While I chewed I think I heard music coming out of my mouth...pretty nice. calamari - subpar - not hot, batter ehh and dipping sauce was like relish...not cool. cheese bread - not hot so it compromised it all. bread was hard and cheese was hard...not my idea of cheese bread in the least. salad - it was meditteranean style but the olives were just overpowering to the 10th degree. it was like a chorus, but only one person had a microphone and they were yelling into it like Kurt Cobain on a cocktail of steroids, meth and a 5 hour energy I.V. drip. Awesome happy hour, which is available anywhere in the bar area. Good menu and drink selection. I can't recommend the Parker ale, which was basically the same thing as Bud Light. However, you can get Belvedere anything for $7 during happy hour, which is just fine in my book. Kobe burger for $9 was tasty. Great view of the Queen Mary. It reminds me of a mini Titanic. Went for dinner for my 7 Year Wedding Anniversary. The hostess was very hospitable in attending to us shortly after we arrived. We were seated immediately upon my husband's request - Ocean front view by the windows. Aww, how romantic! We ordered a Reisling and a couple of appetizers to start off. Being a pescetarian - I ordered the Grilled Salmon accompanied with roasted vegetables vinaigrette and mash potatoes. Very flavorful and the salmon seemed to just flake off flawlessly. So I'm at a conference in Long Beach and I go to dinner with my boss and her hubby, and they chose this awesome restaurant. There are so many wonderful things about it. 1. It's right along the water. The view is pretty amazing. You can probably see the Queen Mary from it. 2. The menu is great! Primarily a seafood restaurant, but also has chicken, steak, a burger, etc. 3. The service was awesome. Shout out to Alex! LOL And the icing on top of a wonderful cake was actual CAKE. My boss is pregnant and they gave her a little chocolate cake dessert and said "it's kind of like a birthday (for the baby)". Well, isn't that the most adorable thing in the world! If you have to wait for a table, then I would definitely recommend waiting at the bar here or to just come here for happy hour. It has a killer view. Our server took about 15 minutes to bring us our check. And over 20 minutes to get our check. 10 minutes to bring our change. Bad service will turn a 5-star meal into a 2-star experience. This restaurant certainly carries the pretense of fine dining by the beach, but unfortunately the service fell far short of expectation. The restaurant was not full, yet we were left to wait several minutes before we were even offered anything to drink. It was one of those meals where we felt compelled to tell the waitress 10 different requests for fear she wouldn't come back for another 20 minutes. The clincher was that I was never asked if I wanted a refill of my coffee cup, which even the greasiest of diners manage not to F up. If the restaurant is going to pass itself off as a fine dining establishment (and charge the prices it does), then it needs to iron out the hospitality issues. Now that I got that off my chest...the food itself is pretty good for the price. Basic seafood preparations. The chirashi bowl was surprisingly good, as was the seafood Cobb salad. I had the fish and chips $21.00 again no flavor where was the seasoning had to order extra tarter sauce to give it flavor. The coleslaw that came with fish&chips had no seasoning? What happened in the kitchen tonight not good! My aunt had the chicken Florentin which consisted of airline chicken on bed of mashed potatoes with asst. veggies was ok. The one thing I was so excited to try was the key lime pie , it received very good reviews. Dipping sauce that comes with it is delicious. BF got the ranch country fried sandwich with bacon and avocado. It was good but would have been killer on sourdough bread. I got the crab cake, super!! This was our first time dining here. We went for my fiancés birthday :) I've lived in long beach my whole life. I've waited way too long to try Parkers! It was nothing short of amazing! The stuffed oyster appetizer was delicious. Stuffed with Alfredo and spinach. Cheesy and hot, and a smoking hot deal for happy hour! The view is breathtaking. Capturing a nice side of the boats, the city skyline, and the light house. The drinks were great! I had a goose island IPA on tap. My fiancé had a glass of buttery Chardonnay. Clam chowder was made fresh in house. Crab legs were delicious, and the mushroom risotto that I ordered was creamy, and cheesy and hot! I have gone to this restaurant several times. I have ordered different dishes. I ordered the salmon it was terrible. I ordered the crab cakes under cooked. I did tell the servers. I was given a Dix paint on the meal. I went back again the quality of the Salmon was bad. The crab cakes again were not cooked properly. I am hoping if I decide to go again they will do better. Also we had to wait over 20 minutes for drinks because they were changing workers. The location is amazing. read more

