We had reservations on a Friday evening fairly early. The restaurant was already pretty busy. We enjoy the feeling of intimate dining with the curtain partitions. The noise level is almost always low so you can actually have a conversation with your fellow diners. The waitstaff was attentive but not intrusive. The food at Paseo Grill never disappoints us. One special touch is reading glasses on each table. I'm a person who benefits from their thoughtfulness. Arrive a few minutes early to the Paseo to find parking. While the food was decent (not exceptional), we felt very rushed through dinner. We were seated at the bar and had a lovely conversation with the woman next to us. The weird part was that our reservation was at 530 and by 645, the hostess was telling us that someone was waiting for our seats. Not sure if that is typical when sitting at the bar that you are only given an hour and 15 min? On top of that, we were billed for a drink that never came. The wait staff really didn't want to change the bill (which I get - it's a hassle) but wanted to give us the drink (a few minutes later, we were told to hurry up and skedaddle). Paseo District is such a gem of an area in OKC. I highly suggest you visit if you're in town! With that said, I was able to visit this cool restaurant, Paseo Grill. When you walk in, you notice each seating area has a "privacy" curtain, which I appreciated. Having a reservation, my party was seated immediately. I don't think it's a requirement but useful to have. The waitress was very helpful with meal and wine suggestions. For my meal, I chose the Chicken Saltimbocca. The chicken was lightly breaded topped with provolone cheese and came with mashed potatoes and sweet carrots. This meal was delicious until the last bite! On our drive into town I googled "best dinners", but, hours later, past dinner time, I had completely forgotten what I'd found and started frantically yelping places to eat. By now I was famished and we were unfamiliar with the city. Frankly, I was beyond frustrated with Yelp's metrics (take note, Yelp) and I was becoming hangrier by the minute. My husband miraculously reminded me that I had found PASEO GRILL when I googled "best dinners" on the drive into town. We pulled into a cute little "village" of sorts which offered several dining spots. Obviously I can't speak to the quality of any of them but each looked like they would've been fine choices, several had outdoor seating, which is important to us. Though it was late, every so slightly nearing closing time, the folks at Paseo greeted us warmly and offered several seating options. Inside are cute little curtained booths which felt safe (in the time of Covid). Still, we chose to dine outside- it was lovely. Our server was delightful and helpful with our choices. I seem to recall starting with spinach artichoke dip served with warm thin chips (possibly made in house) and then each choosing a fish (we are pescatarian/vegetarian), each fantastic. Again, though it was really close to closing time they didn't deny me my dessert of bread pudding which was served beautifully, topped with a flower. Maybe not the best bread pudding ever but worth it just the same. I can't say enough about this lovely restaurant, so, stop your yelping right now and just go to Paseo Grill. read more

What have I been missing all this time???? So mad at myself for not trying this place sooner! Such a romantic setting. The curtains over each booth makes such a intimate dinner. We did not even notice other diners the whole night. The food was fantastic. I loved every single thing I ate. We started with the southwest dip with crabmeat and it was soooo good! We also had the fried green beans with the chipotle sauce and they were AMAZING. I could not stop eating them! I tried a bite of the filet and it was delicious. I had the chicken and it was perfection! Best chicken I've ever had in a restaurant. Perfectly moist with the light cheesy breading. I'll dream about it for months to come. Now that cheesecake is the best one I've had in the city! It beats Cheesecake Factory and so many other places, without a doubt! This is probably the best romantic restaurant in the city! read more

Yallll this place is 12/10! Went here for my anniversary and was blown away by the quality of the food. Our waitress was stellar and provided great service. It is a nice, quiet, quaint place that is perfect for a date or friendly meal. Started off with the scallops (12/10), then with the famous mushroom soup (15/10), then the DUCK (15/10), ending with their special dessert, chocolate cheesecake (10/10)! Visited Paseo Grill for our anniversary and enjoyed a great atmosphere and great food. She had the macadamia nut crusted halibut and asparagus. I had the wagu tenderloin with mashed potatoes. We had scallops and fried green beans as starters. The green beans are always great. Monica our server was very attentive and was very helpful with our selections. I can't think of a time I've been to Paseo Grill and gotten bad food. It's always good. I got the Chicken Saltimbocca ($22) and my wife got the Grilled Atlantic Salmon. Both were very good. The atmosphere of this restaurant was absolutely amazing. There were veils between each seating area, so it was very nice and private. The foods was absolutely amazing and worth what you pay for. Paseo Grill is one of my favorite restaurants. I have dined there for almost 10 years. I have experienced amazing service and great food until today. When my meal arrived, it was lukewarm and not enjoyable. I was seated in the back of the restaurant at a table by the window in a corner, because I am guessing it was just me dining. It would have been nice to be asked if I wanted to be seated at a booth which was preferable. I do appreciate being serviced, but my experience was not top notch. The atmosphere was weird! There are curtains behind each table, flower vase with glasses is the decor on the table, felt really old and dusty, and it was dark, not romantic, but dark. The menu items are all over the place. I ordered the Chicken Farfalle. It had six items on top of the chicken that came with the dish. It was so full of so many things that I felt overwhelmed eating it! My husband ordered the duck breast salad and it looked normal and he enjoyed his meal. We really enjoyed our experience at Paseo grill! The food was delicious! The hostess for the evening was also our waitress as it was a slow night. There are curtains hanging around each table which give it a very cozy feeling but you can open the ones at the end of your table. It is very dimly lit and they provide reading glasses at each table. We didn't use them and I found it to be a little strange. Our waitress was super nice and helpful. We were there to celebrate our daughters birthday and she brought a small dessert out with a candle for both of them! Will definitely go back ! read more

