Staff are friendly, but why is the portion size for a Pick 2, 4 bites of salad and 4 bites of soup. I am one to never complain about portion size but you would think Panera has turned into a 5 star restaurant serving minimum portions. We arrived at 7:50pm and ALL pastries and ALL bread had been thrown away by the staff. THIS IS OVER AN HOUR FROM WHEN THEY CLOSED. I like to start with positive comments, so let me say - the non fat latte was very good. I just wanted a healthy sandwich, and I'm vegetarianish (cheese, eggs, OK!) In Portland that usually isn't a problem at all. Here it was a problem. There were very few menu items that didn't contain meat. I decided on a grilled cheese and added tomato and avocado. The sammy, when it came was enormous. The bread slices were easily an inch thick, and the sandwich, cut in half, was two sandwiches. Seriously. Each half was the size of bread that you get in a loaf at the super market. I hate wasting food so I ate half and saved half, and now I don't know what to do with the half I saved because I'm sure not going to eat it. I regret the half I did eat. The cheese was bland, and so was the bread. I mean, if you're going to have a bite be 90% bread, it should be awesome bread. And if you're going to get a sandwich at a bakery, well ... it isn't crazy to expect the bread to have that extra specialness you can only get fresh from the oven. Bland. They grilled it with butter or oil or something that left a film on the roof of my mouth. And let's talk about packaging, because I felt like a planet killing paper waster in that place. It's a sandwich. Just wrap it up in a piece of paper and hand it to me, okay with a napkin. Noooooo ... it was in a box with a clear plastic window, in a thick brown bag that I could have carried 30 sandwiches in. I gave the bag back, and the potato chips that were in it! I said, what's with the chips? And the guy said all our sandwiches come with chips. After eating half the sammy I thought, damn, I was supposed to have room for the other half AND a bag of chips? I got a fried egg, with a haphazardly slapped on avocado on a bagel CRISP that was burnt to s**t. I also loved when I watched my name go from "Preparing" to removed from the screen. I can only assume it either just timed out, or the person preparing my food removed it because it was taking so long. I literally sat outside of the pickup area, waiting. I never even looked at Yelp before I decided to eat here. It looks like most of the reviews are unrelated to it actually being a quality Panera store. I was on my way to the airport after my usual visit in the Gorge. I don't frequent Panera as much as I used to due to proximity of my travels. It was mid afternoon and the store wasn't too busy. Really wanted a salad and something light before I got on the plane. So we decided to stop by this Panera since it was convenient. The store was as clean as any casual food restaurant. The staff was attentive and friendly and the service was quick. We decided to eat in. Had the Caesar salad, roasted turkey sandwich which was amazing. The bread is to die for. The French onion soup was OK. Had a baguette and chips on the side. I would've given five stars just because the experience was clean and the food was good. The one negative was the employee had to get a key and let me in the restroom, as in he had to open the door and show me in. Weird. But I get it, this is Portland Oregon. If anyone expects more than what Panera or this specific location offers, they probably shouldn't eat out. It's Panera and it's about as good of quality as you can get without going to a sit down formal restaurant. Enjoy read more

I'd give this one negative stars if possible and my review isn't just based off a one-time service but YEARS of some of the worst service I've ever had. They consistently miss items in orders, charge the wrong things, take way longer than any other Panera to prep an order (I once waited 45 minutes for a bowl of soup) and have the crappiest attitudes. Tonight my husband went through the drive thru, ordered and when he got to the window they said they were out of baguette bread. They gave him his order without the bread but it was missing the soup. He, being the nicest guy to catch mistakes (unlike me), said he ordered it and was missing it. He was met with a cold attitude that he in fact did not, he asked to see the receipt but the incompetent girl could not look it up. She eventually figured it out, showed him the receipt so he paid for it and she basically tossed the bag at him into the car when the order was complete. This business cannot keep going like this! I've spoken to the manager in person and have been kind but it is truly the worst service every single time. I dare you to try it and see if it's better! I'll be shocked if anyone can say something nice about this place. read more

