I am lowering my rating on this place mostly because it is not making the patio area available. Which is an important offering to have in this time of keeping our social distance. I had requested this area on the phone and when I arrived they assured me that the patio area would be open. But upon arrival, it was not. I would have left for another restaurant, but was short on time. I believe that restaurants that makes their customer's health a priority should make their patio areas available especially with the Covid virus recommendations of 6 feet apart. Upon talking to the manager she explained to me that she would update or make a note to tell the GM that this is what I requested. I believe any health-conscious restaurant would have already made outdoor dining available if they have it! I probably will NOT return until they open this area. read more

In our personal experience the service was slower than Christmas. We waited for over three hours at the bar with very rude bartenders when we finally got a table the restaurant was out of half the menu and we're not able to order what we came here for. Superb Service amid the pandemic. Went for a Birthday outing. Patio seating was reserved, however the patio is currently a waiting area for Guests. There is a server working the area for drinks though. We were seated in the very back of the restaurant, right across from another table. Not sure why, since we are social distancing, and other tables were available. But let's get to the food! There was a limited menu and the Live Lobster wasn't on it! (The Lobster is chargrilled and it's the absolute best!) Ok, we're on the middle of a pandemic, I understand. Anyway, they serve fresh chips and salsa. We decided to celebrate my kids birthdays here and I must say parking space is shared between Papadeaux and Pappasitos. If your able to find parking spot then your in good hands. Please also call to see how long of the wait is. The ambiance is was everything..greeted by hosts and we were seated in less than 15 min. We were able to stop at the bar and grab drinks and seated in no time. When I tell y'all the food was EVERYTHING!! We ordered the family platter and more drinks. Seasoned to perfection!! We order the FAMILY PLATTER #3 and added 1/2 RACK OF RIBS!! We were a family of 4 and still had more leftovers to feed a family of 5. It took probably 10 min for anyone to even come over to us. When he did we were ready to place our full order: Large Dos Equis w/ extra limes Large margarita Appetizer: Hatch Chili Empanadas Dinner: Fajita Wednesday combo (steak/chicken) He walked away and literally 2 min later a runner came up with fajitas. Also odd, they were not sizzling, but I thought maybe they didn't here? We told her we thought it wasn't ours as we had just placed our order. Amani walked up and said it was for the table behind us but it was right so it was okay. Um, no. We don't have drinks or or appetizer, but the food was already on the table so it was left. We were about done with our main entree when they brought the appetizer. Still no drinks. Finally my bf's margarita came out, no beer. Amani came over and said my beer would be right out. I'm not going to lie, I didn't have the highest expectations for this place. So when my friend chose it, my hesitations were on high alert. I'm just not too big on TexMex chain restaurants. This one was alright. Service here was good in the sense that the staff were really friendly. The place was packed for a Tuesday, so the drinks and food took slightly long. I ordered the queso blanco with chips and the steak fajitas. I got a lemonade, but it wasn't handmade as they advertised. I wasn't a big fan of the queso, it got cold quickly. But the steak fajitas were a pleasant surprise. I was scared it wasn't going to be seasoned, but it was delightfully flavorful. The tortillas were really good too. This is definitely the place to go to get your Mexican food fix. Decent restaurant, the food here is without a doubt five stars but not so much the service. I did see a few bad reviews on the food but that wasn't at all our experience, the food was amazing. My husband and I split a dish of the chicken fajitas, probably some of the best fajitas i've ever had. The restaurant seems to be much more cafeteria like than restaurant like. I don't exactly like how the hostess does the seating, it seems like everyone is squeezed into tables that are arms length directly next to each other when there's plenty of other seats that are open and empty. My main concern with the restaurant here is the hostess for a few different reasons but the bad reviews that this restaurant has are mainly related to the hostess/staff so that definitely speaks for itself. I would still recommend this restaurant to anyone, the food is amazing. The chicken fajitas are a must get. If I came back here, the only thing that I would personally change is, I would wait for a booth because the seating feels claustrophobic. Besides that, the food is great. I wanted to like this place since the food at their neighboring restaurant Pappadeaux is so good. After years of avoiding Pappasito's Cantina I finally decided to give it a try. My fiance and I came here on a Thursday night. The restuarant was less than half full, which was still a decent amount of people since the place is massive. We were seated immediately by a friendly hostess. Our waitress was amicable and attentive. We started off with drinks, I ordered a Skinny Margarita and my fiance had a Patron Margarita. Hands down they were in the top 5 of best Margaritas we have ever had, they were pricey but very good. To keep it on the safe side since this was my first visit, I ordered the shrimp fajitas and my companion ordered the Chicken fajitas. They came with beans and rice. There was pork in the beans which I don't eat and the rice was not to my liking. Even the shrimp that came with my meal didn't taste good. My entire meal was a total fail. Fortunately, my fiance felt his food was decent. The