They have small, medium, and large sandwiches, along with other food options. The sandwich is recommended. It is not overwhelming with too many ingredients or meat. You can taste the crunch from the skin and the juiciness from the pork. You can choose to get it with onions and spicy. The sandwich is delicious. The service is good, with attentive and nice servers. The location is basically in the center of Allapattah, right by Juan Pablo Duarte Park, where they host Dominican events. It is a good spot for a quick bite and a picnic. While the area may not be in the best shape, it can get active. After reading so many "the best pan con lechon" sandwich, I had to try this place. Today, I had a doctor's appointment near this place. I asked my friend to join me for a quick lunch. They don't really have a menu but with my limited Spanish, they said, "pan con lechon." haha... They had 3 sizes; small, medium, and large. The large looked like a giant sandwich. So, we both ordered the small with drink. Sandwich took less than 10 minutes. It was big enough even though it was small. I was a bit disappointed with the amount of lechon inside. With the drink and one small sandwich, I paid $13 plus tip. I really had a high hope for this place. The sandwich was good but to me, it was not really the best in Miami. The ladies don't speak much English but friendly enough. This place is mainly a take out place. But they have some tables inside where you can take your sandwich and eat there. I've had many pan con lechón sandwiches in my life and this one fell a bit short. I felt that it lacked some kind of flavor. I also wasn't really too big of the chicharrón bits in the sandwich, but that's personal preference. I wish the sandwich has a bit more to it maybe even just some mayo could help. Pretty good pan con lechón. No frills no extras. I ordered a whole Cuban bread size to take home and share. When I got home I put it in the oven to warm, about 200f. It's was just fresh soft Cuban bread, chopped lechón...pretty flavorful without being over seasoned, and some diced onions. Simple and satisfying. There's not much to say about the place it has an area to eat in and an outdoor area advertised as a party space. They do take credit cards or cash. And they advertise fresh juices but they stuff in the machines looked far from fresh. I would recommend just coming to pick up an enjoy at home. That way if you want you could add some extras to your sandwich. I would come back if in the area and craving some pan con lechón. I don't know what to say besides the fact I just simply expected more. The pan con lechón sandwiches were decent, the best part was how fast they were prepared and the price might be unbeatable. I ordered the spicy sandwich which just comes with added Tabasco sauce from what I could gather. This place use to be the best pan con lechon in the area. I remember taking a bite and the mojo and hot sauce would drip down. It was delicious every single bite. Every time you'd drive by, it'll be packed. I recently went back and it was not the same at all. I believe they have new owners because the name changed but so did the quality of the food. Ni con hambre, se puede comer..... I am a big fan of Pan con Lechon (PCL/Cuban chopped pork sandwich), and this is not the very best PCL Miami has to offer. You'd think that a place that is supposedly famous for the PCL would take some pride in their product? Not so with my sandwich. The meat was room temperature and so lacking in flavor, that no amount of salt or hot sauce could redeem it. The bread tasted a few days old, and the staff couldn't care less about food hygiene. I am surprised that a food inspector hasn't shut this place down already. It's sad to see how a once-popular spot for good cheap Cuban fare has turned into a disaster. My advice, keep driving. The og spot for pan con lechón! A flauta is only $17 and comes with pork, onions and hot sauce inside an entire loaf of Cuban bread. It's a Cuban staple that they always get right. They also have selections of natural juices and there is barely any seating area outside and the sun is scorching outside so it's mostly a take out spot. Honestly they used to add WAY more pork about 1-2 years ago like packed barely able to close. Now it's kinda flat but it's still very delicious and worth it. I usually ask for extra hot sauce which isn't very hot at all but it's acidic and makes the bread soggy which is amazing with the crispy outside of the bread and crispy pork skin pieces. The meat is juicy and tender and the onions give it major flavor. The service is super quick you're in and out in 10 minutes which has made this my go to lunch spot lately. read more

This place is one of these hole in the wall restaurant that you definitely come to try. This sandwich comes in three different sizes: flauta(whole) , 1/2 a flauta $8 (which feeds 2) and a chiquito. You the options to add onions and hot sauce, I pretty much tell them "con todo" with everything for my non-Spanish readers. I love that they freshly baked their own Cuban bread. Depending on the time of day parking can be a little hectic. I haven't been here in over year, and was a little surprised with the remodeling/revamping of the place, and made a couple of changes because once upon a time this was a CASH only establishment. I noticed a sign where credit cards were being accepted and they made it more appealing if you decided to dine-in. They also sell pan con bistec, which is pretty good and different flavor smoothies (Piña Colada, strawberry, coconut, etc.) I would recommend a pan con lechon with "todo" and guzzle it down with a very ice Coke. I have mixed feelings about my visit here. It was okay. After hearing so many good things I think I was expecting a little more. The bread on the pork sandwich was good, probably the best part of the meal. The pork itself wasn't as flavorful as I was expecting. I had some extremely hard pieces in my sandwich that I had to spit out because I couldn't chew them at all. I also didn't love the temperature of the sandwich. It was room temperature, not warm and not cold. This gave me a weird feeling while eating it because I was unsure how long the meat was sitting out before it made it on my sandwich. My husband and I have had own eyes on this place for some time now, especially my husband, as he grew up eating pan con lechon. Just a disclaimer, this is not a nice restaurant, it is a very simple, and some can even say poorly taken cared for. They do have a bar area where you can eat after you've received your order, or you may sit inside. They have other options apart from their known pan con lechon. You can have tamales, congri and yuca as well if you'd like something a little extra. To order, you have the option of picking different sizes, I believe it's 8, 12 and 16. They also ask if you'd like the sandwich with or without onions and if you'd like their spicy sauce. You can also ask them to add the crunchy skin of the pig, otherwise known as the chicharron, for an extra crunch and flavor. We opted for an 8inch with onion and no spicy sauce. They prepare the sandwich right in front of you which I love. They have their oven warmer behind them which they grab a fresh loaf of bread from as well a grand piece right off the pig that is soooo tender that they grab with their hands. (With gloves on of course). Thats when you know it's gonna be good! The sandwich was very flavorful, the meat very juicy and not as dry as you'd expect from roasted pig which is my biggest worry every time with lechon. The onions are definitely a compliment, I recommend and the mojito they use is amazing. No complaints whatsoever in regards to the food. The reason why I'm giving this restaurant 3 stars even though the pan con lechon was very good is due to the lack of sanitation and cleanliness of the restaurant. The bread was fresh and pork delicious. Was my first time there. Next time I know exactly how to order. Some hot sauce was put on, I would prefer not to have it.
