Popcorn!! It was good popcorn.... But that's all the bar snacks/bites they offer.

Nice bar. My drink was really good. I had a mezcal drink.... Hate that there's no snacks/ bites other than the popcorn

This is a great local bar with local folks. Live music on the weekends. Great staff who are friendly and courteous, but with just enough of the no-nonsense, not-here-to-bother you sensibility that I love. Bonnie and Clyde theme is neat, if a bit kitschy. Solid beer selection. Try the Malort--you'll regret it, but it's somehow worth it? A strange experience of an alcohol, that one.

We portrayed Bonnie and Clyde in our recent photo shoot.

We had a blast during our first visit to this bar, and it's my pre birthday celebration We liked the bartender Patrick, he made great drinks! We WILL be back

Best deli in oak cliff! Most of my five star reviews are based off a combination of food, service and appearance. However with Parker Barrows it was five stars based off their sandwiches alone! Great cuts of meat, genius sub pairings and phenomenal sides. Get the Barrow's Gang with two sides of chips. If meat ain't your thang then go with the vegetarian and splurge on coleslaw. In addition to great sandwiches they have an awesome craft beer tap selection and a phenomenal cocktail menu that's sure to meet anyone's taste. The staff is also super friendly and regardless of where you're from you will easily blend in with the locals that pack in. Overall you're in for a great experience, amazing food and good conversation whether you come solo or with company. Enjoy!

Checking the time of closing at 1am...

Reasoning for the 1 star.... Went in at 1 am (they close at 2am) with my boyfriend expecting to get a drink or two and ending up leaving a minute later. As we walked in, the bartender was cleaning as if he was closing and it through my boyfriend off so he asked if they were in fact closing for some reason and the bartender responded "well yeah I actually am right now..." We ended up going to the other bar a few doors down and had an amazing time with the girl working the bar there! Hope they can get their stuff together here...

Stumbled in here by accident. One of the best accidents ever! After golf we came by here with the boys for a beer and sandwich. This has got to be the best pastrami sandwiches in the country - no kidding. All four of us had this as the best pastrami ever. Now the beer is awesome as well with numerous local/regional beers on tap. Something for everyone! So if you want a New York style beat in the business sandwich and a great beer to wash it down go to Parker Borrows. Also the owner is extremely nice with a great conversation if not too busy. Will be back - can't wait!!! For those waiting in line at

Was here last month for the first time. I went with a friend to check out their grub bub. At first their band was performing outside, which was doable for conversation and a happy vibe. Sandwich ordered. Drinks in hand. Everything was swimming just peachy. Then for some unexplainable reason, the band moved inside, and I couldn't hear my date next to me, less than 1 foot away....MAJOR ugh!! I am okay at lip reading, but I am not an expert. We happily devoured their generous pastrami sandwich with homemade chip fries. Loved every bite. Split it between us cause it was huge. But the lack of silence or heavy loud noise made for a quick retreat out the door. The singer was great. The music was lively. But they should consider on a weekday, not everyone wants to rock out 100% to the band. Just saying.

It's definitely more delightfully eclectic and kitschy than neighborhoods around Downtown Dallas or East Dallas. Atlas has a funky lounge design that is warm, inviting and screams that you made it out of the house so you're ready to rage. They always have great energy in their music, creative cocktail menu, and food. I had a tasty Sidecar variation called Between Da Sheets (photo 2). They added rum to the classic recipe of cognac, orange liqueur and lemon juice. The rum gave it a bit of a vacationy feel which was nice. It was well-balanced and quite tasty. We highly recommend checking out Atlas next time you're in Bishop Arts and want an elevated cocktail in one of the funkiest spaces in Dallas. Do it!!! Salute @thejohnnycocktail

They banged the whole time , which we didn't know it was them until we opened the door. There was five of us, and once we opened up the door, they were telling us to watch our mouths because I yelled at them asking did they work there , obviously confused what was going on. They then decided to kick us out because we had too many people in the restroom. I only got one of the security guards name his name is Anthony another man in his 40s who had an accent decided to put his hands on me and push me. We were all so confused why we were getting kicked out. I will never be going back! That is absolutely insane. We did not take a long time either and they said it was gonna take too long if we all went together, which makes no sense. We took MAYBEEE 5 to 7 minutes in the restroom. The owner needs to get a grip on his security guards. Especially the ones that look like their on drugs sneaking people in from the back and the one man who put his hands on me for absolutely no reason!!! BEWARE LADIES: You cannot go to the bathroom with anyone or you will get kicked it and man handled !!!

The themed cocktails were creative and fun, and the layout--with three different rooms each playing different music genres--made it feel like a full experience rather than just a bar. That said, while the thought and design were incredibly well done and the drinks were good, the crowd size and some of the behavior allowed is what made the experience feel less than perfect. At times it felt a bit overwhelming and took away from what could have been a really magical night. That said, I would definitely go back. I'm hopeful it was just an off night, because the concept, atmosphere, and effort behind this pop-up are absolutely there. With better crowd control, this could easily be a standout holiday experience.

First of all, the Bishop Arts District itself is incredibly charming. Block after block of unique shops ranging from bookstores and bakeries to candle shops, candy stores, coffee spots, and little boutiques. It's exactly the kind of neighborhood I loveeeee exploring while traveling and if I lived in Dallas, I'd probably frequent this area often. As for The Wild Detectives, the concept alone immediately appealed to me...bookstore meets cafe meets bar meets restaurant. That combination will pretty much always grab my attention. I love to read, I love to eat. The space has a pretty relaxed, community oriented vibe, and during my Saturday morning/early afternoon visit, there were plenty of people working, reading, chatting, and hanging out both inside and on the patio. My one slight disappointment was that the bookstore side itself was smaller than I expected and didn't have quite as extensive a selection as I had imagined. That said, I still managed to leave with a few great additions for my ever growing TBR pile. Overall, this was a worthwhile stop and one I may revisit the next time I'm in Dallas.