service here is exceptional, drinks are good, for me the food was blah. If I'm in the mood for Tex Mex this place would not make the list. Very good upscale Mexican chain restaurant with a full bar and good food. They even have lunch specials Monday-Friday. The bar is long and very nice with great ambiance. They have draught beer, bottled beer and, of course, a nice Tequila selection. I had several margaritas when I visited and they were quite good. First let me start of by saying we need one of these in Birmingham! I've always eaten at Pappadeuxs which is right across the parking lot, but since we were riding through Atlanta I suggested Pappasito's. Our waiter Sebastian went extremely above and beyond in customer service which is why I'm giving this restaurant 5 stars. Sebastian was extremely knowledgeable about all menu items and drinks. He recommended the skinny margarita for my sister and she loved it. As a starter we chose the chicken and spinach empanadas. Crispy, hot and delicious! I totally forgot to order guacamole which we decided to add as a starter as well. The guacamole came out with all the ingredients separated and we had to mix it together. As out entrees I chose the chicken and beef fajitas with a side of shrimp. The fajitas came with bean, rice, guacamole and pico de gallo. My nephews ordered the same thing without the shrimp. You have the option of ordering the medium or large size fajitas. I ordered the medium and my daughter and I shared. This was plenty of food and we had a lot left over. The beans had a wonderful flavor. I could've eaten the rice and beans by themselves and I would've been good. My sister ordered the Atlantic Salmon. I didn't taste it but she said it was good. The rice and beans came out family style. The tortillas were hot and freshly made. They have someone hand rolling the dough and sending it through the machine ( I didn't get a picture of this). One thing I forgot to mention, they do give you chips and salsa and each person has their own bowl of salsa which is a plus! The location is in a great area and easy to get to.. our server sat us immediately and our server Ron graciously greeted us and shared some specials with us. We took our drink order and brought back chips and salsa. The salsa was flavorful and had a slight kick to it and I like that. The chips were hot and very good. So good that I had to order some queso with beef and that was the ticket. Their lunch specials are served daily until 4pm and the entree portions are big . This restaurant is great! My family and I have been coming here for years and the service and food is always good. And so are the drinks! The beef fajitas are the best! We get them either medium or medium well and add on the cheese and sour cream. The large serving was plenty for the 4 of us to share. We also got the Queso dip with ground beef which has a little bit of spice but not too much. For dessert, the ice cream balls are the way to go! Paid for it with tip. I received an immediate text stating it be ready in 15 mins, park in the spot and text the number of the spot you are parking in so they know where you are. Great!!! 2. We get there. 15 mins pass. We get a text saying be patient. Cool. That's awesome. 20 more mins pass not a text not person offer a drink. Nothing. Radio silence. I'm not used to this type of service. Not here. 3. Finally the food arrives after being outside over 30 mins. Okay great let's make a bad situation good cause the food is always good. We get home open it up and what do I see. Look at the picture. Would you pay 20 bucks for 7/8 nachos like seriously!? Oh I'm not going to. So on top of the wait they give us what is equivalent to a child's portion of chips and meat. So a super long wait. No mention of compensation for the service (soda free chips something) and unacceptable food order. Guess what. My Amex will help them solve this issue. Will be going back. I've been living in Atlanta all my life and only visited Pappadeauxs. I'm really mad at myself for never trying Pappasitos sooner. I went for the first time on Thursday for a friends bday and had the Beef Fajitas, Jalapeños Sausage and Shrimp. My friend got Chicken fajitas and shrimp. All were seasoned so perfectly as if they were marinated overnight or something. The food was so memorable and Stephanie was such a great waitress that I went back again on Monday for my moms bday. I ordered the Beef Fajitas, Quail, Shrimp Brochette this time and my mom ordered the rack of ribs and chicken fajitas. All were still just as tasty as my first visit. Javier and Ibraheim were amazing waiters also. They made sure the staff joined together to sing my mom happy birthday and gifted her with some ice cream with a candle. She really enjoyed that! Great service despite holiday crowd. Recently revisited Pappasito's after several years. Former regular to lunch, after work meet ups and frequent salsa runs as go to item to bring to get togethers - actual received requests for fabulous salsa. Fast forward to few weeks ago, and returned to parking 'expedition' navigating parking lots - including overflow from Sister restaurant Pappadeux. Finally found a spot and proceeded to packed entry way of patrons awaiting seats. During wait for @ 20 minutes was able to secure a high boy in bar area seating (available on first come basis) Our pre-server/water person was a bit scattered and thankfully not the actual server assigned to our area. Our actual server Kierra was extremely personable and gave great suggestions for vegetarian inclined friend! She preferred the veggie quesadilla which was tasty and enough to share. I opted for the Chipotle Shrimp with cilantro rice based on Kierra's suggestion. Rice and shrimp were well seasoned and extremely delicious. The watermelon martini paired perfectly with meal. The salsa was not as flavorful as remembered previously, but still good. Has fallen in my all-time favorite ranks, but still palatable. Something is different in formula, but cannot identify readily.
