This restaurant didn't have much to look at, and it was somewhat small, but I think it's a good place for fast sushi that is flavorful and reasonably priced. Service was not terrible, but it wasn't great either. Anyway, the sushi my friend and I ordered was pretty decent! This restaurant offered more pieces of sushi than other places. Since each of the rolls we ordered had like 10 pieces, so 3 rolls were enough for us. Our favorite would be their signature roll: Park Harvey. It was very flavorful and the crawfish and scallops tasted very fresh. At the same time, the okata roll was a fun roll that wasn't too overwhelming with the tempura. I'm an avid sushi connoisseur, I went to this place and ordered the sashimi platter and a roll. I've never seen any sushi restaurant with portions this small. The salmon was 3 slices of salmon that was barely the size of 1 normal piece. It's like they took one normal piece and cut it into 3. This amount of food wouldn't fill up my 8 year old, yet the price was 48.89 without a drink and before the tip. Everything was small including the roll. I went with a few of my friends from Texas last weekend and we had a great time! The owner said he'd taken over just a few months ago and was SO nice and welcoming. The waiter that night, Devin I think, was also charming and checked up on us frequently. Service was topnotch, one of the rare times I've ever tipped over 20% haha! A little surprised to see the haters come out here. I've been a couple times at lunch. Service has always been capable. Agree with others of the tempura roll is the one to get. The lunch menu allows you to pick two rolls and shave a dollar or two off of the price if you ordered a la carte. Also like the Edamame appetizer. I honestly never leave reviews, and especially bad ones but this place was pretty close to the worst thing I have ever eaten. A friend and I went to grab lunch today and the food was horrible. I eat sushi often and this was the worst sushi I had ever had. The rice tasted old, the quality of fish was lacking heavily, and the vegetables tasted like chemicals. A coworker and I decided to pop in to this place for lunch because we were staying at a hotel down the street. We were a little iffy about the rating but decided to try it anyway. The only reason why I gave this review a 4 star instead of 5 is because the presentation was a little sad. One of my rolls wasn't rolled very tightly. Tonight was my first time eating here, you walk in and it looks like a sports bar (which it is one) but let me tell you the sushi did not disappoint! My dad and I had the sashimi platter and that salmon melts in your mouth we then had the sooner roll, park Harvey roll, and the lady love roll! By far the park Harvey was the best of the 3 but they were all delicious!!! The service was amazing! I frequently visit during lunch for their wonderful lunch special: two rolls for $10.50. If you haven't tried this awesome deal, you need to soon. Working at Devon, makes it very convenient to visit during lunch and after work. Some of my favorite roles are the spicy cowboy, crunchy roll, and lady love. I rate this place 4 stars instead of 5 because their bathroom is located too far from the dinning area. I am talking leaving the entire restaurant and going down some a couple different hallways far. Thoroughly unimpressed. Ordered two rolls, both had a tiny sliver of fish and a TON of rice. The picture doesn't do it justice. I told this to the very nice waitress when she asked how things were, but she never did anything about it. I even ordered some sashimi to counter it. Then I ordered a final roll with the stipulation that 'if they won't add more fish, please use a lot less rice.' I opted for the cajun roll & the spicy tuna. They were both fantastic!! The rolls had a good amount of ingredients & weren't just all rice. I don't remember the rolls my coworker got, (one was California), but she was very happy with her choices as well. She tried one of my cajun pieces & said she wished she'd gotten that one too. The food here has never been great, but it was consistent, they had a decent lunch special and it was okay for a quick lunch. Service WAS always friendly and quick but at today's visit there were two fellows working I had not seen before. Well, one was working and the other was trying to look busy. After standing at the bar, making excuses to a customer who had been served the wrong order and repeatedly stating "he wasn't the one who brought it out", the older guy walked around wiping tables and trying not to make eye contact while the younger server was busy seating people, running food, taking care of the tables that were seated. I sat with an empty glass for the duration of my meal, even getting up twice and walking over to the bar (approx 4 feet from my table) with my empty glass to ask for more water, while the older guy was standing behind it, looking right at me - eye contact and all - and he proceeded to simply walk away both times. The third time I was able to get over there before he looked up and saw me so he couldn't pretend not to hear me. I hope he is just temporarily filling in until the ladies get back and take over, but I guess I won't know because I'm not going back. The food also resulted in major stomach upset shortly after. I am flabbergasted by anyone who says this is really good sushi and assume they've never had sushi anywhere else before. read more

