Moving my mom into her new home and decided to order some Panera for lunch. Weekday so I placed the order via Grub Hub and waited. And waited. And waited. Going to say Grub Hub issues were bad with the app changing delivery time over and over again after order placed, but that's not what drove the rating for Panera. Food: How is it possible to mess up salad orders when we ordered straight off the menu? Got a chicken caesar salad and the forgot the dressing, a greek salad and they didn't put olives or feta on it, and the chicken poppyseed salad and it had no chicken, I mean not one piece. Spent $44 on lunch and delivery and entire order messed up. If we had made special orders or had requested changes to the salads I would understand but these are your menu items and you couldn't get the basics right. Salads were shoved into the bag sideways so half of one salad was in the bad and not edible. Seriously love Panera but DO NOT order from this one. And if you are using a delivery service, avoid Grub Hub. read more

I have never had a problem with Panera until tonight. I ordered a Modern Caprese sandwich. It sounded super good so I wanted to give it a try. I went to look at it and this is what I saw.... Panera please do better A black hair in my food. I paid a whole $7.85 for this sandwich and this is what I got. Extremely frustrating and gross. Bye Panera. I just made a special trip to get an egg soufflé, ordered and was waiting - suddenly the kitchen worker walks out and says, sorry sir we no longer carry those due to COVID...wait WHAT!? Why? It's makes no sense, and further why do you advertise these on the overhead menu and allow a purchase to go through? My opinion is you just don't want to make them... My usual spot for Panera Bread is located at The Forum, San Antonio. Stopped by here expecting the same type of service. Not what I was expecting... Ordered a artichoke/spinach soufflé, a Lg coffee and toasted plain beagle w/ cream cheese. Food was heated, but came out luke warm if not on the cold side. Coffee was probably an old pot (9:20am order time), it was a little late in the morning. Unfortunately I won't be back at this location. read more

This store took an online, curbside order but was closed. Took over 20 minutes to get someone on the phone from their call center to process a refund. Overall a very bad experience, the store should stick to it's posted hours, and not take orders when closed. read more

The people at the drive thru window are always nice. However, every time I go I get the same sandwich and it comes out differently every time. I order the full sandwich and sometimes I get a pickle spear, sometimes not, sometimes I get the meat folded one way and generously portioned and sometimes it is folded differently and not as much meat etc. Sometimes, they throw in a bag of chips and sometimes not. The menu board on the outside by the drive thru isn't helping you win any new customers. It doesn't have half the items on it and it hasn't changed in over a year. I have asked occasionally a question on the speaker at drive thru like "Do you have any desserts?" They don't know the answer and I don't see it on the menu board. I have to wait while they see what they have in stock I guess then they come back and say maybe one thing. Not much staff and not well trained but friendly. read more

I came in with a $15 gift card, and I was just not impressed with the high cost of the entrees or even the quality and value of the food. I got a french onion soup in a bread bowl $5.50. There was no liquid or broth in it. It was all onions and cheese. I also got a whole Thai chicken salad $9.50. There was a lot of meat in it which was all white meat, but the salad lacked flavor, and I did not like that peanut sauce on top. This building was very beautiful but with this high prices, I will not be back unless for a bagel. I was not impressed with this food or this company. read more

We stopped in here for some soup and a half of a sandwich. It had been awhile since we had eaten at a Panera Bread. It was okay, my sandwich was good, but my chicken noodle soup was just fair. It was just luke warm, almost cold. My wife said her meal was just okay also. The place was neat and clean and the staff was very nice. I really love Panera Bread, but I'm very concerned about the viability of this particular location. I frequently come in the evenings to eat dinner. If you come anytime within an hour of closing time, you'll find the staff totally occupied with cleaning and prep to close. It's disturbing because I want to have a decent dining experience, regardless of the time. Rugs will be rolled up, staff are busy and not paying attention, tables are left dirty, etc. This location has a lot of competition. In particular, Newks is very similar. I frequently decide to go elsewhere because I know Panera will always be sub-par. Step it up Panera!!! read more

