I am so excited to have Pasta Loioco in Torrance. Fresh pasta is a treat, and it is so much better when it is gluten free. They have a store front on Torrance Blvd., which was last occupied by a tasty gluten-free bakery. Pasta Loioco has expanded beyond just pasta offerings and echo the prior tenant with some tasty baked goods as well. We were looking forward to having this new shop, and we were so disappointed when the "Grand Opening" ended up being the first weekend of the Pandemic 2020 shutdown, so it was postponed. Never fear! We ordered a sampler of their products and picked them up. The pastas are fantastic. The spinach and ricotta stuffed raviolis were incredible (4.5 stars). After cooking them to just al dente in boiling water for 3 minutes, I tossed them with browned butter and was blown away. They were well seasoned and the pasta had excellent texture. A few of the raviolis were not crimped all the way and a few were split in the middle, so they could use some work on their consistency in delivery, but they were delicious. There were absolutely no issues with the red beet penne (5 stars). Although it was mismarked as 10 oz., it was as promised on the website and had a pound of pasta. Again, just shy of 3 minutes from frozen in boiling water was perfect. The pasta was flavorful and fresh. I turned it into a wonderful dish with garlic, spinach, capers and hazelnuts. I was a bit disappointed by the lasagna (2 stars). The cooking instructions were way off. They were not included with the lasagna, but the proprietor was prompt with a response to the question. I had to cook it twice as long (40 minutes rather than 20 minutes) and think it should have been a higher temperature than 375 degrees. The pasta sheets were nice, and the tomato sauce was good quality, but the ricotta was not well seasoned and the "veggies" were carrots, celery and onions (no zucchini like pictured online). I would not get this again. I would order the cupcakes again (4 stars). We had the chocolate-chocolate and the chocolate-banana varieties. The cupcake portion had great quality cocoa but leaned a little dry. This is frequently an issue with cupcakes, because they need to be sturdy enough to hold the frosting. And, it is the frosting that it brings it all together. I preferred the chocolate to the banana, but that is entirely a flavor preference. Both buttercreams were rich and delicious. They were sufficiently generous to have a bit with every bite. I highly recommend ordering from this new pasta shop. Support a new small business! The raviolis and fresh, unfilled pastas are worth the drive. And, everyone needs dessert, so get a cupcake. Plus, the proprietor is very helpful and generally responsive. read more

Not sure why this place has a yelp page, it makes things confusing. I called the number here, seems like someone's cell phone, someone answers the phone and answers as if I'm bothering them, I proceed to ask if it was the gluten free pasta place, they respond yes and I ask where they are located and they hang up on me. I ended up finding it but there is no sign outside, it's all blacked out. I don't know any other information about the place but maybe reading this will save someone some time before driving there or calling. read more

This is not a restaurant or even a storefront where you can walk in and buy pasta. It is a commercial kitchen/co-packing facility that makes and packages pasta for stores like Bristol Farms. You cannot buy anything here. No idea why they have a yelp page or even a sign out front. read more

This food was absolutely awful. Not only that, it took over an hour and a half to be delivered locally through door dash. The cheese ravioli had a strange sweet aftertaste that did not go well with the pasta. The Alfredo sauce was watery and quite bland. The food itself looks AND tastes like it's straight from a Nursing home, just packaged and filled with no soul. The cookies were dry and disgusting. I was super impressed with this pasta, super fresh and soooo delicious, my daughter literally begs me to go get the butternut squash raviolis constantly and it's an easy plea to fulfill because I agree with her, they're so satisfying! I believe they either have many gluten free options or may be all gluten free..? for me either is fine, I couldn't tell the difference in taste if they are so thats always bonus as we often have friends over that have restrictions and its never as satisfying when you can tell that something is gluten free by taste, no problem with that here! Delicious!!!!!! We ordered gnocchi and asparagus ravioli. The portions are so large we only made the gnocchi. They didn't even need sauce, we served with some good olive oil and Parmesan. Gnocchi were flavorful and had a light, amazing texture. It's not just the best gluten free pasta, it is the best pasta. Can't wait to try the ravioli. I came across this restaurant yesterday and I am SOOOOO glad that I did. I was in a pasta mood but I didn't know where to go since I am new to veganism. So what did I do, that's right hopped on good ol yelp to help a sista out lol. I found this hidden gem in Torrance and it was an absolutely treat. They have non vegan and vegan options and they also have gluten free options as well. The menu will definitely keep you undecided, theres so many awesome things to choose from. I went with the Vegan Artichoke Ravioli w/ Marinara Sauce and let me tell you!!!! AMAZING! a definite must try. I also picked up the Spinach and Cheese Lasagna for my sister and she LOVED it!! Amazing pastas and I am obsessed with their ravioli. I've bought both the Wild Mushroom and Butternut Squash filled ravioli and enjoy them equally.