Had a good lunch, around average, at Park Harvey Sushi. I'd say that "A-OK" is a solid description of my lunch. We arrived around 12:15 on a Thursday. There were a few people seated, and while we were eating another 3 or 4 tables came in. A server approached us immediately with waters and menus. I appreciated that she just brought water without waiting for us to ask as most places do. There is a lunch special which allows you to get 2 rolls for $10.95. But, it's limited to only about a dozen selections, and, as you would expect, it was all the cheapest rolls on the menu. To start, we went with the edamame and steamed dumplings. They were both pretty basic, nothing great. The dumplings had a nice flavorful pork filling, but you've probably had comparable dumplings at any number of sushi joints. Good, but just that. To eat, I went with the spicy tuna roll and the crunchy roll. The spicy tuna is pretty basic, just a mix of raw tuna with some seasoning and cucumber for crunch. It was fine, I probably wouldn't order it again. The crunchy roll was much better. It comes with salmon, cream cheese, eel sauce, spicy mayo and a bunch of other stuff. It's fried well, the batter is not too thin but not too thick either. Also, it wasn't greasy at all. I'd absolutely order this roll again, and regretted not getting two crunchy rolls in lie of the spicy tuna roll. It had spice, it had crunch, and it had flavor. Nice execution on the crunchy roll. Service was good throughout, but I did ask for a to-go ice water that never showed up. This place is really close to my office, but we never eat there. I now know why. I'm not saying I'll never return, but I certainly won't frequent the place. read more

I'm surprised to see so much negativity in the reviews here. This is one of my favorite sushi places- I consider it one of OKC's best kept secrets. I think a lot of people may have a bad impression because they were expecting something different than the somewhat unique atmosphere- it is a Sports Bar-Sushi Lounge combo, which means it can be loud sometimes (especially after work) and may or may not be the best intimate date night choice depending on the crowd. During lunchtime, the restaurant is more quiet and feels like a sushi place. The Park Harvey Apartments in the same building house a lot of young professionals in their 20s and 30s who like to hang out here for happy hour or before a night out, creating more of a sports bar atmosphere in the evenings. Freddie, one of the owners, is a huge OU enthusiast and has a ton of memorabilia displayed throughout the restaurant. The music is typically Top 40s or Rap/HipHop/R&B. There are neon signs and TVs featuring sports events or news adorning the walls. There are also plenty of floor-to-ceiling windows, making for some great people watching if you're having a solo lunch. If you're starting the evening by yourself, the bar is a great place to meet new people to hang out with. Now the important part- the food and drinks. I like to order the miso soup if I'm sitting at a table. I personally love it- it's a simple base with diced tofu and fresh green onions and the portion is a cup size, which I like. The onions (or maybe they're actually scallions??) always have a delicate, not too strong flavor. If I'm sitting at the bar, I prefer to skip the soup and make a mini-meal of the delicious, complementary seasoned pretzels they serve in little bowls. I've had the edamame before but only because I was with someone else who likes it. I'm not the best judge of edamame, but do not remember anything particularly great or horrible about it. They have several veggie rolls, which unlike many places, do not come out tasting like fish. All of the rolls I've tried have been great. The Monster Roll without cream cheese or mayo is one of my favorites. I can't speak for the actual sushi or sashimi, although friends have given them rave reviews. Drinks- they have several Japanese beers and Sake available, as well as your typical domestics and well drinks. It's fairly typical to see more shot glasses than wine glasses in the evenings here. They sometimes have wine/spirits reps hosting events with tastings or free promo gift items, which are always a big hit. Prices- The prices are typical for a sushi place. The lunch special is great- 2 rolls from a list of about 10-15 choices for $10. The dinner prices are about $8-$14 per roll. Drinks are average prices. Service- I've never had bad service here. The owners or their family members are almost always there. Freddie and Rachel are fun people- Rachel is always smiling and Freddie is always laughing or telling jokes. During the day, food times are fast. During the evening, they can be a little longer. Overall, I'd recommend this place and can't think of a single bad experience or negative thing I've seen after multiple visits. If a sports bar environment isn't for you, check them out during the day. If suits and quiet time isn't your thing, go on a Thursday or Friday evening. read more

