Great new Spanish restaurant in Royal Palm Place in downtown Boca. Authentic cuisine in beautifully decorated restaurant. Inside dining or patio dining with live Spanish music tableside. Perfect place for a romantic evening or just because! Food options were original and fresh and very satisfying to the taste. Prices were reasonable and service was exceptional! Same great food in an excellent newer, larger location. One of our favorite local spots for outstanding Spanish tapas. We definitely have our favorites. I always order the Patatas Bravas, with perfectly cooked potatoes topped with creamy red and white sauces. The fresh anchovies, coated in oil and lemon and neatly lined up on the plate, are another must-order. It's always fun to try a variety of croquettes, which are served with small slices of bread and different mouth-watering toppings like duck breast , beef, or pork. My husband always orders the chicken croquetas, which are creamy on the inside with a perfect light and crunchy exterior. The grilled octopus is also very good. The cuisine reflects influences from all over Spain rather than focusing on one specific region. And of course, no Spanish meal is complete without great drinks. They offer good Spanish wines, house-made sangria, and cold Estrella Damm beer (I prefer the Barcelona version over the Galicia one, both are available). There's also a full bar. Save room for dessert. Most desserts are made in-house, and they are absolutely worth it. The Basque-style cheesecake is divine and a standout, it's rich, creamy, and not overly sweet. It alone is reason enough to plan ahead and leave space at the end of the meal. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating, and on some nights a singer entertains diners outside. The interior is nicely decorated with subtle Spanish touches throughout. A parking lot is available, though parking can be a bit crowded and challenging during peak season. Happy Hour is served Tuesday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with great drink and tapas specials, providing an excellent time to sample favorites or try something new.

Opened this new location last week and stopped in for happy hour tapas. Upon entering, my eyes were laser focused at the bar sporting a clear mega jug of fresh Sangria with the saturated orange wedges floating on top. Sat at the bar and the bartender told us that for happy hour the Sangria was only $3.50 per glass and all tapas were $2.50 each. Ordered the Sangria with the Churrasco and Piquillo Relleno tapas. The fresh Sangria was sweet and strong but the tapas made my taste buds dance. If I was not going to dinner in an hour I would have tried every tapas on the menu. They were absolutely a blast of mediterranean flavors. The hallway to the bathrooms were colorful and produced a feeling of old Spain with greenery and roses hanging from the ceiling (see pic). The gender assigned bathroom was clean with a classic theme of green walls and gold accents on the mirror, faucet and handicap bars. It was nice to see the management took their time with the thoughtful decor.

Let's start with the ambiance. Beautiful evening in Boca. We were seated outside as requested. Beautilfully lit with string lights and individual table top LED lights that allowed you to read the menu but keep the vibe. We ordered a bottle of Malbec wine(great pricing for the wine) to share and the live musician started to play and it really set the mood. Tapas is our favorite way of eating. Lots of small plates allow you to try many things. We ordered the mantaditos in a few selections Jamon iberico and manchego, Cordero estafado(lamb), Gamba(shrimp) Foie Gras, and the Spanish tortilla. They we all amazing and seasoned perfectly. We closed out our meal with churros and chocolate sauce. What a perfect evening!

I think this is now my new happy hour place on Mondays. The sangria was sweet and delish but the tapas were so unique and each bite was an instant WOW. The Spanish wall decor was beautiful and the bartender made my first visit enjoyable.

We came in here for a quick snack and wow I was impressed at how delicious it was!!!! On Sundays they have 2 for 1 sangrias so we tried that. It was delicious! Had a hint of nutmeg (I think) which was an interesting touch. It was too hot outside to enjoy the patio, but the outdoor area has a lot of tables. The indoor area is pretty small, just a small bar and a couple little tables. The server was so helpful at explaining the menu and made some great recommendations. Most items are small bites or meant to share. Will definitely be back!