Ordered "Dozen and Half" Bagels - went to pick up and was missing part of the oder because they "forgot to but them (blueberry bagels) aside." Forgot? Really. In addition, I ordered a loaf of sourdough bread sliced thin. Not only did they slice it thin, they went the extra mile and sliced it in half (length wise). Wow!! Thanks!! NOT!! Very disappointing. Bad bad bad. So the lesson here is don't order anything from Panera Bread online and you need to be standing over them making sure they get your order right. There is a reason this place has two stars. Yesterday when I was ordering through the drive thru I couldn't hear the lady speaking. I kept saying sorry I can't heart you and she was VERY rude. On top of that my food is never right. Today when I came by at 6:29 she told me when I got to the window they don't open till 6:30... and once again very rude about it.... It has been quite some time since I have eaten at a Panera Bread. We were traveling and I think my wife wanted a easy safe choice which is certainly what you get at a place like this. The restaurant was quite clean actually one of the bigger Panera I think I have ever seen. The service was prompt and the food was fresh. Why I down graded them was the absolute lack of value for the price. I did a pick 2 combo which used to be fairly reasonable and ended up paying almost $13 for mine. What I got was a very tasty good sized half salad I got the cilantro lime chicken salad. What was quite disappointing was the turkey avocado BLT. This sandwich was almost $6 and literally had one large piece of tasty roasted turkey one small slice of avocado and one piece of bacon. My wife's plain roasted turkey sandwich which was a half also was much larger and actually cheaper. Food was quite tasty as it usually is. Plenty of choices. Just amazed how expensive it has gotten. I have been here twice and I am not sure of the hype. First visit was with my family. We ordered a variety of salads, soups and sandwiches. The best thing was broccoli cheese soup. Caesar salad lacked flavor. The second time I visited we did breakfast. Basic bagels, cream cheese and coffee. Coffee was good but bagels were just fine. Nothin tasted horrible. Orders came out correct but it wasn't something that made me wanting to come back. So if you want simple sandwiches, soups and salads then this is your place. Prices are outrageous, and they seem to be getting more and more stingy and skimping on ingredients. My recent flatbread chipotle chicken and bacon pizza had so little chicken on it that I didn't even feel like it could have been more than a handful of bits of chicken. Super disappointing. Tonight's order was really frustrating. I went through the drive-through and ordered the Signature Take Chicken Salad which I thought the menu board said was a little over $10. When I got to the window and the total was over $12 I was shocked but the server said it was priced high because it was a new chef's sandwich. Of course I was expecting something fabulous. When I got home I found only a piece of pre-heated chicken on a cold bun with a little sauce--no lettuce, no parmesan crisps, nothing. For over $12?????????? I could have gotten a better chicken sandwich at McDonalds, Chic-Fil-A, or Popeye's for less money and more taste and extras. I drove back to Panera and told them what happened and that I expected a lot more than that for $12. I asked to speak to the manager who was nowhere to be found. I opened the sandwich and showed them that nothing was on it. I mashed on it so they didn't just take the same one back and put lettuce on it. I told them I wanted a fresh one made. What I got was a lukewarm patty, cold bun, a few shreds of lettuce and a few crisps. Panera used to be a good restaurant with great food and reasonable prices. This location has gone down the drain. We dined in today and the drink area has small ants/bugs over the spouts of the drinks. I told the girl working the dining area and all she said was ok. Then continued to ignore the complaint. The soup is luke warm and no spoon on your plate. Then having to ask a worker for a spoon takes them 5 minutes to get one. read more

Awful service and questionable cleaning practices. First, the restaurant closes at 9:00 PM but the staff begin cleaning and stop service at 8:30 PM last Tuesday. They are literally on clock out mode 30 minutes before they should. In addition a huge cockroach was hanging out by the self-checkout machines, our orders was incomplete and late, no one was making our food while I was waiting by the kitchen waiting area and wasn't until I checked with one of the employees that the kitchen staff realized they had an order "in progress" status on the screen. Such filth! I love Panera Bread Products, but this location is filthy dirty! I will not come back until the Management or Owners get off their booty and start cleaning. This is supposed to be healthy food, yet it leaves the customer wondering what is happening. There is dust, dirt, food, and possibly mold under each booth and table. You can see dirty pots and pans sitting around from the morning rush. I hate calling you out like this, but in Los Angeles, the Panera's are sparkling clean even the outdoor seating area. Worst experience ever! We had bought a 50 dollar gift card at Xmas time so we could get the bonus 10 dollar gift card. You just couldn't use until after the 2023. Well, we decided to use it tonight and the card was not valid. Apparently they emphasize the fact that you couldn't use until 2023 but did not emphasize that it only lasted 30 days. They would not honor it. To make things worse we got all the way home and realized they didn't give us the drink we ordered husband was so pissed he didn't even eat his sandwich. He thought they might have spit in his sandwich because we had a complaint, I don't work in the hospitality business but I do work retail. In these days and times we should be valued, appreciated customers and that did not happen. Will not go back to this particular establishment and will be taking to the manager Alexis tomorrow So disappointing Forty dollars of food in the trash. Thank you for letting me vent. I put in an order for 30 people yesterday afternoon, paid for it and everything. I order food from Panera's to take to offices as a pharmaceutical rep all the time, I have spent thousands at this location alone. I showed up at the office where it was supposed to be delivered and NOTHING! I called and the person answering in the phone put me on hold forever before finally hanging up on me! When I finally got the manager on the phone turns out the manager that took my order the day before but the previous days date on it. When nobody came to get it why didn't someone call????? I was given a smoothie today that was not what I ordered. I told the gentleman at the window he was " like that's what you ordered. And shut the window.. I drove off tasted and yep it wasn't what I ordered I called him on the car phone with my 7 year old granddaughter listening. I explained to the manager who I found out from taking to him was the gentleman at the window that I still didn't get what I ordered and that I would like my money back he said man if you come back we will make you the same one over.