Hey, Park Harvs (we're close so I call him Harv), I get what you're trying to do. I really do. But I'm not sure Americans and Japanese sports bar go hand in hand. It works over there for many reasons, and not here for just as many reasons. The inside is a bit too close for my likings. I don't like being in on someone else's conversation or vice versa. It gets loud in there which creates a weird limbo of being able to hear everyone else's conversation, but not mine. All of that aside, if you can ignore all of that, I thought the sushi was really great. I got two different rolls - Blondie and Spicy Cowboy. They had tons of flavor and were put together well. I haaaaate it when my sushi falls apart. It makes me sad and disgruntled. The complimentary pretzels on the table were good snacks, too. I agree with Anna F. The sushi was decent. My friend and I ordered 4 rolls and had no complaints. They were rolled correctly. They had lots of flavor and color. They were fresh. Very tasty! But they were also served in a sports bar. I just can't get past the ambiance. Sports bars aren't my thing to begin with, but when I am sucked in to going I order sports bar food. Not sushi. So the restaurant in general is not for me. There isn't anything wrong with it though if you are in to that kind of thing. They even have chicken fingers and chicken wings on the menu and serve bar pretzels to fill the void of classic sports bar fare. The decor is nice. The service is good. There seems to be a big after work crowd that hangs out here and has a good time. My only complaint is the giant windows that face to the West; they don't have any kind of shades. The South windows have shades, but the West windows desperatly need them when the sun is setting. My friend and I got SO hot. We faced away from the window and baked our backs and just didn't look at each other so we weren't blinded by the glaring sun. All in all, this place is a nice place to come if sushi and sports is your thing. It isn't mine, so I probably won't be returning. p.s. Now that I've dined at a few more places, I feel a little bit more educated on the type of sushi joints Oklahoma has to offer! I still adore the staff and receive great service. I used to live at Park Harvey apartments. That was pretty much the only reason I would stop in here. They serve pretzels in a bowl when you arrive. Holy SALT. You will have to down 4 waters to make up for the salt intake before you even start your meal. I'm not sure how they justify the portion of fish in the roll. It's like a speck of fish in a sea of rice. I feel a bit guilty because the owner and family is really nice! But you have to tell it like it is. This little place is located at the corner of Park Ave Ave & N Harvey Ave I went here to check this place out at one of our Yelp Events. Park Harvey is right smack dab in the middle of downtown OKC in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city life. The Devon tower is literally across the street, the city's main arts museum is located just down the block from the place. When I walked into the place I was greeted by friendly staff, inside there was a musician playing for the places Anniversary and he helped give an inviting mood to the area. When I turned the corner into the area I was taken back by how small the place is! There was not much seating at all for the area, as the name says it is a fusion of a Sushi diner & sports lounge, something I had never seen before... the bar is literally next to the dining area so anywhere you sit you got a good view of the tv's on the walls, this would make a great place to have sushi and watch a OKC Thunder game for instance! Onto the quality of the food.. I ordered the highest priced sushi deal they were having for their University, around $10'ish for the plate, the quality of the food was good, not knock your socks off good, but it was a worthy effort of Sushi! I definetly ate all of it and did not regret it! Overall this place is definently worth going to if you work and/or live in the area however the parking situation is the other thing you have to consider... since it is in the middle of downtown you have to deal with parking meters and all that brings! read more
