Bread bowl good but concerned about employees crazy free flowing hair behind the counter and serving.

Visited here mid-week. Not a soul in the place, should have been an indication to leave, but we went against our better judgement and ordered anyway. The girl at the counter was unfriendly and well, just rude. No smile, no greeting, and just looked like she hated life. Look, get another job if you're not happy there okay? Ordered the half sandwich and soup, another half salad and soup, kids pb&j and kids mac & cheese. $40 and change...yeah we could have went to a restaurant with actual service for that much money. The food came out, bit into my steak and cheddar panini...all bread. Opened it...2 tiny squares of meat. Kids pb&j dry as dry could be. Kids mac & cheese, seriously about 10 noodles. Plus all this comes with no drinks! So we take the sandwich up to the counter and ask for more meat showing them the two tiny squares. They look at us like we're insane and respond it's pre-measured. Okay well I'd like more meat. Yeah it's all pre-measured so I don't know what you want me to do. I'd like some meat on the sandwich I paid $10 for. Well it's all pre-measured. Yes we've established that but I'm not satisfied with these two tiny squares of meat. (And maybe a pre-measurer screwed up or dropped some no?) Okay but it's all pre-measured but I guess I'll make you another one. So it comes out and another girl said I just wanted to let you know that all our meat is pre-measured, so next time you'll have to ask and pay for double meat. (Don't worry pre-teen there won't be a next time) Yes I heard that but look at this...this is your pre-measured amount? She said yes 1.75oz. (It was not even 0.5oz) but whatever. Soup was cold and watery. Kids food was gross. I'll take my business elsewhere for $40 thanks! read more

I am a regular loyal customer of Panera and this morning I can't help but write this review. I accidentally ordered a dozen bagels (sliced and toasted) + a small tub of coffee at this location and realized my error when I arrived at the correct location. I call the catering rep and proceeded to cancel my order along with an apology for the mistake. She proceeded to argue with me and state "so I sliced and toasted these bagels for nothing?!" I apologized again as I am not one for wasting food, however, there was no way I could've picked them up as I was already on the other side of town. She kept arguing with me telling me the same thing over and over, that "she sliced and toasted the bagels for nothing and she'd have to throw them all away. I felt terrible but there was nothing I can do. People make mistakes, I was truly apologetic but to sit there and argue with me about my error was not very professional or service oriented. Won't be ordering from this facility again! read more

Panera is one of my favorite restaurants for quick healthy food. The service is always good. There are long lines during lunch but I just call in to avoid the wait. Or even use their new app when ordering. Good food, good service, this business knows what they are doing. read more

Stay away!.... 0 for 3 on making a salad according to the menu. Each time I ask about what goes into the Fuji Apple salad and I am assured that Kale is not in it, then don't find out until after I get home that it's made wrong. This is the 4th time I've been disappointed in their to-go services. The first time they forgot to give me a bagel I ordered and when I went back to ask about it the lady kept questioning me if actually ordered it. Like really? I know what I ordered. I've ordered sandwiches from them multiple times and on some days they are made well and other days they're sloppy as can be. Sometimes they are care free when it comes to people's orders. I ordered a bagel to go with blueberry cream cheese and when I checked my bag to go eat there was only a plain bagel. It's inconsistency with this place that led me to give them only 2 stars. This Panera is the worst I've ever been to. Every single time they always forget something. I ordered a turkey bacon sandwich.. and there was no bacon. I order my sauce on the side and they never include it. Will never go to this location again. I would rather drive farther to a different location to ensure my order is correct. read more

This is my closest location and I come here often for the chipotle chicken melt, which is always served HOT. This time the chicken was cold like out of the freezer, and after I asked if they could serve me a new one the employee told me "there's a microwave" so I can warm it. I barley took one bite and no way my chicken got that cold in seconds. Very disappointed on the way both employees agreed on a microwave option instead of asking me for a new hot served melt. read more

Went to Panera Bread today.we both Got half a sandwich and a cup of tomato soup for almost 10 dollars each. Grilled cheese sandwich was cold and dry. The other sandwich was a turkey sandwich I was not offered what kind of bread I wanted on my sandwich or if I wanted it toasted which I would have liked but it wasn't the tomato soup was lukewarm at best had a good flavor and I had them heated up in the microwave the place was dirty look like nobody was wiping down tables at all and I was just kind of disappointed. last time I went to Panera Bread it was really good this time it was a big bomb. The rapid service was a cool way to order food. HOWEVER..... our food did not look like the pics on the website. it looked like it was just thrown together. Plus, the manager didn't even acknowledge my existence. I finally had to ask where was my order as she was putting another order on the rapid order. She said its right here you take it and go. They have a good menu. But, the soup was warm not hot and the outside patio was a complete mess. Not very desirable of an atmosphere to sit down to eat. Staff kept coming out to serve food but to our amazement they were oblivious to the tables that were needing to be cleaned. The food at Panera is generally consistent and good. This particular Panera is generally very messy. My wife and I ate at the Upland Colonies location again last night. Most empty tables were dirty and the floor looked like the aftermath of a food fight. The free WiFi has turned it into what looks like an encampment of homeless laptop owners. Come on, people. If you're gonna sell an overpriced sandwich, make up for it in ambiance. read more