There's food, and then there's feast. Patio Tapas & Beer is the latter. This unassuming, but glorious restaurant next to a French patisserie and across from a parking lot will blow you away with its simplicity and its absolute beauty, served on each and every plate. Patio is lively, welcoming, and a dining experience befitting the most passionate food fiend. Almost better than the food (almost) are the lovely servers - gracias Andrea y Jacob! The Duck Breast montadito may be the most perfect bite of food I have ever had in my life. It, quite literally, brought tears to my eyes. The churassco with marble potatoes, mojo Verde and topped with arugula is nothing short of proof of God. This, THIS, is how you show love through food. I wouldn't just bring friends or family to Patio. I hope everyone, everywhere gets a chance to try this little miracle in Boca Raton. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. I love this restaurant, it always makes me feel like I am in Europe! I tried the caviar, gamba, churassco and iberian ham montanitas. Super delicious! We visited on a Friday night and they had great live music and ambience, the staff is friendly, food and Sangria were great. Definitely recommend!

I used to live in Barcelona and I've been craving some traditional Spanish food for a while. This place is super authentic and has amazing traditional Spanish dishes. The food came out fast and the waiter was attentive and constantly refilled our waters. The montaditos were incredible, especially the pepper one. I also really enjoyed the pulpo dish and the patatas bravas brought me back to España! So glad we found this place - would definitely love to come back!

This was such a pleasant surprise! We were actually going to another restaurant and saw the reviews for this one. What a perfect choice! Loved everything about this place. Wanted to try something different for a lunch date with a friend and decided to try Patio Tapas and Beer based on Yelp reviews. If you're looking for delicious Spanish food in Boca, this didn't disappoint. Located in the Mizner Park area in East Boca, it is easy to get to. Parking may be an issue on a busy evening because of all the restaurants in the area, and even on a weekday afternoon there weren't many spots left. The restaurant itself is charming. We chose to eat outside on the patio, it being a beautiful breezy afternoon. Dog lovers will love this place. The server brought out water bowls for their canine guests at the next table. The menu had the Lunch specials at a slightly lower price than the evening menu. At that time of the day, the place wasn't full and the service was quick and efficient. Although we would have loved to try all the Tapas, we settled on the Pork Belly and the Piquillo Relleno. They are individual small plates which we cut in half and shared and was the perfect size for a bite each. Delicious! I ordered the Lamb Bocadillo sandwich with a side salad. The baguette was toasted just right, the meat tender and flavorful. We ended the meal with a Crema Catalana for my friend, which was similar to a creme brûlée and Ahogado for me: espresso over vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. The perfect way to end the meal. This is our neighborhood hangout. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Octopus salad is AMAZING Patatas bravas and spanish omelette are also great. Authentic spanish menu items and beer make the experience feel authentic. Not to mention that their outdoor space is a great spot to sit back with friends or bring along the pup. read more

Really small, cute place only a couple of blocks from the beach. We were short on time, or I would have tried more things. But the Crispy Pork Belly and Octopus Salad I had were out of this world! Excellent food, reasonable prices, especially for this area. Good service, waiters explained everything on the menu and knew the ingredients inside and out. I love tapas because I can be indecisive and adventurous and try lotsof little bites of different things. It's mostly outdoor seating, so nice cafe ambience, but on a hot and humid evening in July, we were skeptical. But they had fans! Perfect. The pork belly was a fave. As was the duck, the lamb chops, and the Spanish ham and cheese board. The Spanish omelet with chorizo (kinda like a quiche) was flavorful too. And poached in olive oil, which is just cool. This hidden gem near Mizner is a great spot for authentic Spanish tapas. I highly recommend the sangeia, duck and pork belly. Also, make sure you see if there is a Yelp check-in special. It was only one per table when I was there. Wonderful for a nice cool day to sit outside. read more

