To start we tried the Shrimp and Crawfish Fondeaux with the softest garlic bread. This dish had plenty of seafood and was way more than enough for 3 people. My husband had the raw oysters and said they were really fresh and perfectly shucked. The Pasta Mardi Gras was enough for two people. I had leftovers that were even better the next day. The Rainbow Trout & Shrimp were full of flavor and well seasoned. The sautéed spinach was an added bonus in this dish, also full of flavor and well seasoned for spinach. A great pairing and definite must try. The Seafood Platter was typical, nothing really stood out about it pass the stuffed crab. It was my husband's birthday so he was treated to a dessert. He chose the Creme Brulee'. Taste as good as it looks. They got it right!! We also had the Turtle Fudge Brownie topped with ice cream. It was very rich but great for a chocolate lover. I could only take two bites. We also ordered some drinks. I had the Swampthing and it was good but I probably wouldn't order it again. It was a tad too sweet and tasted more like a daiquiri. There was nothing we didn't like. What we got: 1 dozen blue point oysters: these are only $6.95 for ONE DOZEN! It is their special Monday through Thursday's. These oysters are usually $12 for half a dozen. They are smaller and taste better than the gulf oysters they offer. I HIGHLY recommend these. They taste soooo fresh. Definitely my favorite! Sautéed crab fingers (appetizer): you get a ton of crab claws with the meat you can just bite right off. They come with the tastiest dirty rice that has a little kick. They come soaked in a delicious sauce. Fried soft shell crab dinner: we opted for three crabs and they were fried perfectly! They were large and has the perfect amount of seasoning, they were also juicy. Their baked potatoes are massive! So this is one of my favorite locations, the outside is nice, if the weather lets you enjoy outdoor seating I highly suggest! But if not indoor always works. Their regular menu is really well put together I recommend you try everything on the menu at least once, because I have. But I have a go to... On a light day I would go for their seafood cob salad it's very big so I would recommend splitting it to share so you can order more food. Lol The salad itself is so satisfy I get everything that comes with it but if you're a picky eater than take out what you don't eat but the salad is a must try! I also go to their seafood gumbo, I'm picky about my roux so their roux is good add a hint of hot sauce and you're set. If you like gumbo this is a good alternative to try something new. The flavor is great and good spice but not overpowering. The Dirty Rice is a great compliment as well! The reason for one star is how the hostess treated us. She had just seated two people in a large booth and returned to seat us.