Driving home tonight and 4 year old wants an Asiago Cheese bagel...since it's late I decide to call ahead to see if they have any left. I call 4 times and each time after choosing to place an order the phone rings repeatedly then hangs up. All 4 times. So I go there...get my son out...walk inside expecting to see if slammed and there is the manager (older white lady) and 3 employees standing there chatting. I let them know of the phone issue and they say "oh". I ask for the bagels...of course they're sold out. I say annoyingly that they should answer their phones and one of them giggles as we walk out. Food was good but the attitude of the staff was horrible. No one ever smiled, no eye contact and one girl rolled there eyes when they found out one of there customers were eating outside and she had to deliver it outside. Panera bread has just opened in Upland and the food is great. Everyone is so nice there. There is on outside eating area with a great view of the mountains and heaters if you need them. read more

I am extremely disappointed I don't even give you a one today I walked in after being told to weeks ago I did not need to order your coffee cake the one that looks like a Bundt cake and has powdered sugar on top as you would have plenty but they suggested I come early I showed up today at 7 o'clock and there was no coffee cake on the table out front I asked the girl at the counter and she rudely told me no those are already taken from the people that pre-ordered and I said pre-ordered I was told there was no need for that and she said yes there was sorry merry Christmas so rude not happy read more

Worst Panera ever! Hands down! I would rather drive to Rancho or La Verne then eat here. Only reason i have decided to come back is because they are new and need to work the flaws out, but every single time it has gotten worse and worse. Today i received old browning salad, and how does the ceaser dressing they put in containers have small old lettuce in it? Another issue is mistaken orders. If you order a "Full" size salad, make sure you get a full size salad not the half, 3 out of 5 times I was charged for a "Full" and received a half order. We were so excited that Panera Bread was coming to the Colonies......we have been there several times and we are NOT happy with the service and the order. We ordered The full salad on several occasions and there barely anything in it!!!! Very upsetting since the prices are crazy!!! Then the other complaint has been their sandwiches.....every time we get a sandwich order it badly has anything in it!!!!! About a tablespoon of the turkey meat and very very little else.....if this location continues they will lose customers as this community is pretty big and we talk!!!!!! Also, everyone always seems sooooo frantic especially one of the managers it's really uncomfortable!!! So from here on we won't e coming back to this Panera Bread we will go to the Rancho Cucamonga Panera!!!!! The owners should really do something! read more

Lets just say that I come to this location int he morning twice a week to get my morning coffee. I went to get dinner on a tuesday night and pre ordered over the phone. When I went inside their is a huge sign that says "Pre order Pick up", So I went over there and stood by the register. About 5 mins after I stand there this girl said "Can I help you" I said yes. She then said "yes"?? I told her I placed the order over the phone and was here to pick it up. She asked me if i payed for it and I told her that I thought I payed for it here and she told me, "Does it look like there is someone at this register? You need to go into the regular line".. I was in here on the opening day as well as a few days after they opened. I loved the service! I was greeted with a friendly smile, served in a timely manner and the food was delicious! Panera is also a great addition to that area...anyway this location is awesome and Jasmine was a huge help at the cash register, she told me all about the foods and helped me decide what to buy. Just ate here, and I enjoyed it. My order was to go, but I ate it in the parking lot. I couldn't wait. I was In and Out in under 10 minutes. That was probably because of the rain. The customer service was great. A young lady with a hijab waited on me ( I forgot her name) and She was awesome. This location is smaller than the Rancho location, but I enjoyed it more. I just started visiting this Panera this month and have probably been about 3 times since. It's right across the street from my work so it's quick and convenient. They have amazing customer service and I was greeted promptly as I entered the cafe. I work in retail management so customer service is the first thing I look for, not to mention my deciding factor......and the service for the most part is very quick. I went in on one occasion where the line was long but went quickly. I always get my food to go and they are quick with that as well! I love that they always confirm my order before I leave and everything is always fresh. The parking lot is a bit of a hassle at times but overall, this location is amazing! read more

We have been to 47 different Panera Bread locations and have never heard such loud screeching music in any of them as we did this morning here!! There were very few people in at the early hour we were yet the music was LOUD. I asked the Manager to please turn it down a tad and I was informed that the level of the music is set by CORPORATE. Went to a Panera Bread in Chino Hills for lunch and with the place packed the music was properly set!! Won't go back to this place.... read more

Frendliest staff I've encountered at a Panera Bread. Food as expected is great. Came an hour before closing and they still had all of the soups available. Cleanliness of restaurant was decent and was handled promptly when an employee was asked to clean a table. read more

My husband and friend were having coffee on a rainy friday morning. A patron entered with a wet dog on a leash. There were no signs this was a 'service animal'. When my husband approached the manager asking if non-service animals were allowed, she was not helpful and was rude, and stated there was nothing she could do about it and she could not ask and then walked away from him. Upon leaving, my husband asked the dog owner if this was a service animal and his reply was 'no'. This dog was wet and in an area where food was being served. Apparently Panera Bread has no restrictions on dogs in their eating areas and management doesn't seem to care. read more

I don't know what it is about the cashiers at this location, but all of them are so rude. I came in with a big smile and was very nice to the girls, but all they gave me in return was their unnecessary attitude. I keep going back thinking it'll get better, but they act like I am such a bother to them by trying to support their business. Seriously? Learn some customer service ladies! Because the way you act and treat your customers does not make us want to come back. Next time, I think i'll just save my money and avoid the bitchy attitude. read more

Food is good but don't cater here. Very disorganized and often don't answer the phone when you are trying to reach them.

I tried the Upland location of Panera Bread again last night and I'm still wondering why is this location so much worse than any other I've been to? After calling six times with no answer, I went in person to place my take out phone order. (Apparently the manager is the only one that can take a phone order and he was on the phone taking a catering order.) I should have know from past experience to check the order before I left, but I didn't, and when I got home the order was wrong. I gave them two stars because the part of the order that we could eat was delicious. read more