We were in the Long Beach area and had the opportunity to eat at Parker Lighthouse on a beautiful day. We arrived in between lunch and dinner, which allowed us to be seated almost immediately. There were six in our party, and we all ordered something different. The food was excellent, and our waiter was formal and professional. My experience here was just a tad shy of a 5-star rating. Food was superb. The seafood dishes were fresh and light, yet filling. Pasta dishes were plentiful. We even tried the jambalaya, and that too did not fail us. Even the bread was not to be ignored. My top recommendation is the Tollhouse Pie dessert. It's a fancier (and richer) version of a pazooki from BJ's. The view is delightful. Our table was on the 2nd floor and we got a full view of the Long Beach shore, including the Queen Mary. The ambiance will make you feel like you're on a cruise ship. Water service was great (even better than our main waiter). So why only 4 stars? Well, parking was horrid. I'm not sure if it's always packed, but on the day we came, it was hard to find a spot and hard to exit. The spaces were narrow so it was common to see big cars taking up 2 spots (probably on purpose). This made it even harder to find a spot. And like anywhere along the coast in Long Beach, you pay a price to park. The restaurant is along the shore next to boutiques and other restaurants, so there's a lot of tourists and pedestrian activity. Second downfall was the restroom. Though nice and pristine, the toilets did not flush. They're supposed to be automatic, but there's no manual button. It wasn't just one stall that happened to be broken, but at least two. Gross. Overall, Parker's Lighthouse is on top of my list of memorable dining experiences. It was a bit expensive (averaging about $25/plate), but worth it when you taste the dishes. read more

I went for dinner last night with three other people. It's been quite a few years since I've visited this place. We ordered: wedge salad, surf & turf, two glasses of wine, strawberry daiquiri, two martinis, cioppino, calamari, scallops, kid's pasta... and we got cheesecake for free, because it was someone's birthday. The food and beverages were all really delicious. I mean, at least everything I tried. The other people in my group had just wonderful things to say about the food and beverages, as well. Our server was quite friendly and bubbly. She did forget to put in two orders for beverages, but she brought them out promptly when reminded. The view was excellent, as we could see the Queen Mary from our table upstairs. The atmosphere was nice, and you could hear the live music coming from downstairs - a lady singing songs like 'Mercy,' 'Here Comes the Sun,' etc. The best part... I didn't have to pay! Lol. I knew it was a bit pricy, as the surf & turf alone is $49. If I saw correctly, the bill with tip was quite close to $300 for the four of us. Overall, though, a great experience. We enjoyed the lobster taquitos, filet with the scallop and shrimp skewers and the surf and turf. First- the steak is grilled on an open grill in the kitchen (see the pic I tried to take). There is so much flavor from the grill that is has me questioning our at home grill skills!!! Second- the service was great. Oh my goodness! The service was awesome... The food was awesome and the view was awesome. Not cheap (three people with desert was $130 not including tip) but well worth spoiling once in awhile! Daughter had the fish and chips and loved it. I had the chicken/shrimp jambalaya and OMG it was spot on. Hubby had the Mariner Platter and it was great (it's over a bed of rice and veggies). Dessert was also great! M daughter and I split the Key Lime pie (thank goodness because it was big- but wonderful). Hubby had the creme brûlée and it was perfect - sweeter than ones he's had before. Came here for our 6th anniversay, menu changed so much from last time we dined. Our server was by far the best we EVER had. VANESSA had the most energy and positive attitude. She not only checked with the chef to see if I could order from the dinner menu and was checking on us to see if everything was perfect. I've been going to Parker's for quite some time now; my BF and I love it here! Never disappointing, always a great experience. Anything you order is delicious including the sushi and different appetizers they have to offer. They have a great wine selection and a full bar for your choice of drink. I love their salmon, any which way they decide to cook it is fine with me, it's fresh and delicious. You like clam chowder? Well they have a delicious bowl just for you, creamy and cooked to perfection. Located in a beautiful spot of the Shoreline Village, suitable for any occasion, especially date night with your better half. The staff always offers excellent service, they're always accommodating as to where you want to sit in the restaurant. Anywhere you sit you will have a nice view. Parking is metered but they do offer validation for the 1st 2 hours. Love, love, love... Parker's Lighthouse is definitely one of my top five spots for a nice, relaxing lunch or dinner. read more

