Fairly decent, but fairly busy Paris Baguette. Came here after staying a long week in NorCal around Fanime season. It's located in a large shopping plaza, but since Bay Area, especially San Jose can get quite fisted, the same thing can be said about this area too, so just know that cars can go zipping by here and there or you have to park a bit farther and walk in. We went here on a weekday afternoon and it was still pretty busy. A good number of customers in line, crumbs on the table, trash here and there, but they seemed to be a bit understaffed. Busy ambiance when we went. Pastries are solid and standard to any of the other Paris Baguette locations that I've been to and their cakes work for any celebration. I'm so happy that Paris Baguette is in my area. I've been going there when I get the chance. They have a good selection of pastries and their website and advertisements showcase their new goodies. I went there in mind for the soft cream bread but they sold out. Alternatively, I got the croissant and tried out their nutella strawberry waffle. The waffle was crispy, nutella was rich and the strawberry was tart to tone down the sweetness level. It would be a good pairing with coffee. I'll have my croissant as breakfast tomorrow. If you have the app, you can earn points to redeem for desserts or drinks. The place is spacious enough for a lot of people and outdoor seating. This review is pertaining to my catering experience. I placed an online order for an office workshop. I specified that we needed vegetarian only options due to cultural sensitivities. Although my order arrived on time, the items itself did not adhere to my instructions. The receipt clearly marked "No Meat" but whoever packed the items must've missed it. I called right away and explained my distress. The person I spoke to was apologetic and worked with me to provide another option. The replacement arrived quickly and the delivery person was pleasant. We ordered the White Ghost Vanilla Sponge/Chiffon Cake & Chocolate Dirt Worm Cake from PB for our son's 3rd birthday as well as the Halloween Party. We were impressed by the cake, the taste, the texture, presentation and overall sweetness levels. Handsdown we are not going anywhere else for a cake going forward. I love coming to this location because it's so close to where I work and the employees are all very helpful and nice. I always get greeted with a smile, even early in the morning. The space is warm and inviting. I love the large window that lets in a lot of natural light and how it smells so good when you walk in. The pastries all look really good, but my favorite is the lemon cronut! They have a great sandwich/ light lunch selection as well, though I haven't been lucky enough to be in for lunch. Went here right as they opened and I never know if the pastries are from the day before or baked fresh. After seeing trays of pastries, safe to say they're made fresh daily. I just don't like where they are placed. The chocolate circle croissants were by the window, on the mug and tumbler displays, while the two other circle croissants were on the counter where you get your drinks. Also, their iced vanilla oat milk latte is surprisingly really good. Service was quick and the staff were friendly at 7 am. I also like how their Dubai chocolate tart were in the cold display case. Finally visited San Jose after being in Virginia for a while. Decided to try this bakery out with my friend and get two cake slices. We ended settling on the blueberry chiffon and he got a mango coconut. We left, excited to munch on them when we got to the Air BnB, only to find out a blueberry on the top of my cake had some mold. I usually don't care about that stuff so i just plucked it off and tried the rest of the slice. It tasted funky and the texture was off. It felt like I was eating something made by AI. Asked my friend to try it and he said the same thing so I know i'm not crazy. The mango coconut was alright though. Tasted more like cream rather than mangos. Not too sure how they regulate how many mango pieces go into a slice but they were definitely only 2 pieces in it. That's about it. Overall the customer service was okay. I ordered the Chocoholic Chiffon cake from Paris Baguette last Friday night for my daughter's birthday party, and when we served it at the party, multiple people found pieces of hard plastic inside their slices. Actual plastic. One piece was big enough that a child could've seriously choked on it. This is beyond unacceptable. My daughter and one of the other parents BOTH bit into plastic. This location in San Jose is the one I've been to the most, though I've visited the other store in Milpitas and Fremont as well. The interiors across all shops are modern and aesthetic - a trait that drew me to this shop in the first place. They make great use of glass windows to bring in natural light, always keeping the store nicely illuminated for customers inside. A perfect study spot, as well as a date spot for people looking to meet up. Regarding the desserts, they're always so good. My favorites have to be the Tiramisu and the Lemon Citrus Layer Cakes. Neither are too sweet or too creamy -- basically tailored to my taste. The only problem I have is the price, hovering around $8 per single slice. Their standard-sized cakes can be anywhere from $43-50, maybe even more depending on location. Because the pricing is always just out of my budget, these are treats I only get once in a blue moon. Paris Baguette's beverages are also decent. Their matcha latte is solid, though I wouldn't say it's particularly outstanding. It's also on the sweeter side -- one time it was so sweet I could hardly finish it -- and the matcha quality is so-so. One of the more reasonably priced items on the menu, it's still a decent go-to if I desperately need my matcha latte fix. read more

I knew of this franchise as I have seen multiple stores around, so I finally had an opportunity to check out this place. It's part of a plaza, so just know it might be hard to find parking at times. The store has a decent amount of space to study. I was able to get a hot dog croissant, jalapeno cheese croissant, and the rainbow cake. The treats are on the pricer end, so please note that it is a treat yourself type of place. The staff were nice, interaction was limited but when I ordered the cake they offered candles instantly, which was appreciated. I ate the hot dog croissant and it was good! The croissant is flaky and the hot dog was decent. I got the rainbow cake as a surprise gift and the group loved it. We had 8 people ate the cake and we had decent slices from the cake.
