    French onion soup. The best!!
    Christina H.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is great. Comfortable booths for a part of 5-6.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The French onion soup was fantastic! Perfectly made and not salty. The chicken pate was good. But better to share as it was so rich for one person. Same with the mushroom onion tart. The burger was good but they didn't make it medium rare. Fries were hand cut and really good. The cow au vin was very good. Needed a bit more sauce. The chocolate pot dessert was not as good as I hoped. The caramel was overpowering for me and I would have preferred a stronger chocolate taste. The manager Alexis was fantastic! Will Come Back again!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Pascal & Sabine was beautifully decorated, but incredibly dim.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music was far too loud at the front, but thankfully we were in the back of the restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a bit hard to read the menus, and I don't know how people with vision problems would be able to see what they were eating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was good, but the portion sizes were small for the amount you're paying. Our server didn't check on us very often so we were waiting with empty glasses a good chunk of the meal. They also took our bread basket without asking if we were done. Dessert was the best part of the night. The sorbet was good, the poached pear was really interesting, and the crème brûlée was great!

This is our favorite go-to restaurant in Monmouth County, NJ! Everything here is absolutely amazing! The escargot, drink menu, wine selection, foie gras, tartare, just delicious every time and so consistent! Don't leave without trying the frites!

I have been here a few times in the past and then just tried it again this week. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is okay and the front entrance is really annoying with 3 sets of doors to get inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We ended up being seated outside and were asked by other people all night if "this was the front door".[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The outside seating is set up really cute and on a nice summer night, its the perfect place to be for a glass of wine.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have a small but excellent wine selection. This time I wasnt too hungry so I mostly had wine and oysters. The market were PEI and very fresh & tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside of the restaurant is cool too and nicely decorated but I just prefer to eat outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We recently hosted a small brunch for 30 people. We had a fantastic experience from beginning to end. The coordinator and manager were able to bring our vision to life and answer all of our questions to pick the perfect menu. They took care of all of the arrangements, place cards, menus etc. the day of we had two wonderful servers who took care of all of our guests needs. The food was even better. Tops picks were - French onion soup, both of their burgers and the pot de crème. Everyone also enjoyed their romaine salad and sandwiches. Between the food, drinks and service you can't go wrong!

We love brunch; well..the idea of it. But as of late, we've been somewhat disappointed by certain choices. However, this place got it right. Along with the usual suspects, (Waffles/Burger/Omelet), Pascal & Sabine had other interesting choices. Like the Duck Confit Eggs Benedict and a Skillet Baked Ratatouille. Next time.... Since it was Sunday Bruch, we started with a Double Espresso and a "Salty Meg". Refreshing with a Vanilla Salt, salted rim. I ordered the Quiche because yes, real men DO eat quiche, contrary to what Bruce Feirstein thinks. It was hearty, tasty with a flakey crust and the Potatoes that accompanied reminded me of Thanksgiving. She started with a traditional French Onion Soup. One of the better ones we've had. Usually after the crouton and cheese are gone, it's time to move on. But the broth was so flavorful and just the right amount of onions. Lyonnaise Salad with a Poached Egg and Pork Belly was something I would never think to order, but think again. What a salad ! We ended the meal with a Milk Chocolate Pots du Crème topped with a layer of sea salted caramel. The chocolate was dense, yet creamy, and the caramel layer on was a nice addition. Definitely meant for sharing. This place made a great start to a rainy Sunday in Asbury, and gave us enough steam to take on the many shops the area has to offer. Honorable mention to our waiter who was attentive and talkative.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Upscale dining in Asbury Park![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We met old college friends there and had a fantastic meal. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is fantastic - live jazz band playing up front, and really nice mood lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Had oysters, a charcuterie board and steak tartare to start. I forget what everyone else had as an entree, but I had the steak frites (NY strip). Excellent.

3.75 stars. Came on a weekend night with a reservation and they were busy. There's different sections of the restaurant with different vibes. Some were home like and another part bar and another date night dinner like. Service was friendly and timely. 1. Pork chop - thick piece of pork chop with good flavor. Was not too salty but the veggies were. Sauce was very good. 2. Escargot - saltier than other ones I've had but filling and filled with herbs and oil which was lovely. Forgot to snap a picture but looks like other pictures on here. 3. Crème brûlée - delicious as usual and standard! Overall, was a bit hesitant with the salty reviews (pun intended) which was partially true. Still a good dinner with plenty of food. Would try at least once if you're in the area!

Just passing through Asbury and this was just a walk (15 minutes) from the Asbury club. Just a few drinks and an appy pregaming for dinner. The bartenders were really friendly and attentive. Great start to a great evening.

First time here and Herbie was our server. They were wonderful, friendly, and attentive! We started with cocktails, The Jackal and the Cucumber Sunshine. The Jackal was perfectly spicy, however I wish I tasted more of the ginger. The Cucumber Sunshine was light and refreshing, not too sweet. We started with the brandade croquettes. Unique, crispy, and flavorful. The sauce that accompanies it is citrusy which pairs well with the fried croquettes. I ordered the New York Strip steak frites. My favorite part were the many sauces/toppings it came with. It comes with steak sauce, ketchup, honey mustard (like no other!!), herbaceous compound butter, and sweet caramelized onions (truly caramelized). I was in heaven. We also ordered the spaghetti and clams and I enjoyed their take on this simple dish. The cabernet was dry and full bodied. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was busy but not too loud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, had a really great experience and I will be coming back!