Ashley has received us in such a pleasant way, suggesting a soup of the day that celebrates my Mediterranean heritage, a very good gazpacho, as well as an unbeatable cream of mushroom soup. ***This review is regarding our last visit at Paseo Brill ONLY! *** Everything was fine until they brought us the wrong appetizer. We were fine about the mistake as they fixed it withing minutes and the manager that brought it out seemed fine about it as well. Same cannot be said about our server. Her entire demeanor changes and so did her attitude. The rest of the evening we were treated silently, with haste and displeasure. Someone else brought our food, she checked on us once in passing without even coming to a full stop at the table. Took our plates when were done along with our drinks, which still had a little in them, but she picked the glasses by sticking her fingers in them so there was no way to address it without causing a scene and frankly, by that point we were ready to head out and continue our evening elsewhere. Another thing, the food was average which is not what we've come to expect from this place. It's always been exceptional in the past. This is one of our favorite date night places in OKC so I hope it was one off experience and not how things are now. We haven't been there since before COVID so I don't know of staff (kitchen and front) was affected by it. Side note - Whoever decided to call the quacamole on top of the trout avocado kiwi salsa - it's not funny! Smh! read more

Paseo grill is a great tucked away restaurant in the arts district. It's eclectic decor is very appealing for a lunch meeting or a great date night venue. The food is delicious and reasonably priced. The drink menu has always been great and the deserts(mainly) the bread pudding is out of this world. I will say, I've visited this location many, many times and this is the first time the bread pudding wasn't on point. I had a terrible stomach ache after this visit and attributed it to the desert. I threw it away but non the less, I've always had a good response to their food and my experiences overall very good. I will try it again and maybe opt for a different desert! read more

Dinner was delicious. However, the service could've been more attentive and friendlier. I had the filet entrée. The beef tenderloin was tender and had little fat within the meat. It was cooked to my liking, and the meat itself was very flavorful. The sautéed mushroom had a good texture and had a nice hint of garlic in it. For the sides, the mashed potatoes were decent tasting while the glazed carrots were excellent. The carrots had just the right amount of sweetness and butter. Once we finished our dinner, a staff brought over some complimentary custard-like dessert with berries, adding a sweet ending to the night. read more

The ambience and the way it's compartmentalism is perfect for large parties and keeping the space intimidate and quite. When I asked about whether I should choose the meatloaf or the duck; Duck, was a resounding yes! "Chef recommends it be prepared medium." Same! Unfortunately, the duck did not come out medium and the staff agreed. When I suggested that they replace the duck with the less expensive meatloaf, it was a no...but here's a free desert. I didn't eat the duck and I left hungry with a $250 bill. Now we are headed to get me some fast food. How is this ok? Service is quick, professional, accommodating, and sociable. Ambiance is great, cozy, and good for conversation. Decor is cute and considering it is in the arts district, it's artsy. Now we go to the food. I couldn't express how great and tasty the food was. The mushroom soup is a must when dining, it was so good. They make their own dressing for salads. My husband and I went there for the first time and ate lunch together. It was OK, but I don't know that we never go again. We both thought our food was a four, but our service, depending on whether it's was the hostess or waitress was probably between a two and a three. I felt like we kind of bothered the hostess, but maybe we didn't, however, we are friendly people and enjoy being greeted positively. Our waitress was a little more personable, but not too much. She did bring us our food on time and gave us the right things that we ordered, however, she did not share with us at all, this restaurant had lunch specials. The only reason we knew they did was because after we ordered our food, and it was in the kitchen being prepared, some women sat behind us and asked the waitress if they had any lunch specials today. She said yes we do and started siting all of them. We were new customers and told both she and the hostess that and I feel like she should have told us what the lunch specials were. Actually, one of them sounded good and I may have gotten it and I known it was an option. My husband did enjoy his Cuban Sandwich and said it had a nice flavor. I had the tuna salad, I'm not exactly sure of the name of it, and I very much enjoyed the way the tuna was prepared. The salad part was OK for me and it was beautifully plated, but my favorite part was the tuna. We had fried green beans and enjoyed them and my husband really liked them. Overall, I think it had the potential to be a good restaurant, but I'm not sure we'll ever go again. read more

This place can do no wrong. On my birthday we had a few extras show up and we had the private room reserved, they quickly brought in another table and accommodated us easily. Natalie is always amazing! We usually order their seafood feature, last night was the cod. Boyfriend loved it and I tried the filet for the first time. SO good! There weren't any tables available till 9:30 and we prefer sitting at the bar so it worked out perfectly they had 2 spots at 7:30.
