To my surprise when I came to eat at the Panera in Heathbrook for a late lunch. Some man was sleeping at one of the tables in the middle of the dining room. We have stopped by a few times in the last few months. Service is a bit slow, many young teens working - more like yapping away as they prepare meals. NEVER AGAIN, I have gone to Panera two times in the state and my first experience was actually very good. I came here today and had an awful experience. First off I wanna start saying the door is right next to the kiosk so as soon as you try to walk in, there's a line and people just standing in the way there was also quite a bit of a line register and one person working. The floors were very messy. I did see somebody walking around, trying to clean although it wasn't very efficient. When we got our food, I noticed that people were getting fruit cups, which were not being offered on the kiosk so I asked if I could switch out my chips for the fruit and the manager said yes, and charge me extra for the fruit which was necessary and she was kind but then when I looked under the fruit and I realize that I had expired two days ago. It took about 10 minutes just to get our parfait which is fine because they were only about four people trying to cook and serve everybody. Now, as far as the food went, you could've probably just bought the heat and serve one at the store and it would taste the same. The baguettes tasted like they have been out for 20 days. I don't know what I was expecting from this as it is a fast food restaurant in essence, but this was a completely different experience and was not what I expected. read more

Nice Panera location located near Dicks, Barnes and Noble, and a shopping mall area. Nice seating wraps around the outside. As with most they offer a nice selection of fresh baked pastries, breads and cookies along with hot and cold drinks, salads, soup, and sandwhich options. As it's a chain across the land you know what to expect. Decent for a quick easy lunch while shopping close by. read more

When walking in I noticed all the fresh baked pastries, breads and cookies. There was a small line of people but we were waited on quickly. Coffee was hot and fresh. The restaurant was clean and the employees greeted us. All the employees were busy, but still found time to greet each customer and make sure their order was correct. Very slow cashiers that are not very familiar with the menu items offered and are not good at urging indecisive customers to make informed choices. As a result, lines are VERY LONG (the line was out the door at 3 pm- which is not even during a rush!!!) The management should make sure that the 3 cashier stations are manned at all times to avoid this problem. The sandwiches are good, and the full tuna sandwich is served with a decent salted roll and chips. Adding a sweet roll will complement the sandwich nicely. If bread gives you indigestion - welcome to hell. Chicken tortellini (hold the chicken) is pretty much the only thing I can get here. I get it without the chicken because it's a dollar cheaper and you don't have to gnaw on dry chicken. Make sure to check your receipt though. There's been a couple instances where the food came out right but got charged the full amount (for chicken) and had to speak to manager to get it resolved. Then I get back a whole dollar bill. Reading the reviews from this location I was a bit worried about the quality of the service but everyone was so nice and the food was amazing, fresh and delicious! There is parking outside and the location is inside a mall so you can walk around. We actually sat outside with our pup and it was very pleasant. The hazelnut large coffee was on point! Stopped in on our way through to Michigan. I was a little nervous given the two stars but everything we great! It's located near Dicks Sporting Goods and Barnes and Noble, at the back of the complex. It's your standard Panera with a variety of baked goods, bagels, sandwiches and salads. We got breakfast to go- two breakfast sandwiches on everything bagels and a French Toast bagel with cream cheese. Counter staff is friendly and this location doesn't have those annoying self serve kiosks. Bakery counter was beautiful and well stocked. We were in and out in less than five minutes which was great as we have a long day on the road ahead of us! read more

Danger! Nut allergy. I specifically asked if an item contained nuts and the cashier said that it didn't. Once I received the order it clearly had nuts and also had a peanut sauce. Panera Bread was busy at lunchtime yesterday (Saturday), but the service was quick and very efficient. Hardest part was getting past the baked goods displayed conveniently on the path to ordering! My lunch 'special' of macaroni and cheese and half of a turkey sandwich was delicious, and the piece of French bread they served 'on the side' was amazing. Perfect crust and great flavor (and warm!). Wish I had picked up a few bagels for breakfast this morning. When I went to fetch my own food the sandwich was 1/3 empty when it finally bothered me enough to complain the staff said the meat was properly portioned and they just gave me too much bread. I've attached the pics of the six tiny shavings of meat and one piece of cheese and it looks to me like the staff was losing or pan era thinks a $10 sandwich should leave you wanting more. Panera is one of my favorite spots for a quick bite to eat. This one is not great matter of fact it borders on really bad.. The cashier spoke so low and fast that I had to ask her to repeat herself (I'm originally from Connecticut so I'm used to fast speakers). Then she didn't give my husband a choice on his side (she gave him chips). The sign said all full size sandwiches come with a pickle....He didn't get one. His cheddar broccoli soup was watered down. I ordered a toasted French toast bagel with cream cheese it was good but I had to take it before the rest of the food was done so it was cold before I ate it. I ordered chicken noodle soup that had very little noodles or chicken and it tasted weak. I got a half & half sweet tea that was barely colored water. They have the syrup mix switch turned to the lowest setting (I know we have one of these machines at my work) All in all very disappointed I don't mind paying for good food but this wasn't good food. read more
