We love this place. Food is always fresh and delicious. We have been going since 2019.

Surprisingly quiet for Fri HHR - which we prefer! HHR menu with discounted rolls (not sashimi), some Asian apps and drinks, 4:30-6:30. We ordered basically everything on the HHR menu - all delish - everyone happy. Service & presentation was wonderful. Parking is around the corner in garages - free for 4hrs.

I wanted some Hibachi and decided that I would let Yelp be my guide. This place came up as a suggestion. I've had my fair share of hibachi but this place left me with many questions then answers. I ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi lunch and a sushi roll. The hibachi lunch was served with miso soup. The soup was nice and hot. The steak and shrimp although was flavorful was a small portion. If you wanted fried rice you had to pay $2 extra. I ordered the honey Boston roll. The roll had shrimp, cucumber, avacado and asparagus with honey wasabi sauce. I didn't taste much of the honey wasabi sauce. Usually I have a ton of food left over when I eat from a hibachi restaurant. Today was definitely not the case.

We went here during happy hour on a Tuesday or Wednesday. It wasn't busy at all. Our server was attentive and ensured our order was correct and we had everything we needed! The food was good! Definitely recommend for a sushi happy hour. We got miso soup, house salad, spring rolls and a few sushi rolls. The spring rolls were so hot, fresh and crisp. The rolls were yummy and filling. We will come here again for a good happy hour!

This is my go to place for reliable take out sushi, especially for lunch. I almost always get their lunch three roll special or their spicy roll special. Their sushi is t mind blowing but it is a good value and hits the spot when you have a sushi craving. I was originally irked by an experience I had there but decided to give it another go and glad I did. There is one female hostess who is very unfriendly but the male hosts have all been friendly and polite. I've been coming here for many years, and remember trying their Asian dishes outside of sushi and it was always hit or miss. Will likely just stick to sushi.

Roti Canai - best thing I ate. They can make this without the chicken.

This is a great place if you are craving some sushi and Hibachi. It's located in Merrifield area, but in the not crowded area. The service was great. The ambitious is nice. And we had a great time. There are tons of veggie options available. But I tried the following: - Roti Canai (without chicken): order this without thinking. Yes, it's that good. I was licking the curry off the bowl. They can make this vegetarian as well. - Vegetable Roll: this was delicious. We ordered two of these rolls. - Drunken Noodles: this was mediocre. Wasn't a fan of this. It was bland. And too sweet. Drunken noodles should have a bit of a kick. Overall, amazing place to dine. There is something for everyone. Go ahead and try it out.

It was a bit unsettling to see them with 0 guests when we arrived at 7pm for dinner. I wondered if they were closed or not having any dining service. Turns out, there simply was no one there but open. 1. Reservation: unnecessary as can be read from previous sentence 2. Service: 3 stars, 2 different servers coming and one was rude and the other very pleasant 3. Food: certain rolls were much better than others. Midori roll was my favorite Rest were simply okay 4. Hot tea and drinks available All in all, a decent place. I would still come here

This is a great place to eat some Asian food. Food - Great, the orange chicken was delicious, it comes with rice and miso soup or salad. I liked the miso soup. The gyoza is good, but the cocktail was not that special. Service - Good Parking - There is a parking lot nearby Overall, this place is great.

Picked a great day to visit this location. The interior is quite spacious but chose to sit outside. Generous outdoor seating also. Note, if you are north of 5'9 under table leg room is dicey. Ordered tea with honey, the fact they had honey was a plus. Sushi!! As you can see from the pictures. The sushi was amazing. Knocked it out of the park with my selection. Yes I did play it safe with the Philly roll, but I usually do as a sushi safety net, just in case. Service was great, my waitress always ensured I had a full cup of tea. If nothing else try the White fish hand roll and Lobster Fantasy roll, I added real crab, it was so good.

My takeout was ready in timely fashion, and there was definitely some quality there. My kung pao tofu was a little sweet as the dish normally is, but also amply spicy as I requested and came with plenty of peanuts, extra-crispy tofu, and a few other vegetables. Lo mein was a fairly straightforward soy-garlic affair, though I must say I appreciated the option to add some tofu to that as well. My spring rolls came sauceless and were fairly basic and cabbage-y, but a decent way to round out a meal. I appreciated their thorough vegetarian labeling; of course some things were not available to me that I wish they would make vegetarian, but the most important thing is being able to make informed decisions. I skipped the ma po tofu this time, but they claim it offers genuine numbing sensations and they did enough to convince me that it might be worth coming back to try.

