place my order with her. There were no people waiting behind me. When i asked her a question about the general size of a half-order, she said "do i need to bring you the bowl or something?" No, a simple hand gesture would have done. I went through the drive thru on a cold rainy Friday night and was greeted by a very kind young man named Fred who was both friendly and helpful. I asked for a small green tea which he said he had ran out of small cups so he would give me a large for the price of a small and with very little wait gave me my order with every item I ordered to my specifications and I left with a big enough smile from the whole encounter I had to write this review. The world needs more Freds and Fred is what makes my local Donelson Panera one of my favorite spots to frequent. read more

When asking the man who was running the kitchen for bread and chips that were not given with our meal, he had an attitude and mumbled something under his breath. I visited this location on February 28th 2019 around 7 am for coffee and yogurt. The workers in the drive thru were extremely unprofessional in their behavior. They were very loud obnoxious and rude. I witness the worker take a very long time with my debit card and appear very nervous as he handed it and my coffee back to me. I called the store within minutes after my leaving the drive thru to report my discomfort with the experience and to express my suspicion of a violation but no one answered. My debit card information was collected and saved by the employee at this location. Charges of a total were made onlind to OfferUp $227, hexin tech 54.65, Hibbett sports 196.65, kids footlocker 128.89, Antioch, Tn Wingstop 14.63, online retailer North first street for the amounts of 98.01, 35.42, and 217.86. I ordered many times from Panera Bread for professional trainings, community events, and personally. I have been satisfied each time. Today was another story. I went through the drive-through line on Royal Parkway to place 3 orders. I was refused service, being told they only take two orders per car in the drive-through lane. I explained there are no signs posted regarding this policy and I am now stuck in line. The employee taking orders explained she is only an employee and cannot take my order. I waited until everyone in front of me received their order. Then I parked my car and physically went into the store and placed 3 sandwich orders. When I asked the Assistant Manager about this 2-order per car policy, she told me this is Panera's corporate policy and gave me the number to call Panera if I had a problem, her name, her manager's name, and the Panera store number. If they are so overwhelmed that they cannot process three sandwiches without the customer physically going into the store, they need to post a sign reflecting this 2-order per car policy or they can simply shut down the drive-through line and only process walk-in customers. , read more

This is without a doubt the nastiest Panera's I have ever been in and I have been to many! Was there when the doors opened and apparently the closing crew just locked the doors and went home. The floors hadn't been swept much less mopped! The outside area had food laying everywhere around the seats! There apparently is no management at this location! First of all, the individual working the drive-through was unbelievably rude. I ask him to check my Panera card because I believed I had a reward on there. He looked at me and proceeded to explain that that was a Panera rewards membership card without running it. I had to explain to him again the purpose of me giving him the card prior to knowing my total. Then I get home with my order only to realize they have left out a baguette and put extra sauce on the sandwich that we asked for no sauce on.
