Play softer music, people are hungover at brunch. When I walked in, I almost walked directly out. I pitied the staff, they probably have headaches by the end of their shifts. I'm from Gilroy and we have a Papas and Eggs. I was excited to see the San Jose location open up in the San Jose Evergreen area close to where my dad lives. Well to day is Fri-Yay!!!! They were delicious. The meat was layered in-between the chips. This can definitely be shared with 2-4 people. I had the lavender latte. Next time it's the Mazapán latte. Server states " we cant do that, it'll be a side for $8." Im irritated because I'm hangry, and I go " your menu says that I can sub for french toast for $3" and she says that she cant do it. I was thinking it'd be like a traditional country fried chicken but they use a panko crust so it was a bit lighter and the roasted potatoes were perfect cooked. Found this place on a random Saturday adventure decided to call in a to go order we decided to pick simple things because we believe if a restraunt can make a simple food taste good then they're definitely worth trying again. The inside was so nice and clean. The staff were so friendly as-well. For starters the TOGO BAG sold me. It was a reusable durable bag. When we got home and opened all of our containers we were shocked. The fruit was fresh, The pancakes (buttermilk & chocolate chip) were HUGE we also got a fried burrito (bacon) with a side of hash browns and we were not expecting it to be so good. Finally made a choice, and I sat another 15 minutes before my order was taken. Ordered a drink and was busy shopping on my phone while sipping it. Next thing I know, I had finished my drink & no food! #2 The menu description did not match the plate brought out. It read fried pork "rinks" ( I knew they meant rinds), eggs, beans & tortillas on the side with choice of sauce. So I'm picturing crispy chicharones drizzled with salsa, eggs, a pile of beans, and tortillas for grabbing. That's not what came out. It was more of a chilaquiles plate. Not what I anticipated. Went here on Mother's Day 2025 with my partner for our first time here and had terrible service and bad food. Overall would not recommend coming back. VERY slow service even on a busy day like Mother's Day. Bad food, bad service, and understaffed. Walked in and it was open seating and waited about 15-20 minutes before we even got menus and a waitress to greet us. We only saw 2 servers for the entire restaurant! No wonder there was bad service! I would imagine the manager or owner would properly staff their restaurant for better service especially on a busy day like today. Lots of items on the menu provided variety, but fairly expensive if you wanted to add anything extra on the side. Ordered - Iced horchata coffee - Horchata milkshake - Tres leches pancakes - Salsa Verde Chilaquiles - Chicharron Chilaquiles We received our drinks 10-15 minutes later and the "iced" coffee had been sitting out causing the ice to melt and be watered down. My partners milkshake was melted as well with only tasting milk. We waited another 15-20 minutes for our food to come and were very underwhelmed. No flavor, soggy chips, nothing special. My partners Chicharron Chilaquiles were so soggy there was no crunch meaning it had been sitting out for too long. My Chilaquiles were also very soggy and had to pay extra for eggs on top that it didn't come with. Little to no flavor. I have never been to an establishment that had this bad of service and this bad of food. Maybe we ordered the wrong things on the wrong day since it was Mother's Day, but we will not be returning. Unfortunately, whoever the owner is has done a terrible job with this establishment. Sad to see a potentially good breakfast/brunch spot in Evergreen become something like this. read more

The restaurant itself is clean and organized and the staff is friendly and welcoming. It is a bit confusing trying to figure out where to order (at the table vs. At the counter), but the waitress noticed our confusion and ushered us to a table. I came on a Saturday morning with a friend and were welcomed to sit anywhere we'd like! We ordered and shared the Nutella French toast and Brioche Egg Sandwich. The portions were generous that both were stuffed and to-go'd out leftovers! The only downside was the fruit on the French toast was borderline warm and I wish the potatoes that came with the sandwich was a little more crispy. Overall, it was a good meal! Welcome this gem to evergreen! This place is family owned, the atmosphere is very cute inside, everybody was friendly, service was very quick, food came out, hot and with a lot of flavor! This is just day two of them opening and I think that they did a great job! You have to try the mazapan latte OMG best one I've had yet! They don't have a liquor license yet they should have it by next month, but all of the drinks they have on the menu look like they're going to be delicious. Can't wait to come back and try those. I got the meat, lovers omelette, the portions are really big, they give you a lot for your buck, order the Papas they are delicious they have rosemary on them! The Nutella French toast was to die for so much flavor and the French toast was cooked perfectly! I can't wait to come back with friends and family. My only critique would be the music.
