Panera is usually a go too place for me. Usually a simple breakfast, well done toasted bagel with Cream Cheese or butter and coffee, once in a while a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich.. The bagels are fine and the coffee is exceptional. Always HOT and FRESH coffee available with unlimited refills, Milk and cream carafes are always attended too and My wife loves there FUJI Apple Salad. I will say, where I am totally disappointed, sadly is with pretty much anything else I've ordered. Soups are too salty, Tuna Salad is way too salty, The classic grilled cheese is almost $8 and it's not enough food for a kid to eat without subsidizing it with something else.. They are a bit pricey but that's not the main issue.The staff, though always friendly work very clunky. You'll never get a soup without the outside of the bowl dirty from them ladling it in. Their idea of a sandwich is just plopping the ingredients on without any idea of properly constructing it.. They converted from panini presses to these ovens which too me are an epic fail.. We usually get good service at this Panera but were disappointed today! We ordered 2 chicken tortellini pasta and while we were waiting for the order we were told that they only had one. We asked for 1/2 sandwich instead but they said take full sandwich. After receiving the order, only 1/2 sandwich was there instead of full. 3 potato chips were not included either until we asked for it. French baguette wasn't included either. No treats were offered for the mistakes and not even a sorry. Service was not good or professional. read more

I never write reviews for anything but the experience I had yesterday was this terrible. I don't know what happened to this Panera. I worked there 12 years ago and it definitely wasn't this bad when I was there. I ordered a you pick 2 yesterday, a strawberry poppy seed salad and a frontega chicken sandwich. The dressing amount was so small it barely covered the salad, I basically had a dry salad. I know I had a half a salad and it would be a smaller container but there was basically no dressing In the container. The chicken sandwich had barely any chicken on it and the bread was hard as a rock, I literally almost broke my tooth biting into it. It was a to go order so I couldn't bring it back. I paid $16.50 for my order and it just was not worth it. That is extremely expensive for the quality food you get. I will most likely never be going back. Lower your prices and add more food in the orders. read more

My first experience at Panera last week was really wonderful. I went during the lunch rush, and service was very fast paced. I didn't have to wait long for my food to be ready. There was plenty of seating and the place had a nice atmosphere. The food was amazing. I had the Pick Two: a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup and Mediterranean Veggie half sandwich. My only disappointment was that I chose a cup of water instead of bottled... The cup is extremely small! I had to get up from my seat a few times for refills. I went there for lunch during the Christmas season and stopped in for lunch. I ordered the roasted turkey & avocado BLT and my wife ordered the classic grill cheese. My sandwich was good except the the turkey was in chunks and kept falling out of the sandwich. My wife, when she got Her sandwich had one, yes one slice of melted cheese. For $7.00, are you kidding me. I wanted to complain to the manager but my wife convinced me not to. I have eaten at the Panera's in Woodbridge New Jersey for many and never had a bad experience. The food is amazing, there is no question about it. A little pricey for a place where you have to stand and wait for your food, and clean up after yourself, but for the quality of the food it's worth it. Sometimes it gets a little crowded, but there are plenty of seats in there. It's kinda like a starbucks, cuz you can just get a cup of coffee and sit down and do some work, or just chat with some friends. But unlike starbucks, Panera has delicious hot food. read more

One of my go to spots in Staten island when I'm looking for a quick bite. I usually get the pick two combo which you can pick between either a soup, salad, or sandwich. I like this place Cuz I leave satisfied without feeling like a fat slob. The coffee here is always fresh brewed. And the setting is intimate. I'd definitely bring my gf here for a date. read more

I have since been back to Panera a number of times, sometimes twice in one week. I have found my sandwich that I get every time, even when I say I want to try something new- the Asiago steak sandwich. It is so tasty and I love that it has horseradish on it. I get half a sandwich and the delicious mac n'cheese, an extra piece of bread and lemonade. I got the rewards card, which is a good idea because I continuously get free items. The last time I was there I had a free espresso drink, so I got a caramel latte that was really good! I also have tried the oatmeal raisin cookie as a free gift around my birthday and it was so yummy! It gets crowded because of the free wifi and during the day when the schools are off for holidays/breaks you can't even get a seat. There is so much parking in that part of the plaza, so that's a plus. Next I have to try this famous cheddar broccoli soup. read more

I eat here a lot for lunch because it's close to my job. It gets very crowded around lunch time, and sometimes there are no seats. However, the staff does their best to provide prompt and attentive service. The place is always clean and the daytime manager is really nice. I feel like Panera is so over-priced for what it is. A salad and a small drink will cost you over $10. Their new rewards program will get you some free stuff and discounts here & there. So came here for an early dinner before I had to go to class and I ordered broccoli and cheese soup and a Caesar salad. The soup as always was delicious especially the part when you dip the bread inside. The salad was average but it's Caesar salad I don't really think you can mess that up. I've ate here before plenty of times and their Thai salad is yummm and their steak and cheese panini is also really good. I always get their pick 2 and its worth it!. For a place that is always packed, I have never walked out completely satisfied. The portions are tiny and keep getting smaller. The sandwiches are always thrown together and sloppy, and to get a seat you generally have to hover over some one to insure that you will eat sitting down. If you order soup, DO NOT order the bread bowl. Without telling you the serving goes from 12oz to 8oz and the price goes up. This is a glorified, overpriced fast food chain. read more

I've been to this location several times, and I was never disappointed. It's very convenient for grabbing a quick, cheap lunch. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is pretty standard Panera fare, but that said, I never found anything I didn't like. I personally recommend the French onion soup. I usually get that as one of the "You Pick 2" bundle along with a sandwich. It always came out pretty good for me, and I always seem to gravitate toward that item. They also have a nice selection of teas in various flavors. Even the sugar-free options are pretty tasty and pair well with the food they serve. The only thing I would say they can improve on is offering table service. I've been to a few Paneras where they bring your food to you, and it was nice to have that while coming here for a meal. They did recently add automated kiosks where you can put your order in, which matches some of the other locations I've been to. However, I've never really found the need to use it. The only other thing I need to mention is that it can get crowded here at times, and it may be difficult to find a place to sit. I'd recommend coming here during the off-peak hours if you can, just so you're not standing there waiting for a table. People tend to mill around here aimlessly, and if you're coming here to eat and go, it can be a hassle. read more

Great place to go if you want to avoid the mall food court poundage. I worked 40 hours a week in the mall and I went here for 90% of my lunch breaks because I was trying to stay slim and stay away from all the fast food. I love coming to Panera Bread. I love their sandwiches and cheddar broccoli soup. Their lemonade and coffee are really great too! This location is nice but i've seen it get extremely crowded, to the point where I took my food and ate in my car (sad but i wasn't standing near their soda fountain). They want to give a Hey! Come here in study groups or bring your laptop and hole up for hours on end vibe, but sometimes it takes away from more paying customers getting seats. I'll be back! read more

This is the only panera on Staten Island, so I really don't have much to compare it too, lol. However, panera has really great food. I would recommend going here too anyone. My only problems with this place is that there is limited seating ( considering it's near the mall and the ONLY one in ALL of Staten Island), and, it's more suited for those who have a car to drive here. read more

I usually go at night (after 6) and they are usually out of most pastries by then which is disappointing, but understandable. I love Panera, can have it every other day. The service in this particular location is sliding down. The salad greens are not always fresh. The cleaning person never took my tray from me when I am done and about to place it on the garbage. This is always done at other Paneras.
