The workmanship was great, however the technician Mike took advantage of my mother having lung cancer and highly played up the possibility of mold. Her hot water heater burst and water did seap into a laundry room. But the water was only sitting for a few hours. He called a company Dry Force to immediately come out and inspect the damage. They agreed with Parker and sons as they have had a working relationship for 15 years, according to Mike. Once the insurance inspector came out to assess the damage, he stated that it was not necessary to take out part of the drywall and replace it. He basically said that we got screwed. I am embarrassed because I am normally not this gullible, but when it comes to my mom's health, I want to take every precaution to ensure her health and safety. I am appalled that a large, reputable company like Parker and sons would conduct business this way. During this time of uncertainty in this world, people need to consider others and treat them the way you would want to be treated. The technician called to let us know that he was on his way. He was friendly and professional and quickly replaced the outlet. Do not pick them for AC tune up or anything AC related. Called beginning of the year and was able to get an appointment for tune up/ac check in May. Got the text they'd arrive between 2-6 and nobody showed. Called and they gave excuses, didn't care I'm on a plan with them and lied saying they called both my number and my husbands which is a lie. I used their plumbing service earlier in the year and they did a satisfactory job. I recently needed a plumber again so I called them around 10:30 AM and was told by their operator that they had a technician in my area and I'd hear back sometime around noon. I didn't hear back until 6:00 PM and they said the technician would be here in about 35-45 minutes. That wasn't the case and 75 minutes later I called back and said I didn't want to wait any longer so I canceled the appointment. Two minutes later he showed up. I told him I had canceled the appointment and he said he was late because he was coming from Cave Creek and I lived in Peoria and the GPS had given him bad directions. I don't like waiting around all day thinking that someone is going to stop by when they clearly aren't. I know many places give a window of a couple of hours but 7 1/2 is not acceptable. A technician was in my area? I don't think so. As for the work I needed done, I'll be looking for someone else to do it. read more

First they rescheduled my maintenance appt. 2 hours before arrival time due to "other more dire emergencies" that day. When they did arrive 5 days later only my wife has home. They were to service 3 units. All units were in good working order.After leaving, one wasn't touched and one now blows hot air. 2 of these units are 2 years old. The Salesman (technician) told my wife we need a new unit on the 3rd one after being there 10 minutes. We declined. After a lot of banging that unit now blows hot air. I had another company come out and said one of our circuit boards was now no good. I am now forced to replace that unit for$13,000 but of course with a different company. I spent 30 minutes on the phone trying to get a supervisor to talk to. Forget it. They play the shell game and you have to leave a message, that still has not been returned 3 days later.This whole thing seems borderline criminal. My 90 year old parents needed to add a mini split AC unit in their AZ room and needed electrical panel updated. I used Parker and Sons for plumbing, electrical and new gas line for a kitchen remodel last year. P&S's did such a great job I called them again to update their 50 year old electrical panel. Replaced with new circuit breakers and added new 30amp breaker for mini split AC unit. My parents purchased their home several years ago and had no idea the electrical panel was so old. The mini split system should be delivered next week and will have P&S's back to install disconnect switch for the condenser once contractor has installed. Terrance and Shane both showed up at my home. Before checking the compressor Terrance checked the thermostat and found that day on the schedule we set for 82 degrees. after reprogramming the thermostat and doing preventative maintenance the problem was solved and my ac resumed it normal cooling procedure. Worst customer service and scheduling. Been using this company now for over 10 years. I have had them install AC units on my last 2 houses but next go-around, I will be going with another company for sure. I have their "maintenance" plan and with out fail, they do not keep their scheduled appointments. Not. a. single. one. I have to keep these "tune-ups" going every 6 months or so to keep my AC warranty in check, and without fail they call me the day of my appointment to tell me that they can't make it that day. Oh, and that they are "booked up" for the next month or 2. So why did I both er making the appointment 6 months ago if you are going to reschedule on me and bump the appointment out another month? without. It's a real shame, this company used to have impeccable and reliable service. I called Parker & Sons on Sunday at 3:00pm for emergency services on a leak under my kitchen sink. I was told that we would hear from a technician within 5-minutes with an ETA. At 5:00pm had still not heard from a technician, when I called back they indicated they would reach back out to us within 30-minutes. Did not hear from them and called them back at 8:00 PM. At which time they told us we would hear from someone within 30-minutes. We finally heard from someone at 9:30 and he indicated he was 30-minutes out arrived at our home at 10:00 and told us there were two leaks but didn't have the parts to fix the leak in the RO system so he shut off the water under the sink and told us a technician would be out the next morning between 8-10am and would have the parts to fix both the leak in the RO as well as in the disposal area. The tech. did not arrive until 12:00 and only had the part for the RO system and not for the disposal. This company waste time, resources and is extremely unprofessional. read more