Walked in at 1020am waited in line. Just wanted to get breakfast and a coffee. When it was finally my time to order it was 1032am and I was told I could make my own breakfast sandwich because it wasn't breakfast anymore. I had to repeatedly ask where my order was and then it was brought "from the back," which seemed highly suspicious. The cashier was really nice but the staff making the food seemed a bit incompetent. How do you lose an order when everything is computerized and there are screens that show the progress of one's order? Okay, so this had significant chance to be a scathing, 1-star review. I used the Panera website to order lunch for my family to be delivered to our hotel just a couple blocks down the street. Got a confirmation email saying that they had contracted with DoorDash to deliver the food. Food was supposed to be ready no later than 1pm. A little after 1, I start tracking the food on the DoorDash website and food starts driving miles in the wrong direction! I called Panera and they said that the driver was delivering multiple orders and that he'd get there eventually. After waiting almost an hour (51 minutes), the order arrives. I take the bag back to my (now starving) family and start passing out the food. Uh-oh, HALF the order is missing! (DoorDash guy probably gave them to his other stop). I am now officially hangry and called the Panera store back to express my frustrations. I talked with the GM (Parker?) who apoligized sincerely and made it right by personally driving the missing food to me right away. I get it, mistakes happen 3rd party vendors are incompetent, but all the customer wants is for the business to make it right. GM Parker did that, so 4 stars for this Panera location! The store has the worst customer service, no one at the store seems to want to help you when you walk in the door. I ordered online for pickup. got home and realized a sandwich is missing from the order and the French onion soup didn't have the cheese or croutons on top. I like Panera's products. Somehow this airport location and I just don't get along. This morning, I ordered six orange scones (they're good) for a meeting via my Panera phone app. The order went through, and was paid for. When I arrived, about 45 minutes later for an outside delivery, I got a phone call from inside, saying they could not fulfill my order. They said there were orders ahead of mine, that they had three left. So, I dont know if this is a problem with the app, or the store. Whatever. But, the woman on the phone said she had read my Yelp review, and she thought it would be better if I didn't use the Airport Panera store anymore. Huh? What is going on with this location? I'm having a hard time understanding why this Panera wouldn't want my business in this time of COVID. Was the previous failure to provide the scones I ordered my fault? Was the failure to receive the six scones I ordered this morning my fault? How does that rate my being dis-invited? Don't blame the customer when you cannot provide your advertised products! A good link in a chain! A business meeting near the airport.........and we needed a place! While there's a lot of people who seem to knock this place, for me it was a really pleasant experience. Service was good and the dining area was very clean as were the restrooms. Food wise they've got a rather limited menu from what they used to have, but it's been changed and upgraded. I ordered the Mediterranean Veggie sandwich, which needs some work but it's still alright. Nice hummus on tomato basil bread, tomato, cucumber, sweet peppers, and feta. I would probably choose a firmer whole grain bread next time, and it's certainly an improvement overall from the rather bland sandwich in the past. They just need to stop putting chunks of cucumber in the middle which makes the soft bread lump and tear apart. Really strange. You would think sliced veggies would be a given on a sandwich! I have always been a fan of Panera's drinks. Great iced tea with 3 different flavors, and an array of hot coffees and espressos. They seem to have upgraded their coffee as well, not bad at all! The baked goods have never been my favorite so I don't order any of that but of course it's up to each person. It's always seemed rather separate from their menu anyway. I especially appreciate their dining area. Very comfortable living room atmosphere with a gas fireplace, soft chairs, and the tables are large. great for us when we needed to get out laptops for our meeting. Overall, Panera's really works well for a quick lunch or meeting. It's not easy reviewing chain places. Not much the individual locations can do to make changes when everything is corporate cookie cutter, but here they've done a nice job and won me over. I love Panera and that they are big on donating in their community. This location has a freaking drive-thru!! I cannot recommend the turkey chili enough or the bacon turkey bravo. The staff was super