I am unsure if this place is still open (see photo). I hope they still are! --------- Post edited. Thanks for your response Roberto! Im glad you're still open (and miss that you're not in the Torrance location anymore).

a sign in their shop it made us emotional. thank you to the business owner! this meant more to us than we can express.

WOW life changing for me (a celiac) who misses authentic italian cooking. this pasta was incredible - the ravioli was so good! the sauces wonderfully rich with flavor! clearly prepared with love and attention to detail. when we walked into their store, we were greeted kindly by the owner. he quickly finished cooking our food when we arrived so by the time we got back home to eat, it was perfectly hot. we felt safe and welcome in their business, and the meal we enjoyed was so special.

I usually don't care about gluten-free products but this pasta is purely DEVINE!!! Everything I've tried from this place is delicious and easy to make, and it takes you to an afternoon in sunny Tuscany, busy Rome, or a walk through the canals in Venezia. Grazie mille Pasta Loioco!

Somebody was celebrating graduations, there was birthdays there was a baseball team overall just a really busy restaurant. Nothing notable about the ambience overall just comfortable place for a very, just like family, friendly Restaurant vibe. I have the burrata caprese and I think it could use more balsamic I mean burrata is burrata so it was fantastic. The tiny tomatoes throw me off a little bit for but like in general everything was delicious.. My friend ordered the lasagna which I was a little bit envious of after I saw it. It's a huge portion and it's absolutely fantastic.. I had the night special, which is chicken piccata, which was overall very lovely buttery lemon and tangy could've used a little bit more pasta, and the broccoli was cooked really well in general lovely. We share the tiramisu for dessert and I really can't complain. I think it could've been a little bit more punchy when it came to the coffee in the rum, but it was still really good. And General service was great. They were really busy so it wasn't anything too frequently and the manager or the owner checked in on the tables and I'm happy that we went here..

Negative.. -Penne Asparagi was delicious with mushrooms, asparagus, sauce and penne pasta. Also had ther italian chopped salad which is good, but not as good as the past. - Butternut Squash Ravioli was ok, it had way too much cheese and overshadowed the squash. This is also a $2.00 upcharge. Also had ther pear gorgonzola salad which is great. - Bread that is served with the meal is soft and a stand out star, delicious! Service and decor are nice as well.

I ordered the lasagna along with Jamie's mozzarella balls, and both dishes felt like they came straight out of someone's family kitchen. The lasagna was layered generously, with rich meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and perfectly melted cheese on top. Each bite had depth and warmth, without tasting overly heavy. It's the kind of dish that makes you slow down and really enjoy it. Jamie's mozzarella balls were a fun way to start the meal. Lightly crisp on the outside and gooey inside, they paired really well with the marinara sauce, which had a bright, fresh tomato flavor. They disappeared from the plate quickly. The dining room has a welcoming, neighborhood feel. It's lively but still comfortable, and you can tell many guests are regulars. The team working there brought a cheerful energy and checked in just enough to make sure everything was going smoothly. Mama D's delivers hearty, satisfying Italian comfort food in a setting that feels genuinely inviting. I'd happily return when I'm craving a classic pasta night done right.

Recently stopped by here about a year after trying it for the first time…read more I have to say, Pasta Stories really stepped up their game in terms of serving time! The first time I ate here, it took maybe 20-25 minutes for me to get my food. This time, I had my food in around 10 minutes. I was very impressed with this big decrease in wait time. This time I tried the new Hokkaido cream pasta, which tasted super fresh and made to order. The cream was warm and rich without feeling over the top like some other cream-based pasta sauces from Italian/American places. I liked the addition of spinach and mushrooms as well. The restaurant is in a food court with a few other options, and a decent amount of seating. It's also inside of a grocery store, so if you're with a picky group, everyone could theoretically order something different and eat together. I remember I was a little put off by the anime branding of the restaurant at first (it seemed a little childish to me) but Pasta Stories is really a solid wafu pasta place, and I love that they focus on different regional flavors of Japan. Prices are very affordable as well, with most pastas being around $15 and under.

I personally have tried the following: Hokkaido Cream Pasta (newest addition as of late) Fukuoka Mentaiko Butter Pasta Kyoto Matcha Cream Pasta (one of my favorite dishes here - pair with salmon for a strong, umami flavor profile) Iwate Triple Mushroom Pasta Okinawa Pork Ragu Spaghetti (THE number 1 pick, however was not on the menu when I visited last) Osaka American Wagyu Meat Sauce There is a strong attention to Japanese flavors fusing with traditional Italian pasta dishes and are all made with love and care. I always recommend this place to friends and family, I can't get enough of it!

The São Paulo side was my favorite. The chicken was flavorful, the corn added a nice touch of sweetness, and the creamy catupiry brought everything together perfectly. The Calabresa side was also really good, with tasty sausage and onions. Everything tasted fresh, and the crust was thin and soft. What really made the experience stand out was the owner. He is actually from Brazil and was incredibly kind and welcoming, and you could tell he genuinely cares about his food and his customers. That kind of personal touch makes a big difference.