Pascal & Sabine is a solid dining experience. I've read some mixed reviews about both the service and food being overly salty, but I didn't find that to be the case at all. The host and hostess were welcoming and our server was nice and attentive. The food was also great. I enjoyed the escargot and coq au vin a lot (and I've had both at many other restaurants in the past). My husband got the French onion soup and the Mr. Smith burger. The French onion soup could've had a deeper, richer flavor, but it was decent. He liked the burger with the raclette cheese on it. The fries could've been crispier, but overall, everything was tasty and it was a pleasant experience.

Pascal & Sabine is a great restaurant. It checks all the boxes - food, drinks, service, and ambiance are all . The food is on par with some of the best French restaurants in NYC. The Escargot is not to be missed. Even if you don't eat snails (like me), you need to order this for the butter sauce and should proceed to dip everything and anything you can in the sauce. I'd highly recommend adding this place to your list. It's good for any occasion - parents, birthdays, date night, catching up with friends.

What are must gets here and what's in the garlic soup besides garlic and goat cheese!?

There are some delicious dishes on the menu! Onion soup, salads, steak frites, burger, pork chop, foie, duck, chicken liver is the best, escargots, and oysters, are top picks! I've eaten here at least 30x, it's a fave in AP!

Right now they have a tiki theme, however, that's it in my opinion as far as draw to keep going there. The drinks are an overpriced smoke screen for people who want to waste money on a sugary drink. And it goes along with the whole Asbury Park eclectic vibe but most of the drinks have a 5 or more ingredients I never heard of (which is fine) but it waters down the drink. I don't want to have a drink (or pay $15+ for a drink) that tastes like a fruity cup of juice. As far as the limited food suggestions on the menu- only 2 or 3- this is the third time we've been there and they said they were out of food -so then take it off your menu if you can't be consistent!!! We're not just going to keep drinking without anything to eat to go along with it. As far as the service it's inconsistent, when we sat down there was only two of us- The server was very nice but we waited too long for our drinks. A party of 7 came in about 1/2 hour after us and they had their drinks within 5 minutes- that should never be. After one drink we got the check and we left, we are completely scratching it off our list, we will not return there. It does bum me out because it has such potential and there's nothing like it around but I'm not going to visit an establishment where I walk away feeling it was a waste of money.

The restaurant was located in a multi-floor home on Wesley Lake, just around the corner from the hustle and bustle of Cookman Avenue. The first floor was more of a bar and lounge, and they had a live jazz band on the evening we visited. We checked in with the hostess and were escorted up to the second floor dining room, which was a charming spot that was breezy and comfortable, yet refined. The floor also had its own bar. Our server was on top of things, but was also clearly newer to the place. Regardless, once we got settled, she took our drink orders, which had taken us some time to decide on since the menu was creative and vast. I went with A Sidecar Named Desire, which included Courvoisier VSOP, Cointreau, Chinola passionfruit liqueur, and fresh lemon juice. I adore passion fruit and had always liked sidecars as well, so I figured it was worth a try, and I loved it! It had a good balance of tart sweetness and smokiness. My friend similarly enjoyed her spicy margarita, and we both imbibed while picking on some bread and herb butter. For our meal, we decided to start by sharing the Greek Salad, which was a massive bowl of romaine topped with tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, red onions, and Kalamata olives. We left off the feta cheese, but enjoyed the seasoned dressing made of red wine vinegar, honey, salt, oregano, and olive oil. It was a fresh and flavorful mix of vegetables that was a pleasure to eat. The entree options were endless and offered something for everyone. I wound up going with the Chilean Sea Bass, which was served over sweet onions and potatoes in a tomato herb reduction. The fish was tender and perfectly cooked. It was a light and tasty dish that seemed perfect for the Spring season. After our meals we were a bit too full for dessert, but we decided to get a second round of drinks, mainly because I was dying to try their Pistachio Espresso-Tini. Wow, was that drink delicious! It blended Ketel One Vodka, Mozart White Chocolate Liqueur, natural pistachio flavor, and fresh espresso. The coffee notes were not super prevalent, but the creaminess, nuttiness was the real highlight. It was a decadent way to end a delicious meal. After we settled the bill and headed downstairs, I noticed several bowls of after-dinner mints, which were a nice touch. From the relaxed atmosphere to the interesting and expansive menu, Moonstruck was a terrific option for our Asbury dinner experience.

Our server, Michael, provided by far the worst service we've ever received. He appeared to be under the influence of something, as he spent long periods simply standing around making odd faces while our table and several others waited and waited for him to acknowledge us. We were left wondering if anyone was going to take care of us. When my husband politely asked about our meal, Michael became rude instead of apologetic or helpful. The food itself had good flavor, but it arrived cold, like it was not served right away, which was disappointing. To end the meal, we ordered a cappuccino, but it was so poorly made that it tasted like nothing but warm milk. It was completely undrinkable. What makes this especially disappointing is that I've always loved Moonstruck. It's been one of my favorite restaurants because of its excellent food and outstanding service. If this is the level of service the new owners are willing to accept, I worry about the restaurant's future. I truly hope management addresses these issues because Moonstruck has always been top notch!

Taka has a vast menu with many options from appetizers to specialty sushi options. They provide alcoholic and non alcoholic mocktails for those of us not interested in consuming liquor.....the mocktails are fantastic. The only thing that made me rate 4 instead of 5 stars was the staff needs a bit of work on serving. When we were done with the appetizer our specialty sushi plates were bought out and the same server left the three empty plates from the appetizers on the table instead of removing them.