New date night initiative is to explore south, starting with boca. We had the usual "what do you want to eat?" 3 hour convo and finally closed on Tapas... mainly because it's quick, and simple, and not really expensive. Pulling up, parking isn't bad, but it's not your valet style scenario. The seating is mostly outside l, with 3 tables sheltered from the heat. The operation is compact, 1 server, maybe 2 other staff. Here's the list of everything we got on a 0/5 scale Tapenade: 4- large amount, tasty Duck breast: 3 Pork: 3- couldn't really tell the difference between this and duck Lamb: 4 Tomato: 4- seasoned well, but the liquid softened the bread Frois grois: 5- yeah it's $15, but it's amazing. Iberico ham: 4.5- probably a 5 but I want more Pulpo salad: 5. Never had octopus served like this, and the salad part wasn't overdressed. This easily was the largest portion Croquettes: 5- 5 little corn dog size nuggets of chicken and bechemel sauce Ice cream with espresso: 5 Cotton candy with fruit: 3.5. Presentation is amazing, but cotton candy is meh Custard: 5. Not quite creme brûlée, more liquid, with lemon dash each tapas dish is 1 piece, so keep that in mind when ordering read more

This place was recommended to be by a fellow Elite member so logically I had high expectations. I was pleased with the food quality. We got the Piquillo Relleno & Brocheta de Salmon to start. They were both good but the salmon one made me feel like I was eating a bagel with lox. Probably wouldn't get that one again. The Chicken Croquettas were everything they were hyped up to be and then some. if you go there, get them! For our main, we shared a Churrasco. There was no complaints about that. It was delicious and I wish I got my own. That was definitely worth the stomach ache late that night. The place itself was very small but the patio was big. It had the feeling that you are in Spain having a snack. We also got house-made Sangria with our yelp check in. That was really good also. It was pretty pricey but I would still go back if it were a special occasion. read more

The food is good, location is good, small staff translates in the service and they tried to keep up with the Friday evening rush. The portion to price ratio is extremely small, unfortunately I've eaten more equal/better for alot less. If you dont mind paying the price then it's a cool spot and the staff is friendly. read more

Had a great evening here during our stay in Boca. Little bites packed with amazing flavor. The skirt steak, lamb, and tomato "bocadillos" were exceptional in particular and we ended up reordering several rounds of them. We spent a lovely rainy evening at the patio - had the duck, piquito relleño & Iberian ham tapas, followed by the pork belly bocadillo & finally the chorizo tortillas. Checked in with yelp for a free sangria. Our server was pleasant & attentive. Ambiance was romantic. The bocadillo was really out of this world - a tangy solo really complemented the pork. I could have ordered a 2nd. Tapas were of good quality. The sangria was pretty tasty, and definitely was not watered down. Nice place with my service a nice food. read more

Overall the food was tasted okay, some things better than others. The service could've been much better though. Our server only came up to our table maybe once after we got our food and then again to give us the check. We wanted to order more food and drinks but were not given the chance to. Favorite date night spot. The tapas are delicious and they pair perfectly with a good wine. My favorite are: the pan con tomate, duck breast, and piquillo relleno. Bryant Fajardo is the owner and chef of Patio Tapas and Beer. A graduate from Le Cordon Bleu in Los Angeles, Bryant's culinary skills were further developed by working with, and learning from, some of the best chefs in the industry, including Chef Walter Menzke, owner of Republiquela rated by TIME Magazine as one of the 11 best new restaurants in the world! Another big mentor for Bryant, was Chef Jose Andres, owner of Bazaar Restaurant. While working for Chef Jose Andres in Los Angeles, and later Miami Beach, Bryant discovered his love for the Spanish cuisine. Brian and his team at Patio Tapas do an incredible job of making fine dining style dishes and culinary experiences accessible in a shareable tapas style. We actually enjoy Patio so much so that they catered our wedding in 2018. They have some of the best red sangria I've ever had, I can't ever do less than two glasses. For a lower carb option they make a traditional Spanish style "tortilla" (similar to an omelette, but not considered a breakfast meal, per se) that is light, fluffy, tasty, and filling. It's not easy finding a decent Tapas place but this is one of the best ones I have ever been to. It's small and quaint. I like sitting inside when it's really hot outside but I think this place is meant for being outdoors. The sangria is really good and so are all of their beers. For tapas we had: duck breast( this was amazing: lean, juicy and flavorful on toasted baguette), churrasco, crispy pork belly, olive tapenade, potatoes patio, salmon, and shrimp(gambas). By far my favorite place to come to for tapas. The sangria is really good - wish they would get white sangria. I love the pulpo salad - that is amazing. The gambas are really delicious too. read more