Okay. The electrician who showed up yesterday didn't fix the problem and gave us a drywall issue to repair as well. When I called again last night, I was told an electrician would be here between 8 and 10 am today. At 9:57 am, I got a call saying they were running late. At 1:45 pm, I called to reschedule, as I had another appointment. I am now scheduled for 2 to 6 pm tomorrow - and I just got a faceful of sparks from the breaker. He was quick, courteous, and easy to talk with. He answered all of our questions and made sure our water softener was working correctly before he left. We recently had Parker & Sons out to the house to inspect our soft water system- the system was occasionally leaking during regen and I thought that a gasket or valve may be worn. The technician unfortunately gave us the bad news that the unit was shot and could not be repaired. A sales person came to the house a few weeks later and gave us a bid for $6,600 for a new unit which I found to be high. I decided to wait. I decided to call the original installer and he connected me with the manufacturer as he mentioned the unit should still be under warranty. I actually liked the sales person, seemed very personable and I think the unit he was pitching was a well made unit - just very pricey, something I'm sure he doesn't control. We had the unit assessed and it needed a new $5 part that has a known problem in about 10% of units. I wound up saving $6,600 (the company sent me the replacement part for free and showed me how to install it). Parker & Sons did nothing to give me confidence that they will "do the right thing" if that thing is anything but selling. The benefit of going to Costco is I always assume that "I'm not going to be ripped off." I don't think Parker & Son's aligns well with Costco's value proposition and actually damages their brand versus enhances it. It's time to look for a new local partner in Arizona. read more

When I called another company for a second opinion they said the cables of the unit were eaten by rodents. How can Parker and Sons not be able to detect such an obvious problem? Parker and Sons is a scam. My review isn't directed at their technicians as I understand they 're just trying to feed themselves and their families, but rather my review is directed at the owners' business model. From what I gathered after having two appointments with them, within the same day, different technicians, unrelated issues/services, is that they are required to charge $700 minimum for all and any work. If the job isn't $700, they'll make up additional work and attach excessive charges to meet their quota, at the customer's loss. And I get it, Parker and Son's advertises on TV a lot. Their business model is aggressive advertising to get into as many homes as possible and take advantage of people in need who don't know any better. Their customers are mostly paying for Parker and Son's to continue running their ads. I needed a single, corroded nut removed from underneath my countertop: $700 There was a miscommunication between P&S and my wife when scheduling, so this guy showed up expecting to install a RO system under my sink. I had already installed 3/4's of it, but the aforementioned nut prevented me from attaching the faucet to the countertop. This guy complimented me on "doing almost everything already", and then proceeds to quote me $700 for him to finish the job. For reference, the entire RO system can be held in my arms, and I'm a petite man. Again, it's not his fault, I'm sure the owners force him to offer excessive charges or nothing at all. As far as the nut went, he offered me his own pliers to try removing it myself. How about "No, you're the plumber, and you're here, you do it for $20 and leave?". I am appalled. P&S sends out their second guy that same day to remove an existing sink faucet and replace it with one already purchased by me in my home, that my wife wanted done: $330 to replace the faucet, and an additional/separate $330 to replace 2-3 valves connected to the faucet lines. Now I'm no plumber, but I did almost install an entire RO system myself and I can confidently say that those few valves didn't need to be touched to install the new faucet; yet, this guy refused to service only the faucet for the quoted $330, because my valves (completely unrelated to the faucet work) would "hurt the integrity of his work". Again, I am appalled. Parker and Sons wanted $1400 from me to essentially remove a couple nuts and pop on a couple faucets, for what shouldn't have been more than a cumulative single-hour's work. I recommend to others that they stop short of drinking and bathing from their toilet bowls before allowing Parker and Sons into their homes. And again, I can't emphasize enough how this isn't the fault of the technicians. They're employees, and it's pretty obvious that the unethical services are mandated by their employers. I wish the guys who did quote me the best. Do not let anyone you love call Parker and Sons. read more

The sales associate that came out was personable, knowledgeable and spent the time to go through the options thoroughly but did not waste my time. Once decided on the system and cost (they were willing to deal) we went straight to scheduling which was withing a couple days. The team that came to install were efficient and knew what they were doing. Once they came up with the plan, they explained it well, got my agreement and then got right to work. They told me about how long it would take and were pretty accurate. Once complete, it was as if they were never there. They cleaned up after themselves very well.