The best seafood in the South Bay. It may be a little pricey, but once you taste how fresh their fare is you won't be complaining. Everyone I've taken there has had the same reaction--mild shock at the prices followed be an overwhelmingly positive reaction to the quality of the food. It has a great location and set-up--their main dining room has 3 sides of windows looking out into Long Beach Harbor and their patio extends out into the water as well. They also have an upstairs alcove that befits their lighthouse motif. Almost all the fish tastes as if was caught within the last hour. All the sides are excellently paired with the main dishes. Lastly, their desserts are killer. A few of my friends have to always save room for their sorbet served in whatever fruit fresh that season. read more

I decided to give Parker's Lighthouse a try because I jetskied around the area before and constantly saw the restaurant but have never got a chance to try it. I called and made a reservation for a party of 10 the day of. We arrived 10 minutes late. The table was ready for us and we were seated right away. I like that the server was very attentive and when I informed her about my friend's birthday, she later brought out a cheesecake with a candle. I order the clam chowder and the Atlantic stuffed Salmon. Both was delicious. The clam chowder portion was just right and very rich and creamy. The stuffed salmon had shrimp and crabs inside and was also very tasty. 1 more point for the beautiful view surrounding the restaurant. My girlfriends and I had a hard time picking out maritinis and our waitress was very helpful about matching our preferences with what drinks would be the best for us. I was in the area and wanted to go somewhere nearby to get seafood. The place looks fancy, and has a great view. Our table ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell. The oysters were fairly big and tasted fresh. For my entree, I ordered the Thai Coconut Lemongrass Bouillabaisse. The soup base was tasty, and there was a good amount of seafood. The dish was big, but I think it was mainly due to the huge potatoes that were in it. Service was okay. This is a gorgeous, gorgeous restaurant. After looking at sea life all day at the aquarium, we wanted to eat some too. We yelped this place, and walked all the way to the end of the boardwalk to find it. You wouldn't think to find such a beautiful, classy restaurant at the end of a row of tourist shops and souvenir carts, but it is! This restaurant is romantic, spacious, and has 2 levels and a pretty patio with indoor and outdoor cabanas/lounge areas. You get a great, full view of the harbor and Queen Mary. We sat on some outdoor couches and enjoyed the sunset. For food, we ordered the Dungeness crab- and spinach dip-stuffed artichoke, oysters, crab cake sandwich, and seafood cobb salad. All of the food was amazing; I would have ordered the artichoke every single time I came back. It was perfect. My friend asked to pay for extra crab in her salad. Our waiter brought the salad, but without any crab at all. After speaking with the kitchen staff, it looked as if they'd forgotten it, so he brought over a heaping dish of crabmeat to add to her salad, at no charge. I thought it was excellent service and showed that they cared. We also ordered quite a few drinks, because I hang out with bad influences. The raspberry mojito was too sweet and a little week. The x-rated vacation was a favorite of the table, which seemed like a girly drink but still packed a punch. The cucumber breeze was probably what I'd most highly recommend. Came here New Year's Day to celebrate my mom's bday. I made reservations for a table of 13 earlier in the week. Got there and was walked to our table and apparently the table had not been setup yet. No biggie- we waited outside. It was a beautiful day! Michelle was our waitress- and she was great! I'm giving the food 3 stars, but the 4th star is for the service. My sister's lobster club came out super later. We basically all finished our food by the time she got hers. Michelle let management know- and the manager actually came out to apologize and comp her meal. Now back to the food. I tasted a bit of everybody's food and I honestly wasn't amazed with anything. For starters we ordered the seafood tower, as well as the Parker's sampler. I ordered the stuffed Alaskan cod. Other plates ordered were: lobster club, pulled pork sandwich w/ sweet potato fries, seafood platter, catch of the day (yellowtail), French dip sandwich, jambalaya, and the kids ordered chicken strips. I could tell my dad wasn't enjoying his yellowtail. And kept talking about dinner plans he had for later today... Honestly- I'm way happier with the food next door at Yardhouse.