Had never heard of this place, but a…read moreFacebook friend raved about the drunken noodles here, and I noticed the spot wasn't too far from me (within short walking distance of the Dunn Loring Metro stop in Merrifield near Vienna), so I decided to walk over and check it out. Went over a few Saturdays ago a little before 2 PM. Semi-small spot, but it wasn't busy, so plenty of seats were available and I was basically able to sit anywhere. (I'll point out that while they do serve beer and wine here, there is no bar area or TVs in the restaurant.) This is one of those spots where you have to access the menu through your phone--no paper menus (unless maybe you ask). Not too much of a problem for me because I knew what I'd come for: the drunken noodles. Not much for vegetables mixed in with my meat, so I ordered the beef drunken noodles with no veggies (except for basil, which I left in) and scrambled egg. Ordered at spice level 4 (extra spicy); spice levels range from 0 (not spicy) to 5 (Thai spicy). I love spicy food, but I was warned by the waiter not to choose spice level 5 (LOL), so I went with 4 just to be safe. Don't know if it was because they weren't too busy, but the noodles came out blazingly fast--in less than 5 minutes! And the noodles were excellent too--honestly, up there with some of the best noodles I've ever had! At a spice level of 4, you could feel the spice, but it wasn't bad at all. I think spicy food lovers would be perfectly fine at 4 or even 5. The noodles were also well-portioned and fantastic. The base price for the noodles was around $14. While most protein add-ons are no extra charge, the beef option was an extra $2, and adding scrambled egg was another $2. With taxes, the price for my noodles came out to around $20, which wasn't bad at all considering my add-ons. Customer service was good--the waiter was nice, prompt, and informative about the menu (which honestly isn't the easiest to navigate online). Great experience overall, and I was in and out of the restaurant in less than 25 minutes. Enjoyed my meal so much that I came back a couple days later for their Monday-Friday lunch special, where you get a free appetizer (chicken soup, tofu soup, or crispy veggie dumplings at the spice level of your choice) with any entree. Ordered the beef drunken noodles and chicken soup, both at spice level 5. Both came out quickly and were excellent. Also tried the recommended Thai iced tea for the first time, which was also very good. No complaints about Kiin Imm Thai--I see why they're so highly rated here, and I'll definitely be returning as a regular. Only regret is living within walking distance of this spot for over 3 years and not being aware of it. In addition to this location in the Vienna area (close to the Dunn Loring Metro), I believe they also have a sister location of the same name in Rockville, Maryland. Highly recommend!

I was seriously craving Chinese food and needed wonton soup. NEEDED! Upon entering, my friend mentioned the fact the restaurant was empty wasn't a good sign and had a 3.5 rating. Well, don't let that deter you because some of the best Chinese restaurants have a 3.5 rating on Yelp (check out the numerous articles written about this topic)! I tried to persuade my friend but she opted out of ordering anything and wanted to wait to see if I liked my food first. My friend proposed that after I finished, we head next door to Sisters Thai so she could order her dinner. Well, for starters - the food came out fast and I devoured the wonton noodle soup within 10 minutes. The broth and wontons were so flavorful. Interesting choice that they used wheat noodles instead of the standard egg noodles though still loved it. I also like that the broccoli had a nice crunch. Yes, wonton soup typically has bok choy but the broccoli was great. My only regret is why haven't I tried this place sooner?!?! My friend thought I was rushing so she could eat dinner but it was just so good! It was a great portion as well. I gave her one of my wontons to try and she said "wow!!!" Once I finished vacuuming my wontons soup, we walk over to Sisters Thai, but I knew I had to try more food from District Dumplings. You would think I would have been full from the wonton noodle soup but I am a glutton. So, I ordered the pork & shrimp dumplings to go via DoorDash and picked them up as a to-go order and bought them back to Sisters Thai. I had no shame and happily took out the dumplings from the to-go container and put them on my plate. The dumplings were so unreal that they didn't even need to be dipped in soy sauce. They were good as is and flavorful! Even my friend wanted to eat the dumplings and asked for four of them. Luckily, the staff at Sisters Thai didn't make it a big deal but they probably saw that I bought outside food. I'm coming back for more District Dumplings!! I was so happy to have tried a new restaurant and kept pointing at the restaurant that this was my new favorite place. Strangers saw how happy I was and smiled (or maybe because I looked crazy). Will have to gorge myself next time in trying more of the unique dumpling flavors! Additionally, extra plastic bowls for sharing had to be requested as well. Maybe that would be good to have at the self-service station as well! Overall, the staff was friendly, but I think there are some aspects that could be incorporated to improve the customer experience. Thank you!

I placed a catering/pickup order at 8:30 AM for my friend's birthday, with a scheduled pickup time of 12:30 PM. When I arrived to pick up the order, I was told that everything I had ordered was sold out. The frustrating part was that I was never notified ahead of time, so I had no opportunity to make another selection before arriving. Since my friend doesn't eat chicken, I had to find another seafood option on the spot. Once I found something that would work, I had to pay an additional $15 and then wait another 20 minutes for the new order.
