Pretty average. Tapas were a little overpriced if you ask me. I would give it four stars because the sangrias are so delicious, but the flavor of the montadito I tried was so salty!! I believe it was called the churrasco, the meat was tender and I wish it wasn't so salty but unfortunately it was too much for me. I also tried their house salad WITH CHICKEN, but the moment I tasted it, I knew it was pork. It just didn't taste like chicken, no matter how much you wanna convince me! It was also very salty too. I hope they realize that people DO taste the difference, and once they do they most likely will not come back. I wish I had the receipt still but it said chicken too. I'm most likely not returning, I think this place might be a little overhyped but I completely understand why people enjoy their drinks. Also, the vibe of this restaurant during happy hour is horrendous. If you're trying to have a conversation with a friend after work here, good luck. There are trucks and cars beeping through to get home during the rush hour and it's a little too noisy to be sitting outside. Even if you tried to sit indoors, there's very limited seating. This might be my new favourite spot in boca! It's a family run little tapas spot. They have outdoor and indoor seating. We sat inside because I'm a wimp and was cold! The have a nice selection of beer and wine, not a massive list but a good selection. I had a glass of wine and Greg F. had a beer. We first ordered some of the tapas. We had the pork belly, churassco, and the Siberian sturgeon caviar with smoked salmon. All came bruschetta style. There is one piece per order, so if you are just a party of two, you can share by cutting it in half or just order 2. Each ranged from about $4 to 12$. The pork belly was delicious, melt in your mouth. The churassco was the best I've had. And the Siberian sturgeon caviar with smoked salmon, holy crap that was good. The smoked salmon itself was delicious and the caviar on top really took it to another level. We then ordered two entree-style items. Both could also work for tapas. I got the churassco entree (yeah the tapa was that good I got more). It came sliced with an arugula salad and small new potatoes. The churassco was so tender I used a butter knife to cut it. It was amazing. Greg F. got the pork belly sandwich, he said it was amazing and that the pork belly was out of this world. The service was also wonderful and you could tell this was a family run spot (the kids were there). I love to support small family run restaurants. Went here while visiting family in Boca. My uncle suggested we try it after reading yelp and I'm extremely glad we did. The place is new and doesn't look too fancy just yet but I promise this small restaurant packs a big punch. The inside is quaint, clean and very nice. There's a shared outdoor eating area which we enjoyed. We had sangria, chicken croquettes, fried octopus, garlic shrimp, sweet chips, tortilla espanola, montadito iberico and lemon custard to finish. Everything was unreal. The chef was really friendly and knocked everything out of the park. He even gave us some tapas on the house which were also amazing. The chef/owner is a great guy and had some interesting stories to boot. Absolutely no complaints - a five star experience for sure. I wanted to love this place as so many others have but my lunch experience wasn't stellar. I ordered a latte to start, it arrived cold. We ordered the pork belly montadito, which was flavorful but really wasn't the best pork belly I've ever eaten, it didn't rival Dada's in Delray candied pork belly at all. Although points are given for presentation, it looked fabulous. Next we ordered the Patatas Bravas (crispy potatoes with brava sauce and aioli) and the Churrasco skirt steak cooked medium. Again, they looked lovely, but everything just seemed so oily. The Patatas needed to be sat awhile so the oil could wick away, and the steak was sat in an oily dressing also... it was just too much for me. There was no beer on tap, and I feel like if it is going to be listed in the name, then there should be a priority set on draught beer, not $6 per bottle, they are surrounded by other establishments that all have draughts. Prices here in my opinion are steep, particularly considering they are tapas and you will need more than one. Overall it was a $50 lunch, even in Boca that is heavy. Lastly, I used my Yelp check in for a free glass of Sangria... wow, highlight on my meal and it was the only part that didn't cost me. The Sangria was legit, having had Sangria in Spain, I know that this is some good homemade stuff. So will I come back? Quite possibly, but only for happy hour drinks, the food I'll skip on unfortunately. read more
