Was looking for a good taqueria for lunch and was thrilled to see this place opened up. Ordered an al pastor burrito with panzor beans, guac and sour cream and spicy salsa. The burrito was huge and although the meat was a little bit sparse (not a little in every bite), it was really tasty and had great texture. The beans were also really tasty and it was nice that the rice wasn't overpowering as filler -- the combination was really nice. Salsa was on point, and I kicked it up with a little more of their red salsa (in the big right-most tray) with each bite. Decent Mexican food at a good price for the area! I typically get a burrito or a bowl here and the total tab is ~10. They throw in chips and have a salsa bar. I really think the staff here goes above and beyond making the customers feel welcome and also ensure that the lines keep moving fast during lunch hours. read more

I came here 3 days in a row last week (I can't really get sick of Mexican food) and I've tried three different things on each occasion. I tried their Chicken Enchilada, Sopes (Carnitas) and California Burrito (Carne Asada). All were pretty good but the price is your typical SF price where everything is just a tad higher. I live across the bridge in Richmond where the food is cheaper but for the portions they serve, I can justify it. This is my second time really bad experience with this place. I order burritos, lady who's preparing it didn't even listen to what I wanted. They are so busy to take next customer and keep current order half prepared. Then they come back to it and just put random things. At end you wait in line ad bunch of other people right behind you waiting to pay at counter. You basically blocking them as your stuff is half way. At end when you receive your burrito, it's missing half of items you asked them. This place charge enough money and don't give you worth food. Highly disappointed. read more

Although this place is convenient to people working in the area in my opinion is this place is over priced for basic mexican food that you can easily make at home. The taquerias in the mission are way better regarding taste and portion size. I paid 17 dollars for a burritto expecting it to be good but it tasted horrible and it was not worth what i paid..lesson learned. read more

I ordered the Caramba burrito. They informed me that it would take a bit longer to cook, as it was epic in nature. Didn't take very long at all. It was chock full of properly cooked shrimp and steak meatsies. I haven't been here since redesign/rebrand/repurchase. It still has the cozy feel yet more updated processes. I am stoked to have a 'fat kid' burrito joint in the fidi that takes cards again. Yay! read more

I normally come here once a week to pick up a burrito. One they're quick. The menu is straight forward. I can make it back to my office in 10 minutes. I normally pay with card. My last visit was rude. Due to the high prices for a fancy chipotle style burrito, I do not tip on the signature screen of their merchant service device. I'm assuming the cashier already knew I wasn't going to tip so she swiped the device back and signed for me pointing to the door that my meal was paid. As a regular, you lost my business and interest in considering your restaurant as an option. Chipotle is not too far but I will take it into consideration based on the service I received. I am upset and disappointed. Moving forward to better food venues. read more

The food is the standard mexican faire. The beans do standout, and remind me of my grandma's. But the reason for the two stars is why you wanted to read this right? Well here we go. The kitchen mixes up orders all of the time and I can tell you I've walked out of there due to time with the wrong order a few times. "Well then why do you come back?", which would be the fact that it's close, and as mentioned i love the beans here. But if I have to choose between the beans and constant delays I'll just find another place down the road. read more

I love this place whenever I'm in the area. Food is really good and real Mexican flavor (yeah they have lengua here) so that's authentic enough for me. Line is normally long but it moves very fast. I've been here several times and it's always clean! We always eat here as a big group, and one time we finished really late but I noticed the busboy always clean after the patrons are done. Of course they can't keep it super pristine looking after the mad lunch hour traffic, but I can assure you the crowd here would have complained if they noticed dirty utensils (mostly office workers, young/mid aged professionals)....Back to the food, I've tried most of the selection here- when I'm being bad I go for that surf n turf burrito- it's the bomb!! burrito bowl when I want less calories. almost forgot to mention best value in the area! read more

I just moved into the area, and I was craving a burrito bowl (wasn't quite in a Chipotle-y mood), so I yelped the closest (and best reviewed) Mexican place. Ta-da! That's how I landed on Panzon (the one dollar sign rating also had a huge impact). I instantly became a fan - fast, friendly service, well priced, large filling portions and yummy fresh wholesome ingredients. I ordered their veggie burrito bowl (with guac!) and it came out to be $7. How is that even possible in San Francisco anymore?! I barely ate half before saving the rest for dinner. If bowls aren't your thing, they also have tacos, burritos, nachos and special plates. You go down an assembly line customizing your plate, so it's well catered towards meat lovers and vegetarians alike. It can get a little busy and loud during lunch, but the workers move fast so you're in and out within minutes. Thank you Panzon, I'll see you tomorrow!
