We order from Panera all the time because my kids love the soup. The problem is every time I order from there they get something wrong. Today, for example, I ordered 10 items and one of them was a kids broccoli cheddar soup. Instead of that item I got a kids broccoli cheddar Mac and cheese. Also I always order the steak a white cheddar sandwich, today I ordered two, one for me and one for my wife. Both sandwiches were 80% bread and 20% steak. It was literally a thin layer of steak that only took up half the bread. The food when made correctly tastes great but this particular store always seems to get things wrong. read more

Awful. Tried to order online, it used my gift card that I applied but did NOT place the order. Now the gift card says no balance and Panera said they can't help to call the number on the card. IT CLEARLY SHOWED it had used the 15$ that was on the card. Been on hold for a half hour with no help in sight. Will never go back to Panera. 45 min of my lunch break I'll never get back. I have eaten at this location quite a few times since it is right up the road from the building I work in. Their food is good because they're Panera but after today I felt the need to leave them a review because they need some management changes there. We have had their catering manager take care of lunch for meetings before and never seemed to have a problem. This morning however I needed to place an order over the phone for 20 lunches. I called in at 10:00 and spoke to Emma. She was great, took my order, read it back to me and there was only one correction but she gets an A for effort. I told her I would be there at 12:00 to pick it up. She said they would have it ready. That's when the wheels fell off. I showed up at 12:00 and it was not ready. Two girls rushed around like chickens with their heads cut off trying to get the remainder of the order together. Why wasn't it ready & waiting? I know how dead it is in there after the breakfast crowd and before the lunch crowd. So now the manager, Jessica, is pacing back and forth watching and doing a whole lot of nothing. And now it's the lunch rush. I stood there for 15 minutes waiting for them to finish getting my order (that should have been ready) together. After waiting (I stood and watched)they went to help me carry it out to the car, which was very nice of them. However I opted to check the orders to make sure I got the right things. As I am checking them in, every single "chicken Caesar sandwich" is a "chicken Caesar salad". I know the girl that took my order, wrote it up correctly because she read it all back to me. Whoever read the receipt made the wrong things...probably due to rushing. So one of the girls took the salads and went and made me sandwiches and gave them to me. The manager didn't apologize for the fact that it was not ready. She didn't apologize when I had to come back over and hand over yet another salad and ask that a sandwich be made because it was wrong. Nothing. So I drive back to work, my lunch break now over because I ended up being there 45 minutes! I unpack everything and they charged me for 2 brownies that they did not give me. I don't have a break left, so I can't drive back and get them. I give the girls their money back and call up the location and ask for the manager. Manager Jessica gets on the phone and instead of saying she would refund me the $4 and change to my card, she argues with me and says, "I put the two brownies in a bag myself so I know it was there." First of all, I just bought $200 worth of food. You really think that after wasting my lunch break I am going to come back and request a refund on 2 mother-loving brownies for $4 or $5? No. I said maybe you left them on the counter but I looked through every bag and they were not in with my order but she insisted. I was so busy checking on the real lunch food while I was there, I forgot to check for them. After knowing the aggravation I just went through a GOOD manager would have just refunded me without calling me a thief & liar. It wasn't until she called me a liar that I complained about the wait and the incorrect orders, etc. and then and only then did she apologize. I think the best part of this is that I stood there and watched them pack my order and she didn't lift a finger. I am so disgusted after this. read more

Stopped in after a late night at the office, and the lobster sandwich is back on the menu, this is what my hubby ordered, I usually go with a pick 2 combination. A bowl of soup is still good on a damp foggy spring night. When the lobster sandwich was ordered the very polite person at the register said "The lobster sandwich is $17. Okay?" I guess with the usual sandwich items being under 10 some people have sticker shock. They were out of Ciabatta bread, but is was late, and everyone knows fresh bread doesn't happen after a few minutes in a microwave. Not a problem he told us what bread they did have. A good lobster salad with big meaty chunks of tender lobster, I can say it looked good and he enjoyed it... I didn't get a taste. read more

There's always a long line here so I pretty much only order through rapid pick up. This particular location have messed up my order more than once, both times the managers were apologetic and offered a free meal next visit or a free sweet treat, it's still quite annoying and disappointing bc I usually don't open my bag until I get to work don't have the time to turn around. Their steak chili, the New England clam chowder, and the Cranberry Orange smoothie are great. Good atmosphere and clean. The place is sometimes very busy, but we've always managed to find seating. It's also right by the mall, so it's convenient. Prices are a bit high, but I don't mind it at all. read more

Panera Bread never fails! Love sitting by the window, having the soup and sandwich while getting some work done. The staff is very friendly and gives great suggestions. Only compliant is that there needs to be a little more cleaning. Sometimes most of the tables are covered in crumbs. read more