friendly at this location too and I love that they have to go containers placed neatly out for you where you pick up your food. I also noticed they keep this location very clean. I've tried so hard to like this Panera. I like other Paneras. This review isn't based off of one bad experience. It's based off of many. This place is one of few dining options close to my work so I gave them many second chances. Too many. They consistently have poor service and bad food. About 80% of the time the employees at the register screw up the orders or put them in wrong, charge me wrong or forget to give my order to the kitchen altogether. The food... they have so much on the menu, I kept thinking "if I order something different, it will be better." But no... it's just so much worse than other Panera's. Haven't had Panera in a few years now I remember why. Overpriced small sandwiches, cold coffee that's supposed to be hot, and long wait time. There are plenty of staff at this location however in person ordering is not accepted. The customer either has to order online or at the drive through, then they have the option of dining in their restaurant. Sounds counter intuitive. The drive through wait is long (7 min) for small orders. Hot coffee is served warm- cold. Not coming back. read more

They've changed their WiFi and have limited access recently to 30 minutes during peak times... which is also slower no matter what time it is. We've been loyal Panera customers for years from the east coast to the west coast. So when we saw this one being built in our area we couldn't be happier! We showed up the first official opening night. The build out is beautiful and the regional manager was nice enough to mention to me that the wood material used were all local, giving the whole place great organic feel. The dining area is very spacious. There's also a great outdoor patio with ample comfortable seating as well. The food was fresh and came out fast. And if you're not familiar with their food, its's salads, soups, sammies, pastas and baked goods. A great selection of each! --- I liked that they have buzzer pages versus yelling your name out like other Paneras when your food is ready. This place will do well. Between the hotels in the area (that have no good food at all around them), the Home Depot contractor & customers, people stopping into 7/11 for wicked cheap gas & Dutch Bros. - they should have no problem getting customers in. Naomi was my cashier. I Ordered a btl avocado sandwich and the lady working was nice but the food wasnt so great. The bacon was either uncooked or frozen. I took a bite and it felt like off my teeth with chip due to how hard it was. The avocado tasted old and the sandwich had a unpleasant smell. My husband and I ordered dinner online (order # 433690413). We ordered two sandwiches and a bowl of soup for curbside pickup. When the young woman brought our food, I noticed there were no baguette sides for the soup and sandwiches. She said they were out of baguettes. When I asked for a different kind of bread, she said they were "out of all bread." So, she said, there was nothing she could do. She offered no other options as sides and seemed very annoyed that I was asking for other options. I left to go home and, en route, called the store and asked to speak with a manager. The young man who answered claimed to be a manager. I relayed the above details and he said they had to save all the remaining bread for other customers' sandwich orders. He seemed very annoyed by my call and it was pretty obvious he was disinterested in correcting the situation. The correct way to have handled this was for them to advise me, up front, that they had no bread and offer an alternate choice and, if that was not acceptable, to offer a free pastry or cookie, or coupon for a free pastry or some other item. Coronavirus is not an excuse for poor customer service. read more

I like Panera Bread I've eaten at them all over the country this particular Panera Bread was not run very well. The food was good as always, but the restaurant itself was right being run poorly. I counted 9 tables with dishes still sitting on them, the windows were filthy, and at least four employees just standing around doing nothing. I love the mix and match concept so much (do you want soup, salad, sandwich, panini, flat bread) and it seems like there are always new items snuck in that I want to try. This time it was the chipotle chicken and avocado panini with a side of broccoli cheese soup, talk about combo perfection. The little lady behind the counter was super sweet and ready to take my order and hand me my beeper. This location has lots of smaller tables well placed with an additional very comfy looking seating area surrounding a fire (oh so cozy). The only nit I had was during the lunch rush they could have used someone walking the floor to at least quickly wipe down tables. read more