I've been coming here weekly since it opened and I enjoy the atmosphere and the vast menu. It's a great place to come for lunch eventhough it does get crowded the line moves fairly well. I especially like the "choose two" and am hooked on the mediterranean veggie sandwich (although they're sneaking in iceberg lettuce in place of romaine) and the chicken asian salad. The soups in a bread bowl seem very popular. Come with friends or your computer and sit as long as you like. There are plenty of parking spaces in the back. I only have few minor complaints. I've noticed the staff has gotten very friendly and sometimes they seem to be a bit too chatty. They all seem very nice, but when it's crowded, it does seem to slow things down. Another concern is the price point. I love the fact that you see high school and college students coming here instead of Wendys or MacDonalds for lunch, but I think it's a bit pricey for them. It would be nice if they had a student discount. That being said, Panera Bread is a welcome alternative to fast food and definitely a nicer atmosphere. read more

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible. So it's the night before Thanksgiving and a pregnant woman who is cooking tomorrow asks her husband to order through the quick app bc she is starving. I literally order a sandwich with plain turkey and bread, complete rocket science right??? So I send my husband out with my 2 year old to pick up my supposedly stress free meal. Boy was I wrong. He picks up the order from the quick kiosk. And comes home. Half of the order is missing. I call speak to a manager like how do you mess up that order?? So she apologizes that they left half the order out of the bag. My husband is getting ready to leave and they call him, Panera says it's his fault because taped underneath our receipt was an inconspicuous little note that said we need to speak to you. So the manager blames my husband for being in a rush. He gets there and says you know what on your receipt it says if we make a mistake we will make up for it with a treat. So my husband says for the trouble and for ruining our night can I please have a $2 cookie to bring to my toddler since this has been such an inconvenience. She looks at him and says no we didn't mess up your order you didn't read the note taped behind your receipt. Meanwhile when my husband rushed in there were no other mobile orders and basically no one in the restaurant. It was like 7:30pm the night before Thanksgiving. So thank you Panera for a perfectly stressful and chaotic night over a salad and piece of deli meat. So much for the customer is always right. And guess what if my mobile order was missing stuff your employee shouldn't have checker off everything on the receipt and tape it on top of the we need to speak to you paper. I guess I'm not thankful for your terrible customer service skills and we will never come back. read more

Love Panera, I'm obsessed. Love the pick 2 meals. Broccoli cheddar soup is my favorite and the warm fresh bread you get is always a treat. We always get extra for the car ride home. However I'm not a fan of the rewards program. It goes by visits, not by dollar amount spent. I think they should do amount & give rewards based on that. Otherwise love this place. read more

I sometimes order online and while Panera in East Setauket occasionally gets my order wrong, I get that they're busy. This morning, I went in person to order a breakfast sandwich. I stepped up to the counter at exactly 11:30 after waiting a fair amount of time on line because only the manager was at the cash register. The other cashiers had disappeared despite the long line. So, the manager also let two people cut ahead of me (they were taking a looooong time looking at the menu and discussing it), a couple who yes, ordered a breakfast sandwich about 30 seconds before I tried to. The only reason I'm reviewing them on yelp is that when I went to the Panera website it was down for maintenance. Okay, apparently today is a big day at Panera, but my biggest beef isn't that they don't serve breakfast at 11:30, it was the snippy attitude I got for trying to order it. Basically, nothing else was offered instead, it was just "we don't do that. It's 11:30." And, by the way, I didn't notice a sign anywhere saying that breakfast ends at 11:30 am. I usually like Panera, but I have a bad taste in my mouth now, and obviously it's not from their food. read more

I only gave it 3stars because the lobster roll, while full of claw and leg meat, had absolutely no dressing...the lobster sat on a lettuce leaf on a dry roll,the lobster meat wasn't dressed either. Went here today after working out and as I crave carbs after any workout, Panera was at the top of my list of places to go. I like Panera because you can choose to get the "u pick 2" which allows you to get a smaller version of sandwiches, soups, or salads. I usually go with a sandwich or panini and a Greek or classic salad. Today I went with the smoked turkey sandwich on country bread with lettuce, tomato, and red onion. Additionally I got the Greek salad which was served with blue cheese rather than feta which I was disappointed about as I hate the taste of blue cheese. It was also served with a creamy dressing which I don't remember being on it the last time I had it but I was okay with it. Though I had a plain sandwich because I wanted to stay on the cheaper side their bread and meats are always so flavorful that I don't miss condiments. It gets quite busy at lunchtime but the service is very quick so you aren't left waiting too long at all. read more

Service so so. Food below average. This location is filthy, the tables are always dirty, the floors that are carpeted are disgusting, the only way they could possibly clean this place is to close it for a couple of days and scrub it from top to bottom. Sat in the room to the right of the entrance and it smelled like garbage, there was garbage under every table and everywhere else on the floor. I'm thinking of reporting this location to the health department. read more
